Abhimanyu and Bellatrix had just finished their last exam of the year and were sitting by the side of the lake, having a picnic lunch. Ginger, Molly, Arthur, Andromeda and Narcissa were sitting with them.

"Hurrah," Ginger cried out as he held his plate laden with spinach pasta, "No more exams! We're free birds!"

Abhimanyu said, "Yup, we're free for now, until our seventh year. Sadly, we won't be seeing Arthur for a year."

Arthur replied, "True, considering that I've finished my NEWTs."

Bellatrix asked, "So Arthur Weasley, what do you want to do now?"

Arthur replied, "I want to have a position in the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office."

Abhimanyu explained, "Arthur here is fascinated by Muggles."

Andromeda commented, "If you were a Black, I bet my father would faint in horror."

Abhimanyu couldn't help laughing at that. He turned to the Black sisters and said, "No offence, it's just that…"

Bellatrix said, "It's alright. But don't spread this to anyone. He'd better not hear about this."

Ginger said, "True. We'd better not."

Just then, they all heard a voice calling out, "Hello there. Am I interrupting your pleasant picnic lunch?"
They turned to see none other than Lucius standing nearby.

Abhimanyu pulled out an extra plate that was there and called out, "Hey Lucius, come over and join us."

Lucius said, "No thank you, although I really must speak to you. Can I have a moment with you, alone?"

Abhimanyu placed his plate of food down, wiped his hands with a napkin, and standing up, walked over to where Lucius was standing.

He said, "What is it?"

Lucius said, "I've been thinking about what you and Narcissa said the other day, and it's going to be sometime before I change my opinions about Muggles and Muggleborns, if that happens at all."

"Oh," Abhimanyu said.

He was surprised when Lucius said, "But, I think I will accept your friendship, but mainly for Narcissa's sake. But don't expect me to hang out with you often."

Abhimanyu politely shook Lucius' hand and said, "Well, we're friends now. Why don't you come join us for lunch? I believe Narcissa would want you to do so."

Lucius said, "Alright."

With that, he went and joined them.

The last week of the year went by quickly. Although Lucius hardly spoke with Abhimanyu, the latter did not mind. Their friendship was a little odd, considering that Lucius had only accepted it because of Narcissa's persuasion.

Bellatrix got closer to Arthur, Molly and Ginger, and of course, Rodolphus and Avril were not happy with that. They tried to harass Abhimanyu but Bellatrix and Andromeda kept on defending him.

Finally, it was time for the end-of-the-year feast.

Armando Dippet, the headmaster was standing in his place to deliver some announcements.

He announced, "It is with great pleasure, that we now celebrate the end of this illustrious academic year. First, we have the matter of the house cup. We have Ravenclaw in first place with 450 points, Slytherin in second place with 430 points, Gryffindor in third place with 425 points, and Hufflepuff in fourth place with 390 points."

The Ravenclaw students burst into tumultuous applause upon hearing that they had won the house cup. Abhimanyu felt slightly disappointed but shrugged his shoulders. After all, there was one more year.

And then, Dippet spoke, "I also have a very important announcement to make. I have decided to retire."

The hall fell into silence upon hearing that.

Dippet continued, "From the next academic year onwards, Hogwarts shall be headed by Professor Albus Dumbledore. Thank you Dumbledore and congratulations."

The hall burst into applause. Dumbledore, the one who had defeated Grindelwald, was going to be the headmaster. This was something wonderful, for most students, well except for some people including Rodolphus, Rabastan and Avril.

With that, the feast began and Abhimanyu, Arthur, Molly and Ginger chatted as they ate their food.

Ginger said, "Abhi, you've got to come over to my place this time, at least after your trip to India."

Abhimanyu replied, "That'll be fun. Hopefully Mom and Dad will be okay. Well at least I don't have to worry about underage magic."

Molly said, "You'd better not be annoying your parents by apparating from room to room!"

Abhimanyu laughed and said, "Don't worry. I'll only do it in your place."

"NO!" Molly cried out, "Gideon and Fabian annoy me enough as it is!"

Even as Arthur smiled, Abhimanyu and Ginger burst out into peals of laughter.
