Nightwing Josh - I swear on my right hand, I did NOT write that! The copy I have doesn't even say that. I recently re-uploaded the chapter, so those mistakes should be gone. But they shouldn't have been there to begin with.

Barry Allen stood at the opening of the particle accelerator, ready to fix things. The League warned him not to do this. He promised he wouldn't do this.
But three months later, that day still haunts him.
He failed his brother but wouldn't let it happen again.
"I must advice against this, Barry Allen," Gideon warned Barry as he was getting ready to run back. "You know that-"
"I know that I failed to save my brother, and I plan to make it right." Barry declared, spending three months considering what to do.
Barry went into his stance and got ready to run. He then sped off around the cortex like he had learned to do many years ago. He however became so fast that he managed to open a portal in seconds.
When he reached the timestream, he was able to see all of the moments in history. More specifically in his history. But he didn't need to go far until he found the point in history he was looking for.
Exiting the timestream, he shot out exactly three months ago on the exact same night. Looking around, he noticed he was at the crime scene that he was wrapping up. Just a few random muggers with guns, nothing that he couldn't deal with.
"What do you say we call it a night, man?" Peter asked his brother while yawning and getting up. "I gotta get home to Liz. And something tells me Iris is waiting for you."
Barry flinched at hearing his brother's voice for the first time in three months. "Uh...ye-yeah." He then remembered what happened and quickly reacted. "Wait, hang on, I'll stop by and get you there faster."
"Uh...sure, why not?" Peter guessed and got ready to go.
Barry sighed and knew he had a second chance at this and wouldn't screw this up. He sped off down the streets and came across Peter walking out of the labs. Not able to hold himself back, he ran over to Peter and pulled him into a hug.
"Whoa, Bare. What's up with you?" Peter asked, confused by his brother's behavior.
"What, does a brother need a reason to hug his brother?" Barry asked as he separated from him.
"Usually." Peter shrugged and threw his bag over his shoulder. "Now, come on. I wanna get home to get Maybelle to bed."
Barry nodded, wanting Peter to get home safely this time. "Yeah, I'm on it."
The two then sped off down the street, Barry holding Peter by the back and neck, so he didn't get injured. They had managed to make it to his home with no problems, which surprised Barry as he expected that Thawne might try again.
"You expecting someone?" Peter asks him, walking up to the house.
"No, just thought I saw something," Barry explains and saw things were going okay. "See you tomorrow."
"See ya," Peter said as Barry sped off, staying around to make sure Peter made it inside. "Liz?" He called as he opened the door and made his way inside. "You still up?"
"I'm up here, Petey," Liz called from upstairs, getting Peter's attention as he made his way up. "Just putting her down for bed."
Peter walked into his daughter's bedroom and saw Liz with a dozing-off baby in her arms. Peter walked over and caressed the baby's head, happy to have made it just as she fell asleep. They then placed the little girl inside of the crib, they started to watch her drift off.
When Maybelle went to sleep, Liz gave Peter a peck on the cheek and walked out of the room. "I'm gonna get ready for bed."
"Okay, I'll join you in a moment," Peter promised as she made her way out.
As Peter looked down at his little girl, he smiled and just watched her sleep. Suddenly there was a gust of wind and Peter froze in fear. The Man in Yellow stood behind Peter, his eyes glowing and face vibrating without Peter even turning to look.
"Please," Peter begged of him, not wanting to do this now. "Not in front of her."
"I'd you didn't want her to see...you should have stuck around in the parking lot," Thawne said as he then punched a vibrating fist into Peter's chest. He then ended up gasping in shock and for air when his heart was found in front of his face.
Maybelle cried out when she heard her father gasp out for air. Thawne then sped off, allowing Peter to drop to the floor and died on the floor of his daughter's room.
Liz had just changed for bed, looking forward to a quiet night when she heard Maybelle. Running into the room, she was shocked to see Peter on the ground.
Dead.
Crying out in terror, she was questioning what happened as she took her daughter and ran off.

The Watcher eyed the heroes as it took Barry a bit of time to flash everyone back to STAR Labs, but eventually, they were all coming out of the elevator.
"Ronnie Raymond!" Cisco grinned, approaching them.
"Cisco!" Ronnie clapped his hand and grabbed him in a hug.
Cisco's smile was so large, that it nearly covered the entire bottom half of his face. "I missed you so much, man." Ronnie pulled back and beamed at him. "I shouldn't have locked you in there."
"Hey." Ronnie nudged his shoulder. "Don't."
Harrison rolled up, smiling brightly. "Welcome back, Mr. Raymond."
"Dr. Wells." Ronnie inclined his head respectfully. "They had told me what happened to you. I'm so sorry."
Wells cut him off. "I am responsible for me being in this chair, you are responsible for me still being alive. So, thank you."
Caitlin ran over to them and looked at Ronnie and quickly made her way through them. "Ronnie."
"Cait," Ronnie said in relief as the two embraced.
Ronnie seemed to have tried to go in for a kiss, but Caitlin stopped him halfway through. She just went for a friendly hug as she doesn't know anymore where their relationship stands.
"Excuse me." Stein interrupted the sweet moment. "Are we all planning to sing Kumbaya, next? Or do you have somewhere I can freshen up and get a change of clothes?"
"Of course." Cisco and Wells led Stein into the hallway, and Ronnie leaned against the wall, watching them go with a fond smile.
As the three of them left, they managed to leave Ronnie, Barry, Bobby, Caitlin, and Peter alone in the halls with Bobby.
The ex-dead fiancé, the new boyfriend, the girl, and two teenage superheroes are left in the same room.
It's like the start of a bad joke.
With them as the punchline.
"So... I'm gone," Peter said as he gestured to the elevator. "I'm gonna go meet up with dad. Feels like it's been a while since I saw him."
"Don't leave me." Bobby pleaded as Peter walked into the elevator. "Get back here, coward."
"Rather be a coward than in this awkward situation," Peter said as he leaned on the wall as the doors closed.
Ronnie then looked at Bobby and felt like he knew him. "Have we met before?"
"No, I'm Bobby Drake. Caitlin's cousin." Bobby introduced himself to the ex-hothead. "Also known as the guy whose skin can turn to ice."
"Wait, you're that ice kid?" Ronnie was amazed to hear.
"Iceman," Bobby muttered to himself before walking to get somewhere less awkward.
"Well, how about I run some tests on you to make sure everything's okay?" Caitlin said as she gestured for Ronnie to follow her.
"Sure," Ronnie said as he walked ahead, knowing where her labs are.
Caitlin then looked to Barry, not entirely sure what they were going to do right now with Ronnie alive. But right now, she wasn't going to just end her relationship with Barry after she already moved on.
"Hey, I'm not breaking up with you," Caitlin promised Barry as she pecked his cheek. "We'll figure out what we're going to do."
"I'm fine," Barry promised as he pecked her lips. "Go check on your patient."
"Okay." Caitlin was happy that things between them were good right now.
"Been a while since I've seen you," Henry commented on Peter's appearance back in their normal spot behind the glass and phones.
"Your fault for being stabbed," Peter commented jokingly.
Henry chuckled and saw that was a good point. "Fair. So, how's it going with your girlfriend?"
"Mary Jane? Things are going perfectly well." Peter admitted, a smile growing. "But...she's starting up a dangerous habit."
"What habit is that? Smoking?" Henry asked.
"No, more of...looking into dangerous people. She's trying to unmask the Green Goblin." Peter explained to his dad. "I'm not sure it's a good idea."
"Well...that's something I didn't expect," Henry muttered with a chuckle. "Dating has certainly changed since my time."
Peter then rolled his eyes and smiled. "You know, I could see about bringing her by?"
"She doesn't know about this?" Henry asked in surprise.
"No, she knows," Peter admitted. "She knows you were put in here for a crime you didn't commit."
"And how did she take it?" Henry wondered.
"If you knew her backstory, you'd understand why she actually managed to take it pretty well," Peter promises.
Later Barry comes back with the news that he got from Joe about how the Flash was at his home the night his mother was killed.
"Time travel." Wells breathes out in amazement.
"If the last five months has proven anything, it's that anything can exist, but to actually travel through time?" Barry questions.
"Well, the greatest minds in human history put their collective genius towards solving that puzzle," Wells states, regarding the possibility.
"So, is it possible?" Joe asks Wells.
"Yes, it's possible," Wells replies and they're surprised. "But problematic. Assuming you could create the conditions necessary to take the journey, that journey would then be met with thousands of pitfalls. The Novikov principle of self-consistency, for example."
Joe didn't even understand half of that and sighed. "What?"
"If you travel back in time to change something, then you could end up being the casual factor of that event." Barry tries explaining and it doesn't help.
"Like... Terminator," Cisco explains easily and he understands.
"Or is time plastic? Is it mutable whereby any changes to the continuum could create an alternate timeline?" Wells explains another possible theory and once again Joe is confused.
"Back to the Future." Cisco replies and Joe gets it.
"Oh, saw that one too," Joe replies.
"Tremendous picture." Wells comments on the movie.
"So, what's the answer?" Joe asks.
"I might be a clever guy, Joe, but if you're asking for a working theory on how to travel through time, I'm afraid I just can't do that," Wells explains but Cisco interjects.
"There is someone who might," Cisco says, knowing that they knew someone who wrote several papers on time travel.
Back with Peter, he was just having a good time swinging through the night of Central City. He was just making his way back home, missing the fact that he was being tailed.
Usually, he would have no problem losing a tail, but he usually knew who or where the tail was coming from. But it seems that every time that he turned around nothing was coming. Nothing was coming meaning that there wasn't anything coming for him.
Peter then made it to the alley in between his and MJ's place. Once there, he grabbed the bag with his change of clothes and put it on over his suit. When he walked out and made his way inside, he missed the Green Goblin flying down and noticing the address.
"Now we know where you live," Goblin said as he uses a camera to fly down and watched Peter interacting with May. "And it seems like we have found your heart..."
Then Peter got a phone call from STAR Labs, Caitlin telling him how Ronnie and his brother were attacked by the army. Quickly telling May he needed to go back out, he made his way out and the Goblin used the device to teleport away again.
Barry looked like a porcupine.
It would have been funny if he hadn't been in so much pain.
Caitlin and Ronnie had just gone to Jitters to talk and had confirmed to break things off. When they were talking about it when the entire place was shot up.
"It's like that time I stepped on a sea urchin." Cisco mused just when Barry sent him a look. "Except much worse."
"Just don't pee on me." Barry groaned.
"You know that's a myth, right?" Peter said as he walked in and saw them around Barry. "How the heck did this happen?"
"Seems that General Eiling has been coming up with ways to combat the heroes of this city," Wells says as he strolled around the room.
Caitlin ripped another barb out and Barry ended up screaming. She bit her lip to keep it from trembling and rested her fingers lightly on his forearm.
"I'm so stupid. Jason Rush, that grad student who was helping Professor Stein do research, told me that he felt like he was being watched all the time." Caitlin sighed, wondering why she didn't see it coming. "I should have known it was Eiling watching him!"
"If that's true, shouldn't we get Stein?" Bobby asked them. "Isn't he in danger?"
"I think he's fine," Ronnie said, looking to the door.
"How do you know?" Cisco asks.
Ronnie then gestured to the door where they saw Stein. "Seems that I and Ronald aren't as separated as we would have hoped."
"Caitlin, I'll take a look at this, you finish up with Barry," Wells tells them, taking Stein and Ronnie to take a look at it with Cisco following.
Peter and Bobby also walked away to not be left alone with their relatives. Caitlin rubbed her forehead and yanked out another spike.
Barry gritted his teeth and shut his eyes hard.
By the time they were all out, the rest of the team had left, and Barry was reduced to a quivering, whimpering mess. Caitlin carefully placed the tin of barbs in a desk drawer and sat down on a chair to stay next to him.
"I'm sorry that hurt so much." Caitlin apologized.
"I hate Eiling..." Barry winced as he shifted around so he could lean over and kiss her hand. "Thank you for not letting me heal while I still had spikes in my body."
"I wouldn't be much of a good girlfriend if I let that happen, now would I?" Caitlin asked with a smile.
"So... while on the subject-" Barry was going to get into it when Caitlin beat him to it.
"Me and Ronnie broke things off for good," Caitlin promises. "He knew that those people chasing after him wouldn't give up, just to confirm it was Eiling."
"Okay." Barry supposed was a good answer.
By the time Barry finished healing, they had run their tests on Ronnie and Stein and were amazed at what they were seeing.
"I'm still inside Ronald," Stein states as he was looking at his and Ronnie's brain activity.
"There has to be a better way of phrasing that," Peter comments as he looked at Bobby. "You heard that, too, right?"
"Yep," Bobby confirmed.
"Beta, alpha, theta, delta, all your brain waves are perfectly in sync," Caitlin explains to Stein and Ronnie. "The chances of that happening are next to impossible."
"Impossible is just another Tuesday for us, right?" Barry asks them.
"Yeah, but this is like some Twilight Zone-level stuff," Cisco commented on the story. "And I say that knowing we have a guy in our basement who can turn into poisonous gas.
"You serious?" Ronnie asked Cisco.
"When did this happen?" Peter asks, feeling he missed something.
"Man, that was, like, week three," Cisco explains to them.
"Look, if this Eiling is as dangerous as you say, then I need to warn Clarissa," Stein states getting ready to leave when they stop him.
"Hey, I can get Clarissa if something happens," Barry promised him. "Right now, you need to stay here."
"Very well." Stein sighed and walked off.
Everyone else then left and Ronnie and Barry were left alone.
"You doing okay, man?" Barry asks him.
"Yeah, it's just not the STAR Labs I knew," Ronnie says as he didn't remember it being like this.
"Ronnie, this isn't the world you once knew." Barry was sorry to break into him.
"So... Caitlin told me what happened." Ronnie knew that conversation needed to happen sooner or later. "I'm not upset if you're wondering. As far as she knew, I was dead. I'm happy she found someone to look out for her."
"And I'll keep doing so," Barry promised him.
"Good." That was all Ronnie asked of him.
Seeing they needed to hide Ronnie somewhere that they wouldn't think to look. That led to the only man that has no connection to Caitlin unless you looked deep into it.
Peter and May offered up their place for him to stay, which was a bit awkward for Peter as he's now sharing a roof with the ex of his brother's girlfriend.
"So, the bedroom upstairs second to the right is the guest room," Peter tells Ronnie as they made it home.
"Peter," MJ called out, shocking Peter as he didn't expect her to be there.
"MJ," Peter said in surprise, thinking to know if they had any plans. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, I was just stopping by," MJ assured him. "Wanted to have a girl talk with your aunt." She then looked and noticed Ronnie. "And... who's this?"
"This is..." Peter looked at Ronnie and tried to come up with a plausible explanation. Yeah, he had nothing. "My...cousin. Parker family cousin."
"Hi." Ronnie greeted MJ.
"Hey," MJ said and saw she needed to go. "Well, I need to go." She leaned over and pecked his cheek. "See you later."
"Bye," Peter said as MJ left.
"That your girlfriend?" Ronnie asked.
"Yeah," Peter confirmed.
May then walked in and saw the two of them. "Hey, you must be Ronnie."
"Yeah, hi," Ronnie said and shook her hand.
Peter then got a text on his phone and saw that Barry wanted to see him. "Uh, I'll let you take it from here, May. I need to go."
"No problem. Go." May assured him and allowed Peter to leave.
When Peter left and made it to where Barry wanted to meet him, they were in the suburbs just a few blocks from his place. He saw Barry standing outside of a particular house that looked familiar to him.
"Peter," Barry called Peter over to his side. "Glad you're here."
"Yeah, where is here?" Peter asks, looking over the place.
"Come with me," Barry says as he brought Peter inside the home.
Taking a look around, Peter felt like he had some sort of connection to this place. "I feel...like I should know this place."
"This is where we grew up," Barry explains to him.
Peter was shocked as he looked around and wondered why they were there. "What are we doing here?'
"Here," Barry said as he walked over and activated the machine Joe showed him earlier.
Peter was shocked when he was shown the two speedsters running around the room with a screaming Nora in the middle of it all.
"Mom?" Peter was shocked to see his mother in a three-dimensional form.
"Those speedsters?" Barry gestured to the two of them. "Joe said that one of them is the Reverse Flash and one of them...is the Flash."
"You?" Peter asked in shock to hear that Barry was here. "But..."
"Yeah, one day, I'm going to travel back to this night..." Barry was sorry to say this and looked down at his mom. "And I failed to save her."
"That's...uplifting," Peter commented sarcastically.
"But that also means that I might have a second chance," Barry explained to his brother. "One day, I'm gonna be back here...and I won't fail."
"You're gonna...save her?" Peter clarified.
"I won't fail a second time," Barry promises.
ORIGINAL TIMELINE:
2035
Barry slammed his fists against the STAR Labs table as he looked at his brother. Peter had been murdered yet again, but this time it was by General Zod, who was broken out of the Phantom Zone by Thawne and came for vengeance.
"I have to try again," Barry growled in anger.
"Need I remind you, Barry Allen, you've already attempted to change this moment 219,341 times." Gideon reminded Barry how many times he tried to save his brother. "Anymore repeats, and you risk rupturing the timeline to obscurity."
"I just need to be faster." Barry started to be driven insane by the idea.
"What you require, Barry Allen is to find another point in time to change." Gideon brought an interesting idea to Barry's head. "You must find one moment that doesn't allow Peter Allen to die."
CURRENT TIMELINE:

"Eiling abducted Stein?" Peter asked in shock.
They had all gotten a distress call from Wells, and they all arrived back at STAR Labs to learn Stein was taken. Eiling came in and hit Stein with a tranq dart before basically kidnapping him.
According to Wells.
"He didn't hurt you?" Barry asked Wells.
"Only my pride was hurt," Wells assured them.
"We need to find where they took him," Barry stated.
"Easy there." Wells calmed him down. "Eiling has already demonstrated he has the weaponry to fight you. We don't know if he even invented something to go against Spider-Man or Iceman."
"Well, we can't let him turn Stein into a weapon," Caitlin stated.
"How do we find him?" Ronnie asked, earning the whole room to look toward him. All of them seemingly get the same idea.
Ronnie and Stein's connection to one another managed to get them a location to where he is. He was being held at an offsite military base that was a shut-down facility.
Barry and Ronnie needed to go, knowing that he needed to get back to Stein to save him. Peter and Bobby were ready to go, wanting to help in any way that they could.
"Come back," Caitlin said as she locked eyes with Barry. "All of you."
Barry nodded, seeing this is the only chance he had, and quickly kissed her to assure her. Ronnie wasn't as jealous as he thought he would be when he watched and was happy Caitlin moved on. Cisco and Wells were a bit surprised.
Before anyone had time to ask questions, Barry sped off with the three of them.
ORIGINAL TIMELINE:
2036
The Flash and Reverse Flash were both currently tearing through the streets of Central City using all of their speed to fight off one another. This was going to be their final confrontation.
Barry was now going to get vengeance on the Reverse Flash for killing his brother.
The best way that he knew how.
Take away everything from him.
Reverse Flash had the best plan that he could have come up with. Go back in time to when Barry Allen was a child, kill him then and there. But Barry already knew what the plan was, and he had come up with a plan of his own.
The two ran down the streets, ripping a hole in the space-time continuum and escaping into a time vortex.
CURRENT TIMELINE:
2015
The four ended up right outside of the facility and noticed a lot of soldiers and trucks.
"Yeah, this isn't the least suspicious at all," Peter commented.
"A lot of guards for a demolished facility." Bobby agreed.
"Stein's inside," Ronnie told them. "I feel the pull inside me."
"It is as I feared, the two of you are longing to be whole again. If you two merge, then we might not be able to separate you again." Wells gives them the warning.
"Got it. Keep the two of them from touching." Peter said when he realized what he said. "I could have worded that differently."
"Yeah, you could have." Barry agreed.
Ronnie then grunted, feeling something against his skull. "Eiling has a gun to Stein's head. He's about to pull the trigger!"
Barry then sped off, looking around the facility before returning seconds later with Stein. "Never thought I'd be happy to see you."
"Likewise." Ronnie agreed.
"That was a bit anticlimactic," Bobby commented.
"Let's just get the heck out of here," Barry said just when Peter's senses went off.
"Oh, god," Peter said when they saw a jet come flying in.
"Really?" Bobby asked with a sigh.
The jet then sent a missile towards them, but luckily Barry has already had some practice with catching missiles. Running up to the missile, he was going to grab it and toss it back at the jet. But the second that he touched the missile, it exploded and released some sort of chemical that started to burn through his suit.
He then ran off and started to run in a circle, courtesy of some advice from Wells and Cisco.
Several armed soldiers then came out and started to shoot at the remaining four. Bobby worked fast and slammed his fist against the floor, causing ice to spread and make them slip. However, their victory was short-lived when a tank came rolling in and started firing explosives on them.
Bobby quickly shot a blast of mist that grew out of the ground and rose to then shield them from the explosive. But the explosion then made an impact on the ice and sent shards of it flying everywhere.
Peter got hit by one of the shards, but he managed to catch it before it had the chance to hurt him. "What the heck was that?!"
"Sorry, I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on people from media using ice powers." Bobby apologized and explained it to him.
"I'm sorry to have asked," Peter muttered and saw the soldiers and tank coming back. "I'll hold off those men, you get that tank!"
Bobby watched Peter leap into action and tackle one of the soldiers. "How am I supposed to fight a tank!?"
"Figure...it...out!" Peter cried as he was currently fighting off the soldiers by using his hands to leap off the ground and kick one in the face. "I'm busy!"
Bobby then got an idea as he raced at the tank, shooting ice in front of him to start to slide towards it. When he got close enough, he took a page out of the Incredibles, shooting his ice at the center of the tank to stop it from being able to spin.
While they were dealing with them, Ronnie and Stein noticed more soldiers coming for them. They tried to escape, but then they started to become surrounded
"We need to merge," Ronnie saw was the only way they'd survive this encounter.
"I thought we were supposed to avoid that!" Bobby cried as he was still shooting the rest of the tank.
"He's right, the last time the two of you fought. The key is acceptance." Wells explains to the two of them.
"Whatever we're doing, can we hurry it up!?" Peter asked as he did a backspin and tripped another soldier.
The merge went as well as they could have hoped, and FIRESTORM managed to lay waste to the soldiers before going for Eiling. He exited the facility and was met with FIRESTORM head-on.
"Eiling, this ends now." FIRESTORM told him.
"Yes, it does. For both of you." Eiling said as he tossed a grenade in the air.
But before the grenade could go off, the device was blasted by a mist of ice and sent flying. Eiling looked in the direction of where the blast came from but was met with a punch to the face by Peter.
"Whoo." Peter sighed as he rubbed his wrist. "That felt good."
Barry then sped over to them, showing his entire scorched suit to them, and even half of his mask was destroyed.
"That...was a lot of running." Barry sighed in relief.
"What do you say we get you into some actual clothes?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, let's get out of here." Barry agreed.
Barry sped off with Bobby and Peter while FIRESTORM bursts into flames and flew through the air.
When they returned to the labs, Barry lifted his shirt and tried to calm her worried look. He has a scorch mark that looked like he was burned.
"I think it looks worse than it is," Barry assured her.
She raised her eyebrows slightly and kissed the back of his neck, the only part she could reach and still hold up his shirt. "You took a risk. But thank you for saving Ronnie."
"Anytime," Barry assured her.
"What, we get no recognition?" Bobby asked.
"You froze the ground." Peter recapped what Bobby did.
"And I stopped those soldiers in the process." Bobby defended.
FIRESTORM walked into the room, and Caitlin felt her throat close up. "Ronnie or Stein or-"
"It's me, Cait." FIRESTORM blinks for a moment. "It's both of us, somehow."
"Acceptance is a powerful thing," Wells commented from his chair.
"Powerful enough to reverse it?" Barry asked.
Caitlin could tell that he felt like it was his fault they had had to merge again- even though it really wasn't.
The two of them were then engulfed in flames as everyone stepped away. The two of them finally separated and revealed that it had worked this time. Caitlin was happy and walked over to give him a friendly hug. Just because they broke things off doesn't mean she can't care for him.
"It's ok, Ronnie. I understand. You have to go." Caitlin told her ex.
"How'd you know?" Ronnie wondered.
"I'm connected to you too." Caitlin smiled.
GOVERNMENT FACILITY:
A woman made her way through what looked like a corporate office and walked into the main office where her boss was. He was currently looking out of the window when the woman walked in, and he wonders what she needs.
She placed a stack of papers on the desk and gestured for him to look at them. They were a bunch of websites on the Richard and Mary Parker.
The boss then turned around and revealed his face to her.
He was a black male with a black mustache and is bald completely. He wears a black shirt with a black coat and wears an eyepatch on his left eye.
Nicolas J. Fury.
"And why should I worry about this, Agent Hill?" Fury asks her.
Agent Maria Hill.
Maria is a fairly tall woman with a slender yet muscular and well-endowed body, short brown hair, pale skin, and brown eyes. She typically wears a standard issue S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate) uniform, consisting of a full-length black body suit with knee-length black boots and white gloves, alongside a gun holster strapped to her left leg.
"Because the person looking into them is their son," Maria explained and dropped a report of him down.
Fury then looked at the report on their son and was surprised. "Didn't they die ten years ago?"
"I called Mary in for one more mission. Richard retired from us years ago." Maria reported in. "She never reported back what she discovered."
"If this kid keeps poking his nose where it doesn't belong, he could start attracting unwanted attention." Fury commented, feeling he should do something. "I think we should keep our eyes on the kid. But right now...send some people to Greenland. There's something we need to take a look at."
Fury then opened his laptop and showed the home screen had a similar mechanical-looking eagle to the one on Mary's watch.
Back at the ice that exploded, the heroes managed to miss someone else who was there in the frozen waters. He was wearing a suit that showed the colors of the American flag: red, white, and blue.
His cowl features holes for his eyes and opens up for the bottom part of his face. On his forehead is a large A, with two wings on the sides of his mask. He wears lightweight, bulletproof scale armor made of duralumin, a star on his chest, and red and white stripes on his stomach.
The blue scales stop on his upper arms, with the rest being covered by white sleeves and red gloves. He wears blue pants and red boots.
But it wasn't just that which was causing them to become shocked. It was the accessory.
A shield.
A circular shield of red, white, and blue with a white star at its center.
Captain America.
The explosion not only left an impact around him, and they managed to thaw the ice to the point that he managed to smash his way out. Crawling out of the ice, Steve Rogers finally reached the surface with his shield still attached to his arm.
"Where...?" Steve started to pant and look around. "Where am I?"
But before he could question it for too long, several S.H.I.E.L.D. jets came flying in to greet the missing hero.
