Ever since Bellatrix and Abhimanyu had declared their love for each other, things had gotten very interesting.

Rodolphus had been in a foul mood for a whole week after having seen Bellatrix and Abhimanyu share their first kiss. Avril had shrieked in horror upon hearing about this and had avoided talking to Bellatrix. Andromeda and Narcissa had been quite happy for her, although Narcissa had expressed her worries about what their parents would do, whether this relationship would put them in danger or not, but Andromeda had talked her out of it, saying that Bellatrix was their big sister and knew what she was doing.

As for the Gryffindors, Molly and Ginger had simply told Abhimanyu that they were happy for him. Saunders had passed some remarks about Abhimanyu being naive with sawdust in his brains, and that had earned a slap from Molly.

Also, Bellatrix and Abhimanyu had begun dating, of course, keeping everything decent. During one such date, Rodolphus and Rabastan had attempted to ruin their fun while they were sitting under a tree but they had been stopped by Rubeus Hagrid, the gamekeeper of Hogwarts who had happened to be passing by.

Amelia had seen them one day, talking and laughing and had deduced that they were dating. She had just told them that she was happy for them.

During the first quidditch match of the year, Abhimanyu had successfully beaten Rodolphus by catching the snitch right in front of him. He had breathed a sigh of relief upon catching it and Gryffindor had won the game with that catch. Of course, he had complimented the Slytherin team's playing, minus Rodolphus' attempts to cheat and taunt him.

During a Hogsmeade weekend in November, Molly had gone alone to meet Arthur who had managed to get some free time and had come to spend some time with Molly.

Abhimanyu had already formed a friendship with Hagrid earlier, and it had not too hard to convince Bellatrix to come with him to see him one Friday for tea. Of course, they had not taken a liking to his rock cakes, but the tea had been excellent.

Currently, it was the 20th of December and the first Christmas holiday. Abhimanyu's parents had gone to India in order to visit his grandfather and grandmother, which meant that he would be staying. They would be coming back to England a little before New Year's Eve and had planned to meet him in Hogsmeade, to which Dumbledore had graciously agreed to help them as they were Muggles.

Bellatrix and her sisters plus Ginger had decided to stay behind as well.

The previous day, several students had left to be with their families. Rodolphus, his brother and Avril had been among them and so had Lucius.

As it was the first holiday, Bellatrix and Abhimanyu had decided to celebrate with a date.

They were currently eating breakfast at the Gryffindor table.

Bellatrix took a bite of her waffle and asked, "So Abhi, I'm thinking, why don't we go to the lake for a while after breakfast before heading to Hogsmeade?"

Abhimanyu replied, "Sounds like a nice plan. Let's go for it."

Just then, Narcissa who was sitting next to Bellatrix said, "I'm happy for you two, but I really think you should be careful. Some Slytherins know that you are dating a Muggleborn. No offense intended."

Bellatrix said, "Cissy, It's not like those Lestranges and Avril don't know. And as long as they don't tell on us, which I hope they won't, it should be fine. At some point though, Mother and Father will find out."

Andromeda who was sitting next to Abhimanyu said, "We'll figure it all out then. Honestly, I'm happy for you Bella."

Ginger who was sitting next to Narcissa said, "Saunders thinks he's an expert on relationships. We're lucky he's younger than us."

"Oh yes," Abhimanyu replied, "One of my uncles in India is a lecturer. He goes on and on about exams and studies, almost every time I speak to him. And I can't tell him off because, he's my elder. If Saunders was at that age…"

Bellatrix said, "Well he isn't, so don't fret."

After they had finished breakfast, Abhimanyu, Bellatrix and her sisters were walking towards the exit when they suddenly noticed a thin boy at the Hufflepuff table calling out, "Excuse me, could you please come over here for a moment?"

Abhimanyu and the girls walked over to him and Abhimanyu asked, "Do you need help?"

The boy replied, "Well, I'm having problems with this question in arithmancy. I'm not able to understand the answer."

Abhimanyu sat down next to him and asked, "Do you have rough paper?"

The boy handed over his rough parchment and quill. Bellatrix went and sat down next to Abhimanyu.

Abhimanyu carefully looked at the problem and with a little working out, managed to solve the problem. He then proceeded to explain it, step by step. In the end, the boy was able to understand Abhimanyu's method.

He said, "Thank you. By the way, you're Pandey aren't you?"

Abhimanyu replied, "Yes. Abhimanyu Pandey."

The boy turned to Bellatrix and said, "And you are…"

Bellatrix said, "Bellatrix Black."

The boy said, "Well, a word of advice. I saw two Slytherin boys stalking you two yesterday when you were hanging out by the lake. You two need to watch out."

Abhimanyu and Bellatrix looked at each other and then at the boy.

Abhimanyu said, "Oh no! Thanks for letting us know. We'll keep an eye out for anyone who tries to harass us."

Andromeda spoke up, "Thank you for the warning Tonks."

Abhimanyu then spoke up, "Andi, you know him?"

Andromeda spoke up, "This is Tonks. He's in my year, Hufflepuff."

The boy said, "That's me. My name's Edward Tonks, call me Ted. I'm Muggleborn."

Abhimanyu shook Ted's hand and said, "Nice to meet you Edward Tonks. I'm Muggleborn too."

Bellatrix added, "And a wonderful one at that."

Abhimanyu wrapped an arm around Bellatrix and said, "And Bellatrix is a wonderful, lovely, fierce powerful woman."

"Oh yes I am fierce indeed," Bellatrix said, sporting an evil grin.

Andromeda said, "You do not want to cross her."

Ted smilingly replied, "Oh I had better not. By the way, are you American?"

Abhimanyu replied, "I was born in America and lived there for almost nine years, but my parents and I were only considered as secondary citizens. So we moved to the UK."

"Oh I see," Ted said, "Well that explains your American accent."

Abhimanyu then shook Ted's hand and said, "Nice meeting you Ted. I'll see you later."

"See you later," Ted said, "And oh by the way, are you going to Hogsmeade today?"

"Yes," Abhimanyu replied.

Ted then said, "A couple of friends and I are planning to play some music and sing in the Three Broomsticks from 7 to 8:15 this evening like some people do in Muggle pubs."

Narcissa said, "We normally don't go to Muggle pubs."

Ted said, "Oh, well would you like to come over tonight? You'll see what it's like. I'll even try to reserve the nearest table for you all."

Abhimanyu turned to the girls and said, "Sounds nice, what do you think?"

Andromeda said, "Let's go for it."

Bellatrix said, "Okay."

Abhimanyu turned to Ted and said, "We'll be there. 7, right?"

"Yeah 7 pm," Ted replied, "I look forward to seeing you there."

Andromeda said, "We look forward to it as well. Thank you for inviting us. Have a good day."

Abhimanyu and Bellatrix got up and the latter said, "We'll see you this evening. Goodbye."

"Goodbye friends," Ted responded smilingly.

Sometime later, Abhimanyu and Bellatrix were standing by the side of the lake near a beech tree. The weather was quite cloudy; quite foggy in fact.

Bellatrix wrapped an arm around Abhimanyu and smilingly whispered, "Dear Head Boy, lion among Muggleborns, Abhimanyu Pandey, prepare to be attacked."

And then, she suddenly pulled him down and began to tickle him. Abhimanyu fell on his back, laughing as he was very ticklish.

"Stop, stop," Abhimanyu cried out, "Mercy!"

Bellatrix paused and whispered, "On one condition, say your girlfriend's name and say that you love her."

Abhimanyu called out, "Bellatrix, I love you!"

Bellatrix pulled him up and they sat together, leaning their heads against each other.

Bellatrix then said, "What do you want to do now?"

Abhimanyu asked, "Want to go fly?"

Bellatrix replied, "Sure, why not? Let's get our brooms and fly across the lake."

Later on, after flying for a long time, Bellatrix and Abhimanyu landed in Hogsmeade and sat under a tree at a point from where they could view the castle of Hogwarts.

Bellatrix pulled Abhimanyu into a hug and kissed his cheek.

Smilingly she said, "That was quite a lot of fun. I particularly enjoyed that dogfight we had over the lake."

Abhimanyu replied, "You outmaneuvered me at least four times. And I had a hard time shaking you off my tail. You're awesome Bell!"

Bellatrix said, "You flatter me."

With that, she pulled him towards her and they shared a kiss.

Sometime later, after having had lunch in the Three Broomsticks with Andromeda and Narcissa, Bellatrix and Abhimanyu were sitting under the same tree, sharing a box of Bertie Bott's every flavor beans.

Abhimanyu pulled out a yellow not-so-nice looking bean and said, "Open your mouth."

Bellatrix opened her mouth even as Abhimanyu fed her the bean.

Bellatrix closed her mouth, bit into the bean, and the next moment, her face was contorted with utter disgust as she spat the bean out into her palm.

Abhimanyu was laughing.

For he had just given her a vomit flavored bean.

A few moments later, Bellatrix, having vanished the bean and cleaned her hand, glared at Abhimanyu even as he got up and backed off, crying out, "You! I'm going to get you for this!"

She began to chase him around in circles, pelting him with snowballs. Finally, she caught him and thrust a snowball in his face. Pulling him down and making sure that he was lying on his back, she retrieved the box of beans and pushed an ear wax flavored one into his mouth.

Abhimanyu's face contorted in disgust and a few moments later, having somehow swallowed the bean, he spluttered and said, "Bell, please cast an aguamenti charm now!"

Bellatrix leaned on top of him and whispered, "I have you in my power. The snake is on top of the lion."

Abhimanyu stated, "The woman is on top of the lion."

Bellatrix whispered evilly, "Correct."

With that, she leaned over and gave him a kiss.

They then stood up and went back to the same tree under which they had been sitting a few minutes ago and sat there underneath.

Bellatrix said, "You know, I have a cousin called Sirius. You'll find him to be quite interesting."

Abhimanyu said, "That sounds cool."

Bellatrix continued, "He also doesn't see Muggleborns to be below him. In fact, he already has developed quite a rebellious streak. Andi's always been his favorite, but after you and I became friends for real, he started to hang around me a lot as well."

Abhimanyu asked, "Does anyone in your family know that we are dating?"

Bellatrix replied, "Sirius is the only one that knows we're friends. He doesn't know that we're dating yet. I daresay this will have him over the moon!"

Abhimanyu asked, "Is there anyone else who knows?"

Bellatrix replied, "Sirius has a younger brother called Regulus, and he follows Sirius around a lot. He adores him. Regulus normally hangs around with me. He knows that I have a very good friend, and that you're very nice, but he doesn't know who it is yet. Later on, I'll tell him after making sure he can keep it secret. Sirius turned nine in November and Regulus is seven right now."

Abhimanyu asked, "Bellatrix, don't you think we should be inside? I'm getting cold!"

Bellatrix replied, "I think we should. It's only 3:30, and the music is only at 7. Let's get back to the castle and grab some hot chocolate."

Soon, Bellatrix and Abhimanyu were sitting next to each other at the Gryffindor table and sipping some hot chocolate with marshmallows, watching Dumbledore, McGonagall and Flitwick setting up a Christmas tree.

Abhimanyu asked, "How are you feeling? Tired?"

Bellatrix replied, "A little bit. Not much though."

After they had drunk their hot chocolate, they leaned on each other's heads.

Later on in the evening…

"Bellatrix, Abhimanyu, wake up, it's 6:30 already," some voices whispered.

Abhimanyu opened his eyes slowly and sat up straight, having leaned on Bellatrix for a long time. She had also been leaning on him for a long time. Wait a minute, had they fallen asleep?

Abhimanyu asked sleepily, "Did I fall asleep? What time is it?"

He turned around to find Andromeda and Narcissa behind him and Bellatrix.

Andromeda replied, "You and Bellatrix were asleep on each other. It's 6:30, and Tonks and Co. are performing at 7. You'd better freshen yourselves up."

Abhimanyu got up and went to his dorm to brush his teeth and wake himself up. Bellatrix did the same.

At 6:50, Abhimanyu, Bellatrix, Andromeda and Narcissa were on their way to the Three Broomsticks. Upon entering Hogsmeade, they were greeted by Christmas lights all around in each house and shop. They soon arrived at the Three Broomsticks and entered.

They saw Ted Tonks and a few other boys in the center of the bar. One of the boys was holding a guitar and another one was holding a violin. Another boy had a set of drums ready in front of him. Ted himself was not holding anything save for a sheet. It looked like he was going to be one of the singers.

Ted saw them and went towards them calling out, "Well hello there, glad you all made it. Come on, I managed to get the closest table."

He led them to a big table which was right next to the group. As the group sat down around, Abhimanyu said, "Good luck Ted."

Ted replied, "Thank You."

A few minutes later, the music started. On a fast note, the first song began.

Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hogwarts, it's a place to learn,

Come to beloved Hogwarts where magic awaits you,

Whether Gryffindor or Slytherin or Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw,

Come one come all to Hogwarts, best school of magic.

Dashing through the wind as the snitch evades the seeker,

Fast and furious so they fly, past bludgers and friends.

Dashing through the snow we are, can't you see?

It's so much fun, here we come, dear Hogwarts…

Oh wow, a lovely cauldron, which potion to brew?

What spell to rid us of this giant rock in our path?

A hippogriff, a unicorn, you might even ride one who knows?!

That's why, to learn magic, Hogwarts here come!

Some people were clapping and a few were actually dancing.

Even as Ted and another boy sang on, Bellatrix pulled Abhimanyu to his feet and said, "You know what? I actually quite like this. Let's have a dance till our food comes."

They danced for a little while until their food came, and then they sat down to eat.

The second song was Jingle Bells, and finally, the time came for the last song, which was going to be sung by Ted himself.

The music began and the song started.

During the song, Abhimanyu, Bellatrix and Narcissa noticed Andromeda staring at Ted as he sang. She seemed to be enraptured by his voice which was quite melodious.

After the song ended, Ted and his group of musicians bowed and thanked everyone, receiving a huge round of applause in return.

A few minutes later, Abhimanyu and the girls were walking back to the castle.

Andromeda just could not stop talking about Ted.

"Ted has such a melodious voice," she was saying, "I didn't think Muggle made music could sound so beautiful. And Ted, he's so polite, so considerate, so…"

"Andi," Narcissa interrupted smilingly, "my dear Andi, I think you're in love."

"Oh shut up Cissy!" Andromeda replied.

Bellatrix smiled and said, "It's okay Andi, I understand, because I'm with a Muggleborn myself. Just tell us Andi, we won't tell anyone."

Andromeda replied, "Well yes, I do want to get to know him better."

Bellatrix, Abhimanyu and Narcissa just smiled at each other, chuckling.
