AN: Bonnie comes to realize who is really in her corner, and discovers the root of her attachment to Kol.
Vampire life is an adjustment for Bonnie for sure!
I know I have another song for this chapter but the only one I can think of late at night now that I'm done is this one because, well. You'll see!
Irresistible- by Jessica Simpson
Also, the book I reference is from The diary of Georgia Nicolson series, the main one I remember is called Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging.
Totally recommend that because it's the funniest! Except don't be like me and read it in a public library where you're meant to be quiet, it will make you laugh out loud if you have my sense of humor.
~Inside Bonnie's room~
Bonnie's vampire visage faded slowly. Blood was dripping down her chin and it was a dazzling sight to see, a tantalizing tease of all the times Kol anticipated they'd go on to have. Now that she was his forever. It was almost too good to be true, but Kol was positive it was fate giving Bonnie a break. By gifting her someone who's love was as eternal as he was and who could always protect her in the face of danger as vampire business was no peachy lifestyle. The danger was abundantly omnipresent, especially for a newborn vampire.
Luckily, thank the gods and goddesses, the heavens, and the fates, she had Kol. He was ancient, he'd lived through many ages and as such had much to edify Bonnie in the ways of the natural world as well as the vampire world.
But first, they had some loose ends to tie up. Damon Salvatore and Jeremy Gilbert, were soon to be toast, as Bonnie said.
"I want more," Bonnie declared huskily.
At that declaration, Kol felt his insides churn in a nervous way that was unfamiliar to him, in the way that he'd not felt anything like that since his human days. It was his instinctive way of letting himself know that he was going to love her with every fiber of his being. Alpha and omega, she wants the blood! Bonnie would be no Mary Sue vampire, she already had a healthy appetite for blood. Oh yes, oh God, he knew he was going to love her so much.
"Whatever you want darling, it shall be yours," Kol dabbed at her chin with a cloth napkin. "How does the blood of your enemies sound? Appetizing?"
Bonnie looked at him as if he were mad as a hatter. "You. Your family is my enemy,"
Kol clicked his tongue and shook his head as he dabbed away, gently, cleaning off Bonnie's face. "No my sweet. You are mine now, your family and mine are now one and the same. Your friends? The doppelgänger and her vampire lovers, they're not your true friends. The blue-eyed chump claims to love Elena, yet he'd kill her lifelong friend? As if your life holds less value than his?"
"When Elena finds out what Damon did, she'll be done with him," Bonnie said assuredly. There was no way Elena would let this fly, that's not who she was. Kol didn't look so confident about that as he cleaned off his own face, but that was okay, he didn't know Elena the way Bonnie did. Elena had a pure heart and she'd never let the perverse ways of someone like Damon corrupt her. She was only leaning on him, being lonely after breaking up with Stefan, but all of that would be squashed when she found out what he did to Bonnie. She wasn't worried at all.
"What about your human companion?"
"Oh shit, Jeremy! He's- well, I think he hates vampires,"
"You're done with him anyway. Aren't you?" Kol cupped her cheek and gazed into her eyes. They were a lovely shade of forest green and they mesmerized Kol. She covered his hand on her cheek with her own hand, nuzzling into his touch while squeezing her eyes shut.
"Kol," she said through closed lids.
"Yes, love?" Kol asked leaning closer so his breath was kissing her other cheek.
"I want. More. Blood," Bonnie opened her eyes, glaring at Kol with her vampire mask on full display.
Sucking in a hiss, Kol matched her expression. "As you wish darling. We will pay Jeremy Gilbert a visit when the sun rises. For now,"
Kol took her hand and led her through the walls of the dimly lit Mikaelson mansion. Everything was so vivid with her vampire vision. They passed by a painting of a screaming soul, likely one of Klaus's works and Bonnie could plainly see the crosshatched brush strokes from across the room.
In addition to employing his hybrids as his henchmen, Klaus also employed human staff as security detail and housekeeping. Kol didn't understand why he'd employed so many humans but he was grateful as he compelled a young strapping security guard to follow him and Bonnie into his room.
Initially he was going to select another housekeeper but Bonnie's vampire vision made her notice the human in far too much of a leery way, Kol thought it best he become her next meal instead of object of affection. Bonnie was still a young impressionable vampire and her bloodlust would get entangled with her other emotions until she learned to control it. He decided then and there that all the handsome humans would make the best fit for target practice. These fools endowed with the good looks their genes awarded them were cursed in reality when it came to the wandering eye of Bonnie. Though Kol understood it was a natural curiosity, he aimed to prevent it from going any further.
"Sit. Quietly. Do not utter a sound," he ordered the guard once in his room. "Surrender your weapons,"
The compelled guard did as he was told, quietly. Bonnie was watching in fascination and silent anticipation as her bloodlust ached through her body. A shiver surged through her body as if her pleasure sensors were pinging and she bared her fangs.
Naturally, this excited Kol too, but a lesson was in order. "Retract your fangs," he said, grabbing her chin.
Bonnie complied and glared at him. "Why? Let's drain this bloke! I can sense bad juju all over him,"
Kol narrowed his eyes before he burst out laughing. "Don't you mean guy?"
"No, I mean bloke. Isn't that what you call dudes in England or wherever you're from?"
"My family is Viking, dear. Originally,"
"Whatever. I read it in the diary of Georgia Nicolson. It's got a full ass glossary of all the British words Americans don't understand,"
"We're not British,"
"So why can't we drain him?" Bonnie huffed, showing petulance due to her hunger.
"The first thing you need to learn as a vampire is control. And how to acquire anything you desire of a human or a lesser vampire," he nodded his head towards the guard. "Look into his eyes. Feel it with the power of my blood in you. You are the most utterly beautiful being he's ever laid eyes upon. You are alluring and he can't resist you, and he knows it," he whispered into her ear as Bonnie leaned in closer to the guard's face. Gently brushing the locks behind Bonnie's ear, Kol continued. "Use the power of the allure you wield to pull his mind. Demand it! His mind is in your mind, not the other way around. You are in control, the queen of his heart. The queen of everyone's heart," he murmured, watching Bonnie focus. She was positively captivating.
The guard's eyes were captivated and his pupils narrowed. "He is now yours. State your demand," Kol prompted.
"Tell me your deepest, darkest secret," Bonnie said in a light hum.
"I got into a fight with my girlfriend's brother and he fell into a lake and drowned. I never told anyone, my girlfriend thinks he committed suicide," he stated flatly.
That erotic shiver ran through Bonnie again at that answer. "Can I eat him now?"
"Make sure he doesn't scream," Kol replied. "He'll wake our housemates,"
"Stay quiet," Bonnie said before she sank her teeth into his neck.
"My beautiful, beautiful Bonnie," the Original vampire sighed as he watched his newborn progeny feed with a hunger that matched his own. He wanted her before but seeing her ravenous hunger amplified that desire. He could take her and give into primal passion if he decided to, with no need to hold back as she was a sturdy vampire. That would have to wait, if he gave into the passion now, it'd be weeks before they emerged from his bedroom and Kol had to get his priorities in check. There would be retribution for all the harm and injustice wrought unto Bonnie.
"Come now, love. We have much to do," Kol tugged her away from the nearly drained human so she wouldn't get sick from having too much blood in her system. Drops of blood running down her chin, falling to a spot on her chest broke the composure that Kol has struggled to maintain and he couldn't help but to kiss her.
Rolling his tongue all around her mouth, tasting the blood mingled with the natural flavor of Bonnie was intoxicating in itself. Like an animal in heat, Kol licked at the blood drying on her lips and her chin as he pulled her into his lap and settled on his bed.
He had only meant to kiss her, Kol would later tell himself. But she was his vampire after all, why shouldn't he take the time to get better acquainted with her? Before he knew it, things were getting hot and heavy so Kol ditched his shirt, then helped Bonnie out of her own. She wore a black brassiere that pushed her breasts up, making them appear fuller. As pretty as that apparel was, Kol figured it would look better off of Bonnie.
"My, my. Is that how you've always enticed them into your bed, Kol? By turning them vampire?" Rebekah's irksome voice interrupting them caused Bonnie to flash away from Kol, pressing her back against the wall near his closet. Dammit! He was oh so close to removing the undergarment.
Kol had a mind to dagger his baby sister for her inconvenient timing. But no, he must remain in control, lest Bonnie see him as a bad influence. He snapped his head in the direction of her loathsome commentary. Rebekah and Klaus had appeared in the doorway. Rebekah was smirking at Kol, Klaus's gaze was fixed on… Bonnie.
Let him stare! Klaus should take a good look at the one thing in the world he could never take for himself. Rather than the jealousy that would usually rage through him, a delicious wave of satisfaction washed over him.
"And risk a sire bond with all the gals? All I have to do is gaze upon a girl and they've already fallen in love. I've only ever turned Faith, she is to credit for expanding my bloodline," Kol reminded his daft sister.
Bonnie beamed at that. "You only turned one person? What happened to her?"
"Oh I had to kill her after two centuries,"
Her face fell at that. "Why?"
Klaus smiled and answered instead. "They called it, 'hysteria'. I offered my services, unfortunately Kol wouldn't have it,"
"Gross," Apparently Kol had a jealous streak when it came to Klaus, Bonnie surmised.
Abby strolled into the room, took one look at Bonnie who was still shirtless before she threw her hands up. "Oh hell no, I won't have you perverting my daughter!"
"It's not perversion if she welcomes his attentions," Rebekah said with a chortle.
If this wasn't the most embarrassing thing to happen to her yet, besides being killed by Damon Salvatore of all people! In an instant, Bonnie reached into the closet and replaced her shirt with one of Kol's black Henley's. To Kol's dismay, she tied up the front end in a crop style fashion, effectively wrinkling it. Internally he seethed, but she looked so good, he figured he could spare one very expensive shirt.
"Abby, I'm fine," Bonnie said after looking carefully at her mother.
"You're not fine, you are a fucking vampire!" There were subtle black veins framing Abby's face. Her black eyes and demon voice were gone but those veins had been there since Abby woke. The dark magic that nearly killed Damon Salvatore was still shrouding her soul, that much was clear to Kol.
"I need to speak with my daughter. Alone!" She added when no one budged.
"This is my room," Kol insisted. "And she is my mate,"
Abby's eyes flashed black and the walls began to tremble. "This won't be a room if you don't get out. Right fucking now!"
"Come brother! We must oblige the requests of our guests. However demanding they may be," Klaus said, giving Abby a dark eye.
"And for God's sake, put on a shirt!" Rebekah added.
Kol lept up from the bed and strolled over to Bonnie who was standing near in front of his closet as the tremors subsided. He locked his gaze on her, gluing her to the spot. Looking up at him with her lips slightly parted, Bonnie had the look of one who was terrified as well as curious to fall into his seduction. Kol could feel how tempting he was to her, also sensing her apprehension. His eyes shifted from her stare to the closet behind her, making a silent request.
Bonnie felt all of his silent demands. She turned and pulled out a shirt, matching the one she donned. Kol smirked and took the shirt from her, his fingers grazing her hand. He felt the shiver that ran through her and she lowered her eyes, once again aware that there were others present in the room.
With their gazes finally broken, Kol finally turned to his siblings, each watching him with an envious stare. It had likely been too long for them since they'd had a paramour that was captivatingly enamored of them. Bugger for them, wasn't it?
"Since Bonnie is your vampire now, she can be considered team Mikaelson right? If that's the case, can I kill Elena now?" Rebekah asked, shamelessly loud enough for the entire mansion to hear as Kol followed them out of his room.
"Have you any tact or decorum?" Klaus asked.
"I need to purge my eyes of the scene I've just witnessed. You saw how disturbing that was. I thought their fangs were about to show,"
"You both need to lighten up," Kol said, sighing. "Why don't we throw another ball? There'll be another opportunity for you all to meet your own mate and peel your eyes from mine," he suggested lightly.
"You really think she's your mate, Kol?" Klaus questioned, his brows high in his hairline.
"I know it," was Kol's answer.
~Conversation with Abby~
"Abby," Bonnie began but Abby held a finger to her lips before she lit sage and wafted it all over the room for privacy.
"We can speak freely now,"
"What happened to you?" Bonnie asked, searching her mother's face.
"I don't know, I saw you dead and I found out Damon killed you. That's the one that's been pining after Elena right? Even though she's with his brother?" Abby asked.
"Stefan and Elena aren't together anymore,"
"Something snapped in me, Bonnie! I thought he'd taken away my daughter. I wanted him to suffer for it, that's all I could feel and then I lost control," Abby waved her hand and Bonnie could feel her magic pulsing. It was powerful! And slightly overwhelming.
"Oh my God, that power! Abby, that's stronger than anything I've ever felt. It's… it's dark magic, isn't it?"
Tears welled in Abby's eyes. "I shouldn't have left Bonnie, you wouldn't have ended up in the middle of all this. You wouldn't be a goddamn vampire,"
"It's ok, Abby. Somehow, I think I'll manage. Besides, we can't change what's been done. I'm just going to have to accept it," Bonnie shrugged.
"There's gotta be something. I'm not imbued with all this magic for nothing. I'm going to find a way to save you baby girl. The vampire life is not for you. You've killed two people already!" Abby stomped her foot and to Bonnie, it sounded loud and thundering, Bonnie flinched. Vampire senses would take some getting used to.
"I know, I couldn't help it. I had to feed, I can't explain it. I didn't want to though," Bonnie couldn't put it into words and she hadn't even expressed it to Kol yet, but she didn't want to feed, she just felt that she needed to.
"What do you mean? You had no control over what you wanted to do?"
"I don't know. Maybe it was the initial bloodlust? Or the fact that they work for Klaus, they see a lot of awful things and somehow they still sleep at night," Bonnie guessed.
"Bonnie, they're probably compelled. Don't worry, I'm going to get you out of here and away from this. I will find a way, ok?"
Bonnie nodded, now more than ever depending on her mother to keep her word. She didn't want to be a vampire, much less a progeny to an Original vampire with the most volatile reputation. Though he seemed to have a soft spot for her as he appeared smitten, Bonnie theorized that could change in an instant with the way Klaus had been eyeing her lately. Something about Kol enthralled her and though it was intriguing as a human, being a vampire heightened that sentiment to an alarming plateau. Klaus on the other hand, seemed to be caught in an allure Bonnie had no idea she was exuding. Bonnie, who decided she would rather steer clear of the Mikaelson family drama as being caught in the middle of two siblings who were powerful, monstrous creatures was the equivalent of being stuck between a rock and a hard place. No fucking thank you!
"I've got something for you," Abby said as she patted her pockets. She kept patting, apparently lacking what she seeked. "I think I left it in the other room. Come on. Quickly the sun will be up soon,"
Bonnie followed Abby into the hall. She was walking so fast that Bonnie accidentally used her vampire speed for the first time to keep up. She stopped suddenly and her hair fluttered as it came to its own halt. "Whoa, that was wild," Bonnie looked around and realized she was in the room she'd awakened in. Abby rushed in.
"Did you see that?"
"Yes, sweetie, we all know vampires can move very fast," Abby mumbled. When Bonnie looked hurt, Abby quickly added, "but that was very impressive, baby girl! It's like taking your own… first… vampire steps,"
Abby donned a hopeful smile, to which Bonnie rolled her eyes, as the killjoy had already ruined her excitement. "What are we looking for?" Bonnie asked.
"Probably this," The baby vampire whipped her head to find Kol holding up a ring with a blue jewel in its crest. Lapis Lazuli, the daylight ring. It wasn't bulky or ugly, it was beautifully adorned. Internally amused that all the other vampires got an ugly ring and her mama made her a pretty one, Bonnie zipped over to Kol.
"Give it to me," she demanded, avoiding his gaze to fixate on the hollow round.
Out of the corner of her eye, Bonnie noticed Abby fold her arms across her chest as she watched this exchange intently. Feeling self-conscious, Bonnie resolved to avoid looking into that alluring amber gaze so she wouldn't be affected.
"Don't you play wit her. Give her the ring!" Abby insisted.
"Bonnie," Kol dipped his head in an effort to ensnare her in the very stare Bonnie tried so hard to avoid. She attempted a scowl at him when she met his gaze, only the longer she looked, her face softened. Then Kol smiled at her, a look that threatened to drench her underwear and she couldn't look away.
"Allow me," with his vampire speed, Kol dropped to one knee, placed the ring on the middle finger of her left hand, before he stood up and slithered behind Bonnie. He grabbed her hands, placing her right hand on her abdomen, under his own, while lifting her bedazzled hand to rest on his cheek as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, too low for Abby to hear. "Bonnie,"
She shivered as he continued. "Now it's official. Vampires mates for life, you know,"
His breath warmed and tickled her ear. He filled her with so much desire, Bonnie wasn't certain she could contain it.
Abby was confused at the display because one second Kol was standing in front of Bonnie, the next, he was embracing her from behind in a loving gesture. "Get away from her!" Abby said, marching over and pulling Bonnie from him.
Kol just smirked as usual and lingered his hold on Bonnie's hands as Abby pulled her away. Regretfully, Bonnie wiggled her fingers loose and watched as Kol's hand slowly fell. His head was tilted downward but his eyes looked up to watch as Bonnie was led away by her mother.
"We're going home, none of you better fucking call us with your bullshit!" Abby yelled on their way out.
~Gram's house~
"Come in babe," Abby said, holding the front door to Gram's open. Bonnie was glad to be out of the early morning sunlight as it was ten times more bright, she needed sunglasses and it was still too bright for her sensitive eyes.
Bonnie closed the door behind her but as soon as she did she heard a knock on it. "Who's that?" She asked Abby, who shrugged.
"I don't know anybody 'round here anymore. It's for you. Probably that fuckin vampire. Don't invite him in."
Abby changed her mind when Bonnie's eyes shifted nervously. Bonnie had a feeling that Kol would enter whether or not she wanted him to, and Bonnie wouldn't mind, even if she did mind.
"I'll get it, you'll melt all over him," she said with a huff as she strode towards the door.
When she opened it, Damon Fucking Salvatore and -Elena?- were standing on Gram's porch.
"Oh no. Not you two," Abby said.
"Please I just wanna see Bonnie, make sure she's ok," Elena implored with huge, sad eyes.
Bonnie stepped up behind Abby. "Why did you bring him here?"
"She's been crying all night about you," Damon answered, rolling his eyes. "I just wanted to show her that you survived, you're in one piece,"
Bonnie locked Damon in a glare. "Abby, will you go make me some tea, please," she said quietly.
"Of course, but you better let them have it!"
When Abby left, Bonnie turned her glare on Elena. "You spent the night with this," she looked Damon up and down in disgust. "Murderer?"
"Bonnie, it's not like that, I was so worried about you and I couldn't find you anywhere. Damon was just trying to comfort me-"
"He killed me, your supposed best friend and you went to him? For comfort? How could you let him comfort you, after what he did to me? To your brother? And Vicki?"
It may have been the tangible vampire senses but Bonnie felt like she was seeing Elena through brand new eyes. Letting Damon, the one who's caused so much pain & chaos in their lives comfort her after he did this to Bonnie. Was nothing sacred to this girl?
"Do you even care about me at all?" This felt, heartbreaking. Realizing her best friend didn't give a shit unless she had a man by her side who'd risk it all for her definitely hurt. Even her friends, family, no one was safe.
"Of course she does, don't be ridiculous," Damon replied in his usual languid fashion. Bonnie grabbed a nearby umbrella. "Elena just-"
She shoved the umbrella through Damon's abs, impaling him. "No one is talking to you!"
"Ahhh!" He grunted, falling over.
Elena gasped. "Bonnie, stop! This isn't you! You aren't this hateful, you're full of love and light," she cried.
"Did you think I would take his shit forever? He killed me, Elena! What if I didn't have vampire blood in me? What if Jeremy didn't have his ring? You would still defend him, wouldn't you?"
Elena didn't answer, she couldn't; just stared at her with beseeching eyes. Abby walked up behind Bonnie. "Your tea is ready, baby girl. And Elena, in case it wasn't obvious, this is your cue to get the fuck off my porch and stay away from my daughter. Your vampire boyfriends too. All of you, get out, NOW!"
Bonnie was pulled back as Abby's powers simultaneously slammed the door and a whoosh of wind forced Damon and the doppelgänger off the porch.
~Bonnie's room at Gram's~
It had been three weeks since Bonnie had seen Kol and simultaneously exiled Elena from her life. She wouldn't see Stefan, or Caroline either and she had no desire to speak to Jeremy. The only person she could relate to that hated vampires as much as Bonnie and was a vampire himself was Tyler. Well a vampire-werewolf hybrid but a vampire nonetheless. He'd adjusted to his transition quickly due to his experience with being a wolf.
A lot of people didn't know what a good friend he actually was since he acted like an ass the majority of his time. When Bonnie called him, he'd come as quick as his schedule allotted, inviting her to stay at his parents' vacation home in a wooded area, where he'd come everyday to help her get the hang of feeding and compelling their victims to forget. Bonnie just wanted to be free from everyone and everything while she learned the ropes of being a vampire without Kol's lusty influence, or Caroline's bossy attitude. Though she still didn't want to feed on humans or hurt anyone she instinctively felt the need to feed. So she used compulsion.
Tyler didn't bother her with the latest gossip over the gang looking for her, though he did admit that Elena was now seeing Damon. Other than that he didn't want to trouble her with news she didn't care to hear. After three weeks, on their last day there, Tyler had to let Bonnie leave first so he could wash his scent off of her. If the Originals found out she was off with him, Klaus would have him killed for being out of touch with the very witch he was seeking, Kol would kill him in a jealous rage just because he was enamored of Bonnie.
One thing he did do was give Bonnie Klaus's cellphone number before they parted. Feeling all sorts of dramatically mournful, she put on a black lacy top and a black pencil skirt, as well as a black veil. Black was the appropriately hued attire to mourn the life she knew she had to say goodbye to. She wanted to bid everything adieu and start somewhere new, after she tied up one last loose end. Knowing full well she may regret the call because who knows what Kol would do when she just popped up after being MIA for weeks, she dialed Klaus's number when she got home to Grams.
"Who is this?" Was Klaus's rude ass greeting.
"Where's Kol?"
"Miss Bennett!" Klaus's voice changed to a pleasantly surprised one. "We've been looking all over you! I must say I'm flattered you've reached out to me rather than Kol. He's been on with his foolish notions about how you are his vampire. What can I do for you, love? Kol is out at the moment, likely looking for you,"
"I'm not your love, I- I just wanted to tell him, he was right. Elena's not my friend after all," Bonnie admitted out loud for the first time. "She's with Damon,"
Bonnie heard him mumbling something in the background, away from his receiver, before he spoke again.
"Oh, we all saw that one coming, dear. Why, that strumpet and the dolt were seen canoodling yesterday at the Mystic Grille, for all the town to bear witness,"
Bonnie gulped. It still hurt so much, she and Elena were womb buddies, they were sisters! At least they were supposed to be.
"Yeah well, I didn't, ok? I thought she was better than that. But anyway, I didn't mean to bug you or interfere with your world domination agenda. I just wanna be left alone now,"
"Bonnie, you sound like you're in need of better company. Why don't you come to the mansion? I'm a great listener. You can tell me all about your newfound troubles. I can spare a night of world domination plans,"
"I'm not going near any of you Originals, ever again. In fact, I'm going away. I don't want you or Kol to l-"
A human in the background on Klaus's end said, "We got her sir. Here's the address,"
Bonnie gasped in horror. "You're tracing my call?!"
"Nonsense, sweetheart, I'll pick you up right now and we'll talk it over," the line disconnected and Bonnie knew she had mere minutes before Klaus showed up at her doorstep. She dashed to her closet, pulled out the most comfortable shoes she could find, never mind they didn't match her outfit. She could always compel new shoes later. She started packing a bag but then realized, she was a vampire, she didn't need anything she couldn't compel later. She even ditched her cellphone since it could be traced, but not before she used vampire speed to send a text to Abby that she was going on the lam.
Speeding downstairs, she was about to fling the door open and rush outside when she heard the doorbell ring. Not even three fucking minutes had passed! She froze, terrified that if she moved an inch, Klaus would hear her.
"Bonnie! Bonnie, it's me!" She sighed with relief when she realized it was Jeremy, the abusive boyfriend she had yet to confirm her break up with. He would only stall her and he sure as hell wasn't worth it. So she sped out of the back door only to slam into a leather jacket. Klaus!
"Steady, now," Klaus grinned down at Bonnie as he circled his hand around her waist.
"Oh my God," She whimpered, feeling his arousal at such proximity, as his smile widened and he zipped away with her.
~Klaus's room~
"So your eyes have been opened to the duplicitous nature of the infamous Petrova doppelgänger," Klaus said as he handed Bonnie a drink.
"I really should be going," Bonnie replied, nervously. She put the drink down.
"Stay," Klaus compelled.
"That dun't work on me. I'm not new at this, I'm on vervain."
"Then what's this between you and Kol?"
"What do you mean?"
"When it comes to my brother, you're very agreeable. One might even attribute that sort of behavior to a sire bond but- well, that wouldn't happen unless it were love at first sight," Klaus chuckled as if the notion was too far fetched to even consider.
"What's that?"
"It only happens when you harbor romantic feelings for the vampire who made you as a human," Klaus stepped closer. "Did you?"
At that moment Kol burst through the door. "That's enough. Step away from her, Nik!" He ordered.
"Not until she answers the question. Being tethered to a sire bond with you would give you an unfair advantage over her free will," Klaus said to Kol as he bore into the baby vamp's green eyes.
"Bonnie, don't. Ignore him,"
Bonnie felt helpless, she wanted to tell Klaus that yes, that was exactly what was going on. That would explain her behavior with Kol when she first turned. It was a stroke of luck she'd gotten away until now. But she couldn't express that, something inside her told her it would displease Kol so she remained silent, snubbing Klaus.
"What's the matter, Bonnie? Cat got your tongue? Or is that Kol?"
"Leave me alone," Bonnie folded her arms and cast her view to her feet.
Satisfied, Klaus backed up. "I think that's your answer, love. This fool is controlling you with the sire bond. But do not doubt, that will not stop me from getting what I want," he walked up to Kol with eyes that challenged. "I don't care if your blood runs through her veins, she's not yours,"
"You have a traitor amongst your hybrid camp," Kol responded with a glare.
"What are you talking about?"
"Go find out yourself!" Kol shouted.
Bonnie couldn't handle the shouting, it rang in her ears. She clamped her hands over her ears and sank to the floor.
A call came through on Klaus's cell. Kol glared at Bonnie as she crouched on the floor.
"I have to go now. But Bonnie, you don't have to be captivated. You can break the sire bond," Klaus said. "Then you'll be fair game,"
Fuck all this! Bonnie was not a toy to be thrust between two quarreling siblings.
"You'll stay away from Bonnie, Nik. Or so help me, I'll-"
"You'll what?" Klaus asked, all up in Kol's face. Kol didn't say anything, he was just angrily heaving. The hybrid smirked in a 'that's what I thought' kind of way before he left the room.
~Kol officially claiming Bonnie~
After Klaus left, Kol's chest slowly stopped heaving. Bonnie was still shaken from Klaus's words. The fact that he had no respect for Kol as the vampire who made Bonnie, worried her. Not that Bonnie would go near Klaus but what lengths would he go to, in order to get to her? Would he dagger Kol? Use the last white oak stake on him?
Kol took a deep breath and turned to Bonnie, flashing brown eyes peering mournfully into her emerald gems. "Answer me, honestly. Did you fancy me when we met? You were drawn to me, right as I was to you?" He stared at her, searching her face for signs of affection.
"Yes," Bonnie answered, nearly against her will. Fuck! She stood up slowly.
"And now? How do you feel about me now?"
"I can't help it, something pulls me to you, and I've been trying to fight it but it's so strong," This bomboarding of questions was an act of contravention against her archive of thoughts she wanted to keep to herself. Bonnie took a step back, wanting to break his gaze, yet the compulsion to answer to his requests kept her eyes fixed on him. This is why it was easier to have a conversation with Klaus, he had no way of purloining her innermost thoughts, not with her on a daily dose of vervain.
"Why fight it? Why do you resist me?" Kol pressed as he inched forward, continuing to encroach on her space.
"I'm scared, Kol," Bonnie said under her breath, shaking her head slowly.
"Of me?"
"Of the way you make me feel,"
"Sweetheart, I only want to make you feel complete, whole. Tell me, when you kissed me, what did you feel?"
"Like I just wanted to get lost in you. Why are you making me tell you this? I never planned on telling you any of this," Damn him invoking the sire bond to pilferconfidential information out of her! This was an injustice!
"If that is true… Bonnie… Tonight, I would love it if we could take this relationship to new heights," Kol declared, taking Bonnie's hand. "No better time than now. No one else is home."
"What about the guards?" She asked as he led her to his room.
"Off duty for the night," he flashed her a wink. "I compelled them all to leave while Nik retrieved you,"
He held the door open for her. As soon as the baby vampire stepped inside his room, Kol removed his shirt, requesting that Bonnie remove her skirt.
"Straight to it, huh?" She shimmied out of her skirt and kicked it off before she leaned back on Kol's bed. Bonnie fathomed that she could handle sex. Vampire sex had to be on the list of the things she ought to try once in her life as a human, she could only guess that as a vampire the allure of it would be intensified. Sire bond aside, Bonnie was not ashamed to admit she wanted Kol badly since she'd first laid eyes on him, despite Jeremy. Fuck Jeremy!
Kol kissed her lips before he gently nudged her to lie on her back. "Lie down, darling," Then his hands slid down her body to separate her legs.
"Even for a vampire, your first time; this is going to hurt," He stated, holding her legs open. "I fear I must warn you," he added when she glanced around nervously.
"Why don't you just be gentle?" Bonnie asked, wondering how vampire sex could hurt when she'd already shed her maiden barrier as a human.
"No," Kol smiled as he donned a mischievous smile. "The pain is what makes it so special. And memorable. And you mustn't beg for me to stop. Understood?"
Before Bonnie had an opportunity to agree or protest, he slithered down her form and began dropping kisses on the inside of her thighs. This didn't hurt at all, instead commissioned her body to ache with desire. Kol positioned both legs around his neck, making them cross behind his back, a move Bonnie would soon figure out was indeed strategically calculated.
Bonnie wasn't sure of how vampire sex would be different from human sex and didn't understand why it would hurt. Wasn't it supposed to feel good, ten times better? Sex with Jeremy was never the greatest but it had stopped hurting the more she'd gotten used to it.
But Kol was swiping tongue circles along her inner thighs and it was a very pleasant sensation, just building up her desire.
Suddenly his tongue was replaced with fangs, piercing her femoral artery. It started off akin to blood-sharing pleasure when the pain suddenly took hold. Bonnie jerked, taken by surprise as the pleasure sensation all but disappeared and was replaced with piercing pain.
"Ow Kol, stop," she said, trying to push his head away. "I don't wanna do this anymore,"
Kol tightened his grip and clamped down with so much force, somehow biting harder when Bonnie began to resist.
"Get off! Ahhh!" Something in his fangs began to sting the puncture sight. In her mind she began screaming, begging for him to stop, but she found herself unable to verbalize her silent demands.
"Mm, Kol, st- STOP! … Oh my God! Ahhh!" She screamed, she couldn't help it. In the back of her mind, Bonnie was fuming at the irony that Kol chose to do this when no one else was home. That calculating fucker! Klaus would never have let him hurt her so! The sting began to course through her veins and Bonnie wailed an agonizing moan that may have sounded pleasurable to anyone who would have been listening. This was certainly not the case.
As Bonnie resisted and tried to push him off, he grabbed her hands in a hold with one hand, the other hand firmly holding her legs down around his neck. With his powerful Original strength, Bonnie was helpless to his hold as Kol growled and forcefully drained her sanguine elixir until she stilled. He then released his hold on Bonnie and ascended up her form in a flash, pressing his neck to her mouth.
"Bite me, now!"
A sudden burst of strength propelled Bonnie to pierce his carotid, instantly, and only then did she find relief in the pain she felt as his blood entered her body and soothed the blazing path his vigorous evocation had left behind. Her body was becalmed, floating in a pleasure that went beyond the scope of blood sharing. Initially wanting to rip Kol a new asshole, those feelings dissipated as her ecstasy mounted.
In the course of about two and a half minutes, Kol bequeathed a scorching pain unto her, only for it to dissolve into a sweet, gentle rapture. Each were the likes of sensations so powerful, she couldn't even begin to comprehend.
Kol didn't tell her it could be like this. He only warned her about the pain. After she nearly drained him she noticed how he was much better at handling the pain. She suspected that's why she was up first, he had a higher threshold for the agony. Bonnie offered him her neck but he kissed her mouth instead, biting down on her lip. He only took a little bit of blood, likely being so caught up in her kiss at the same time the exhilaration flowed through him, replacing his moment of agony.
As much as that hurt, being with Kol was undeniably euphoric. He captivated her in a way that she had no desire to be released from. Every kiss, every touch lit her body on fire in a way that wasn't even possible with Jeremy. She wanted to blame the sire bond but once Kol floated into her orbit -or was it he who had pulled Bonnie into his orbit?- the pull was magnetic. Even if she was still human, she realized she wouldn't be able to pull herself away.
When Kol released her to catch her breath, he laid down on his back, settling Bonnie's head to rest on his chest. They lay there in silence for about fifteen minutes, their bodies physically exhausted.
"So, are you going to 'shag' me now?" Bonnie finally asked, looking up at him.
"You and your Brit terminology," he chuckled. "You know I'm not actually British?"
"But you sound like it! Everything you say is British,"
"True, only because I had to adapt to it as we fled from my father. I've learned many other languages since then, though my native language is dead to me," he said thoughtfully.
"I know some Latin because it's in all my grimoires. I know some Spanish too. Vamos a hacerlo,"
"You are the embodiment of temptation, aren't you, love?" He sighed, wrapping his arms around her. "I realize I may have misled you when I mentioned I wanted to take our relationship to new heights."
"Yeah I was definitely expecting sex, not to have my leg tortured and fire flowing through my veins. After the fact though, I'd say it was totally worth it."
"Had I known you were on the pull, we'd be in the throes of passion this very moment. However, our bodies are in need of rest after what we've just done, exhaustion will soon overcome us both. We'll need to feed properly as well in the morning."
"What did you do to me? What are you doing to me, Kol?" Bonnie reached up and tugged softly on his hair. "Besides driving me fucking mad over you?"
"What we've done to each other," Kol corrected. "It's a sort of mating ritual, only it's not sexual, but the most intimate thing a vampire can do. We've marked one another as eternal mates,"
Bonnie's eyes and mouth formed big O's at that revelation. She sat up. "Don't you think we're moving a little too fast?" Her eyes scanned the room for whoever the fuck said she was ready for an eternal relationship with a guy she just met. Because it sure as hell wasn't her. "I didn't agree to this, I barely even know you!"
"I might have gone mad if we hadn't. If Nik oversteps again," he admitted, trailing off. "Bonnie, I only want to protect you from him, this is the only way I could think to do that,"
"Don't mention him, I'm here with you. You could have at least warned me," Bonnie snapped with a huff. This fucking vampire and his tricks. He was as bad as Klaus!
"I did warn you," his expression turned dark as he reached for her. "I told you the night you turned when a vampire chooses a mate, it's a forever thing, love. Consider yourself formally warned,"
Bonnie glared at him. "You didn't give me a chance to choose you!"
"You squandered that opportunity when you accepted my offer of blood just now,"
"You didn't tell me that either!" Bonnie shoved him away, sick of his mind games. In an instant she was on her back and Kol was pressing his lips and tongue into her mouth. His kiss was irresistible as she felt his wanton desire for her, which incited her own to bubble to the surface. She whimpered and sighed against his mouth, knowing her white flag revealed her surrender.
"Darling you want me, as I want you," He said between kisses. "Your human notions regarding the timing of courtship are what have you prolonging the inevitable, but I can taste it all over you, Bonnie. It was necessary to keep you by my side. When a vampire knows, they know. Stop fighting it,"
Kol leaned back and just peered at her, with inquisitive eyes.
Bonnie sighed. As much as she wanted to fight him on this, she knew it was pointless, fatigue was creeping into her senses. "I was wondering why you said first time. I've already had sex. How often do you plan on doing that to me?"
"To each other." He repeated. "Every few years, as often as the urge arises to strengthen our bond. And yes you have but not with me. Not yet. We'll get there and when we do, you'll understand that you've never quite known pleasure the way you will with me,"
"Is it always going to hurt so much?"
"No, over time the pain becomes pleasure. Only the mark will never fade." Kol looked down, spreading her knees to take a gander between her legs. "Oh yes, I've got you good," he smiled, pleased with his work. "It's quite poetic, isn't it? To give yourself to someone in such a way, it begins tremendously painful. Because love is painful. And you come to realize if anything would ever tear us apart, the pain of this ritual would dull in comparison, being that we've created a bond that consumes us from within."
Bonnie raised a brow as Kol sighed, lost in thought. "That's so morbid. Even more so is the fact that I understand exactly what you mean," she murmured. Damn Kol and his intense emotions. Why couldn't he just let them fall for each other naturally like a normal relationship?
"Only you could, as my sentiments are not for another to comprehend," he looked at the clock. The time read eleven forty-seven pm. "I best get you home now. Your mother has made it clear she will hex me for at least five hundred years should I fail to act as a gentleman."
"I won't tell her about your love bite then," Bonnie whispered, grinning a mischievous smile. "That's another British term. I read that in Georgia's diary,"
AN: I definitely stole that 'my beautiful beautiful' line from Druig because I seen Eternals recently & Druig and Makkari are my new everything
And I'm not sorry!
Kol will realize that Bonnie's path will lead her to him if she wants it to, without him manipulating her out of every other path. He just doesn't know how to act because Klaus ruins everything.
Also the parts where and Kol and Bonnie steal each other's banter lol and I really love the teaching moment about compulsion, I've only seen a few of those moments on True Blood.
Please read, share, add comments or kudos (I love hearing what y'all think!) and let me know if your enjoying it, if Kennett still has your support here.
I will read back and correct any errors, forgive me I'm in need of proper sleep because of an adorable little heathen lol
