Lights, Camera, Destruction!
One night at the D-Lab, Dr Owen, Rex's adoptive father gave the D-Team a call to update them about his time in Los Angeles at a big time movie studio there. Upon appearing on screen, he instantly got into his trademark best bro routine with Dr Taylor, "Ha ha ha ha! Dug up anything new?" He snickered at Spike while giving him a pair of thumbs up.
Spike in turn snickered before doing the same, "Just a funny bone!" He joked before they did their dance skit.
"What makes dinosaurs extinct? Not taking a bath, we think! Yeah!" They sang while the D Team's dinosaurs danced to the beat in the background, even Miku joined them too as she flapped out her arms and squawked with amusement.
Cera looked at them and sweat dropped at their bizarre behaviour, "Ehehe…they're adults still act like a bunch of children…." She commented, though it just shows how close they were as friends and passionate about their shared line of work, though she wondered whether Max, Rex and Zoe may keep some of their childish antics now into the future when they grow older….that'd be funny to see indeed.
While that happened, the rest of the D-Team were conversing about Dr. Owen's current line of work, "Rex! Your dad is where?" Max asked, still having a hard time believing what he heard Rex told him, as Cera's interest was perked and she joined them.
"Oh, he's in Hollywood as an advisor on some dinosaur movie they're shooting." Rex said as he looked at the magazine he was given that promoted the movie.
"That's so cool!" Max exclaimed as he snatched the magazine and started to look it over while Cera peaked over his shoulder.
"And guess what else, it's from that really famous directory Stanley Spinoberg!" Zoe blush excitedly as she read over the article they were focused on.
Cera blinked her eyes hearing his name, "Huh? Isn't that-"
"No way! I love his movies! I betcha I've seen all of them!" Max interrupted in excitement, "First one! Illinois Jones! And then there was E.C. The Extra Clumsy Alien!"
Cera sweat dropped upon hearing him and grimaced, "Yup that's the guy…" she muttered having seen them herself some time ago on one of the dvds in Zoe's house….though needless to say she felt as though she needed to bleach her eyes after seeing such madness.
Rex then sighed as he got to the bad news, "Yeah but, Dad and the director aren't really getting along."
She blinked her eyes in surprise, "How so?" She asked, though it wouldn't take long for her to get her answer.
"Oh, come on. Things can't really be that bad." Spike said to his friend as they had their own conversation, right at that very timing as the kids looked towards them.
"Spinoberg is impossible!" Dr. Owen suddenly snapped and screamed at the top of his lungs, getting everyone's attention and making Spike faint in surprise.
"What's going on, Dad?" Rex asked wondering what got him all riled up. It didn't take long for Cera to put 2 and 2 together though.
"Urgh! It's horrible!" Dr Owen groaned in agony before bursting into deep emotional tears of heartbreak, "Every day, pouring all my dinosaur knowledge and passion into the project to try to make it the best dinosaur movie in history, and every day watching my efforts go to waste because of this fanatical director!" Dr. Owen cried as he remembered an incident from earlier in the week, how he made an accurate t rex having seen a real one in the flesh courtesy of Terry.
However Spinoberg not only quickly rejected said idea despite being faced with actual truth, he reduced Dr Owen's heartfelt efforts to less than nothing as he made a complete mess of his best work yet as well as ruining the very image of what dinosaurs were meant to be with his outrageous ideas. Not to mention being critical of Dr Owen himself while having no knowledge or expertise in dinosaurs in the slightest. After hearing his side of the story Cera couldn't help but pity the poor man being forced to work with that ungrateful director and being forced to put up with his disgraceful portrayal of dinosaurs. The way it sounded it would be changing more from a sci-fi masterpiece to a saturday morning cartoon.
"And that's how it's been every day…." Dr. Owen finished his backstory all depressed like some character in soap opera before suddenly exploding in a fit, "I'm not returning to the set until he apologises! He can just forget it!" He screamed before he flopped onto his bed and covered himself with his blanket.
While Max, Cera and Zoe grimaced at Dr Owen's overdramatic and immature behaviour, which was way more so for him than normal, "Dad, you can't just give up like that." Rex then told his father, not wanting him to quit and runaway so easily.
"Yes, I can! You don't know what it's like..." The older man then whined under the blanket like a spoilt child before he started rambling. under the covers
Everyone else was unable to comprehend what was happening before their eyes, "He's acting like a kid." Max commented.
"Or like a movie star." Zoe added uneasily, "I've heard that Hollywood can do that to people sometimes."
"If he were in a soap opera right now no doubt he'd have the starring role and win an oscar for that performance…." Cera shook her head giving her condolences to Dr Owen's dignity which was now gone like the dinosaurs of the past. As he began to mutter under his breath, it was clear he didn't want to think or talk about it anymore, so Cera took the remote and switched off the screen deciding it was best they leave him alone for the time being. "I've heard a lot about Dr Owen from you guys….but this is something else…." She added unsure of what to make of it, a nice way of putting it was that he was an interesting sort of fellow.
"You have no idea…." Zoe chuckled nervously, which hinted she and the others knew way more about Dr Owen than they were letting on…but given what she just witnessed first hand she didn't think it'd be smart to go probing any further, afraid of what she may learn.
Max then eyed Rex rather sadly, "You think the movie's gonna get delayed because of Dr Owen and Spinoberg arguing?" He asked with concern to which Rex shrugged his shoulders.
"Who knows? Though from the way it sounded I wouldn't be surprised if it got cancelled." He said, to which Cera felt would be doing the public a good service, knowing it'd ruin the very image of what dinosaurs were meant to be.
"Aw man, what a bummer…." The brunette then whined rather immaturely feeling let down that he'd be missing on another big hit blockbuster all because of some petty argument. Part of him was hoping Dr Owen would just man up and put aside his pride, after all the show must go on as they say.
Cera could tell what he was thinking and she pouted at him seeing he was rather insensitive, "That's not quite what I'm concerned about…." She stated looking away to which Rex figured out.
"Oh don't worry about dad," Rex assured her with a light smile, "That's just how he usually is, overzealous and sometimes going overboard and overreacting. I'm sure he'll get over it at some point and that he and the director will come to an understanding. No way will they let their petty arguments ruin what could be the greatest dinosaur movie ever."
"Mhmm." Zoe, Spike and Max nodded after him to back up his point.
"If you guys say so…." Cera sweat dropped still unconvinced something like this would just blow over the next day, when it came to one's passion or pride being trampled underfoot no way could they just move on so easily.
It was still a little early into the night so the gang spent their time doing various things around the lab, while Max and the others spent their time playing with Chomp and the others like they always did, Max played ball with Chomp, Rex chasing Ace in a game of tag while Zoe was encouraging Paris to sing again, thinking maybe they'd be stars on stage one of these days. In the meantime Cera began updating the D Lab's records with their recent dinosaur successes such as acquiring the allosaurus from yesterday.
It was then Max began to speak his mind regarding the situation on the upcoming movie being cancelled, "Man I really hope they go through with wrapping up filming soon, I don't care if it's crummy as long as it's got dinosaurs in it I'll watch anything!" Max then shook out his hands childishly.
Cera though didn't quite agree with him as she looked his way from her chair, "Well Max, as far as I know all the special effects in the world wouldn't save a movie without a decent storyline." she added in some of her thoughts, on top of that, she found it hard to stomach that not only would it take a complete wacko like Stanley to come up with a film that was all flash and no substance, but that there were companies that would actually launch it to the public. Or maybe that was just her being nitpicky.
Max and Zoe quickly turned to her rather defensively, "What are you talking about!? Spinoberg's films do have good storylines!" He cried out, "Not to mention the plot twists that he throws in at the last second are what really make the cut! Like when in EC right at the ending it turns from a tearful goodbye straight into an awesome alien invasion of the world!" Max breathed out holding out his hands.
Zoe had to agree with him on that, "Yeah! Plus many of them feature some of the best actors in the world!" Zoe pointed out before blushing red dreamily, "Not to mention a lot of them are so cute….."
"Just as long as they get paid enough I guess…." Cera sighed finding their talents wasted on something she considered mediocre at best…then again it could be just her being a critic with her own set of standards.
She had to admit Spinoberg's methods of making of a good movie meant breaking the norm while being both unconventional and unpredictable…though not in a good way. She found it hard to believe there would be people out there who'd actually enjoy his movie mess ups, and it was harder for her to imagine Max and Zoe being 2 of them, guess they got captivated by all the special effects and famous stars featured in them. Why Spinoberg's production hasn't crashed by now was something that still puzzled her despite her great deductive skills.
Time sure flew on and before long it nearly 11pm and it was time to head home and turn in for the night….till their dinoholders began to flash red signalling the appearance of a brand new dinosaur!
"AH!" They gasped in surprise just when they had gotten downhill from the Lab.
"Aww….Right just when we were about to head home…." Max grunted in annoyance at the dino's lousy timing, something the rest of his friends were bothered with too as they began to yawn a little or grow sleepy…not to mention it was a school night.
Cera was also put off by it, but soon shrugged her shoulders seeing it couldn't be helped, "Oh well, duty calls." She said given it was either they put up with a few extra hours or let this one get taken by the Alpha Gang.
Before long as they rushed back up the hill, "Where's the dinosaur?!" Max asked as the D Team burst through the doors to find Dr Taylor and Reese already at the controls and monitor.
"It's in Los Angeles, California." Reese answered. "Be careful; they have earthquakes out there." She warned the kids as they teleported away without a backwards glance, "Not to mention kooky movie stars." She added right as they disappeared.
"Wait! Movie stars?!" Spike gasped realising he forgot to ask them for autographs before lowering his head in sadness at another missed opportunity.
(Meanwhile)
After the teleportation, the D-Team found themselves in a large studio lot. "Whoa! Oh man! Look where we are! It's a movie studio!" Max gasped as he looked around in awe and amazement at where they were sent this time. Seeing all kinds of props, backdrops and film equipment being transported around the area by various staff into different warehouses and shooting areas, with a couple of film sets in the distance such as for a western movie. Looking harder if you were lucky you could find a few movie stars passing by too.
"Yeah, and I think it's the same studio my dad's at." Rex said as he checked his Dino Holder to confirm the dinosaur was in the area and to realise it was the very same one Dr Owen was assigned to.
"Wow, think it's a coincidence?" Cera blinked her eyes in surprise, the universe sure worked in strange ways. Looking up at the sky and seeing how the morning sun had now come up while it was still late at night back home, imagine the jet lag when they get back….
"Aah! Look who it is!" Zoe suddenly squealed with stars in her eyes getting everyone's attention. Looking at where she was focused on, she saw an actor in a vampire costume stroll bu, "I'd know that face from anywhere. That's Johnny Zepp in his vampire makeup!" She pointed to a man dressed as a vampire walking past them, chuckling at the attention and even flashing them a cool grin greeting his fan. "Oh, he's so hot!"
The others stared at her in surprise seeing her go goo goo eyes again over a celebrity but then again that's just the kind of person Zoe was.
"I guess…." Max looked around before feeling something large approaching them, as he turned to look, "Whoa!" He gasped in alarm when he saw it T-Rex that almost looked exactly like Terry, "Oh, for a second, I thought that was a real dinosaur." He said as he sighed with relief.
"It's not bad….what's dad so upset about?" Rex commented feeling his dad may have been over dramatic during his talk just now.
"Yeah it scared me." Max added feeling impressed at that piece of work.
Even Cera had to admit that was impressive as she nodded and smiled at it with approval…till she heard from the staff exiting the pickup truck carrying it, mutter grumpily to some other workers that this piece was rejected by the director, who even branded it as old junk and wanted it scrapped for spare parts and how he believed it to be a waste of effort given the hard work they put into making it in the first place. It made her sigh sadly, realising what Dr Owen was talking about and feeling that the passion of dinosaur lovers would be disgraced by something like this.
"Hey, look over there! Isn't that George Looney?" Zoe then pointed out snapping her out of her thoughts..
"I don't know, but everywhere you look there's something cool." Max added as he caught sight of something interesting, "Check out that care turning into a robot!" He pointed at a red sports car transform into a robot as some technicians worked the controls.
"Whoa! That's awesome!"
"Totally!" Rex and Zoe both gasped in awe at something so wondrous.
"Looks like it's from that show 'Converters'." Cera noted putting a finger to her chin in thought, she had to admit that was a great series of alien robots taking the form of earth vehicles, made her wonder if they may try making them for real, that would be interesting indeed.
It was then that Rex realised something wasn't right, as it had gotten too quiet. Looking down he gasped in surprise to see the dinosaurs were gone! "Ah! Where did Ace go!?"
"Chomp and Paris are gone, too!" Max gasped in equally shocked realisation.
"Oh no!" Zoe cried out worrying that this may be worse than any other times they've ran off and got lost!
Widening her own eyes, "M…Miku!?" Cera checked around frantically to make sure she was still perched on her somewhere, when she couldn't find her she was about to panic, but thankfully she found her sitting on a rooftop just above her head! "Ah! Miku!" She smiled with relief along with the others, putting a hand to her chest as the little dinosaur leapt off her perch and glided down to her shoulder gracefully. Cera then scowled crossly, "You bad girl! You worried me!" She scolded Miku who covered her face fearfully with her feathery arms and shivering. "Though I suppose I can't blame you given with so many sights, sounds and smells all around us it'd be hard to not get curious…." Cera then sighed loosening up a little, with understanding as Max, Rex and Zoe frowned too. "Still, don't do that ever again without telling me please?" She asked to which Miku cooed and stroked her face at Cera's hand as they reconciled making her friends smile….though the moment didn't last long as they still had 3 more missing dinos to find.
Max then pouted, "You'd think after all the times they've ran off we would have learned to keep a higher leash on them…"
"Maybe we ought to keep them in their cards next time." Zoe frowned folding her arms on her hips and looking around them.
Rex then tensed up, "Well there's no use dwelling on it, we'd better go find them before something bad happens!" He said, worrying they may get hurt or run into the dinosaur on the loose here, or worse with the Alpha Gang!
"And fast!" Max nodded in agreement as Cera and Zoe agreed too.
"Yeah."
The 4 of them ran off in the distance through the streets pass studio lots, editing rooms, storage warehouses while trying to call out for their partners hoping for them to hear them and answer them back with a bark or for a sign they were close by, "Chomp!"
"Ace!"
"Paris!"
"Where are you guys?!" The D-Team called out for their missing partners. It was then they were greeted by a pair of familiar voices coming from some all too familiar people.
"You lost them already?"
"Huh?" The team turned around hearing said voices, only for something to whoosh pass them! Turning around they saw Rod and Laura appear before them in their scooters.
"What are you two doing here!?" Max pointed out at them angrily, still infuriated with the past few times they got in their way before, they were getting under his skin way more than the trio.
"No doubt they're here for the dinosaur like us…." Cera narrowed her eyes and readied herself, right now they had no dinosaurs to effectively fight back with….iof they summoned their own here they'd be in a heap of trouble….thankfully they wouldn't have to worry about that for now.
"Well, while you fumble around looking for your little lost friends, we're going to catch the dinosaur." Laura taunted them.
"That's right! Happy hunting!" Rod mocked as they drove away leaving the infuriated D Team in their dust!
"See ya!"
"That's great! They got the jump on us again!" grumbled while Max tensed up and shook with rage.
Cera, deciding not to take any chances looked to her friends, "Let's split up, you guys stay focused on finding Chomp and the others." She instructed them before looking ahead still being able to get Rod and Laura in her sights, "In the meantime I'll do my best to make sure they don't get to the dinosaur first." She said clenching her fist in determination.
Her friends widened their eyes in disbelief hearing her, "Are you nuts!?"
"You can't take them open by yourself!"
"Yeah! They'll squash you and Miku flat!" They each protested to her out of worry and concern.
Cera sighed understanding the risks but under the circumstances she had no choice, "That may be but I'm still the only one with a dinosaur to fight back with." She replied before looking around them to see they still had a wide area to cover, "Plus we can cover ground better if we divide and conquer, hit 2 birds with 1 stone that way."
Hearing her reasoning, her friends found it hard to disagree with her logic despite the risks, then again Cera has proved her mettle time and again before and she could handle herself even without a dinosaur. Thinking it over and seeing they were short on time, they looked to her with confidence and nodded, before deciding to trust her. "Okay, but be careful, you know how tricky those 2 are." Said Max putting a hand on her shoulder, having experienced their crafty tricks before and hoping Cera be on alert.
"I know." She nodded back at him before smirking with confidence, "But so am I!" She said before heading off after the Alpha Siblings.
"Good luck!"
"Take care of yourself and don't do anything crazy!" Her friends waved to her before looking to each other and nodding seriously before running off down another direction to look for their runaway partners, and hopefully the dinosaur.

Cera rushed as fast as he could down the path trying to catch up to the Alpha kids, despite her best efforts the fact her enemies were riding on scooters with anti gravity functions didn't make it any easier to catch up to them. She panted and sweated in exhaustion s her heart began to race inside her chest, but she refused to give up as she yelled out at the top of her lungs, "Hey you!"
"Hmm?" They bot blinked their eyes in surprise before turning around to see Cera chasing after them.
"Quit running away and face me already!" She demanded shaking out her fist at them with Miku squawking out angrily.
They both stared and blinked in surprise that she wanted to take them on personally by herself, while courageous it also made her seem rather….insane. "Hmm…I don't know Rod, should we stop to play a little?" Laura pondered over it.
Rod however smirked and shrugged his shoulders, "Nah! We've got bigger fish to fry right now, we can deal with her anytime later." He snickered to which his sister nodded.
"Good point." She smiled as they turned their backs to Cera much to her frustration as they came into a divide, "Besides no way can she catch us both at once!" She called out as the 2 kids went in opposite directions splitting up to Cera's annoyance!
"Hey! Get back here!" She wheezed with exhaustion as she came to the middle and looking both ways to see them waving or making faces at her!
"Try and catch us now you slowpoke!" Rod mocked her while Laura stuck out her tongue blowing a raspberry at Cera before they disappeared!
"Nyeh!"
"Hey! Get back here!" Cera screamed stomping her foot on the ground but her words fell on deaf ears as the kids disappeared out of sight and earshot! "Tch! Rats!" Cera clicked her tongue in annoyance before fatigue caught up to her forcing her to lean forward and rest her arms on her knees before wheezing in exhaustion to catch her breath.
"Grr…." She growled with frustration gnashing her teeth with fury, that her efforts to chase them down and stop them amounted to nothing, and now she was separated from the rest of her friends, for all she knew Rod and Laura could even turn their attention on them and they'd be helpless to stop them!
Many worried thoughts raced through her mind about what could happen, followed by her fatigue and discomfort from being under the hot Los Angeles sun and sweating like crazy. Miku then cooed to her comfortingly and nuzzled at her cheek hoping to calm her down. Feeling her, Cera smiled feeling more calm and at ease, also grateful for Miku being there to comfort her and to assure her that all will be fine.
"Thanks Miku, I needed that, no point in worrying over spilt milk." She thanked the little micro raptor before stepping up straight again. Taking a calming breath she sported a serious look on her face as she calmly assessed the situation and after careful consideration weighing out her options, she made a decision, "No choice, I've gotta backtrack and help find the missing dinosaurs and quick…." She decided.
Just as she made a step forward, a certain thought crossed her mind which made her widen her eyes in realisation, "Wait a minute…." She stopped still in her tracks and realised all along they could have just recalled their dinosaurs back to their hands with their dinoholders! All this time they had been worrying and running in circles for nothing! She scrunched up the hair in frustration, "Urgh….can't believe even I would forget my common sense…" She cursed herself as Miku nibbled her ear to get her attention. Motioning deep breaths to calm down before Cera followed her doing the same.
On the bright side at least there was something they could do now, as she took up her dinoshot and prepared to inform her friends, "Well better late than never, guess I'd better-" Before she could make a call she looked up and saw what looked like 3 familiar faces walk by in front of one of the alleys she stood at. "Hmm?" Blinking her eyes she decided to get a closer look while sticking to the shadows and out of sight. Looking behind the wall, she narrowed her eyes upon seeing the Trio walking by, "Oh dear this isn't good…." She muttered, as if the kids bad enough now the 3 stooges were here to make things more complicated….if they found the missing dinosaurs before Max and the others did….
Meanwhile the A Team were strolling around the studio lots after managing to put Dr Z to sleep for his afternoon nap and managing to find a chance to escape their prison of a home, "We've been here for hours and nothing!" Ursula exclaimed in frustration.
"Yeah, where's the dinosaur?" Ed wondered.
"Not that, you blockhead!" Ursula reprimanded him, "I'm looking for something much more interesting." She said with a mischievous smile and a blush on her face.
"We just passed the bathroom." Zander commented sarcastically.
"Think about it. We're at a big-time Hollywood studio! That means there are films stars around here, and when I find one, ah, I just know sparks of love will fly." Ursula answered before she heard someone screaming, to which Cera took notice of too. Turning around, she saw Johnny Zepp running towards her. "And look! That's Johnny Zepp!" She exclaimed with heart-eyes before hugging him around the neck. "Oh, Johnny, I'm your biggest fan!"
"Yeah, well, talk to my agent, okay?!" Johnny struggled before throwing her off and running away in a panic.
"My love! Stop!" Ursula cried dramatically as a large Pentaceratops showed up behind her.
"Whoa!" Cera gasped in shock that she actually found the dinosaur! Miku squeaked in alarm herself too.
"Ursula! Look! It's the dinosaur!" Zander told her as it approached, while Ed started to panic and search for the Alpha Scanner.
"Could you two handle that one on your own?" She grumbled in annoyance before daydreaming in a more flustered tone, "I must go where Johnny goes! Whee!" She squealed in excitement as she went after the vampire actor, making him running from a real monster now.
"She's lost it for sure this time." Zander commented as she left.
"And I think I lost the Alpha Scanner!" Ed added in alarm, unaware that Rod and Laura took the scanners from them to prevent them from interring with another mission like they did the other day.
Zander tensed when he realised they were completely defenceless against the Pentaceratops, as they ran after their team leader in desperation! "Ahh! Wait for us, Ursula!"
The Pentaceratops stopped when he saw them running away. "Johnny, my love! Come back!" Ursula called out as they disappeared.
Cera sweat dropped unable to comprehend what she just saw, "Well there's that…" On the bright side without any dinosaurs that was one less thing to worry about. After that hearing the dinosaur's grunts she turned to see the large ceratopsian wag his tail excitedly at a horse scaring it away. "Okay how shall I handle this…" she put a finger to her chin in thought hoping to plan out some kind of before the pentaceratops would cause any kind of trouble. She didn't have much time though, as the Pentaceratops noticed a colourful Triceratops animatronic. Upon seeing it, Cera flinched in surprise at what she just saw, staggering back and staring in surprise, clearly things were way worse than she first thought as she began to realise what Dr Owen meant now and that he wasn't overexaggerating in the slightest, if anything he may not have exaggerated enough!
It was then she noticed the front hatch on the head of the robot trike open up revealing Chomp, Ace and Paris controlling it on the inside, as Chomp pulled a lever and made the robot go inside a studio. The Pentaceratops shook his tail like a dog in heat and followed after it with love on his mind. As Cera looked on she didn't know what was stranger, the fact the Pentaceratops actually fell in love for the fake dinosaur mistaking it to be real somehow, or that Chomp and the others were actually able to pilot it rather well. "Well that's something you don't see everyday Miku." She whistled to which Miku cooed impressed. "Guess they must have learned much seeing their human partners, so imagine if they got smart enough to operate devices on their own, that would be something huh Miku?" She said to her partner who nodded. Cera smiled thinking of the possibilities for dinosaurs in the future….till her train of thoughts came to an abrupt stop as she realised what actually happened! "Hold on! Wait a minute!" She exclaimed realising she found both the dinosaur and their own!
As she ran after them, she quickly dialled on the dinoshot in alarm, "Come on! Pick up you guys!" She hissed impatiently, cursing herself for being so forgetful, she'd have top reprimand herself for this later. Thankfully she didn't have to wait long as Max appeared on the screen and he seemed to be running with a serious look on his face.
"Cera!" He called but before he could speak she beat him to it.
"Guys where are you!? I just found the dinosaur along with Chomp and the others!" She shouted urgently as Max widened his eyes.
"What!?"
"You have!?"
"Where!?" Zoe and Rex gasped upon hearing her through the communicator.
"I just saw all of them enter the studio where they are shooting that space robot movie! I'm heading after them now!" She answered them.
"Gotcha! We'll meet you there soon! Don't let them out of your sight!" Max replied as the call ended and Cera looked ahead.
As she ran down the halls she found it rather surprising that the place was much bigger than she expected it to be, not to mention the Pentaceratops was somehow able to escape, she thought at his size it would be easy to spot him. Before long she soon found

In his search for the animatronic, the Pentaceratops found himself on a moon set before tons of spotlights were shined down on him. From the lights, he could briefly see a bunch of robots standing, and Helga approaching him. "Fantastic!" Spinoberg said from a crane nest as he was holding a camera. "A futuristic space showdown between a genuine dinosaur and a frightening robot! I can't believe the way I keep topping myself! And... action!"
Cera really getting Dr Owen now-Also how did the Alpha gang's housemaid end up here?
Calls out to them as they come
The Pentaceratops and Helga continued in staring each other down when the D-Team arrived. "That's a Pentaceratops!" Max identified.
"Look! Is Hilda in this movie, too?" Zoe asked as she pointed out the android maid.
"Hilda?" Cera blinked her eyes curiously, "You know her?"
"She's the Alpha Gang's housekeeper robot." said Rex to her, which made Cera blink her eyes in surprise.
"Wait the Alpha Gang's house keeper?" She repeated, "And she's a robot!?" She then exclaimed in disbelief at what she just heard.
"Aah! It's Helga!" Helga then yelled angrily as she entered a battle stance with a soup ladle of all things!
Cera stared in disbelief, she had seen her fair share of strange things but this was really taking the cake, not only did the Alpha Gang had a Robocalls maid but she actually believed she could take on a full sized dinosaur with no more than a cooking utensil!
"Look!" Laura pointed out as she and Rod entered the set.
"I don't believe it! You're back!" Rod said to Helga.
Hearing their voices, Cera turned to see them and glared, "Oh great just what we don't need…." She grumbled, till Helga's angry yell distracted her.
"Time to study!" she roared before charging towards the Pentaceratops. "Aah!" She leapt at the Pentaceratops and hit him on the face with her spoon, causing him to fall to the ground.
Everyone couldn't believe what they just saw.
"Egad! She just knocked out Pentaceratops!" Dr. Owen gasped in amazement.
"With a soup spoon!" Max added on top of that just as impressed, though he shouldn't be too surprised given how she handled herself against stegosaurus some time ago.
As Cera looked on she could tell something was definitely wrong with her, and not because she assumed everything built by the Alpha Gang was maniacal and unstable but due to a certain feeling that she was different from the rest of those devices.
After hearing some ranting, Dr Owen looked up to see a familiar and annoying individual presence. "Agh! It's Spinoberg!" He growled as the director started listing out commands. Seeing him up close, Cera already didn't like him and could understand why Dr Owen hated him so much.
"I want more fighting, more destruction!" He ordered Helga.
"You must do your homework und-und finish your studies." She replied as her voice deepened and fluctuated like she was malfunctioning. The Pentaceratops got up and roared in anger, seizing his chjnce before hitting her with such force that it sent her threw the set's background punching a massive hole through. "Aah!" She yelled before she crashed. When the dust cleared, she was short circuiting and her head was slowly opening up. "That was naughty. No more snacks for you. No more snacks." She struggled to say.
"Helga!" Rod said as he and Laura drove over to her behind the set both drastically worried about her. It was then Cera b linked in surprise to see that those kids actually cared for that robot….Looks like she was different from the rest of the droids after all.
It didn't take long for a red light to shine behind the set as a massive t-rex appeared and knocked down the set as he went for the Pentaceratops. "I love it!" Spinoberg cried as the crane lowered to get a better look at Gigas. "The robot's loyal friend arrives and attacks with another dinosaur!"
"Come on!" The assistant urged. "It's too dangerous in here! We've got to get-"
"Go bring up the lights!" Spinoberg yelled at him ignoring the danger. "Can't you see this is the big climax?!"
The assistant obliged and quickly turned the lights up to their brightest as Terry roared before he went for the Pentaceratops. Cera scowled seeing how Spinoberg was so focused on putting on a good show he didn't care about anyone else even if they got hurt, tail about being egotistical and selfish.
The Pentaceratops was prepared to face Terry head on, but stopped when he noticed the animatronic he was chasing as it rolled away! Cera widened her eyes as she spotted it, while the Pentaceratops and quickly went after it, narrowly avoiding Terry's bite. "How did you miss it, Terry!? Go after it!" Rod grumbled as the he and Laura followed the tyrannosaurus after the lovesick dinosaur.
"We got to do something!" Max said as they left.
"Yeah, they're going to hurt Pentaceratops!" Zoe worried in agreement.
"If only Ace and the others were here…." Rex said grimly. "There's nothing we can do without them!" All the while as Dr owen was still ranting and grumbling about Spinoberg who chased after the dinosaur.
"Slow down! Let me get a close-up!" Spinoberg said as he ran after them with the camera.
"Stanley, stop!" His assistant called out as he ran after him.
It was then Cera seized her chance, "Guys! I just saw Chomp and the others! They were in that ridiculously coloured triceratops animatronic just now!"
Her friends gasped in alarm at her words, "Say what!?"
"The one pentaceratops chased after!?"
She nodded back at them, "We have to go after them otherwise could lose them ALL to the Alpha Gang!" She said with much urgency.
"AH!" They all gasped in alarm realising that as their worst case scenario before looking to one another.
"Alright, let's go then!" Max pumped up his arm with Zoe and Rex nodding too.
"Yeah!"
It was then Dr Owen snapped out of his angry thoughts as he realised what was more important. "You kids go that way!" He pointed out to an exit in the opposite direction from where they were, "Me and Patrick will follow after Spinoberg! With any luck we may be able to get them on both sides!"
"Sounds like a plan dad!" Rex nodded agreeing with him as the gang separated hoping to intercept the dinosaur chase at any direction they could!
As they ran outside of the studio lot they were greeted by a large saichania which stomped right in front of them and shrieked out in a rage!
"WAH!" They gasped as they stopped in their tracks with Max falling backwards on his butt as they were stared down by Laura and Tank!
Having been told by Rod to keep them from following him and Terry she also saw an opportunity to be rid of their problems once and for all, "Hee hee, can't let you you guys get in our way again like last time now can we?" Laura giggled in amusement, "And after we're done with that pentaceratops we'll be sure to help ourselves to your dinosaurs too!"
Her statement angered the D Team immensely, "Grr! You wouldn't dare!" Max yelled out shaking his fist at her but that rage quickly turned to panic as Tank bellowed back at him! "WAH!"
"Oh? And just what do you intend to do about it hmm?" She smirked at his empty threat as Tank stomped towards them and the gang held together anxiously and with agitation. Max and Rex standing ahead with hardened expressions while Zoe remained nervous.
Cera then stood in front of them and held out her arm, "You guys go, I'll take care of this myself." She said as her fiends looked to her in surprise.
"What!?"
"Cera you can't-"
She then glared at them, "There's no time! Longer we take the longer Pentaceratops and the others will be in dangers! Go now while you still can!" She yelled out to them with determination and affirmation in her eyes.
"Cera…." Max gritted his teeth in frustration seeing there was no other choice and no time to waste. Looking to his friends they nodded at him with firmness and some degree of confidence that Cera could handle herself. He then looked to her, "Okay, good luck, once we get our dinos back we'll come back for you as soon as we can!" He said hoping he could keep that promise and that he wouldn't regret leaving Cera by her lonesome.
As they ran off Cera nodded, "Thanks….I may need it…" She breathed as she narrowed her eyes back at Tank and Laura as she readied herself and Miku hardened her gaze with agitation.
"Hmph, taking me on all alone?" Laura scoffed thinking she was being taken lightly, "You're either brave or just nuts. But let's go with nuts." A smirk then appeared on her face, "Still it would be fun to see how you can take me and Tank on with your little dinosaur." She giggled smugly. As much as she wanted to go after the rest of the D Team, she felt since Cera had a dinosaur of her own now she took priority,
"How you ask?" Looking around frantically for something to fight back with, before noticing a nearby fog machine sitting on some crates, to which she smirked having found the answer, "Heh, simple. I'll just whatever I have at hand to the best of my abilities!" She chuckled running over to it and switching it on! "Eat smoke!" She yelled out pressing there button which blasted a stream of white fog right in Tank's face!
The saichania screeched in agitation as the smell got in her nose and obscured her vision, even swallowing Laura up in the smoke too! "COUGH! COUGH! Hey! No fair!" She coughed out in irritation.
"Says the girl who's trying to attack us when we have nothing to fight back with!" Cera retorted back, covering up her mouth first before taking in a breath as she grabbed her dinoshot, "Now's our chance Miku!" She seized the opportunity as she reverted her partner to card form and slashed, "Dino slash! Microraptor! Shine!" Miku transformed to her full sized form as Cera threw her above the smoke cloud, looking up above she could see Tank thrashing about restlessly down below, her senses blinded by the smoke agitating her thus giving Miku a clear shot at her head as she aimed right at it with pinpointed accuracy! As Cera ran out of the smoke she gave her the signal, "Alright! Power siphon!" She ordered as Miku skydived down and landed right on Tank's head as she began leeching out the energy from her!
"Argh! I can't see a thing in here!" Laura squinted her eyes unable to see only to see Tank's club swing out at her, "Whoa! Watch it Tank!" She yelped zooming out her tail's range and then appearing above the smoke. Seeing Tank was thrashing about in the dust below she still couldn't see well, "Urgh….neither is it any better up here…." She grunted in annoyance, but as the fog began to clear out, Tank let out an exhausted groan before collapsing ton then ground and reverting to a card having exhausted all her energy! "Oh no! Tank!" Laura gasped as she hovered to the ground while Miku glided back to Cera's side.
"Great job Miku." She smiled proudly before looking to Laura, "Now for you."
Laura clicked her tongue in frustration seeing she had lost, "Tch! You got lucky this time but next time you better watch out!" She yelled out at Cera as she retrieved Tank's card and took off somewhere else.
Cera let out a sigh of relief as Miku retuned to her shoulder, to which she thanked with a chin scratch before looking ahead with a serious expression, "Alright now that that's taken care of, let's go find the others." She said out loud as she ran ahead through the wild west set. A little further into the set she heard the sounds of screaming and rumbling in the ground hinting they were on the right track, "Okay let's just follow the screams and we'll find them in no time." She told herself as she continued onwards hoping to rejoin with her teammates and save the dinosaurs from the clutches Alpha Gang, but her progress came to a halt when a loud voice screamed at her from behind.
"Hold it right there twerp!"
"Hmm?" Digging in her heels she turned around to see Ursula pointing out at her with a devious grin on her face while Zander and Ed were trotting behind her while rubbing their sore heads. "Oh great…." Cera sighed in annoyance seeing exactly the people she didn't need right now.
"Ehehehe….tough luck for you brat! I've just had a really bad day and now I'm gonna take out all my frustration on you!" Ursula cackled intending to give the red haired girl a thrashing and even take her dino off her hands in the process, while her 2 friends managed to massage the pain out of their foreheads before focusing on the opportunity in front of them.
Cera remained unintimidated by them despite being outnumbered, as she folded her arms and scoffed at them, "Hmph, that hardly seems fair old lady…." She said in a rather bored tone.
"EEP!" Ed and Zander hugged one another and shivered, as Ursula fumed red and steamed!
"Grargh! How dare you!?" She growled stomping her foot on the ground, it was bad enough she was tricked into proposing to an old man earlier, now she was getting insulted again as though the universe was mocking her very existence! "I swear after I beat you to a pulp I'll pluck out your little dino's feathers one by one and make a rotisserie out of her!" She snarled popping her knuckles to which Cera took rather offensively as she clenched her hand in to a fist while Miku hissed angrily.
"I…Isn't that overkill Ursula?" Ed squeaked before Zander shrugged it off.
"Still, at least we won't be going empty handed hehehe…" He grinned as the 3 of them sported rather malicious looks on their faces as they raised out their arms ready to grab hold of Cera and Miku while coming closer….to their doom.
Miku, sensing what was about to happen, leapt off Cera's shoulders and began to climb up one of the support poles to a roof of the cowboy set, "Back off you 3 clowns, you don't want to do this." she warned them, a shade covering her eyes rather menacingly as the 3 stooges were unaware of the danger they were stepping into.
"Oh we most certainly do!" Ursula sneered as she pointed out, "Come on! Let's get her!" She ordered as they all charged at Cera with full force!
"YAH!"
Cera however was quick to respond as she leapt out and swung out her leg! "Hiyah!" Her roundhouse kick smacked right in Ursula's face and sent her flying into some nearby barrels!
"AIYEE!" She screamed crashing through the barrels and knocking her out cold to Zander and Ed's bewilderment!
"Ursula!" They both gasped in alarm before glaring angrily at her.
"How dare you!?"
"We'll avenge you Ursula!" They vowed shaking their fists as they charged at her!
"You guys looking for punishment too?" Cera asked them before striking, "Well I'm happy to oblige." Pointing up they stopped in their tracks.
"Hmm?" Looking up they were surprised as Miku flared out her wings and dove at them, landing smack right on Ed's face as he panicked and ran around in circles in a panic!
"WAH! I can't see! Get her off me!" He cried flailing out his hands but before could grab her off, she leapt off his face in time as he ran right into a wall!
WHAM!
"Urgh…" He groaned in pain as he fell backwards on the ground as stars circled around his head in a doozy!
"Oh no Ed!" Zander gasped for his defeated comrade before gritting his teeth angrily, "Looks like it's up to me then!"
"I wouldn't count on that." Cera spoke out to him. Right before he could turn, he felt a pinch on his neck making him freeze up stiff!
"ACK!" He croaked as his body felt all limp and he fell down to the ground paralysed and twitching violently. "URK!"
With the trio out of the picture, Cera smacked the dust off her hands before folding her arms on her hips as she eyed her handiwork, "I warned you guys, now look at what you've gotten yourself into." She told them as they groaned unconsciously, while Miku landed back on her shoulder most gracefully. With that out of the way, she could finally resume her search for her friends, "Alright, now where could they have gone." As she turned around it was at that moment she saw Terry smashing out of the roof of a studio and then washing out at the parking lot nearby! It seemed as though he landed on what appeared to be a blue Alpha transport as it exploded underneath him, no doubt the vehicle the Trio used to get here. "Guess that's where I'm headed." She then thought as she ran towards there as fast as her legs could carry her.
Meanwhile at the carpark, Rod and Laura zoomed out of the studio and came to Terry as he groaned rather weakly after the hit he took from pentaceratops.
"Terry!" Rod called out to him while Laura looked concerned.
"Is he okay?" She asked Rod, to which he narrowed his eyes and yelled out at him.
"Come on Terry get up! You're not going to let that pentaceratops beat you so easily are you!?" He called out showing tough love to their t-rex as he opened up his eyes and struggled to get up to his legs. He groaned rather groggily as he shook his head clear and stomped off to the entrance of the studio raring for round 2, right after he shakes his head clear and gets his balance back.
Rod grinned eagerly for another fight, till Laura curiously pointed out at the wreckage underneath where Terry lay just now, "Say why is there another ride here?"
As her brother looked to the flattened smoking pile of scrap he blinked his eyes in surprise to see it too, "You don't think that-" Before he could finish, a voice suddenly yelled out getting his attention.
"Power siphon!"
"Huh!?" At their moment of distraction, Miku had swooped down from the sky and landed right on Terry's face and began to sap out the remaining energy from his body as he roared out in pain and disorientation, right as he was about to rush inside!
"AH! Terry!" Rod and Laura stared in disbelief as Terry lost consciousness and reverted to a card as Miku returned to Cera's side.
The siblings glared at her with angry expressions, "Hey no fair!" They both yelled out at her as she folded her arms and shook her head in disapproval at them.
"Hmph, it's your fault for letting your guard down." She simply replied uncaringly as she reverted Miku to normal while the siblings reclaimed their card.
"Grrr!" They growled looking as though they were ready to fight her themselves!
"As much as I'd like to stay and trade fists and insults with you now…actually no I don't." Cera anticipated this but luckily she had a solution to this dilemma, "But don't you have someone to take with you back home?" She gestured pointing back with her thumb as they widened their eyes realising whom she meant.
"AH! Helga!"
"Oh no we forgot!" They both gasped in alarm realising they left her behind when they chased after the pentaceratops! Looking to one another, they nodded in agreement before making a hard choice, while scowling at Cera as they departed, "Grr! This isn't over!"
"We'll be back and when we do we'll be sure to pay you back for this too!" They yelled out as they zoomed pass Cera and headed for the space studio where Helga was, hopefully they could get her before she gets taken away.
As they departed with post haste, "They actually really care for that robot lady…." Cera thought as she smiled a little, seeing they actually did care for her. Maybe they weren't all that bad after all. She then put a finger to her chin in thought, "Also why would their robot be here of all places?" Before she could think about it a loud angry roar could be heard inside getting her attention.
Roar!
"Well that can wait, let's go!" She decided realising her priorities. As she came in she widened her eyes to see Ace was down on the ground and the pentaceratops was charging right towards Chomp and the animatronic triceratops! "AH!" She gasped in alarm and was about to rush in to help, only to see Chomp use lightning strike at the charging ceratopsian! At first he pushed hard through the strike till eventually slowing down and collapsing down on the ground in exhaustion. It was then for a brief moment, she could see tears welling up in the pentaceratops' eyes before he lost consciousness and returned to card form. It was then she put 2 and 2 together, "Oh dear….." She sighed feeling really sorry for the poor dinosaur, hopefully now he could get some rest and she hoped the next time he comes out he won't be as heartbroken….had he realised the truth though, if he could, he'd still feel as bad unfortunately as she continued thinking about it…though said thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a loud familiar voice.
"What a lovely and tragic story!" Spinoberg cried tears of joy as he pulled out a handkerchief. "And I captured it all on film! I'd better go work on my acceptance speech!"
It was then Cera noticed the director was here having recorded the entire fight and chase it seemed, along with her friends being present too, "Oh dear….wonder how we're going to get around this." She wondered seeing they'd be revealed on nation wide big screens if they didn't figure something out. Hopefully in event Spinoberg wouldn't edit out their identities, which she envisioned as the most likely scenario, maybe she could tamper with the footage after knocking him out. Seeing her friends there she walked up to them, "Hey guys." She called out getting their attention as they looked to her.
"Ah Cera you made it." Max smiled happy to see her as he and Rex called back Chomp and Ace before changing them to chibi size, "Sorry you missed all the fun." He chuckled a little scratching the back of his head.
"So how did it go with the Alpha Gang?" Zoe asked her curiously.
Cera shrugged her shoulders with little concern, "I took care of them no worries," She said to their relief as she looked down at the card of pentaceratops, "And I see you got things handled here." She said heading over to collect the card before sighing at it with some regret, "Can't help but feel sorry for that poor dinosaur though…."
Her friends frowned seeing what she meant, "Yeah it's quite a shame…." Rex mentioned understanding what she meant as they all felt some pity for the unlucky dinosaur….they didn't have much time to think about what to do though when a loud excited voice suddenly called out to them.
"Hey you kids!"
"Huh!?" They looked in alarm to see Spinoberg grinning rather greedily at them as he rubbed his palms together.
"Hehe, I don't how you all did it or how you all got dinosaurs in the first place." He snickered approaching them, making them tense up nervously at what he was thinking. Cera narrowed her eyes preparing herself to knock him out cold if it came to it, "But you and your pet dinos helped me create my greatest masterpiece ever! To that I'm really grateful for it!" He cheered with gratitude before flashing a grin and holding out a thumbs up to them, "As a reward I'll gladly split the glory and the profits 50-50 when we launch this on the big screens! Heh, I'll even make sure you're all in the credits and making of scenes too! In fact if it hits big maybe I'll have you all star in a series based off that very movie too! Wahaha!" He laughed joysouly making the children widen their eyes in amazement and surprise!"
"AH!"
Max and Zoe brightened up with delight and excitement seeing big time fame and fortune in their futures.
"W…Wow, that's really generous of you!"
"You really mean it!?" They gasped with sparkling eyes filled with hope, while Rex and Cera were taken aback and stared rather speechlessly, unsure of what to make of it.
"Heheh, you bet I am." Spinoberg smirked smugly, "And you have my word on the rewears! Heh, I'll even make sure you're all in the credits and making of scenes too!"
"Yippee!" Zoe and Max cheered and high fives one another seeing their future was shining brightly like the sun in the sky….till Cera pointed out something of concern to them both.
"Though, should we really be live on tv for everyone and anyone to see who we are though guys?"
"Huh?" They blinked their eyes in surprise as their excitement came to an abrupt stop.
Rex had to agree as he took her side, "Cera's right, no way can we let the whole world know about us and the dinosaurs. Imagine if there are other bad people out there who may want our dinosaurs too…." He said with worry, "We just can't take that chance can we?"
As he finished, Max and Zoe thought about it long and hard realising they may have been caught up in the excitement too much they hadn't considered how it may affect everyone else around them including their own partners. After thinking about it along and hard they both sighed sadly, "Y…Yeah you're right…"
"That's too bad I guess…." They both muttered with their dreams shattering before their every eyes. Though as they looked ahead to see the wildly painted robo ceratops, they began too imagine if Spinoberg made them do all kinds of wacky stunts or make them wear all kinds of extravagant outfits like that…no way they'd like it in the slightest.
Max then turned to face the sleazy director who eagerly awaited their answer. They had one yes but not quite the one he was expecting, "As great as that offer is I'm afraid we're going to have to turn it down." Max sighed lowering his head making Spinoberg's jaw hang!
"Say what?!" He exclaimed in disbelief, "But you'll be giving up the greatest opportunity of a life time! Your own dressing room! Your own fanbase! Even merchandise!" He cried out hoping they'd reconsider what they were crazy enough to turn down.
"We know…" Rex replied before looking down at their partners who were looking up at them curiously, "But we don't think our dinosaurs are all too keen on being stars themselves." Even if they would enjoy the fame and fortune of being stars that also came with much responsibility too.
"And if they aren't interested then we won't force them to, even if we have to sit it out ourselves." Zoe said firmly with her friends, though on the inside she was crying her heart out too.
"Grr…." Spinoberg was rather upset that the 4 children would such an opportunity which anyone would gladly grab, sure they were children and likely still went to school but he saw all that as overrated nonsense. He was about to give them a piece of his mind till realising since they had dinosaurs they likely would be fans of his movie, so chances were he'd be ruining his own image which he built up for years now and even just a single bad review would ruin his reputation. Seeing how firm they were in their choice, he then sighed, "Fine fair enough, though I fell you'll regret passing up this lifetime opportunity." He replied before smiling a bit as he tossed them his name card, "But just so you know if you ever change your mind, feel free to ring me up!" He grinned not giving up on them just yet, in time they'll come around he just knew it, not to mention the footage he got so far would make his career skyrocket in the meantime.
"We'll…consider it…." Cera muttered uneasily as she kept the card with her…though it was unlikely they'd say yes.
Spinoberg then looked overt he damage done so far due to the battle but shrugged it off, "Heh, all that really matters is that we can finally finish wrapping up production and in a few days this thing will be ready for release in no time! Heck maybe even ahead of schedule! Ahahaha!" He laughed with confidence as the kids smiled happy.
"Well that's good to know." Rex nodded.
"Maybe now we can look forward to that movie coming out without delays."
"And it'll be a real legit one too." Max and Zoe added on top of that.
It was then Cera was reminded of what Dr Owen mentioned to them a little while ago as she tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention, "Well now that you've seen the real deal Mr Spinoberg. Think maybe now you'll give Dr Owen a little more respect and credit?" She asked him.
He blinked his eyes, "Huh? Owen? What do you know about him?"
Rex then stepped forward, "W…Well, he's my dad actually." He said surprising the director.
"Hmm?"
Max and Zoe then stood with them, "And from what we heard from him despite everything he tried to tell you about real dinosaurs you kept shutting him down."
"Now that you've seen what real dinosaurs are like maybe you could see what he was trying to tell you this whole time?" They asked him to which he scratched his head in thought.
"I err…." As he thought about it and began to realise the actual primal ferocity unleashed from the real dinosaurs was something he couldn't capture at all in his initial ideas and maybe never could. He then hissed through his teeth in annoyance, as much as he hated to be proven wrong had he kept his old ideas maybe they wouldn't have hit the big numbers of views or box office bucks as he hoped. "Tch! This is gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth but maybe that nerd actually does know what he's talking about…." He muttered and sighed, "Alright fine I admit it, I was wrong….guess I really do owe him an apology…" he grumbled in annoyance to which everyone smiled feeling happy they managed to resolve that.
After ordering his crew to take the footage to the editing room, they all stepped out to see it was night and as they headed off they found Dr Owen and Patrick both at the nearby fountain.
"What a day!" Spinoberg said as he walked with the D-Team towards him, "In just 24 hours, I've created my greatest masterpiece!" He boasted out with pride.
"Sigh if that that monstrosity gets released it'll be a mess for sure…." Cera shook her head just imagining the chaotic piece it'd be if he used the raw footage as it was.
"Let us know when it comes out." Max told him, "I'd see any movie with dinosaurs in it."
"So will I."
"Me too." Zoe and Rex followed after him.
Cera sighed shrugging her shoulders, "Well if you can't beat them, join them…I guess…." she muttered still feeling weirded out by their tastes.
"You won't be disappointed." Spinoberg assured them grinning with pride before noticing Dr. Owen in front of them, "Oh! Ah, Dr. Owen, I owe you an apology. You were right: the real dinosaurs were much better than my fake ones." He admitted, to which the gang smiled happy to see them starting to make up and reconcile.
"I accept your apology." Dr. Owen replied as he tipped his hat, surprising the others that he resolved things so fast, till he stated the reason why, "Because in all of the commotion going on today, I was able to confess my love to the woman of my dreams!"
"Not this again." Rex groaned knowing it meant his dad ran into the old lady again, the others smiled nervously to see he still hadn't given up on her nor did he get her message that she wasn't into him.
"Next time, Spinoberg, let's make a realistic dinosaur movie based only on fact." Dr. Owen suggested as he held out his hand.
Unfortunately it sparked another another heated feud between them and revitalised their differences of opinion, "What?! I've already decided I'm making a dinosaur comedy romance, complete with musical numbers! Pure box office magic!" Spinoberg smugly smiled and making Dr Owen frown in disgust.
"That's ridiculous!" Owen yelled back at him seeing he hadn't changed in the slightest, "You're a lousy hack!"
"What'd you know about artistic vision?!" the mad director retorted before they started pulling each others faces again and calling each other names like before.
"You're overrated!"
"You're under-brained!"
"I never liked your movies!"
Clearly their newly revitalised argument was more heated and bitter than the one they just resolved.
"There they go again. Should we stop 'em?" Max asked with concern.
"Nah, let them fight it out for a bit." Zoe answered unwilling to break ups that catfight.
It was in the D Team's interests to stay out of the firing line for the time being, while Chomp and Ace mimicking them pulling each others' faces as they continued trading insults through the night.
