Authors Note: This is the third installment in my series first two being "girl in the city" and "woman in the city" they follow the life of Lorelai my OC. If you don't read the first two first this one may be confusing.
At this point the story line would be around season 12/2016 time. However, I'm not following the plot as it is anymore as I love the original team to much.
This story will contain spankings, and smut in future chapter. Not your thing don't read.
This story picks up about 9 months after baby Hailey is born.
I went back and forth as to if I was going to actually write their vows to each other, so I hope you love them as much as I do.
Happy Reading

Lorelai looked at herself in the mirror of her bathroom. Her hair was done. Make up done and she was standing in the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. It was her wedding dress. It was a formfitting dress that hugged all her curves in all the right places. The bottom flared out. It was covered in a top overlay of lace. Lorelai flashed back to when she was trying it on at the bridal shop just a couple months ago.
*flashback*
Lorelai stood in the dressing room at the bridal shop. Looking at herself in the mirror. She had been trying on dress after dress and none of them had been the right one. Till this one. It fit her perfectly. The lace overlay was put on with the help of the consultant.
"Wow. That just makes it even more. Perfect." She said
She went out to show the dress off to her girls.
Becca, Rachel, Emily, Penny, JJ, Kate, Hannah, and Jessica.
They all looked at her. "Lorelai. You are gorgeous." Becca said
"Wow. Lorelai. That dress. It looks…" Jessica started
"Looks what?" Lorelai asked
"Have you never seen your dad's wedding photos?" Jessica asked
"No." Lorelai said
"That dress. Is similar to Hailey's dress." Jessica said
Lorelai took a breathe. "Really?"
Jessica nodded and pulled up a picture on her phone of Hailey in a wedding dress that looked almost identical to the one on Lorelai.
Lorelai smiled. "I guess we did have similar tastes in clothing."
"And it looks perfect on you." Emily said with a smile
Lorelai smiled and looked in the mirror again. This was her dress.
*end flashback*
Now it was the wedding day. The girls had all come over early that morning to get their hair and make-up done and help Lorelai into her dress. She was about ready. She just needed her jewelry. She went to her dresser and picked up the earrings putting them on. They were her something borrowed. They belonged to Emily, and she had seen them when she was helping her, and Lily move into her dad's place and when she was getting married she asked her if she could borrow them. Her something new was her dress. Her something blue was blue flowers in her bouquet and her something old was the locket necklace that she had received on her twenty-first birthday. She went over to her nightstand where she always put it when she was showering which was the only time she really ever took it off since being on maternity leave but it wasn't there. She looked behind the nightstand to see if it had fallen behind and she started to panic when she didn't see it. She started to move the nightstand.
Becca heard and came in. "Hey. What are you looking for?"
"My necklace. I took it off to shower and now its not here." Lorelai said almost in tears.
"Hey. Hey. Its okay. We will find it." Becca said going over to her and putting a hand on her shoulder. "Just sit. Take a breathe."
Lorelai did so.
Becca went out to the rest of the bridal party. "We have a missing necklace. It's her locket. She took it off before she showered. We need to find it."
The girls started to look all over.
Emily came into her room and into the bathroom before coming out with it in hand. "It was on the bathroom counter." She said softly. "You probably just forgot moving it in the excitement of the morning."
Lorelai took a breathe and nodded.
"Found it." Emily called out so the others could stop looking.
"Lor. I know I'm not your mom and I would never try to replace her. And I didn't know Hailey that well, but I know you didn't get nearly enough time with her. But I do not think she would not want you crying on your wedding day because of her. And necklace or not she is with you. In your heart." Emily said holding the necklace out to her.
"Can you help me with it?" Lorelai asked
Emily smiled and nodded and helped her put it on.
"And no, you're not my mom Emily. But you make my dad so happy. And you take care of my brother and sister so you're the closest thing I have to one right now." Lorelai said. "And you treat my daughter like your granddaughter." Lorelai said
"Its very easy when I love you all." Emily said
Lorelai nodded. "We all love you too."
"Now. You ready?" Emily asked
Lorelai touched the necklace and took a breathe. She smiled and nodded "Yes." She went out and everyone headed out to the limo.

Meanwhile at the hall. Everything was ready. Spencer was pacing waiting to be told it was time. Derek noticed he seemed nervous. "You alright?" he asked
"I'm just nervous. Lorelai has been abit off the last couple weeks. What if she has changed her mind?" Spencer asked.
Derek shook his head. "She just had a lot to do to finish preparing. We men are lucky. The women do all the planning and for the most part we just have to show up." Derek said "When I look at you and Lorelai's interactions. Outside of work. I don't think there are two people more suited for each other than you two. With the exception of Penny and Myself." He said with a small smirk.
Spencer chuckled. "I hope Lor, and I can be as happy and you two are."
"You mean you two aren't already happy?" Derek asked
Spencer smiled. "I hope we can continue to be. I know all these stats. Even if you have lived together for years. When you get married something changes. It doesn't make sense but that's what the statistics say. The first two years of a marriage is the hardest years of a relationship."
"I know you're all about science and statistics. But love can't be measured. Just think about how much you love her. And how you would do anything to make her happy. And she would do whatever to make you happy too. I'm not saying marriage comes without some challenges. But you two will work though those challenges together." Derek said before looking at his phone. "And your bride is here so we need to get out there." Derek added
Spencer took a breathe and stood up. Derek fixed Spencer's tie that was a bit wonky and the two of them went out to join the rest of the grooms side of the wedding party outside of the hall where the wedding ceremony was being held.
When Lorelai had gotten to the hall where the wedding was being held. Lorelai had arranged for a first look for her dad. The photographer was standing there taking pictures.
Lorelai put her hand on her dad's shoulder. "Hi daddy." She said softly
Aaron took a breathe before he turned around and his jaw dropped. "You used Hailey's dress?"
Lorelai smiled and shook her head. "Its similar. By conscience, but not the same."
"Your beautiful Lorelai. A beautiful bride." He said choking back tears. His little girl was standing there in a wedding dress. And she didn't look so little anymore. And she looked beautiful.
Lorelai hugged him tight holding back her own tears.
He hugged her back and looked at her when the hug was broken.
"You ready?" He asked
"Yes." Lorelai said.
He linked her arm with his and lead her to where they needed to go.
The ceremony started.
Rebecca was her maid of honor. Rachel, JJ, Penny, Emily, Hannah her bridesmaids. Her little cousin Natasha and her sister Lillian her flower girls. Derek was Spencer best man. David, Will, John and Hunter his groomsmen. Henry and Jack the ring barriers. It was a large wedding party, but Lorelai refused to let anyone feel left out.
The wedding march song started, and Lorelai walked down with her dad.
Spencer watched his bride come down the isle. She was beautiful. How did he get so damn lucky? He wondered. When she got to the end. Her dad handed her hands over to Spencer who took them in his. Aaron whispered something to Spencer and Spencer smiled and nodded before looking back at his bride.
The ceremony commenced. They said their vows of which they wrote their own.
Spencer looked at Lorelai and started his vows.
"From the moment I laid eyes on you that first day I met you I knew. I knew that you were going to become someone of great importance to me. As I grew to know you. Through all the ups and downs one thing never changed. That you were always there for me. You have given me more than I ever thought possible. You have given me not only your true self, but you gave me our baby girl. When I see you as a mother I cant imagine doing this parent thing with anyone but you. When I am with you everything else fades away. The worry, the fears, the struggles all of it I know I can face with you by my side. I promise to be your navigator and partner through all of it from now till the end of time. I promise to be the person you can come to when everything in your life isn't going as you want. A shoulder to cry on, a person you can tell it all to without judgement. And I promise you can always be your true self around me and that you will never have to change to make me happy because you are everything good in this world and in my life. The easiest thing I have ever done is loving you. Because you are the true love of my life."
At this point a lot of the people there were in tears. Including Lorelai. The officiant looked at Lorelai. It was her turn. She took a breathe to steady herself to start.
"Spenc. When I first joined the team I never knew how lucky I would get to meet someone as amazing as you. When I was a little girl and dreamed about my future. Things changed in those dreams, but one thing never did. That the person I would marry. Would be kind, loving, understanding, forgiving, intelligent and accepting of all that I am. And you are everyone of those thing and so much more. I know that loving me takes a lot of patience as we both know how stubborn and hard-headed I can be. And even through the ups and downs of our relationship you have always been a good friend and someone who would drop everything to come save me from the troubles I often find myself in. I promise to be all that and more for you too. I will always come to help you. You and our daughter will always be my priority. I promise to be your guiding light in the darkness, a warming comfort in the cold and a shoulder to lean on when life is to much to bear on your own. I vow to protect you from harm, to stand with you against your troubles and to turn you to you when I need protection. Today I say I do. But that means I will. I will take your hand and stand by your side in the good and the bad."
She finished her vows tears streaming down her face. Spencer reached up and gently wiped away her tears. There wasn't a dry eye in the house at this moment. Even the officiant was struggling.
He looked at the couple before him. "I have officiated a lot of weddings. And usually, I can gage by the way the couple are if I think they are going to last. And I can say with upmost certainty that you two will make it through all the hard times." He said before he continued with the ceremony.
And in the end the officiant announced they were married and that they could kiss.
They kissed and everyone cheered. Spencer took her hand after they kissed and led her towards the entrance of the building. Spencer kissed her again dipping her as they entered the building from outside where their wedding was being held causing everyone to cheer again. Everyone came in following them.
Spencer and Lorelai went with the photographer to get some photos. Eventually the wedding party joined them for some photos as well.
While they were taking photos Lorelai looked at Spencer. "What did my dad whisper to you during the ceremony?"
Spencer chuckled. "He told me good luck. You were a handful and that if I ever hurt you I better find a way into space because nowhere else would be safe."
Lorelai chuckled. "Like you didn't know I was a handful already."
Spencer nodded with a smile. "Oh. Yes I did. And I am ready to handle your handful tendencies."
Lorelai chuckled. "Like you don't already."
When they were all done with photos they went and joined the rest of the guests.
They had their first dance and father daughter/ mother son dance. They had arranged to make sure Spencer's mother could be there for the wedding. She was doing well, and she had really wanted to be there so Lorelai and Spencer made sure that she could.
Aaron danced with his daughter, and he looked at her and smiled.
"What?" Lorelai asked him as they danced
"When you walked into my office your first day. You told me you knew about what I was thinking. But I had wondered if the director was pulling some sort of joke on me. Because of how young you looked and how young you were. I had been told you were young but was expecting someone a little older. And technically you were younger than either of us knew." He said. "But I think it was more the universe, karma whatever you want to call it playing the joke. Because I would never have guessed I would be dancing with you on your wedding day as your dad. And I'm so proud of who you have become. The agent, mother, and woman all around you are everything any dad would hope his daughter would be. And you have found a good man whom I know I will never have to worry about being anything but loving towards you and will always take care of you. And who can handle everything you are." He said
Lorelai was tearing up a bit. She chuckled at the last thing he said. "He told me what you said to him at the alter."
"I figured he would." Aaron said with a smile.
"And I have to admit walking into your office that day I would never have imagined how my life would change. How lucky I would get to finding a parent and my family. Who truly loves me. Who would die to protect me and who comes running every time I mess up to help me fix the mistakes. And to kick my ass afterwards. I will never be able to thank you enough for saving my life. On more than one occasion. People talk about their heroes. You are mine." She said
The dance ended and Aaron wrapped her in a tight hug. Lorelai hugged him tight back.
Meanwhile Spencer and his mother were talking while they danced.
"You really have made a family for yourself here. Not just Lorelai and Hailey but all of the people you work with." Diana told her son
Spencer nodded. "We all just fell in very well. And when Lorelai came around she gently pushed us even closer."
"Gently? Why do I feel that it was less than gently?" Diana asked with a smile
Spencer chuckled. "She can be pushy when the need be yes."
"I see how happy she makes you. And I see how you treat her. I'm proud of you Spencer. Not just because of how smart you are but also because of the way you act and treat people." Diana said
Spencer shrugged.
"No Spencer. You are better than your father or I ever have been." She said
Spencer smiled abit. "Thank you. But you did the best you could and well he. He choose not to be a part of our lives. I wont be making that choice when it comes to my wife and child."
Diana nodded. "Well, I'm proud none the less." She said the dance ended and everyone went back to their seats.
After the obligator dances and eating and speeches it was time for the dance party to begin and ended in the early morning hours. Some had left already to get kids home to bed. And at around 2am Spencer whisked his wife off to their hotel room.

Spencer and Lorelai went to a hotel for a couple night. They weren't going on a honeymoon with having a nine-month-old. They were just spending a couple nights in a nice hotel and leaving Hailey with Rebecca and Theo for the few days. In the past nine months Rebecca had moved out with Theo so the two of them were watching Hailey.
Spencer and Lorelai truly enjoyed the night. And slept in the next morning. When they woke up the just laid there snuggled into each other.
"So, Mrs. Reid. What would you like for breakfast?" Spencer asked
Lorelai smiled. "Hotchner-Reid." She said. She wanted to take Spencer's last name, but she also wasn't ready to give up Hotchner.
"I know." He said with a smile
"I'm not really hungry." She said
"You didn't eat much last night either." He said
"I didn't have time. And I think my emotions were all over the place. I wasn't really hungry." Lorelai said
"I get that. But it's the next day and you need to eat." Spencer said
Lorelai nodded abit. "You're right. I think I'm just still in wedding brain."
"That's a good or bad thing?" Spencer asked
"Well. Its good because it meant I had an amazing time. It was perfect. But its time to just focus on you and me. Enjoy our honeymoon." Lorelai said
Spencer nodded and ordered them their food.
While they were waiting Lorelai called Becca to check in on Hailey
"She's great." Becca said. "Loves Theo more than I me." She said with a chuckle
"Yeah. She loves the boys. She would step over me to get to her dad if she could walk." Lorelai said
Becca chuckled. "Its like she forgets who feeds her."
"Right?!" Lorelai said "Glad she's doing well. Tell her mommy and daddy love her and we will see you all tomorrow." She said before she hung up.
When their food came they ate. Lorelai ate slowly.
"You sure you're okay?" Spencer asked
Lorelai smiled and nodded.
When they finished eating they got ready for the day.
Her and Spencer had an afternoon of wine tasting planned, so they went and had a good time. They went for a nice dinner that night as well before going back to the hotel and just spending the night together practicing at making a baby.
