Chapter sixteen – Training by range
When at the area Link then says in instructor tone "Since I have an idea how the both of you fight in close range which I will get back to eventually, however one thing you both absolutely need to learn is to use is a bow. The reason being is that not all foes will want to engage with you in close range and will try to hurt to even kill you from a distance. You will need to learn to use a bow when a foe is just shooting from a distance and a moving target on the ground or in the air. I have targets set up to at least practice. So have either of you have used a bow before?". Miles than responds "I have used a bow, but only a few times in my life to hit a target. Where we come from archery is a sport that uses a bow that I only did every two years. I am most likely rusty so a refresher would not hurt me.". Link nods and says "Thank you for the information, Miles. How about you Cream?". Cream than answers "I have not ever used a bow in my life Link. I know I always wanted to.". Link says "That is alright Cream. Now that I know where both of you stand let's get started.". Link that pulled out three traveler's bows that he feels is a good training bow. Link does demonstration first pulls out an arrow to take aim for a second and fires at the not moving target than at the does another shot at the moving one. Both shots make a perfect bull's-eye on the targets. Miles, Cream and Cheese eyes widen in absolute shock and amazed how skilled Link is. Miles says "That is amazing Link! You not only fired two shots fast but also hit in the center of both targets!" Cream says, "Miles is right on both counts, and you make it look so easy!" Link says, "It just comes to me like I have done it before like how I can use a sword and ride a horse.". At the mention of horse Cream froze stiff and was starting to turn very pale while her brain was flashing back to what happened a year ago to Miles. Miles saw this immediately and thought to himself (Oh No Cream! I need to snap her out of this fast.). Miles than says "Cream! Cream! It is ok! Please look at me! I am right here!". Miles kisses her helping Cream come back to her senses. Cream regained color and broke down sobbing while on her hands and knee saying "I'm so so sorry Miles! Why can't I get over this?! What would happen if you were not around to snap me out of this?! It is just not fair to everyone?!' Cream starts pounding the ground say repeatedly "it is not fair! It is not fair! It is not fair!". Miles kneels and hugs Cream which hugs him back just as tightly still sobbing. Link and Cheese felt very bad for Cream. Link felt very guilty for having Cream go through what just happened. Link says "Cream I am so sorry about causing you to relive that memory! Miles told me what happened, and it hit me that you were not over the trauma.". Cheese says sadly "Chao. Chao.". Miles says to Cream "Cream it has only been a year since what happened and getting over a traumatic experience will not be easy. It was also a reminder what happened to me. Cream what you don't know is when I woke up in the hospital bed, I saw the most wonderful sight like I saw an angel with the most wonderful genuine smile and that is you Cream. It is why you are a rabbit angel to me. I knew that day you are the one for me!" Cream looks at Miles saying "Really? You saw me as angel when you woke up?!' Miles nods with a smile and says, 'I did back then, and I still do today Cream!". Miles than gives Cream a tender kiss which Cream returns with a passion. After they both pulled away Cream says with a smile "Thank you Miles! That is the most wonderful thing you said to me! You will help me get over this?" Miles says, "I will through every step of the way Cream.". Cream stands off the ground, walks up to Link to hug him and says to him "I don't blame you for saying that Link! I appreciate your concern!". Link hugs Cream back while Miles and Cheese smiles at the scene then join in on the hug to make a group hug. Miles says to Cream "Want to walk when we start moving instead of riding over?" Cream thought about it and said "I want to try Miles! Not only because I want to get over this which is long overdue, but it will make traveling Hyrule easier!" Miles says, "Are you sure Cream?". Cream says with determination "I am Miles! You have faced it to find me which inspired me to want to try!". Miles smiles and says "I am proud of you Cream! You are amazing for wanting to try!". Link through to himself (First Miles and now Cream! That love they have for each other makes them want to try to face the most difficult challenges! They both deserve the appreciation for being inspirational!). Link smiles and says "Miles and Cream you both are very inspirational. You both truly bring out the best in everyone! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" Miles and Cream says "Thanks Link! It means a lot coming from you!" Cheese goes up to Cream and say 'Chao? Chao / Cream? Are you ok?" Cream responds, "I am good now Cheese Thank you!". Cream and Cheese share a hug. Link than asks "Ready to work on using a bow Miles and Cream?". Miles and Cream responds with "Yes, we are Link!". Link says, "Let's see what you both got.".
Miles decides to go first, and he takes his stance for using a bow during the Olympic Games. Miles is thinking to himself (Let's see if I still got it after over a year of not using a bow.). Miles takes aim for a second and takes his shot which hits the center of the first target as a result. He takes aim for a second shot to hit the moving one right away and fires no longer than a second which hits the center again. Miles takes a few steps back to take another shot at the first target and managed to hit the center again. Miles decided to challenge himself even more by taking more steps back to hit the moving target from a long distance. The distance is so large that he was on the upper area of the village that is close to the entrance. Everyone in the village was watching as a result. Miles takes aim for a second and fires which results in hitting the center. The Cream and Cheese were amazed, and Link was just downright floored with what he just saw. The villagers have never seen such skill and distance shooting like that. Miles made his way back to where the other are. Cream says "That was amazing Miles! Even after not using a bow for over a year you still got it!" Cheese says "Chao! Chao! / Miles! You are amazing with your shots!". Cream translates "Cheese says you are amazing with your shots Miles!". Miles says, "Thank you Cream and Cheese!". Link than says "For someone rusty sure made those shots like a pro! That long distance shot you made was something incredible Miles! You have proven to know how to use a bow without a doubt!". Miles with a smile says "Thank you very much Link! It means a lot coming from you since you are just as amazing if not more so!". Link and Miles share a hug for a second. Link turns to Cream and asks, "Do you want to try Cream?". Cream says without hesitation "Yes, I want to try even if it takes forever to be as good as you and Miles!". Miles says to Cream 'Cream I know you can do it because I believe and have faith in you.". Cream smiles from Miles' encouragement and says "Thank you Miles! I will give it my all!".
Cream than grabs a bow to take her turn. She takes a deep breath and takes aim with an arrow ready. Link, Miles, and Cream are all watching. Cream fires a shot that hits the outer ring of the target. She takes aim with another arrow while adjusting the aim and fires a second shot which hits the inner ring. She takes aim with another arrow while adjusting once more and fires her third shot which hits the very center. Cream very satisfied moves on to the target that is moving back and forth. She very careful looks at the movement to try to plan her shot. Cream takes aim with an arrow and fires which lands on the line between the center and the inner ring. She takes aims with another arrow and fires which hits the center area. She than takes aim for no longer than a second fires her third shot which hits the very center of the target. Cream smiles to herself and says, "I did it! I actually did it!". Cheese was very happy for Cream being able to do it. Miles who saw the entire thing was amazed how fast Cream learned to use a bow with arrows. Link is also very impressed with how fast Cream learned how to use a bow for her first time with one. Cheese came up to Cream saying 'Chao! Chao! Chao! / Cream! That is so amazing! You learned how to use a bow so fast! You rock!". Cream says, "Thank you very much Cheese for the praise.". Miles came up to Cream next to hug and kiss her with passion to than say "That was amazing Cream! I knew you can do it! You should free proud of yourself see how far you have come! I love you so much my rabbit angel!". Cream says as she hugs back "Thank you Miles for believing in me! I love you too my kind, caring and brave genius fox!". Link approaches Cream and say "I have to say you really are a fast learner Cream. Keep that up and you will even be better than me in no time.". Cream lets go of Miles and hugs Link saying "Thank you Link. I will keep practice to improve myself.". Link smiles and hugs Cream back saying "That is all I ask Cream.". Miles along Cheese join in to make a group hug where they stayed in for a while until a traveler who is named Botrick(who looks like Satoru Iwata in BOTW) came running through the entrance into the village that was shouting "Help! Danger Coming!".
Will Cream every get over her trauma, what does Botrick mean by danger coming and finally will Miles, Cream, Cheese and Link be able to face it?

Yeah, my first ever cliffhanger chapter and I have to say I truly understand why authors do them. I wanted to do a call back to the Mario and Sonic Olympic video games that Miles always was in when they did archery as an event. At the time of putting this up I have seen the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film and I loved it. I might use something from the film in the future, but I will keep you guessing in the meantime. One last chapter is left which is the last thing I wrote on my phone's note as of December 2021 which I still need to write more on. I did get more ideas for my story and as a heads up I may take some liberties during the game. Next chapter I will introduce a character which I am excited for very much to introduce. I had to give a shout out to Botrick who is in Breath of the Wild as a tribute most likely to the late Satoru Iwata of Nintendo. He is one of the individuals that I have great respect for, and it is almost seven years since his passing. Those who ready all I wrote so far thank you.
