THE ORIGINAL TIMELINE
2035
Barry Allen was sitting in an office of an old friend of his, looking down at an old family photo of him and Peter as kids. It was Peter's first Christmas with a toothy smile as he looked at the camera and Barry holding him.
"Barry?" An old family friend got his attention away from the photo and up to Tina McGee.
In the original timeline, Harrison Wells and STAR Labs never found Barry after he was struck by lightning. Instead of Caitlin Snow or any of them helping him control his powers, it was Tina. He never met her, Cisco, or Harrison Wells. After he woke up, Barry would come to her for his mental and physical help as she knew what his job was like inside and outside the mask. Not to mention his time as a member of a worldwide team.
"You spaced out again," Tina informed him.
"Sorry," Barry sighed as he put the photo away.
"It's understandable as to why," Tina said as she was looking over her notes. "I wouldn't be as functional if my brother was killed. But your friends, both work friends are worried. I mean, when Bruce Wayne calls-"
"My brother died because I couldn't protect him." Barry interrupted her with tears swelling up. "I was supposed to protect him."
"Barry, you were across the city. There was no way you could have made it in time." Tina was sorry to tell him. "Even if you did get there in time, you'd need still need to fight off the Reverse-Flash, trying to get to him."
"I should have saved him." Barry kept muttering to himself. "I should have been faster. I should have protected him."
Unknown to them, The Watcher was looking down at them in sadness. "The Reverse-Flash took everything from Barry Allen just to hurt him. But in the darkness, Barry Allen prevailed and stopped him. But this new timeline has been altered that it was unrecognizable to the first one."

Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful. And since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
The Watcher looked down at Joe's place, where Barry and Joe were setting up Christmas decorations in the living room while Christmas Carol played in the background. After a quick moment with Iris heading out with Eddie, Peter came in after a knock and saw his brother.
"Hey, Barry." Peter greeted his brother.
"Hey, Pete, what's going on?" Barry asked him as he was still placing ornaments on the tree.
"Nothing much, helped my friend Flash with an exam before he could get to winter break, I am officially free," Peter tells him as he made his way to the tree. "He escaped last night, couldn't help but rob the first bank he saw."
"That's good to hear," Barry commented as he placed another ornament on the tree. "Hey, so you have news on the idea?"
"On the Christmas party?" Peter asked him.
A few days ago, Barry told Peter that every year the West throws a little Christmas party. A small event where they invite family and friends to come and hang out.
"Yeah, May says she'll be off that night, so we can make it," Peter confirmed.
"That's great." Barry was happy to hear.
"I do have one question." Peter couldn't believe he was about to (or that he was even able to) ask this question. "Can I bring a date?"
Barry couldn't help but smile at that as he turned back to Peter. "A date, huh?"
Peter groaned, knowing he was in for it now. "Yes. I wanna bring a date."
Barry kept that giant grin on his face as he stood up. "This anything to do with the infamous Mary Jane Watson?"
Peter sighed and raised his hands in surrender. "Forget it."
"I'm only joking around," Barry promises him. "You can invite your girlfriend."
"Thanks." Peter was happy to say, knowing he needed to ask MJ about it now he had the okay.
But Barry couldn't help but make one more comment as Peter made his way out. "After all, need to make sure she's okay for you to date!"
"Gah!" Peter cried in agony as he walked out.
Barry couldn't help but chuckle as this was something that he was looking forwards to now that they were back together. After this long of being apart, they would finally spend their first holiday together as a family.
After that encounter, Barry came rushing into STAR Labs with a grin on his face, singing jingle bells, and carrying presents. Walking into the cortex, he found Wells, Cisco, and Caitlin were there and turned to face him.
"Merry Christmas, guys," Barry called out and handed out presents to them. "Just a small token of my gratitude. For everything you've done for me this year."
"I think I speak on behalf of my colleagues when I say you've been a gift for us, Barry," Wells tells him with a genuine smile.
Barry then went into a bag and took out a red canister for them.
"What's that?" Caitlin asked, smiling at him.
"This is compliments of Iris." Barry beamed as he held it out. "Grandma Ester's famous eggnog."
"That's what I'm talking about," Cisco commented from his desk.
"Oh, and guys, Joe always has this Christmas Party at his house on Christmas Eve, and he lets Iris and me invite anyone we want. You guys wanna come?" Barry added, sending a pleading glance to all three of them.
Cisco and Caitlin nodded eagerly, and Caitlin felt a flutter of excitement in the pit of her stomach at the idea of her first Christmas with Barry. But Dr. Wells shook his head, his normal warm voice devoid of all feeling.
"I think I'll pass, Mr. Allen. But thank you for the offer." Wells says as he strolled off.
He wheeled out of the room and Barry turned to her with a concerted expression. "Did I say something wrong?"
Caitlin shook her head to assure him he wasn't to blame. "No."
"No, man." Cisco agreed. "This used to be his favorite time of year, but then the accident happened near the holidays. It's always hard for him at this time of year."
"I'm going to get him a present." Caitlin decided. "Maybe that'll cheer him up."
Cisco then grabbed the container with eggnog before he skipped off to his lab. Looking both ways, Barry quickly leaned down and pressed his lips to Caitlin's.
Since their relationship sort of recently just started, it was agreed they'd not let anyone know quite yet. They're just waiting to see how things went, and if things got serious, then they'd let people know.
Even though they have a feeling Peter and Bobby are most likely gonna find out soon. Not to mention Cisco might want in on the teasing and that's something that they couldn't handle.
"So, what about Peter? Is he gonna come to the party?" Caitlin was curious to know.
"Oh, he's coming. And he's bringing a date." Barry informed her, getting a curious look from Caitlin. "You'll see who soon." He then got a little curious. "You gonna bring Bobby?"
"Not like I'm gonna leave him alone," Caitlin replied with a shrug, feeling it'd be obvious. "Christmas used to be his favorite time of year, too." She then remembered what her expanded family did. "But then...his parents kicked him out for having powers, so he's been down. But luckily with Peter around, it makes things easier."
"Glad to hear," Barry said as Caitlin made her way out of the labs.
"Christmas. The holidays. Whatever religion, whatever way you celebrate during the time of year, it's a time for people to come together." The Watcher proclaimed as he eyed a familiar green demon flying through the air. "But the Green Goblin has other ways of defining get-together."
The Green Goblin flew over Iron Heights with a control panel that locked down the entire facility. In just two minutes, he had the whole place in panic as the guards were trapped.
"With the guards wrapped up all neat and tight, I come to recruit some men to help me in a fight," Goblin said in a rhyme for some reason. "I'm in a rhyming mood tonight."
Inside the prison, the more secured cells had just opened up and released the inmates. Those inmates happen to be a few of the many familiar faces. With the first breakout being a failed attempt, Johnathon was left behind for the breakout.
Those cells contained a few of the many faces being held. But with the new Man in Yellow asking him to keep Spider-Man busy, he was here to recruit the enemies he's faced to take him down.
Starting with the one who started it all, Max Dillon. The powerful Electro.
A non-powered character that took a building down on Spider-Man, Herman Schultz. The Shocker.
One of the few newest players who recently made an appearance. Otto Octavius. Doctor Octopus.
The few victims rather than criminals, Mark Allen. Molten Man.
One of the newest members of the prison, Flint Marko. Sandman.
And last but not least, Adrian Toomes. The Vulture.
"What's going on?" Flint asked, looking to see the other five inmates.
"Yeah, something's wrong," Mark commented, looking around to see no guards coming.
"The Goblin is your savior." The speakers called out, getting them to look up and face where it came from. "You owe him a favor. Spider-Man is still out making a basket. I say the rest of us put him in a casket."
"The Web Freak?" Adrian asked, already happy with the thought. "You are offering us payback?"
"Would I offer anyone in prison anything less?" Goblin asked them.
"And why would I ever do your dirty work?" Mark asked, pointing up at the camera Goblin was watching through.
"Oh, just to be perverse, I reactivated your curse," Goblin said, just watching as Mark transformed back into Molten Man, burning his prison suit off and leaving him in a fireproof outfit made especially for him.
Mark freaked out for a moment as he looked down at his body, turned back into its molten form. Jumping back and looking down at himself, he knew Goblin could also make this worse, to the point it's irreversible. He either brings Spider-Man's head in, or he'll be a living torch for the rest of his life.
Max then tried something, sending off a blast of electricity, and smiled when it worked. He was so happy to finally be out of the rubber room. He's been in there for months, looking for a way out. Now that he's out, he's ready for revenge.
Goblin then sent a case their way, which revealed to have Otto's arms, Herman's gauntlets, Adrian's wings, and a ticket out of the prison.
They were all free and were ready to get out there for a fight with Spider-Man.
Back with MJ and Peter, he had just arrived home to find her shooting hoops outside her home. How he managed to get her to go out with him, he will thank whatever god is out there.
"Hey, you up for a game of one on one?" MJ asked him, holding the ball out.
"Maybe later," Peter said, wanting to, but needed to get some things done. "I gotta get some stuff for tomorrow."
"What's tomorrow?" MJ asks him,
"My brother's adopted father is throwing a Christmas party, so I and May are gonna go," Peter explained to her.
"Oh, really?" MJ said with a grin. "And I have a feeling you're here to ask me something?"
Peter sighed and knew that sometimes it was creepy how she managed to read his mind. "Yeah, I was." He sighed and felt like he already knew her answer. "You wanna be my date?"
"Sure," MJ said as she tossed the ball, causing Peter to catch it on instinct. "As long as I can bring a plus one."
"A plus one?" Peter asked, surprised to hear that. "Anyone in particular?"
"That friend of mine I mentioned, the one I think would get along with your friend?" MJ reminded them of their talk a while ago. "She has no family in town, so I think it'd be nice for her to be around others."
"Sure, why not?" Peter guessed it would be okay, considering everyone else was gonna be bringing a plus one.
Then he saw several police cars speed past the street and headed downtown. Peter knew that this was definitely something that he needed to check out.
Peter looked at MJ with a sigh. "I..."
"Got to go." MJ finished him. "Go get 'em, Tiger."
Peter was about to get going when he stopped and turned back. "Why do you tend to call me that?"
"What? Tiger?" MJ asked with a smile. "Ask me again later, and I might tell."
Peter just shrugged, with no idea what to say about it, and knew he needed to go. "I'll hold you to that."
Then he finally took off, running away and trying to find a corner that he could change. As he ran off, MJ watched him with a smile, wondering if she would ever tell him she knows.
"Meh. I'll wait to let him tell me." MJ guessed with a sigh. "Just wonder when he will." But she didn't worry about that for too long as she went through her phone and called her friend. "Hey, C, you got any plans tomorrow night?"
Downtown, Electro was blasting every car and officer that came into his vicinity of him. Everyone around ran for cover and to get away as fast as they could. He sent one car flying, which was going to be smashed into the civilians when a web caught it with ease.
"Electro!" Peter cheered as he landed on a crushed car. "I knew we had a spark, but I didn't think you'd risk breaking out of prison just for me!"
"Looks like you haven't lost that mouth since I've been away," Max commented in annoyance. "Good. When I'm done, you'll be thankful to get out a whimper."
"You think I can't take you down alone?" Peter asked with a smile. "News flash, Buddy. I have a partner now." He then looked around and wondered where his brother was. After a few moments, he guessed that Barry wasn't coming and sighed. "I should've called him on the way."
Then his senses went off, getting Peter to look towards Electro who was just standing there and smiling. That smile was putting Peter off as he was wondering what he was up to.
But then a giant wave of lava came in, sending Peter flying into the wall and groaning. Seeing a piece of his suit was on fire, he shrieked and put it out. When he looked up, he saw that the Molten Man was the one who punched and burned his suit.
"Sorry, Spider-Man. Was I supposed to wait my turn?" Mark asked as his whole body was beginning to scorch with fire.
"What, you two formed an evil duo?" Peter asked them, eyeing them both. He then turned away and groaned. "I should've called Bobbie to help."
"A duo?" Max asked with a grin.
That's when Herman Schultz came out of the corner of the truck, revealing himself. "Miss me, bug?"
"A trio?" Peter was starting to get worried.
Then a swarm of sand came flying in, revealing to be Sandman who formed and looked over to Peter. Unlike his other fellow members of the team, he looked even more sorry for what he was about to do. Then he looked up to watch as Vulture was flying over, and Otto Octavius came around a building and landed with their friends.
Peter was left with a look of worry as he saw that there were now six of his greatest (and only) enemies have all teamed up. They have come together to form a crew to come together and take their greatest enemy down.
"Now, arachnid. Do you have any last words?" Otto asked him with a grin.
"Hamina, Hamina, Hamina comes to mind." Peter muttered in worry.
The Watcher was watching the whole ordeal and looked to the hero. "Couldn't have said it better myself."
