BPOV

I hear the pounding at my door. "Bella, you better be up," Charlie's voice calls.

I get up from my bed and open the door.

"I'm not running late," I tell him, gesturing to my fully clothed body.

"Change the shirt, Bella," he sighs.

It's a Grateful Dead crop top with a whole lot of stomach showing.

"I'm not changing," I say.

"You are walking a fine line, kid," Dad says gruffly.

"I think it's sexist that you're trying to tell me what is acceptable to wear to school when I haven't ever been called to the principal's office or written up," I argue.

Charlie's mustache bristled as his nostrils flared.

"You are really pushing it for someone in your situation," he says with a glare.

"I'm the one that had their privacy violated. Was it stupid to keep those photos on my iCloud? Absolutely, but those were my private photos."

"You were sixteen years old, Jake was eighteen, you shouldn't have been involved with him. You are a kid."

This is something I had to hear in front of Jacob and Billy over the weekend as well as Charlie's FBI friend, Sue, who he pulled in for a favor. She was the one who went to Jessica's house to speak with her parents.

I had to be humiliated each time I had to share my privacy. Jake was just as pissed but kept his mouth shut about it in front of our fathers.

I grab my flannel black and white plaid jacket and bag.

I was over talking about this.

I move past my dad.

"I'm not done talking about this," he snaps.

"I thought you didn't want me late for school," I called over my shoulder as I hit the stairs.

I remained on my original mission, I wasn't allowed to ride to school with Tanya and Jazz for a month, it was part of my grounding. I was basically a prisoner in his house for the next month.

I make my way to the Cullen's house hoping I can catch Edward before work. I notice Carlisle and Esme's cars are missing, as well as Tanya's, as I go along the side of the house cutting through the backyard to the pool house.

I knock on the door seeing Edward standing shirtless in his kitchenette. I smile giving him a wave, when he opens the door I see the topless girl sleeping in his bed.

I try to keep the frown off my face.

He glances over his shoulder at the girl but steps outside closing his door.

"Hey," he says looking tired.

I try to give him a smile but I feel the cringe on my face.

"I was trying to catch a ride with Tanya but her car wasn't in the driveway, thought I'd stop by and say hi since I made the trip," I lie lamely.

I see the girl now stirring in the bed through the window. She's looking coolly right at me.

I back away slowly.

Edward starts to talk as I turn around making my escape.

I make the fifteen-minute walk from Tanya's house to the school. The parking lot is full with everyone catching up on the weekend.

My dad said I was lucky those photos didn't get out. Sue talked with Jessica and her parents explaining what would happen if Jess or anyone for that matter released the photos. Jessica, being the idiot she was, didn't know that possessing those photos was a child pornography charge.

I heard Sue tell my dad she cried thinking she was going to go to jail, that's when she threw Alice under the bus for giving her my passwords. I knew this was bigger than the two of them.

Tanya is leaning against her car, Maggie is beside her while they quietly talk. I look around for Jazz but don't see him. I was still not sure how pissed Tanya is with me because her parents had to be notified of her party, so I chose to steer clear.

I make my way to the entrance, my path is soon blocked by Rosalie.

Her blonde hair is Victoria's Secret voluminous and thinks she's Britney Spears a la Baby One More Time.

"If it isn't the tattletale," Rosalie says.

"You do get that I didn't tell anything, everything you morons did was traceable," I say, shoving my way past her.

"You're jealous," she says.

"Of what, exactly?" I snort.

"That Royce chose me," she snips.

"You. Are. Delusional." I enunciate. "Royce is vile, you can have him."

"He said you threw yourself at him but he turned you down that's why you drank yourself to near death," she bites out.

I roll my eyes, walking away from her.

She was huffing and puffing in my wake but I didn't care once I was at my locker, Jazz appeared beside me with a smile.

We're twins, his Grateful Dead tee matching mine.

"Jailbird," he says sweetly.

"I feel like one," I mumble, closing my locker.

"It's already that kind of day?" he asks, leaning against my locker.

I didn't want to go into my embarrassment with Edward this morning or Rosalie's stupid accusations so I shrugged him off.

"Did you tell your dad everything?" he murmurs quietly.

I shake my head.

"I'm tired of hearing his disappointment with me," I tell him.

"What happened wasn't your fault," Jazz insists.

I nod.

"We know that, but he has been on my ass about my inappropriate attire. I can only imagine what he'd say."

"Your dad doesn't strike me as the type to say you were asking for it," he says honestly.

I used to think that until he started telling me what I was doing wrong.

"We're going to be late," I tell him, brushing past him to get to homeroom.

Jess is already sitting in homeroom when we arrive, she's glaring at me. The school only knows I spent the night in the pool house with Tanya's cousin, nothing else. Jess and Alice had access to the photos of me and Jake, but neither of them had possession. That is why they weren't charged.

I had heard from Maggie, before we left the Cullen's Sunday, that they panicked once they discovered my passwords changed for everything but the iCloud.

Sue was confident those photos wouldn't see the light of day.

"Tanya said something about taking lunch off campus today," Jazz says casually.

"I don't think I can go, if Charlie finds out it will be another thing to add to his ever-growing list," I tell him with a slight smile. "Don't change your plans on my account."

"You sure?"

"Positive."

He looks wary but lets it drop once Banner comes into the room to take attendance.

When I see Tanya she doesn't seem mad at me, only aloof. My day isn't horrible but I can feel the frostiness coming off Rosalie and her minions.

At lunch, I sit with Angela.

"Are your friends out today?" she asks.

"They got lunch off-campus, my guess would be the diner," I explained while taking a bite of my apple.

"You didn't want to go."

"Can't, grounded," I tell her.

"Was it over the photo with Tanya's cousin?" she asks shyly.

"Kind of, there is a little more to it than that, but yeah I didn't think it would look good if I left and my dad possibly finds out."

"How long are you grounded for?"

"A month, no socializing with friends outside of school, no phone or social media of any kind," I say, taking another bite of my apple.

"How do you feel about that?" she asks tentatively.

I shrug.

I watch the people in the cafeteria, most are laughing with their friends ignorant to the misery some of the people in this room face or maybe their smiles are masks and they are facing the real misery.

I fight the urge to roll my eyes at myself.

"Ben Cheney is staring at you," I tell Angela.

Her cheeks heat, it's cute.

"I doubt that," she mutters.

I look again and he's looking right at her. Ben was a wide receiver on the football team and mostly kept to himself. He was a bit of a babe with his piercing blue eyes and dark hair. His best friend is Brady McCarty who is our resident class clown, I knew they didn't hang with Royce's crew.

I move slightly in front of Angela, waving at Ben. He looks a little startled that he'd been found out. Angela's eyes widened, causing me to giggle.

"When a cute boy is looking at you like that, throw him a bone," I tease, nudging her with my shoulder.

"I don't even know what to say to him," she murmurs.

"Start with hi," I advise.

She glares at me only making me laugh harder.

I wasn't forward with guys per se before the situation with Royce. I was fairly confident but I wasn't a flaunter. The right guy would work for my attention and respect me as his equal. I didn't think I'd find that until college, high school boys were a disappointment.

I think of Edward, but brush that thought off as soon as it enters my head. He seemed okay at first glance, but I knew nothing about him other than he just graduated college, hated criminal law, and had a naked girl in his bed this morning.

Maybe he had been seeing her for the last few weeks?

I shake my head.

"I have Health with him, maybe I'll talk to him then?"

"You should, Cheney is good people," I say encouragingly.

Once the bell rings I chant to myself that I only have two more periods left.

In Gym, Royce tries to pelt me with a dodge ball but I catch it throwing it back hitting him in his face. Coach Clapp grumbles that he thinks his nose is broken, but I also hear him say maybe I should join the team.

I school my features from the bleachers when he says that.

"She meant to do that," Rosalie shrieks hysterically from Royce's side like the mindless zombie she's become.

"It was an accident," Coach Clapp says, giving her a look to silence her. I mostly think it's to shut her up so he doesn't have to fill out an incident report.

Rosalie keeps on howling for a good five minutes before the coach finally dismisses our class.

"You have a hell of an arm, Swan," Brady says from beside me as we walk back to the locker rooms.

"It was a one-time occurrence," I told him.

He snorts and I smile, shaking my head.

I hurry to get changed since only a few of us came back to change. Rosalie is too distracted with her boyfriend's injury, which bought me some time before she can harass me for maiming her man.

As I get dressed I notice my bra is missing, I sigh, throwing my shirt on over my head, I could care less if I was braless or not. I have a pretty good idea who swiped it but I have only one period left for the day.

The t-shirt was a little snug against my chest to begin with but now my nipples are visible through the thin material, when the bell rings I go to my locker to grab my jacket.

I run my hand through my hair once I take my seat in the auditorium for study hall. I can feel the tension in my shoulders build, this afternoon had been spiraling. How could so many things happen in one day?

I slump down in my seat deciding to take a nap for the remainder of my time here. I take my jacket off covering my head with it, closing my eyes until the dismissal bell rings.

Tanya and Jazz wave at me as I pass them in the parking lot, I nod, starting the walk to my house.

"Swan," I hear being bellowed once I'm on Main Street.

I turn to see Emmett McCarty and Edward standing at the gate of the new parking lot going in next to the diner. They both are dusty.

I wave but try to walk past them without much more, it's Emmett who blocks my path.

"I'm hurt you are trying to ignore me," he feigns sadness, touching his heart.

"I need to get home," I say simply.

I catch Edward staring at my tits, I glare closing my jacket.

"Where's the fire?" Em tries again.

"Chief Swan is the fire," I tell him.

"He got you on lockdown or something? What's the sentence?"

I want to roll my eyes at him but Emmett like Brady is just a big burst of joyful energy.

"A month, no socializing outside of school, no phone or social media."

Edward makes a surprised noise but doesn't comment.

"What'd you do?"

I shrug, looking past them to where the station sits down the road.

"If you ask me a month isn't so bad—"

"She didn't ask you, Emmett," Edward says, finally speaking up.

"Can I go now?" I ask impatiently.

Emmett waves me on and Edward has a dumb frown on his perfect face.

"Did you have to do that?" I hear Edward snap when I'm a few feet away.

"I'm no idiot, you talk to a pretty girl when they pass, Ed," Emmett says like it's a rule.

I smile at that, walking the rest of the way home.

I stop when I see Jake sitting on the porch.

His raven locks are in a man bun on the top of his head. His tight gray t-shirt stretches tightly against his shoulders and chest, his light worn jeans tattered.

"You were there for my grounding, so are you trying to get me into even more trouble with Charlie?" I ask him as he stands.

"I wanted to talk to you,"

"Oh, now you want to talk? I thought you were mute," I told him.

"The other day was like a make no sudden movements kind of thing."

I roll my eyes at him.

"Those photos were your idea and I was stupid enough to listen to you— 'No one will ever see them, Bella' you promised," I mock him, throwing my arms up.

"Well, no one would have seen them if your friends didn't know your password."

"Leave," I spit, pointing at his bike.

"I really did want to check on you," he sighs.

I'm still pointing at his bike.

He stands heaving out another sigh.

Jacob would be considered an attractive guy, except when he opens his mouth that perception goes away. He's nothing but a Neanderthal with a big dick.

I pass him to unlock the front door.

I march my way upstairs, slamming my door.

I slide down until I'm on the floor, crying.
