A frail, old man, who walks with a cane. Has black, shaggy hair, and his right eye was bandaged , with what appeared to be an x-shaped scar on his chin. He wore a white shirt, with a black or dark grey robe over the top of it covering from his feet, to just over his right shoulder.

The robe conceals his right arm which was bandaged, and covered with three large golden braces.

Addressing the subordinate kneeling Infront of him " what information have you brought to me Hawk" He questioned

Hawk kneeling down answered" Sir after completing my mission successfully , I stumbled across a peculiar sight in the forest 3 miles (4828 KM) from here"

"And what made this sight so peculiar "

"When I investigated closer , it is as if light started breaking and cracking and out of it fell a boy of 11 to 13 years old"

"Breaking and cracking you say?, it would seems a very power tool fell into our laps , bring the boy to me so I may question him " He said with an intrigued gleam in his eye

"At once lord Danzo"

First person P.O.V

Hearing a heavy door being opened I immediately woke up , noticing how different my surroundings are I took a defensive stance , when the door opened completely it was the same guy who knocked me out with the same white masked with animal features.

Looking at him correctly this time his clothes consisted of a white animal mask with a green painted beck at the eye and a black cloak.

"Lord Danzo wishes your presence" He said emotionless 'Lord Danzo?...' I thought " Listen here man I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what's going on here and why you kidnapped me! " I replied angered about the fact he can just walk here nonchalantly not caring how he just basically kidnapped me.

"All your questions will be answered when you come with me " he replied the same cold responses

' what the heck is up with this place ' I thought with a shiver running through my body as I shifted my eyes around me and saw that I was in a small room with nothing in

"Come" He walked out expecting me to follow him and after nervously gulping I followed not knowing what awaits me Infront.

Stepping Infront of a ...frail old man that's all I can say when I see him standing there , waiting for me , starring me down with that cold emotionless black eye I gulped nervously sweating as I approached him, I don't know if he was analysing me or just waiting till I croak over .

"Do you know why you are here boy?" He questioned seemingly out of the blue with the same emotionless tone as the guy before him " uh ..no sir" I replied trying to remain as respectful as possible so I can survive as long as possible.

Noticing he got my full attention "I won't beat around the bush boy , you are at Root base , a division where Anbu Black-ops operations are being performed , you were taken in because of your unique abilities and with our help we hope to help you figure out your abilities and master them for the greater good " After finishing his short speech about my abilities and helping me, I gained a shocked expression . Because as far as I'm concerned, I'm just a normal human being with no special abilities at all.

Thinking that my shocked expression is me being grateful for his help and hospitality he addressed the person behind me " Hawk take him to the training grounds to the others so he can get started on his training there's a lot to be done "

Still stunned and shocked I didn't notice him next to me until he put his hand on my left shoulder and disappeared with me.

After arriving at the training ground I collapsed on my hands and knees and lost my lunch ,and dried heaved for a moment, I asked him exasperated " What the heck was that " still a little sick .

"shunsin" He replied.

'I don't even know what that means ' I thought exasperated " so... what happens now " I asked after finishing and standing up and wiping my mouth with my already filthy clothes.

"You will be instigated at that building over there , there you will be handed your schedule and accommodation, after you're done , you will go to the building next to it and received your weaponry for the remainder of this year and , as a extra precaution you will be watched so let's not get any thoughts of escaping" Hawk explained as cold as always and started walking to the build in the distance not waiting for me to ask anymore questions.

After arriving at the building, well more of a cabin if anything , we walked inside and more guys in white mask was inside seemingly busy with paperwork . Walking to the front desk they asked me my name and age I replied "..Yami , age 12" no last name , with the war going on there was no need for last names you were only known as number in the ranks to either rise or fall , but for my family and I it was easier to escape more easily when no one knows you're relatives.

I received my sheet with cabin 6 on it and followed Hawk to the next building where I received my weaponry, with everything over he lead to me to cabin 6.

"This is where we part ways hopefully we'll never meet again " He said and disappeared in a "shunsin" with my eye twitching I thought ' That guy is so annoying... well I do kinda hate him ' I was getting lost in my thoughts trying to figure out to what just happened as I didn't notice the door open.

"So you're my new housemate huh " shocked I turned and in the door way stood a girl my physical age with black raggedy clothes , brunette hair in a ponytail and brown eyes and sandals , looking at her sandals as I turned towards my bare filthy feet feeling a little depressed I stood up straight and answered " I guess ...I mean they did say I should go to cabin 6 and that hawk guy did bring me here " showing her the sheet for proof she shrugged and turn to walk into the cabin not really caring, I mean it's kinda obviously these guys won't make any mistakes.

Walking in and shutting the door , what I saw inside was big enough to house a small table a kitchen and bedroom, with a door that I'm guessing is the bathroom.

"So...uh name's Yami and uh what's yours " a little nervous I asked the girl likely still being uncomfortable with the whole situation .

"Name's Natsume , you probably wondering what you doing here huh " a smirk graced her lips

"Uh yeah kinda"

"Well you in luck , cause all of a sudden I'm feeling generous, anyway you here because of lord Danzo's " as she rolled her eyes " men caught a whiff of whatever ability you were doing and that peaked their interest"

"WHAT!! what abilities, I don't even have any abilities, I'm normal human being " I exclaimed wide eye panicky

" Well you must have done something "

"I don't know " as I sat down and covered my face with my knees

"Look since we living together how about we help each other out , 2 is better than 1 right " she said feeling a sympathetic towards me while having a small smile

..Sign ." Yeah I guess , thanks Natsume " I gave a small smile back after lifting up my head .

With pleasantries exchange the 2 went on to enjoy each others company more , with her knowing only fish and rice , the dinner was simple but fulfilling .

The next morning

We woke up pretty early when the sun was just on the horizon to meet up with the person that's going to teach us.

As we gotten closer we saw a figure standing at the training ground at two training post , the figure was revealed that he was a young man with auburn coloured hair and amber eyes. He wore a short, black jacket with red straps on the shoulders like all members of Root which most likely shows allegiance to the organisation.He also wore a red short kimono under the jacket with a black sash, a pair of black gloves,dark-coloured pants, and regular shinobi sandals.

'He must be high ranking to be walking around like that ' I thought giving him a glance over.

After arriving he introduced himself as Fū a high ranking Anbu member in the Root division and explain to us he would be our teacher only for a year and half the other half we would working alone together to increase our skills and the last 6 months we would be going on missions making 2 and half years complete.

'...and just when mom didn't want me to be in the army ' I thought with a defeated look

"As you are both older than the standard age of the academy your chakra will be less refined, for now we will be only working on chakra control until I deem you both have acceptable control of it ."

'Man what am I going to do when he finds out I have no chakra ' I thought a little scared sweating.

"Now I want both of you to put your hands in a ram seal like this " as he explained to us how to do it and what to focus on.

Sweating profusely for a moment I finally did as I looked over to Natsume , who had her eyes closed already far a head of me .When I had my hands the correct way after 2 tries I focused on what's inside of me and as I felt a surge of power suddenly building up I let go of it shocked that there is actually energy.

Excited with a wide smile I went back and focused on it again and brought it back out being in a somewhat trance I didn't notice I was building up fast and to much and passed out from exhaustion.

The next day

After sleeping through the whole day and a little embarrassed I passed out , on account with Natsume who kept wearing a smug grin .When she explained to me that she had to carry my dead weight back to the cabin and gone back to training already way ahead of me.

When arriving at training ground with the sun on the horizon we met up with our teacher.

"Now that you're here I believe we won't having any misshapes like yesterday" he said while looking straight at me.

"No sir" as I look down at the ground a little ashamed of myself, I mean come who else wouldn't be excited when you're a normal human being your whole life and suddenly you find out you have power , it's like every human's dream to be special.

"Right since Natsume is ahead of you she will be working on the exercise I showed her yesterday, while you work on getting a hang of your chakra and watching her how she do it. When you get a hang of your chakra I'll explain how the exercise is done " He explained to me emotionless as possible.

Putting my hands in a Ram seal I focused like yesterday but , this time I concentrated on the amount I could use and gradually adding more to it after an hour of concentrating. Finally done Fū after explaining to me how the exercise is done had me do it. Attempting to do it and falling on my head after 3 steps every time I swear I could hear Natsume snickering, but every time I looked over to her she has this innocent face, oh but know I know squinted my eyes at her.

Looking back to the tree Infront of me as I sign I thought this was going to be a long and hard 2 and a half years.
