Later, in Foggy Bottom, Ace and Riff were running frantically to the receptionist in the hospital's lobby...
Ace: (breathing and panting) Has anyone just been admitted here?!
Receptionist: (looks through a file) A tall girl has been carried here by our city's Kittie Katrastrophe Crew. Do you know her?
Ace: (nods) Yes, that's Lila, one of my best friends!
Riff: Was she the one who had a hard fall from the sky?
Receptionist: From what the mayor told me, she tried to jump off from a plane that was hit, onto a close tree, but she had missed it, and had a high fall that broke a few bones.
Ace: What room is she in?!
After the receptionist told Ace and Riff Lila's room number, they ran down the hallway, to where they saw the crippled sasquatch-human lying in the bed...
Ace: Lila! What happened?! Are you okay?!
Lila: (small smile) I'm fine, Ace. I tried to jump off your place, and tried to land on a tree, but because I didn't have much time to change into a sasquatch, I jumped off pretty quickly, and certainly missed the mark.
Riff: Well, it looks like you took a nasty fall, kid.
Ace: (now fully calmed down) Lila, this is Riff Rockenbock, a popular rock and roll racer. Her racecar has stereo speakers used for speed!
Lila: (astonished) That's incredible. Nice to meet you, riff.
Riff: Pleasure's all mine, Lila.
Ace: (stunned) You saved my life, Lila. You ejected me when my plane was crashing, even though it meant you could get yourself killed. Why would you do that?
Lila: Ace, you're a hugely popular stunt pilot here. I saw some online videos of you performing impossibly hard stunt tricks on a moving plane, something that I can't do. Anyway, your life here is much more important than mine. Think of how your fans, especially Skye, would think if they heard you had perished.
Ace, touched by what Lila said, went to the sasquatch-human's bedside, and gently hugged her, to which Lila hugged ace, too.
Ace: Thank you, but I think I still could have help you stop those naughty troublemakers.
Lila: It wasn't possible. I knew they hit your plane so hard it was going to crash instantly, so I had to do what I thought was the right thing.
Ace, Lila, and Riff looked at each other for a few moments, until Mayor Humdinger came in, and cleared his throat to get their attention. They saw him and Harold next to the door, with something important to say...
Humdinger: Ryder sent us a message, saying that there is a powerful red ruby hidden somewhere in the jungle. If they can find it, we all have a chance to stop that opposing alliance together!
Harold: We can't let the ones who will destroyed our world find it, because, word got out, they already have 2 powerful treasures already! If they get it first, all our worlds are doomed!
Riff: This means the Paw Patrol have to get that red ruby before those baddies do!
Ace: That's right!
Lila: Ace, since I physically can't do this task myself, would you mind doing it for me?
Ace: No, I don't mind, Lila. What is it?
Lila: I've been reading my parents' small black book while I was in here, to find out where they were at when they disappeared. I found out they were lost in the city of Foggy Bottom! Would you be willing to check out if there's any sign of my parents still being around here?
Ace: (nodding) Absolutely.
Lila hands Ace her parents' book, and told her to take good care of it, while Mayor Humdinger remembered something familiar...
Humdinger: I remember reading something in the paper about a rumored sasquatch sighting here in the town some years ago. I wanted to see it, so I had to drive to the place where the sighting was. Unfortunately, when I got there, there was no sign of any bigfoot-like monsters.
Ace: Mayor Humdinger, can you take us where that place was?
Humdinger: (nods) Follow me.
The Foggy Bottom mayor took Harold and Ace in his truck, on a drive through the city, with Riff right behind them in her racecar. They were going to the location where the mayor had thought that Lila's parents were last spotted...
