AN: Lexi gives Bonnie some advice and Elena finds out her little brother is no angel, and gets properly read by Kol
I feel like the Jeremy abuse content requires more of a warning, so here it is: be warned lol Jeremy was abusive. Tags will be updated.
Technically so is Kol, taking advantage of all those lusty newborn vampire urges and his refusal to let Bonnie have her own free will. Not that he doesn't truly care for her, he just needs a lesson in "act right" which will be the lesson upon him as he learns more about Bonnie and Jeremy's tumultuous relationship.
Stay tuned for my rant at the end, but please read, share, add comments or kudos and remember that if there are any errors in grammar or continuity, I will be on it like a snake to a mongoose (or vice versa, I don't know snakes or mongooses) as I read this back

~ Biting Jeremy ~
Not quite understanding how she couldn't tell before, Bonnie felt all the negative energy surrounding Jeremy as she sucked his sanguine fuel down. He was a bad seed and she was going to drain him. The bloodlust often overcame her when Bonnie felt bad juju from those she drank from.
"Bonnie, you can have my blood. All of it," Jeremy rasped.
That stopped her in her tracks. "You want me to drain you?"
He nodded. "Please, take it all,"
Bonnie thrust him away from her and stood up. "I should kill you for what you've done to me," she snapped. She grabbed a paper towel and wiped her mouth off, suddenly disguised by his blood. The fact that he was so willing felt very suicidal and uncharacteristic of him:
"Please! I deserve it,"
A hard side-eye graced her features as Bonnie wondered what had gotten into him. Her phone rang and she saw it was Kol calling.
"What is this?" She said into the phone when she answered.
"Another gift, love. Since you sent our darling Tiki away. I thought you'd be delighted,"
"Kol, no,"
"Did you see the attire she donned? I thought her declaration of chastity was a falsehood. Did you know that?"
"Stop it! I'm letting him go, this isn't right. He's Elena's little brother,"
"Bonnie, love. I told you we were due to pay him a visit weeks ago, don't you remember?"
"Jeremy, get out of here," Bonnie said as she hung up her phone.
"No," he shook his head. "I want you to have every last drop of my blood because you deserve it, Bonnie. I was awful to you and I need to pay for that.
"Go!" She demanded, sucking him into her compulsion.
"I can't. I have to give you my blood,"
"Oh my God, what the hell?!" Bonnie marched over to him and tried again to compel him. "Go to class, Jeremy!"
But he wouldn't budge.
"That's part of my gift," Kol said from the doorway. "I compelled him to complete his task of offering you his blood by not permitting you to refuse him. He won't go away until he's dead,"
"You're sick,"
"But I have a better idea," he walked over to Jeremy, compelling him again. "Sit down. Enjoy the show,"
Jeremy watched them, confused as Kol went up to Bonnie. Kol pulled her chin up, then glanced at Jeremy, wearing a wicked smile. He kissed Bonnie while Jeremy shrieked.
"What the fuck! That's my girlfriend!"
Kol and Bonnie turned towards him; Bonnie was clearly captivated by the Original vampire. "Oh, she is? Well, you don't mind, do you, mate?"
He kissed Bonnie again, deepening his kiss. Bonnie almost felt bad when she heard Jeremy crying out In objection, at the same time she knew it was Kol wanted, therefore she wanted it too. Jeremy would just have to suffer through watching another man have access to his girl.
Kol whispered in her ear so it was no surprise when he pulled off her cardigan and said loud enough for Jeremy to hear, "I want you now, on this table,"
"NOOOOO!" Jeremy screamed. "Bonnie, PLEASE stop, don't do this!"
"No more talking, you're upsetting the mood," Kol demanded with compulsion. Now Jeremy could do nothing but watch and silently weep.
"Kol, stop," Bonnie said, suddenly finding her voice.
"But the torment would be divine. You don't want to torment the boy?" Kol asked.
She nodded. "Fine," in a huff, he strolled over to Jeremy. "Go to class. No longer will you offer up your life or blood to your girlfriend, either. Also, you may resume speaking when your studies conclude for the day,"
Jeremy's beseeching eyes caught Bonnie's as he headed towards the door.
"Don't worry about your girlfriend, mate! I'll see to her," Kol called after the boy.
"Why would you do that, Kol? I don't wanna hurt Jeremy!"
"Call it a hunch if you will, but I've a feeling he's hurt you more than you're willing to let on. Why do you think I want him helpless and tormented?"
Bonnie said nothing, just gathered her book bag and cardigan. Kol followed her out of the classroom. "Don't you think we should discuss that?"
"I really don't," she made her way to her locker with Kol in tow. He watched her as she put her books inside before he closed it suddenly. "What are you doing?"
"Come with me," he said, taking her hand.
~ The falls ~
"What are we doing here?" Bonnie asked when he led her to the waterfalls at the edge of town.
"I want you to tell me about your relationship with Jeremy Gilbert," he said, cupping her chin up towards him.
Oh God, no.
Bonnie tried to turn away but Kol held onto her shoulders. "You'll kill him,"
"I could always let you do it," he suggested. "He's hurt you terribly, hasn't he?"
She nodded, keeping her eyes down. "Has it always been this way?"
There wasn't any way she could keep the truth from leaking if Kol requested it of her. Only he didn't request, he softly demanded her innermost secrets.
"No, he used to be so sweet. He changed when I brought him back," Kol narrowed his eyes. "He was shot, mortally wounded. With the help of my ancestors, I brought him back. He became sort of a medium, he could see people on the other side. One person he saw was his ex-girlfriend, a vampire who died a couple of years ago." Bonnie explained.
"Intriguing. Does he still possess this ability?"
"He learned to control it, but yes,"
Kol searched her face, tilting her head up to face him again. "Why did you bring him back?"
"I- I thought I was in love,"
"You thought?"
"It was a mistake. When I found out about Anna, his vampire ex, I tried to leave him but he got a little crazy,"
"Are you saying he and a ghost-"
Bonnie nodded, with tears in her eyes. This was awfully and embarrassing, quite personal too. Who gets cheated on with a ghost and then forced to stay with their dude? Who's life is that shitty? Mine, that's whose, she thought.
"What did he do?"
Unable to answer as vivid memories of the rape and assault she was subjected to at the hands of her so-called boyfriend blitzed her mind, she began to break down and cry. Kol pressed her against his chest, encircling her in his arms. "You don't have to say it, love," he closed his eyes and entered her mind, knowing it was invasive but he needed to find out what this trauma was.
It blew his mind, with memories of all that she'd been through, from her perspective. Her first time with Jeremy, was rape. The time behind the bleachers that Tiki had callously mentioned, rape as well. The night he met her, same thing. In fact, most of the times they'd engaged in the act was rape and the marks he'd witnessed on her arms and back while she was in transition were also because of the Gilbert boy.
"Good lord," he sighed as he opened his eyes. "He deflowered you with rape . I should have observed as much,"
"Oh my God," she shuddered. "You're going to kill him, aren't you? No, no, Kol please don't!"
She was hysterical, begging him to reconsider. He could not and he didn't want to lie to her. Jeremy Gilbert was to meet his end, when the time was right. The only thing keeping him alive was the fact that Bonnie had shed light on his medium abilities. The blonde vampire that Nik was fond of was Bonnie's friend, he would need to find out who sired her in order to keep her friend safe and a medium was the perfect way to trace her bloodline for the fact that many vampires went on to sire unknown progenies before meeting their permanent deaths. In an effort to calm her down, he had to invoke the sire bond.
"Bonnie, Bonnie, calm down. His fate was sealed from the moment he laid his disrespectful fingers on you. Your friends will die too, for letting such a crime go unpunished." Pools of regrets drizzled down her cheeks as she looked up into his blazing brown eyes. "I want you to be at peace with that," he said softly, but resolutely.
Her cries came to a gasping stop. A moment ago, the thought of Jeremy Gilbert dying at the hands of her Original vampire rendered her completely distraught and immense guilt coursed through her body. Now, the feeling calmed her. It didn't matter that he was Elena's little brother, the fact that he'd been so awful was the bed he'd made for himself; he'd have his final resting place in it. Grateful she was to Kol for easing her mind.
Kol wanted Bonnie in the worst way, only he understood he had to be patient and gentle with her. Two things he was ordinarily not, he would've had her every night since she'd become vampire if she hadn't taken her impromptu vacation. He preferred to skip the sentiments and dive into wild, feral passion when it came to sex, the more untamed the better it was. Yet it was an untamed lust that had deflowered Bonnie's immaculate design, cracked her pearl. In the walls of her sex, there was terror and brutality, no joy or passion to be found, as it was for Kol.
One thing Bonnie had yet to understand was that she affected him as much as he affected her. He'd meant to taunt the boy with his taking of Bonnie before his eyes before he killed him, only when Bonnie asked him to stop, he found he couldn't refuse her. It frustrated him to no end, yet if he had killed him as planned, he wouldn't have discovered the deeper end of his atrocities and he may have coerced Bonnie into another entirely traumatizing sex crime. Additionally, he wouldn't have found out his ability to see the dead. She definitely wanted him as he wanted her, but the negative repercussions of moving too fast in this particular situation flashed before him like red flags. He would ensure when he bedded her, it was because she herself would welcome the endeavor, with little influence on his behalf.
"Oh, my dearest. You haven't known love at all. Bonnie, I swear to you, when we inevitably take that step, there will be no pain, no force, and it will be in your hands. I will show you what it's like to lose yourself to passion," Kol promised with a penetrating state that made Bonnie blush.
His intensity was semi-frightening but there was a strange comfort in his vow that although Bonnie deeply appreciated, she wondered how it was in her power when he could always invoke the sire bond. Wouldn't that be taking her against her will? Instead of questioning, she nodded and pressed her face against his chest, under his chin as she hugged round his waist.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have slapped you,"
"No strikes, just kisses," Kol said as he kissed the top of her head.
~ Football game ~
The younger Salvatore was walking up to the bleachers with a long-haired blonde Kol had never laid eyes on before. Neither of them noticed him slipping through the crowd, and soon they were out of line of view. Then he spotted her, she was in her cheerleading uniform, holding her pompoms to her chest. She stood out because she was standing in a group of students in everyday clothes, rather than with the rest of the cheerleaders. She bid her companions goodbye before she joined her squad, talking excitedly.
Kol stepped closer and caught her eye. The same intriguing expression once again covered her face as he beckoned her with compulsion. "I'll be back," she said to her fellow cheering squad, without taking her eyes off of Kol.
"Darling Tiki," Kol said with what she interpreted as a charming smile. "We haven't had a proper chance to chat, have we?"
He led the cheerleader into the school building, into an empty science lab. "What are we doing in here?"
"Getting better acquainted," Kol gestured to the counter behind her. "Have a seat, dear,"
Tiki hopped on the counter, leaning on her hands at her side. Kol stepped in front of her, blocking her in with his hands.
"What do you want to know? And why are you so close to me?"
His eyes turned cold as he compelled her. "You're a friend to Bonnie Bennett, correct?"
She nodded. "And you didn't help her the time she was assaulted under the bleachers, months ago?"
"What? You mean with Jeremy?" Tiki shook her head. "You're thinking of the wrong guy. He'd never do that, he's not like that. He's so sweet to her, he's always with her. He's like the perfect boyfriend, he loves her. But if they were down there gettin freaky. I ain't gonna interrupt anyone's freaky time,"
He could have killed her for her crassness but Tiki's shock and disbelief at his revelation turned the wheels in his head. She was compelled to be truthful and from her perspective, they were any normal couple. It occurred to Kol that the Gilbert boy had been masquerading a double life, one that anyone close to the doomed couple was unaware of. Elena Gilbert must've thought her brother was an angel, and Kol saw it fit to expose him. She deserved more distress in her life, and then, when the proper time came for Kol to kill Jeremy, Elena would know that her baby brother deserved it. It would keep the doppelganger and her despicable blue-eyed vampire away from Bonnie, Kol had a very physically violent hatred for him for the rude way he'd killed Bonnie.
"Darling, Tiki, why you are right, I must be mistaken. It's been quite lovely getting to know you so well. It's as though we're old friends, you feel as though you can tell me anything, don't you?" His eyes suggested with compulsion. "And we'll be there for each other in our time of need, right, Tiki?"
"Yeah, it's crazy, I feel like I know you so well," she admitted with a sheepish grin. "But, what was your name again?"
"I'm Kol, darling. Go back to your institution's festivities. I'll catch up with you later, old friend,"
She beamed as she hopped off the counter and left the room. Kol had a doppelganger to find. But first, a mumma bear to consult. He dialed Abby's phone number on his cell.
"Darling Mum,"
"What the fuck do you want?" she demanded when she answered. "Are you out causing trouble so I can lock you up again?"
"Luckily, due to current revelations, I've had the mind to forgive you for your treachery last night. I mean to make a peace offering,"
"You're trying to sleep with her aren't you?" Abby began exclaiming a steady stream of expletives at Kol, who held the phone away from his ear, for a minute until she concluded her tirade.
"Are you quite done? I wouldn't dare touch her without her consent," Abby snorted at that, likely because Kol indeed bit the fuck out of her without her proper permittance. "and she is at the ripe young age of consent. Take that how you will but you should know someone has been hurting her for the past year against her will. I mean to end him tonight. I wanted to offer you the satisfaction to watch or possibly join me in the endeavor."
Hearing Abby's heartbeat's rhythm change and her chest heaving, Kol knew she was considering his offer. "Jeremy Gilbert or the Salvatores?"
"The Gilbert lad would be the culprit,"
"Oh we're going to fuck him all the way up," she growled. "Don't do anything without me, I'm on my way,"
"Look at us, working together as a team. We'll be a proper family, yet," Kol mused. He could practically hear her eyes roll through the line before she hung up.
~ Football game cont'd ~
Sitting in Lexi's car with her and Stefan almost felt normal for Bonnie, if it wasn't for the sort of conversation they were having. Instead of teen sex, it was sire bonds and the likelihood of being at a disadvantage of an overbearing vampire. Again.
"What I don't get is how were you gone for three whole weeks? Didn't Kol summon you?" Lexi inquired.
"He did and I was on my way," Bonnie said with a nod. "but when I turned, my mom like, exploded with black magic and got really scary with it. Of course, Kol is always trying her, even when she threatens him so she burned his flesh until he rescinded it and swore not to summon me again."
"Damn, get it mama bear," Lexi laughed. "Oh shit, they're really doing it, aren't they?" she said as she saw Damon and Elena get out of Damon's car across the parking lot.
"Stefan, that's your cue. If they come over here, I'm snapping his neck and biting her. Besides we've got girl talk," Bonnie said, tapping the back of the passenger seat. "I know you hate being in the middle of this, but-"
"I know. Don't be sorry," Stefan opened the door and gave a small bow. "Alright, ladies,"
"Yeah, he doesn't need to hear this. He'll only start worrying about if Damon's gotten that far with Elena," Lexi said. "So how'd it happen?"
"He said he wanted to take our relationship to the next level, after Klaus basically threatened to take me away. And I, being the dumbass that I am, thought he was talking about sex. I didn't even get some, can you believe that?"
Bonnie felt like an absolute fool for the way things went down, but it helped that Lexi had a similar experience, when she was a young and naive newborn vampire.
"You think you'd be able to," Lexi agreed with laughter and a head nod. "But if you'd tried it, you'd have woken up the next day like you partied too hard the night before. It's worse than a hangover. Experience has taught me well," she shrugged.
"How did you get out of it? The first time," Bonnie asked.
"Oh, I killed him, the one who sired me. He can't have any dominion over me if he's dead." Lexi threw her head back and laughed. "And he deserved all of it! He was a Ripper, he only cared about blood and possessing me. So of course when I met Stefan, I had to let him know. That's no way to live, especially preying on innocent people. You, on the other hand, you could simply ask Kol to release you. Except he's an Original, I doubt he's ever taken requests a day in his vampire life. So your only option would be to challenge him to a duel."
"What does that mean? Klaus said the same thing," Bonnie originally thought Klaus was full of shit. Apparently, he wasn't.
"It's an ancient tradition, you know how knights used to challenge each other?"
"By throwing a glove at them?"
"Yup. He'll have no choice to accept or suffer the humiliation of cowardice from society," Lexi explained.
Bonnie sighed and leaned her head against the window. "I doubt he cares what anyone thinks,"
"It's a pride thing, he won't stand for his vampire progeny to disrespect him in such a way. Part of accepting the challenge is that he'll want to teach you a lesson. Which will be the duel. You'll have to fight him."
"That's it? Do I get any weapons?"
"It's hand-to-hand combat, Bonnie. You'll need to physically overpower him,"
The baby vampire laughed hysterically. It was unheard of, she was a three-week-old newborn vampire, Kol was as old as dirt, and a thousand times stronger. How could she overpower him? "So Klaus wasn't full of shit,"
"I bet he wants to train you too,"
It made sense why Klaus offered to help. "I'm not getting in between two fucking batshit crazy brothers," Bonnie shook her head, shuddering.
"Something tells me you already are. I'll train you though, your cheerleading muscles will come in handy. All you really have to do is catch him off-guard. The element of surprise will be your best friend. Now, another thing you need to know is that even though you are mated for life, if Kol wants to strengthen that in the future, you can always choose to reject him, only it's going to hurt because you'll have to refuse his offer of blood."
"For how long?"
"The whole night. He'll have to leave you to your own devices because he won't be able to stand seeing you in agony. Unless he's just that sadistic, then he'll watch you suffer but that's not going to get him any points with you, is it?"
Bonnie sighed again. "Why can't I just not be a vampire, this is hard and it sucks!"
Lexi caressed her cheek. "Did he not tell you that eventually, it won't hurt at all?"
"I don't care about that, we're worlds away from that," she opened the car door. "Let's go watch some locks suck at high school football,"
Lexi grinned and opened her car door as well when each vampire suddenly thrust a glance in the direction of the high school. "Did you hear that?" Bonnie asked.
Lexi nodded. "I'm right behind you, lead the way,"
~ Inside the cafeteria ~
Bonnie and Lexi zoomed inside, the alarming noise having led them to the cafeteria. In it was Abby, and Tiki standing next to Kol while the trio loomed over another trio in a hostage situation. The other trio consisted of Elena, Damon, and Jeremy. Their hands weren't tied but apparently compelled or spelled to remain behind their backs while each silently squirmed in an attempt to get Bonnie's attention.
A lunch table was set up next to the crew, only there was no lunch present, but various torture devices. An axe, butcher's knife, a chain mace, a metal bat, and yardstick ruler. How the fuck did he get weapons on school property?! This was absolutely the kind of party she'd read up on about Kol and pretty much all the Mikaelson's. They liked to torture, no matter if the victims were innocent or not. Bonnie guessed Kol took a personal interest here, since he'd been informed on Jeremy's less than manly habits.
Get here now, I need you. Bonnie impulsively sent the text to Rebekah who immediately replied:
*Thumbs up emoji* Leaving now.
"Abby, what's going on?" Bonnie looked at her mother whose eyes were flashing black. She didn't appear to be in a talking mood. Pulling her wary gaze away, she turned to Kol instead. "Kol?"
"Many apologies, but who is she?" he asked, looking at Lexi.
"She's with me," Bonnie replied, nodding her head in attempted assurance.
"I'm with her," Lexi said with a smirk.
Kol was not amused. "Well, 'with Bonnie', you weren't invited. And neither were you , bloody fucking hell!" Kol groaned and crossed his arm as Rebekah entered the cafeteria.
"I'm certain, I'm at the top of the VIP list," his baby sister beamed at Bonnie, who subconsciously tucked her hair behind her ear. She was fucking absolutely adorable when she was being demure, even if it was due to Rebekah. Better Bex, than Nik, he figured silently. Kol ran his fingers through his hair, then placed a hand on Abby's shoulder.
"Mumsie, darling. Would you mind terribly? The scene is a bit overcrowded,"
With an onyx gaze, Abby glared at his hand on her shoulder, before he quickly whipped it back to his side. Then she scoffed and threw her hands up, conjuring specific magic that made Rebekah and Bonnie's oddly named companion disappear. Outside of the gym, Bonnie could hear Rebekah and Lexi banging on the door, which Abby sealed shut with an enchantment.
"Let them back in, those are my girls!" Bonnie demanded. Kol only ignored her and grabbed the yardstick.
"Now that we're all here together, in private, might I add," he smirked at the Bennett's, who only scowled at him. "The day of reckoning is upon us. Or should I say, upon you, Jeremy Gilbert," Kol said, pointing a precursive ruler at him. "What say you? The boy may speak now,"
Abby waved her magic. "You better choose your words carefully,"
Bonnie frowned as Tiki shook her head in dismay while she glared at Jeremy. "Why are you here?" She whispered to the cheerleader.
Tiki winked and made an OK sign with three fingers. "We got you, girl. Don't worry!" she whispered.
Oh-kaaay, she thought. She just nodded, still confused as to why Tiki was there.
"Bonnie," Jeremy finally said. "Bonnie, I'm sorry but please, stop this!" She glanced at him before she instinctively sank into Kol's arms. She didn't want to look at Jeremy considering where this was going. As much as Kol tended to irk her, she felt safe in his arms. Especially given the current situation that made her feel so vulnerable.
"I don't wanna do this," she whispered, low enough so that only Kol could hear. He kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her.
"Be strong, Bonnie. He won't ever hurt you again, no one will. Mumsie and I will make certain of that,"
"Ok," she said, squeezing him once more before she resolved to face Jeremy. She turned around, with one of Kol's arms still wrapped around her.
"What are you sorry for?!" Abby demanded.
"For putting my hands on her," Jeremy said quietly, avoiding Elena's shocked expression and Damon's glare. Damon fidgeted more than usual at the revelation.
"It looks like we have some thoughts on this atrocity," Kol said, gesturing to Damon with his yardstick. Abby released him from her enchantment.
"We're here because you slapped Bonnie around? Elena, I'm gonna kill the little shit! Why are we here?! We didn't do shit to her," Damon snapped.
Kol scoffed in disbelief. "You really believe that, don't you? Do you not remember twisting her neck, releasing her from her mortal coils? I'd count that as a deadly offense. And you," Kol crouched down next to Elena. "Why, you're the worst of the whole lot. So self-absorbed and wrapped up in your own- Bonnie, love, what's the word I'm looking for?" He snapped his fingers, searching for the right word.
"Bullshit," Bonnie offered. Elena frowned at her. As if Bonnie cared. Kol told no lies when he read Elena for who she was.
"Precisely! Thank you, my dear. So wrapped up in your own bullshit, you don't even notice the signs of your so-called best friend in distress. I bet you've contented yourself by convincing yourself that Bonnie is merely clumsy and has the misfortune of trouble following wherever she goes? Because you refuse to let the sunshine on anyone but you and your small-town problems, which are even deeper than you can even fathom. Tell her what else you did, boy," Kol snapped at Jeremy.
"Raped her. Took her virginity," he muttered. Jeremy didn't even seem ashamed as much as he seemed annoyed.
Kol delighted in Abby's rage at that revelation as she performed some kind of magic that made him scream his head off.
"Bonnie, stop this please," Elena begged when Abby let her speak. "I'm sorry, I didn't know he's hurt you but he's my little brother, please! I can't, I've already lost my parents,"
"Bonnie, you little fuckin-" Kol handed the yardstick to Tiki, who stabbed Damon through his stomach before he could finish his insult. Elena screamed.
"Shut up, Elena, stop being a stuck-up bitch!" Tiki yelled with a glare.
"That's why she's here," Kol smirked. "I've got a better idea, Mumsie. Why don't I compel her to beat him to death?"
"This isn't a fucking game, Kol! Bonnie, I swear to you, no one is ever going to hurt you again, especially not this fucker!" Abby declared as Jeremy continued to scream.
Kol walked over to Tiki, proudly stroking her hair away from her face. "You've made me proud, tonight. You will be protected from retaliation against this filthy vampire and even filthier vermin of an excuse for a teenage boy. You should go, now. Things are going to get ugly and that's not really your style. Is it?" He compelled her.
"No, it's not," she agreed. She turned to leave but not before scowling at the hostages and turning to Bonnie. "You deserve better," she assured Bonnie, who nodded again, still in confusion. Then Tiki left the building. Lexi and Rebekah tried to rush in but the barrier was still in place.
Kol watched as Tiki left, chuckling. "She is darling," he shook his head in amazement. "I still say we have the doppelgänger beat him to death,"
Bonnie shrugged. She didn't care, she just wanted to move on to the next activity of the night already. Her secret was out in the open, Jeremy was suffering, and she was now bored.
"Enough games," Abby commanded, releasing her spell. Jeremy's screams turned into heaving breaths. "We can't kill him, not yet."
Elena, who was in tears, gasped. "What do you mean?"
"We need him to do our bidding. Don't we, Kol?"
Kol sighed, glaring at Jeremy. "Unfortunately. If you fail to be of use, your bum is grass,"
Bonnie wiped her face with her hand. Kol had little concept of how to properly use American banter. "His ass is grass, Kol. You're supposed to rhyme,"
"What she said," Kol waved his hand over Bonnie and gave the Gilbert boy a devious grin.
"Besides," Abby joined Kol in the devious glaring mission. "Your little pecker is not going to work anymore. You won't force yourself on anyone, ever again. And I mean ever."
Impressed, Kol put his arm around Abby's shoulder. "I think we make a great team, Mumsie," he beamed at her as her black eyes darkened even further. Bonnie zipped over and grabbed Kol's arm.
"No. Just no," she whispered. "We don't want to upset Mama Bear."
"This is your last chance to stay away from my daughter, the both of you. Or it won't matter whether or not you're useful, you'll be dead! But you," Abby turned to Damon. "Are useless. Waste him,"
Bonnie had never seen her mom in such a state of hate but it had surely been building up since Bonnie turned. She was a force to be reckoned with, she wanted blood for those who had wronged Bonnie, who was absolutely here for it! No one would protect her more fiercely than the two people in front of her, who made her what she was today; her mother, who made her a witch, and her vampire sire who ushered her into her undead life.
She observed as Kol eagerly grabbed the chain mace, swinging it around, when suddenly the lights went out. It was pitch black. Having vampire vision she wasn't completely blind but the room was still dark as night. Scuffles and screams were heard before the lights illuminated the area once again.
Kol was fucking pissed when the lights were back on and his hostages were gone. His chance to rid the world of the elder Salvatore brother had slipped through his fingers. He could hunt them down, but that would get in the way of his plans for the night.
Sighing, he turned to Abby and shrugged. "Another day for sure. The hunt is on,"
~ At the drive in ~
After the disaster in the gym, Bonnie didn't hear from any of the so-called entourage. Abby went to confer with the Mikaelson's but not before Bonnie begged her not to inform Klaus or Rebekah of what she'd learned that night. She didn't know what he'd do, Kol and Abby found Jeremy useful but Bonnie had a feeling Klaus wouldn't. Rebekah already loathed misogynistic men, Bonnie doubted she'd find anything useful about Jeremy as well. Kol had a plan that Bonnie was counting on. Additionally, deep down, she didn't wish to see Jeremy burn the way Abby and Kol did.
Kol already had plans in place, as he wanted to spend alone time with her, away from everyone and everything, and in a situation they didn't have to think about any current events. So he took her to the drive-in cinema, in his new Audi S4.
"Your attire is most flattering but doesn't the cinema require casual wear? I fear you may be the only one overdressed here," Kol said, looking down at his casual tee and dark denim jeans. Bonnie had gone home to change into an elegant white peplum top with no sleeves and a black polyester mini skirt. Complete with platform high heels that made her four inches taller, she looked mouthwatering.
"Who cares, we'll literally be in the car the whole time. What movie is it again?"
Kol had heard many of Bonnie's fellow peers discussing films of the horror genre. Apparently a proper scare helped their dates jump into their arms, setting the mood for the night. "It's called Resident Evil: Afterlife." He replied proudly. He'd only had an opportunity to see a handful of films in his time and they were silent films. Now, there was a wide genre of films and he figured horror would be his favorite, as his life was just as horrifying according to some.
Bonnie clicked her tongue. "Zombies? What are you trying to scare me into sitting in your lap?"
For a modern girl, she was certainly no fool.
"Of course not, I can have you anytime I wish. I simply wish to enjoy the cinema of flesh eating zombies with you. Although I doubt I'll be able to keep my eyes on the film, you're quite dazzling tonight,"
"Just bring the popcorn before the movie starts," Bonnie sighed, leaning against the window.
"As you wish, darling," Kol stated before he sauntered off.
Bonnie shifted in the passenger seat to view the backseat, wondering if that would be more comfortable, though she didn't want to mislead Kol. She decided against it, figuring with her skirt and heels, the temptation would be too strong, even for her.
When Kol returned, he placed the popcorn in the middle. He too, looked toward the backseat, then back at Bonnie. He seemed to change his mind as he faced forward and reclined his seat, inviting Bonnie to do the same.
Contrary to his prediction, Kol was positively captivated by the film. He absolutely loved the beginning scene, fascinated with the graphic fighting and the way Alice took out her opponents with such ease. He relished in all the gun and sword violence, the way Alice maneuvered through it all. Bonnie suspected it was because weapons weren't necessary for him, his vampirism was his weapon.
Bonnie had already seen the movie and didn't have the heart to tell him. She was glad because he might have selected something else in that case. He was like a child in a candy store with his excitement, she spent most of her time observing his reactions.
Halfway through the movie, a text message came through from Abby, saying that she would be home late and Bonnie was not to stay out as late, since it was a school night. She added that her father's house and Gram's house had been charmed to ward off unwanted guests; meaning the Salvatore's and the Gilbert's. A reasonable accommodation in Bonnie's eyes. She had nothing to say to any of them. True, Stefan was a friend, yet her sire commanded she not care what was to become of his fate. Something that would surely irk her if it wasn't for the sire bond, yet she was helpless and careless to act upon whatever injustice she would have normally felt. All she could do was remain neutral about him.
She replied Ok and another text message came through, this time from Lexi:
Can you get rid of him for a few minutes?
Bonnie replied:
I can try.
Lexi, on the other hand, was a different story. She was a friend and mentor of sorts, similar to Rebekah, only less volatile. Bonnie looked over at Kol who was enjoying Alice battling a mutant. "You didn't get drinks. Get me a soda?"
Kol gave her a mournful look before he grabbed another handful of popcorn. "Wait here," he said, popping the snack into his mouth.
As Kol walked off, Bonnie looked at the screen and a jump scare made her yelp. She was just calming down when a tap at her window startled her again.
"Lexi!" She whispered. Lexi silently laughed and gestured for her to roll down the window, putting a finger to her lips. Bonnie rolled down the window and mouthed, what is it?
Lexi handed her a pair of white gloves.
"Thank you," she said in her most quiet whisper. "Tell Stefan-" Lexi shook her head, made a zip and lock across her lip motion, then the ok and thumbs up sign, before she sped away.
God, I love that Lexi! She couldn't admit to it in front of Rebekah but Lexi was her favorite vampire. She'd claim her as her new bestie but she had a feeling that would make Stefan jealous. Lexi wasn't part of any of this, and she didn't want to cause any tension for her. Bonnie also wanted to remind Stefan how sorry she was for all of this shitty situation but Lexi seemed to understand.
Kol returned a moment later, making her jump again.
"Kol!" She put her hands on her chest. "The backseat?"
She needed not tell him twice that the horror was getting to her. As Kol moved their snacks to the backseat, he noticed Bonnie putting a white cloth in her handbag. It looked like it had fingers. He knew Nik had told her about breaking the sire bond, but he figured it was a general statement that it was possible, not exactly how she could do it. What on earth was she doing with white gloves?
He was now perturbed, but Bonnie rested up in his arms, too busy being frightened from the film to notice the change in his demeanor. Internally he was seething at the disrespect Nik continually showed him. It became difficult for him to enjoy the rest of the movie, being as how the heroine was off killing hordes of zombies and Kol was itching to kill something.
Nor did it help that Bonnie was in his arms, not fucking him senseless, another thing that would for sure quell his rage in the meantime. When the movie was over he subtly witnessed her put the gloves on as he prepared to drive her home.
"Do you like my gloves? I thought they made my outfit look more elegant." She said, waving one gloved hand in his direction.
Kol leaned over and smirked. "They are absolutely beautiful, Bonnie,"
He watched her with a hard gaze, so hard that she returned a demure grin and looked away, feigning modesty.
~Bonnie's attempt~
Kol escorted Bonnie into her house. Being that he and Abby were now allies, he was extended an invitation to her father's home, though not Bonnie's Gram's. Abby was unaware that Kol had compelled the title of the house with Bonnie as the homeowner; a vampire only needed an invitation to enter a human home, yet he still needed to keep up pretenses. He followed her upstairs and into her room and observed her removing her heels. She cast a coy, but obvious glance around as she moved to peel off the gloves.
The baby vampire felt his eyes on her as she removed her gloves. Before she could toss it to where she intended, Kol flashed forward and grabbed her hand. "If you want me to release you, all you must do is ask," he said, lowering her hand.
She glowered at him. "Will you release me, Kol?"
"No," a wicked laugh invaded her eardrums. "But thank you for having the courtesy to at least ask," he tightened his grip on her arms as his other hand peeled the glove out of her hand and looked her deep in the eyes. "Don't try that again,"
"Dammit, Kol that's not fair!"
The fact that Bonnie thought she could outsmart him worked to her own detriment and he relished in the death glare she gave him as her rage manifested in the form of writhing veins and fangs. She should have known he had been anticipating that, especially with Klaus in her ear. Didn't any of these fools understand he would not let her go? He wanted her always, but she was beginning to put a damper on their complex relationship, making things difficult since she would not accept her place as his mate, no matter how badly she wanted him as well. It was becoming all too clear, but maybe he could rectify that.
"I have another proposal. You're fighting your emotions for me and although I can bend your will at any time, I'd prefer you be straightforward with it. I want your desire to be with me to come from within you,"
"Really?! Since when?!" She demanded. Kol was absolutely crazy and full of shit if he thought Bonnie would believe any of that. If that were true, he would have released her by now, instead, he abused the authority the sire bond granted him. Most notably by forcing her to be ok with things she normally wouldn't be. It robbed her of the peace of mind that came with free will.
Kol grabbed both gloves and pocketed them before he laid out on his back on her bed. "Little love, I grow weary of these verbal sparring wars. I have no desire to trade further words with you if we can't come to an agreement." He covered his eyes by laying his arm across them. "Would you like to hear my proposal or would you rather spend another day in suspense?"
"What have you got? Better not be rubbish," she scoffed, sitting down at the edge of the bed.
"You must spare me an opportunity to treat you properly, as if there were no sire bond in place. Spend some time with me, there are things I would like to show you. If you find that my company is still most irredeemably incorrigible, I will release you. However, if you come to find that I'm a nice guy, the sire bond remains intact. No more discussion over it,"
Bonnie watched him for a few moments, silently. He peeked out at her under his arm after a while, raising his brow in a question. "Now would be the time to contribute your thoughts on the matter," he said somewhat impatiently.
"What will we do?" She finally asked. She didn't want to agree to this, unsure if it was a means of seduction. "And how do I know you won't take advantage of the situation?"
"Bonnie, love. If I were going to take advantage of alone time with you, now would be the time. Your mother is out for the better part of the night, my siblings are all occupied as well." Kol pulled Bonnie towards him, pulling her leg over so she was straddling him. "I have more than enough time to do all the things I want to do to you at this very moment," he winked and pulled her face closer.
"I'd absolutely love to kiss you right now. I could just do it," his murmur against her lips was another reminder of the power he wielded over her. "But you've been hurt. Terribly. I have no desire to rush that sort of thing,"
He flipped Bonnie over on her back, before he stood up. "But I leave it in your hands. Your body and mind must be in sync with their desire for me. I will never compromise that,"
That didn't at all feel like bullshit, Bonnie realized as Kol got up to leave. It drove her desire for him, prompting her to jump up into his arms at vampire speed. "Thank you," she said, dropping kisses all over his face. He held her by the waist as her legs wrapped around his back. Damn her vampire emotions, anytime she was happy with Kol she was automatically aroused. And when his lips greedily found her mouth, she was done for. She couldn't take much more of this torment, she needed to have him, her body was screaming for him. She grinded against his middle and reached her hands down to grope him.
"Bonnie," he whispered. "You're not ready," he laid her back down on her bed before he pulled her hands off of him and stood, once again. "Body and mind, remember?"
She glared at him and flashed into the bathroom. His rejection stung, and she was so worked up from that moment, as well as her earlier moments in school with Kol. Bonnie decided she had to take care of it, then and there.
He smelled the scent before he heard the soft moans of self-pleasure coming from Bonnie. The sound, the scent was exquisitely fucking torturous. He needed to leave NOW or he'd have her tonight and he knew that would be against her will, her newborn vampire impulses were leading tonight. The temptation was too strong. He ambled towards the door to take his leave when he heard her whisper his name. She was pleasuring herself and imagining him. He bit down on his knuckles and every ounce of restraint he had crumbled.
In a flash, he retrieved her from the restroom and replaced her on her bed. "Kol," she panted. "I just need to…"
"I know," he nodded and slipped his fingers inside of her underwear. Bonnie weakened him, but he resolved to be strong and firm in his decisions.
~The next morning~
Two things Bonnie was certain of. She should not have tested the limits of Kol's restraint the night prior, she should have let him leave when he suggested. And the other thing was that Kol was like a drug. She wanted to overdose on him. The naughty things he had done to her, without once penetrating her, had her melting all over his hands and she found she couldn't get enough. Yet she was internally conflicted, wanting him but not feeling ready for more. Instincts and past trauma told her that she couldn't do this much longer without Kol wanting to go all the way. All the way was terrifying. Very few times she had welcomed sex with Jeremy, only it ended up being for his own satisfaction, as usual. Yet if Kol could just go on touching her the way he had last night, she'd be forever content.
The fear that he'd grow weary of that and demand his own satisfaction hung heavy in her chest, still Bonnie hadn't even known sensations he'd brought her to even existed. It was completely different when she welcomed, in fact, craved his advances. All night she burned for another hit of that which was his gratifying touch. The next time she would see him would likely be after school, it was so far away. She stumbled downstairs, wishing she could have Kol back to pleasure her before school when- speaking of the devil! He was standing in her kitchen with Abby!
He was leaning on the island counter, looking at a grimoire with Abby when they both looked up as Bonnie's presence caught their attention. He looked up and smiled that fucking 'remember last night' smile and Bonnie's legs nearly trembled. "Good morning, love,"
Oh, God, I can't deal with this today.
Abby didn't appear to notice, she was too focused on whatever they were studying in the grimoire but she gestured for Bonnie to come closer. With her messy bun and morning breath, Bonnie ambled over. "What is it?"
"I need your blood. And Kol's. We're trying something," Abby said. Bonnie gave her blood, as did Kol.
"Well, I'm gonna be late for school,"
"I can escort you," Kol offered.
"No, I need you here. I need to see how it reacts," Abby insisted. "Bonnie, if any of those bitches come near you, their face will start melting. They'll heal once they leave you alone. But if they have a death wish, I suppose they'll continue to bother you. Kol, I need you to stand over here,"
Abby positioned Kol where she needed him and Kol threw a glance over her shoulder at Bonnie lightly pouting.
She dashed upstairs to change her outfit, keeping her messy bun since it looked a little cute. She put on a tracksuit and sped out the door. Except she didn't go to school. She found herself at the Mikaelson mansion. Rebekah was livid she didn't get in on any of the action last night and hadn't spoken to Bonnie since. Bonnie meant to amend things with her immediately, as she was her saving grace, as well as she had one hundred times more experience than Caroline, whom she loved dearly, but Rebekah had an insight to Kol's mind as well. Who better to guide her on how to navigate her relationship with Kol than the only person who knew him well enough, that she also completely trusted?
Bonnie let herself in because Kol and Rebekah had informed her she was welcome to come in anytime. Something she came to regret when she entered the mansion as she heard the clear sounds of a man and woman having sex.
Gross. She really hoped it was Elijah, because it would mean whatever was brewing between him and Abby was off the table, though she'd never known him to be so audacious with his affairs. Or maybe it was Rebekah and a human? As long as it wasn't Klaus, the last thing she needed was the immensely disturbing image of him on the job. She rushed over to Rebekah's room and rapped on the door. There was no answer except the lovemaking sounds from down the corridor halted, and a door opened.
Klaus came bounding down the hall wearing only a robe. "Little witch!"
"I'm not a witch," she mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
"What a treat. What can I do for you this morning?"
"Umm, you can put on some clothes. And you can tell me where Rebekah is,"
Klaus tsked. "And here I thought you've come to take me up on my offer to help you with Kol,"
Immediately regretting not calling first, Bonnie folded her arms across her chest, rubbing her arms. "I don't need your help, I need Rebekah!"
Klaus blocked her in with his hands pressed against the wall. "But I insist, little witch. If you had accepted my offer, your futile attempt at a challenge wouldn't have failed," he cocked a brow at the tail end of his sentence.
"I - I don't -I'm-" she sputtered.
Klaus pressed his lips between his teeth and glanced at Bonnie's lips. He's too damn close for comfort! "I can smell my baby brother all over you. Can you believe the sod blamed me for your attempt? As if he doesn't know if that were the case, you'd be a free baby vampire right now. Free to do whatever your body compels you to," his eyes looked down over her form.
The only thing her body wanted to do was to fling Klaus back down the hall where he came from, only he'd take that as a challenge and eventually put her in a compromising position again.
"Klaus, back your old ass up and away from me. Aren't you forgetting, Kol is my mate! Whether or not I like it, and yeah, I'm kinda starting to. So stop trying to ruin things between us. I can handle myself with Kol anyway and besides," the door down the hall opened and Bonnie thrust her head in that direction. "Don't you have company?"
Klaus dropped his hands and leaned back as a tall leggy brunette emerged from Klaus's quarters and strolled down the hall. She shook her sex tousled hair with one hand as she neared, and smoothed out her top over her jeans. "I was just leaving," she said, locking silent smirks with Klaus.
As the woman left, Bonnie realized that was Hayley ! Tyler's friend, who had helped him remove his sire bond from Klaus. The way he'd had to do it was much more complicated than what Bonnie had to do. He'd had to go through the pain of shifting into his wolf form, repeatedly until it didn't hurt anymore, as he'd gotten quite used to the pain. What the hell was Hayley doing here, and was she in danger?
"Ahh, young Hayley. She was kind enough to give me the location of the rogue hybrid camp, in exchange for- well, I'd inform you, but I'm a gentleman," Klaus grinned.
Gross! "The hybrid camp? You mean where," Bonnie's heart sank.
"Yes, where Tyler and the rest of the traitors currently dwell,"
Bonnie lunged into action, in an attempt to make her exit, but Klaus grabbed her wrists. "And we're going there, now !"
***Allow me to just lament for a moment. Originally, the scene from RE that captivated Kol was supposed to be the fight scene in the Tokyo simulation, where Alice fights the zombies in the rain after she sees a zombie attack a man, then she runs down that brightly lit corridor kicking more zombie ass. That one is my favorite RE movie and those movies are hard to watch because I have an irrational fear of zombies (childhood trauma for the win lol)
I didn't remember which film it was from so upon research I found this was from Afterlife, which conveniently was released in 2010, the same year this fic of mine takes place. I loved the historical accuracy of at least that (I cannot with music!) Alas, fate would not allow my favorite scene to be part of this if it was going to be historically accurate.
I'm so upset about it as I discovered upon further and more accurate research, the scene where Alice fights zombies in Tokyo is actually in RE Retribution which was released in 2012, but the same simulation is seen as the opening scene of Afterlife, a female zombie attacks a man as he walks by. I've seen all the movies but I guess I didn't pay proper attention to Afterlife because I watched it again it felt new lol
Retribution is hands down my favorite, I wish they didn't do Good Rainn like that though. I can't have anything nice, can I, ugh! In my heart, they went to see Retribution!
End of my rant, thanks for listening lol
