INTRO:

My name is Emma Morgan, although my friends call me "Em" or "Emme." I'm 18-years-old, have an older sister named Kendall, who's 26, and live in Amber Beach, California. We are the Dino Charge Power Rangers, with our friends Tyler Navarro, Chase Randall, Koda, Riley Griffin, Shelby Watkins, Sir Ivan of Zandar, Prince Phillip III, James Navarro, and Keeper. If you're still counting, that's 11 Rangers! Crazy, right? Even wilder is our team's uniqueness; Ivan is a 13th-century medieval knight, Koda is a Pleistocene-era caveman, Phillip is the current prince of Zandar, and Keeper is a 65-million-year-old alien from the planet Zemoria. Still with me? Good. I'm the Yellow Dino Charge Ranger; I morph using my Dino Charge Morpher with Dino Charger #6. My Zord is the Pteranodon Zord, and I wield a Ptero Bow and Dino Saber; I'm bonded to the Yellow Energem, giving me both its power and the Pteranodon's strength. What else? Right! Kendall, Shelby, and I are more than just Power Rangers; we have an even bigger secret. The three of us are mermaids! No, I'm not joking. And we each have special powers. I have Hydro-Thermokinesis, Pyrokinesis, and Electrokinesis; Shelby has Hydrokinesis, Aerokinesis, and Gelidkinesis; Kendall has Hydro-Cryokinesis, Cryokinesis, and Substanciakinesis. In addition to our elemental powers, we can use telekinesis through our hands and eyes.

DESCRIPTION:

I'm 5'3," have Caribbean blue eyes, and long, wavy, amber-brown hair. As a girly girl, I love wearing dresses, especially embroidered or colorful flower designs, halter tops with shorts, and wedged sandals or sneakers. I wear my hair in a side braid or a ponytail but mainly wear it down with waterfall braids. Since I became a mermaid, I'm never without my silver tear-dropped-shaped locket with a small yellow sapphire. My sister and Shelby have identical lockets, but instead with a gem that matches their Ranger color. Singing, playing the guitar, and songwriting are hobbies that I've always loved to do; it allows me to say things I wouldn't normally be able to say and show how I'm feeling. Sometimes I can be shy, but once I'm on stage singing in front of people, I feel like I can do anything. My ultimate dream is to tour around the world one day, but for now, I'm perfectly happy singing at the café and around Amber Beach.

KENDALL "Kenya" MORGAN: Violet Ranger

Since we lost our parents, Kendall had to raise me as my sister and a mother figure. Even though we are as different as night and day with an 8-year age difference, Kenya and I have a very close bond and relationship. She's confident, blunt, and rarely emotional, with a serious demeanor, while I'm shy, easygoing, sensitive, and empathetic with a cheerful attitude. I have always looked up to her intelligence and honesty. She joins Shelby and I when we sing at the café; that's one of the few places where she relaxes and has fun. Shelby, Kendall, and I became mermaids a few years ago, but unlike us, Kendall is the most cautious about using her powers and took the longest to embrace the change. I often mediate between Shelby and Kendall when they disagree, as my best friend often annoys her. I'm the only one who knows how much Kendall longed to be a Power Ranger; it's a reason for her increased animosity after Shelby bonded to an Energem. I'm the most excited when the Violet Energem bonds with Kendall, finally making her a Ranger, and I love to save the world by her side. Kendall knew about my feelings for Chase before I did; she could see how I looked at him and how much I cared for him. The same is also true for me when Kendall starts to have feelings for James.

CHASE "Ace"/"Hotshot" RANDALL: Black Ranger

I fell for Chase when we met and was drawn to his laid-back, cool, and flirtatious attitude, not to mention that he's very attractive, especially with that New Zealand accent and backward hat. But underneath all that is one of the most kind, caring, and genuine people I've ever met, making me like him even more. He was the first to discover that Shelby, Kendall, and I were mermaids when he accidentally saw me transform, and he was supportive and compassionate, thinking I was more amazing than he already believed. He was entrusted with our secret and helped us when issues occurred. I was reluctant to reveal my feelings, as I felt I wasn't good enough for him and that he might only think of me as his best friend. Of course, this was untrue, as he had the same doubts. Although we became a couple, I had to make a difficult decision to break up with him not long after. He then dated another girl, Kaylee, who became a threat to my secret.

SHELBY "Sheli" WATKINS: Pink Ranger

Shelby and I have known each other our whole lives, are as close as sisters, and fully support each other in our true passions. We love to sing together at the Dino Bite Café and have written many songs over the years. Our lives were forever changed when we became mermaids, causing us to adapt to this new lifestyle. We shared excitement about being Power Rangers and mermaids, but she found it more challenging to keep our secret from the others, especially Tyler. I'm often put in the middle when Shelby and Kendall clashed and helped improve their friendship. As best friends, we were the first to know about our feelings for Chase and Tyler, but she became jealous of my close friendship with him. However, our bond is rock-solid, so nothing will ever come between us.

TYLER "Ty" NAVARRO: Red Ranger

I'm drawn to Tyler's charisma, enthusiasm, and energy; I love that he fully embraces life as an adventure. Though one might think it's more, we formed a close friendship and liked to tease and joke with each other. I could never think of Tyler as more than my friend because he's too much like a brother. Our relationship caused jealousy from Shelby, who had a big crush on him, and while he felt the same but didn't know how to tell her. I have full confidence in Tyler as our leader and know that while he's free-spirited and carefree, his abilities are unquestionable. He knew Shelby, Kendall, and I were hiding something and was the most insistent about finding out; once the secret was revealed, he fully supported us and thought it was awesome. Due to losing my dad, I encouraged Tyler not to give up searching for his dad, but this stems from me wanting a father figure in my life.

KODA "Kody": Blue Ranger

Koda and I are like family; he looks up to me like an older sister. I can always count on his heart of gold, fierce loyalty, and strength. He tended to be protective of me and wanted to see me happy, so he's concerned when this isn't the case. Though naïve about love and romance, Koda could strongly sense how Chase and I felt about each other. Sometimes it seemed like he knew something about our secret for as long as he's known us, but he's still just as surprised as the others. He believed it to be the most magical and beautiful thing he'd ever seen. I helped him adapt to modern-day customs and expanded his English language knowledge; in return, he trained me in strength and reflexes.

RILEY "Ri"/"Riles" GRIFFIN: Green Ranger

While I liked Riley's intelligence and discipline, I sometimes found him too serious and skeptical. He's wise beyond his years but always felt like a little brother. I wish I could be as confident as Riley, but he's told me he'd like to have my free spirit and fun-loving nature. Like my sister, I tried hard to get him to relax and have fun but rarely succeeded. While he's uncertain about our secret because his highly logical brain had trouble understanding it, Riley had many questions and became curious and fascinated, thinking of it as a mystery that must be solved. He quickly figured out my feelings for Chase and encouraged me to tell him, saying it's rewarding to do the things that scare you the most.

SIR IVAN "Iv": Gold Ranger

I'm charmed by Ivan, as I'm attracted to his knightly qualities of finesse and chivalry. Initially, I had a bit of a crush on him, and I'm surprisingly conflicted because of my feelings for Chase. Though this doesn't last long, we still have a close bond. Ivan's kindness, honesty, and loyalty are reliable in any situation. Like Koda, I helped him adapt to the modern world, and he told me tales of life as a knight in the medieval kingdom of Zandar. He taught me to be more proficient with the bow and arrow, and with him, my zord can finally form with a Megazord. Ivan has heard mermaid folklores back in his time, so seeing the legends in real life made him interested in learning more about mermaids.

JAMES "Jamie" NAVARRO: Aqua Ranger

I learned so much about James through his son, Tyler, through the stories he told. James reminded me of my dad, a scientist, and adventurer; this idea strengthened when I finally met him and was eager to know him better. He's shocked by our secret but intrigued and curious about it like any scientist. James believes his scientific expertise may help us answer questions about the moon pool and the Island's mysteries. James developed feelings for Kendall, and I figured this out when he wanted to know more about her. I wanted him to tell her because he and my sister deserve to find someone special.

PRINCE PHILLIP "Phil": Graphite Ranger

I naively assumed that all royals were kind and caring, so I'm disappointed Prince Phillip was arrogant and rude when we first met him. I angrily told him off when he treated us, especially Koda, as if we were beneath him and his status made him better. I appreciated how humble and friendly he became since then. Phillip said he wanted to exceed the expectations of those who look up to him, and hoped to change my opinion of him. Like the others, our secret left him stunned, but Phillip offered any money and resources Kendall may need to further her studies of the Island and the moon pool that transformed us.

KEEPER: Silver Ranger

I looked up to Keeper as our mentor and for his wisdom and knowledge of the Energems. I found him a kind, gentle spirit who got along with anyone; he respected my strength, confidence, and commitment to my friends. When I bonded to my Energem after finding it at the bottom of the moon pool, Kendall and I had to tell Keeper it was because we're mermaids. He didn't share the same shock as the others but said our destinies as Rangers were tied into being mermaids, so it was always meant to be. Keeper revealed he bonded to the Silver Energem millions of years ago, but he's ashamed to tell us how he lost it. Someone evil stole it and then manipulated it so only they could become the Silver Ranger.
