"Heads up! The main unit of the Scout Regiment is back!" Levi holds in a scowl at the cheer knowing how ridiculed they'll be on the return.

"Look! It's Captain Levi!" He turns to the voice that said his name as freeze not because of who said his name but because of the person beside him

'Harry?' The green eyes meeting his conveying a kaleidoscope of emotions for the split second their eyes connected.

"They say he's like an entire brigade unto himself!" He hears some random person shout about him.

"Spare me, please." He mutters, tearing his gaze away from Harry's.

"Well, we are going on five years without incident. Seems like a good omen." He hears the rely of whatever was said, unfortunately for him Four-eyes interrupts.

"So? What was all that about?" Giving the annoyance a glance he debates on how to answer.

"Tch, nothing, what're you going on about? Shitty four-eyes"

"I don't know, but the tension I felt was magnificent, so what's your story with green eyes? Former lover? I knew you liked the sam- ack!" Hange dodges the swipe from Levi, barely catching their glasses.

The sight alone oughta be enough to scare 'em off." He doesn't know who said that but he could care less, he can't believe how little Levi has changed.

'So, this is Hannes' the man who saved Eren and Mikasa.

"Word on the street's, they let you graduate yesterday? Either you've grown up or standards have plummeted."

Grinning at the man's words he starts towards them to introduce himself to someone that is obviously dear to his ward.

"Oh yeah, like you're one to talk!" The indignant voice of Eren makes his grin widen.

"The Corps of Engineers keep their new chief in the drink?" Did he ever tell anyone how much he loves the guts on Eren.

"Watch it." He hears no heat in the man's voice.

"I'm sorry, if this is out of the blue." The man sombers making Harry pause,"But I want you to know your Mom's death still haunts me."

"Me too, but it wasn't your fault. We were shooting

in the dark then. But nothing like that's gonna happen again.We know what we're dealing with now."

'This kid is gonna kill me' he wants to offer the boy his support, but doesn't want to interrupt the sweet moment, coming up behind them and gently ruffing Eren's hair in silent support.

"Fired up and capable make a good combination, kid." Harry agrees with the sentiment, and can feel a fondness for the man growing.

"Ah, who's this, a little friend?" Scratch that he resents the man.

"I'm Harry, I took them in when this shit all started" deciding to ignore the unintentional jab, he hoped was unintentional at least.

"Ah, I see. Got too attached," Hannes says sagely.

"Yup, I mean look at his chubby cheeks and tell me you wouldn't want to protect 'im?" Harry enunciates this by squishing Erens cheeks together emphasizing his adorableness.

Eren just moans in despair, secretly enjoying watching his two adult figures bonding.

"I think your speech yesterday lit a fire under him." Harry hears as he walks up to the group with Sasha he thought it would be amusing to help with her endeavor with stealing the food from the pantry.

"Ain't nobody talkin' to you!" He hears Connie shout in embarrassment, making Harry want to laugh as the man continues indigent.

"His temper tantrum had nothing to do with it." With that he turns his nose up.

"Take it easy. It's not like you're the only one." The 'adorkable' blonde with sideburns says trying to placate the frazzled buzzed head.

"Sasha?" He turns to find the food fanatic salivating over the meat links she is holding.

"Can you guys keep a secret?"

"'Cause I-"

"-We" Harry interjects as he did most of the work.

"-we, just helped ourselves to the Officer's Pantry." Sasha finishes with a manic look in her eyes that makes Harry regret ever agreeing to this.

"Sasha! They can throw your butt in the clink for that!" Mina, he thinks, is her name squeaks.

"Seriously, what is wrong with you?" He hears sideburns shout.

"What isn't wrong with her?" He and Connie say though his is more amused to the younger boys deadpan.

He turns to look for his favorite giant, curious to see how he's feeling?

Harry frowns when he notices Bertolt is missing, he looks for Reiner to ask if he has seen the boy but finds him gone as well.

He distantly hears Sasha proclaim retaining wall Maria, but he's too distracted by the pulsing from the tracker.

The tracker says that Bertolt is right here? So where is he?

"Come on! Don't just stand there." Harry is jolted as the boy Samuel shouts.

"If they see us slacking off, we're in for it. See you guys at lunchtime." With that the boy sprints off to tend to a canon.

Harry sees Eren standing gazing towards the inner wall of Trost. Making his way towards the boy, no you can't call these soldiers boys and girls anymore.

"Has it really been five years?" He hears Eren as he steps up to him.

Facing the outer edge toward where wall Maria is, he swears there is almost like a static building in front of them, it makes him think of that day.

The tracker on Bertolt starts buzzing as he feels a rush of despair and determination course through the boy.

"Look at us." He distantly hears Eren continue as the static increases to where he can see it.

He takes a step towards the edge as he can just make out a stream of something beaming onto the ground before him.

"Ready to stand tall again." The charge increases.

"We can do it." A light that drowns out the sun spears into the ground just as the emotions from bertolt's track reach it's nights.

"Mankind didn't start this fight, but we're gonna finish it!" The words of his brother are drowned out as the loud boom followed by a frighteningly familiar being seems to spawn before them in a flash of lightning and smoke, no steam.

"It's Hot!" He hears someone shout distantly, but all he can do is stare as the tracker shows that the being before him is Bertolt.

'What? How did I miss this?'

As the familiar features register the last thing he hears is the desperate shout of his name before something made of fire slams into his stunned state.

As his body is thrown his last thought is.

"Eren!" Said boy spins seeing Mikasa which makes Eren wilt.

'How do I tell them Harry is dead?' He hates that he wasn't strong enough to save him.

If he had grabbed Harry instead of saving his own skin his brother would still be here!

"Eren? Where is Harry! We heard about the-" Armin's voice stops at the dead look in Eren's eyes.

"No, no!"

"Armin?" Mikasa asks, confused.

"Harry can't be he-"

"-he's different!" Armin finishes correcting himself in front of everyone.

"What. Is. Going. On!" Mikasa growls irritated at being ignored.

"Harry is dead!" Eren shouts not seeing how much that affects everyone that hears.

"Wha-!" Her anger dissipates

"He just stood there! When the Colossal appeared he just stood there!" Eren shouts in anguish.

He can feel Armin's gaze full of shock.

"My body moved on it's own. I saved myself! After all, he's done. I saved myself!"

"I'm useless" he finishes dropping to his knees.

"Stop that!"

"This isn't the time to wallow! Harry wouldn't want us to be sad about his death, Hell, he would want us to laugh at his stupidity" Armin says, his broken tone belying his joke.

"Yeah, Harry wouldn't want us to wallow in his death, hasn't he always said that Death is just another great adventure?" the shaken voice of Jean speaks from behind.

"Yeah, plus he will live on through us, that's what drives us right?"

"Fighting for those who lost their lives"

"if we don't fight then their deaths will be meaningless" sasha states in a serious tone shocking everyone.

"We fight, we fight for Harry!" Connie shouts

"For Harry!" Everyone resonates.

Harry doesn't know how to respond. He just wants to get back, it's always the worst times he goes unconscious.

Before he can ask further he feels a tug in his navel.

As the visage of death disappears he finds himself in a desert-like plain covered with sand as far as he could see. His eyes marvel at the treelike being converging out into the sky.

"Harry?" He spins his eyes widening as he meets the shocked gaze of Eren, who seems older.

'Are those chains!?' On his precious boy's wrist he doesn't understand the situation, but he only cares that his brother is chained like an animal.

Standing beside Eren was a middle aged blonde man, in the distance he could see a little girl pushing sanding into a shape.

"The fuck, Eren can you explain to me? What is happening?"

Soo….! I hope the shock of the ending makes up for the shortness.

Yup since the paths are eternal and instantaneous I feel it would only be appropriate that Harry jacks up the ending by accident.
