Eh, super short on my part, but this was bothering me at work today, so I had to write it.
As the sun started to set on the day, Vert sighed while she looked out the window. Normally drinking some tea helped calm her down when she was feeling anxious, but today all it did was just make her realize something terrible.
She looked at the tablet and a sad smile came to her face as she saw a picture of Rom and Ram with Blanc, the former two enjoying a large cake and a mess going everywhere. She flipped her thumb to the side and saw Uni with Noire and K-Sha, the three laughing at something while eating at fancy restaurant. She flipped her thumb on the screen again and this time she saw Nepgear smiling nervously as Neptune, Peashy, IF, and Compa all held cups of pudding in their hands.
Vert flipped the tablet down and hung her head. Today was always painful for her. Not just because she didn't have a little sister like the other CPUs, but because today was special.
Today was the day that the four CPU Candidates had been born and Vert had found that she never got one.
Vert felt tears falling out of her eyes as she hung her head. "...Is it so wrong that I want a little sister of my own?"
A moment later, there was a knocking at her door and Vert rubbed her eyes to clear the tears away. "Yes?" She said after making sure the tears were gone. "Who is it?"
"Um, Vert..." Nepgear smiled as she walked in, much to Vert's surprise. "I have something for you." She had an envelope with what looked like a card in it.
"Huh?" Vert asked as she took the envelope and opened it up to read the card inside.
Hey, Verty! Neptune here. I know you don't have a little sister, and it's Nepgear's birthday, so... Just this once, you can have her for a couple of days.

Nepgear blinked in confusion as Vert put her hands on her face and started to openly cry. "Vert..?" She noticed the card on the floor and grabbed it to read it before her eyes widened and she realized why Vert was crying. "Well, if that's the case..." She said to herself and stood up and put her hands on Vert's shoulders. "What do you want to do for the next two days... Big Sis?"
The look of sheer joy on Vert's face made Nepgear feel better.
Though she did have to fend off Vert's attempt to further their relationship over the next two days, but seeing the utter look of happiness on Vert's face made it worth it.
