The guy who was in the back with her smirked at her. "We know how much you want to see Lennox. So, we are going to take you to her." he said
Lorelai gave the guy a confused look.
"You wondering why?" He asked
Lorelai nodded.
"It will all be explained later." He said
Lorelai took a breathe and let tears fall. Would she ever see her baby girl again? If she died would Spencer be okay? She thought about the last thing she said to her dad. Why did she say that? Would be the last words she ever said to him?
The truck drove for about half an hour before it stopped, and Lorelai was pulled out and dragged to a room and pushed to sit onto a small couch. She looked around. She couldn't see anyone else in the room. One of her captors looked at her. "I can remove the tape over your mouth. But don't scream. Its pointless." He said
Lorelai nodded.
The tape was removed.
"You said I would see Lennox. Where is she?" Lorelai asked
"Patience is a virtue." The man said with a smirk
"Well, its not one of mine." Lorelai said
"Well, I can answer some of those questions." A voice said
Lorelai made a face. The voice was familiar. But she couldn't place it.
"Don't recognize my voice? I'm hurt. If it wasn't for me you wouldn't have been anything." The female voice said.
Lorelai's heart stopped and she turned from confused to angry.
"You are not her. She is dead!" Lorelai screamed
"Oh really?" The voice said as she stepped into the light where Lorelai could see her she had a smirk on her face.
"No! She is dead! She is fucking dead! Kevin killed her! Rebecca saw it! They found her body!" She screamed.
"Or. Just maybe. Everyone lied to you." Her former foster mother said with a chuckle
"NO! They wouldn't do that to me! They are my family! They love me!" Lorelai said
"Nope. They don't." She told Lorelai.
"Okay lets say for one second I believed you. Why would you take Lennox?" Lorelai asked
"Needed someone who would get your attention but not draw to many questions to the connection to you." She said
Lorelai shook her head. "You are not her. I don't know who you are, but you are not her."
"Ask me questions only I would know if you don't believe me." The woman said
Lorelai started asking question after question and the woman answered them all correctly.
A couple hours later Lennox was dropped off at a safe location and the police got a call saying where to pick her up. The police went and got her. She had been unharmed. In fact, she was unaware that she was in any danger. The person who picked her up claimed to be her biological mother and wanted to talk to her. During that time Lorelai's car was found. In the middle of the road. The drivers side door wide opened. The person who found it knew something was wrong, so they reported it. When the car was identified, and Spencer was called to ask about his wife, and he was told what he been found. He let Hotch know who told the director. And it instantly became an FBI case and Will was happy to welcome the help at that point.
They all were sent out to different locations to try and find some clues to find their agent and how Lennox was linked to all this. John told the police about who her biological mother was, and she was contacted but she had nothing to do with this.
Lorelai was unaware how much time had gone by, but it had been thirty hours she had been asking everything under the sun she could think off that this woman would know only if she was her former foster mother.
"How the fuck do you know all these things?!" Lorelai asked she was exhausted, and she hadn't even seen Lennox yet. She was starting to believe that she had been lied to for all these years. That her dad and her best friend had lied to her. That the family that she had come to trust with her life and the life of her baby had lied to her. That the man who she married and shared her deepest secrets with had lied to her. But there was two final questions that she knew with her whole heart that only her former foster mother would know. But she was so scared to ask the questions for fear of the tiny bit of her that was holding it together would completely break. That the small part of her that was holding on to all the times she had been told she was loved and that they would have her back hadn't been a lie.
"Give it up. I'm her." She said. It was just the two of them in the room at this point.
"Who did you have an affair with?" Lorelai asked the woman. She needed to know the truth. Whatever it was. She was so tired and just needed the truth.
The woman made a face.
Lorelai took a breathe. "Who did you have an affair with? And who did that produce?"
The woman narrowed her eyes. "I don't know what you are talking about."
Lorelai broke down sobbing. This wasn't her former foster mother. "Than you are not her!" Lorelai screamed between sobs.
"She never had an affair!" The woman screamed
"She? You mean you!?" Lorelai screamed back tears streaming.
The woman went and grabbed Lorelai by the hair and pulled her off the couch. Lorelai had managed to get the ropes behind her back untied earlier but kept it to herself. She reached up and grabbed the woman's wrists and twisted with all her might and managed to throw her down on the ground hard. The woman hit the ground hard with a yelp.
Lorelai undid the ropes on her ankles before climbing on top of her and started to punch at her
"That's for taking Lennox and traumatizing another child for no fucking reason!" She screamed. Just than the door got knocked down and in came Aaron and Spencer.
Lorelai continued to punch. "And that's for trying to make me think my family lied to me and didn't have my back."
Spencer grabbed Lorelai and tried to pull her off, but Lorelai fought it. Will helped Spencer and together they both pulled her off. Spencer pulled her out of the room. "Its okay. Its over." Lorelai wrapped her arms around Spencer and just sobbed.
Spencer held her tight. "Its all over. Its okay. She is not her. She is not her." he said.
"Reid. Get her out of here." Hotch ordered.
Spencer took her out to a waiting ambulance.
"Wait no. What about Lennox? Where is she?" She asked Spencer.
"She wasn't here. She wasn't hurt. They returned her once they had you." Spencer said.
"What?!" Lorelai said
"I will tell you everything. I promise. But you are hurt. Lets get you fixed up first." Spencer said
Lorelai laid down on the stretcher and Spencer sat next to her in the ambulance letting the paramedic do her job but just being there.
When they got to the hospital she was taken into a room. Everything started happening fast and Lorelai was zoning out and just aware that there were people moving around her quickly. That she was being pokes and prodded at and having countless tests done and she didn't fight any of it.
Eventually she was getting her wrist wrapped. It had been sprained. Probably when she had to fight off the woman. The doctor asked her something which was bringing her back to reality.
"Sorry. What?" She said
"Pain level. And don't lie." He said with a small smile. This doctor had seen her countless times in the last few years.
Lorelai took a breathe. "Worst is probably the headache and the wrist. About a 7." She said
The doctor nodded. "That's not a lie?"
"No." Lorelai said
The doctor nodded. "Okay. Seven is pretty high. Do you want pain killers?"
"No. I cant I breastfeed." She said she looked at Spencer. "Hailey! Is she okay?!"
Spencer nodded. "She is fine. She is with Rachel." He assured her taking her good hand in his.
Lorelai took a breathe.
"I can give you something that wont cause any issues." The doctor said
"Come on Lor. Please." Spencer said
Lorelai nodded. "Okay. Yes. Thank you."
The doctor wrote up a script and gave handed it to her.
"You're going to be sore but only should be for a few days. The wrist for a few weeks. If after that there is still pain. Come back or go to your GP." The doctor said
"Yes doctor." Lorelai said
She was released.
"Who is she?" Lorelai asked
"Someone who was in love with your former foster mother. She had a lot of plastic surgery done to look like her. Also evidence she worked with a speech therapist. She wanted to sound like her too. For obvious reason." He said
Lorelai nodded.
"Why me?" Lorelai asked
"Come on. You know the answer to that." Spencer said
"Because I brought the foster home down." Lorelai said
"Probably. Morgan and Rossi are currently interrogating her. In another room of the hospital" Spencer said. "You really laid into her."
"Can I? Can we go watch? Please." Lorelai looked up at him.
"I don't think that is a good idea." Spencer said
"Please. I promise I wont interfere. I just want to watch." Lorelai said
"Call Hotch and ask." Spencer said
Lorelai called her dad and put it on speaker.
"Lorelai. How are you feeling? I can come to your room if you need me." Aaron said
"I've been discharged." She said "I want to come see her. Please." She added
"Lorelai. I don't think…" Hotch said
"She was trying to convince me that she was my former foster mother. That she hadn't been killed. That Rebecca, Kevin, you, and the entire team had lied to me. That the last years had all be some manipulative lie." Lorelai said in tears. "Please. Let me watch it."
Aaron took a breathe. "Watch only. You need to promise me you will not interfere."
"I promise I will only watch and not interfere." Lorelai said
"Okay. Yes you can come watch it." Aaron said.
Lorelai and Spencer went to the room and Lorelai went in.
Rossi and Morgan looked up. Hotch was behind her and nodded that it was okay she was there. Lorelai stood at the door.
"So why Lorelai? There were lots of girls to pick from. Why the FBI agent who has a team who would go to the end of the earth to find her?" Morgan asked. Knowing she was watching he wanted her to get some answers to questions he knew she would have.
"She is the reason the woman I love is dead." The woman said
"She didn't kill her." Rossi said
"No. But she told the person who did to do it." The woman said
"Who told you that?" Morgan asked
"The person who killed her. Kevin" The woman said
"The man who is in prison for taking Lorelai and several other people hostage. And you believe him?" Rossi asked
"You think you know Lorelai. But you don't. She is a manipulative brat. Convinced people that their foster mother was abusing them. When it was Lorelai who abused them. Day in and out." The woman said
"Really? Than why when we went and spoke to those girls. Long after Lorelai left were they still covered in bruises." Morgan asked
"They did that to themselves because they were so scared of Lorelai doing worse." The woman said
Lorelai took a breathe. Nothing she was saying was true. She knew that but it still hurt that the woman was trying to throw her name and reputation under the bus.
Spencer put a hand on her shoulder and whispered in her ear. "No one believes that."
Lorelai nodded.
Morgan and Rossi got up and left the room. The woman had stopped talking at that point anyways. They pulled Lorelai and Aaron out as well.
"That woman needs to be confronted with the only person who she is scared of." Morgan said
"And who is that?" Lorelai asked
"You." Rossi said
"What?" Lorelai said "She held me against my will for almost two days. She is not scared of me." Lorelai said.
"Lorelai. She had plans. To kidnap every girl who was in that home. She started with you because you would be the one to go full force to find them. With you out of the way. It was easier." Morgan said
Lorelai shook her head. "I made a promise. To only observe. And I'm not an active agent at the moment either."
"Do you think you could do it? If you were allowed." Hotch said
"I mean. I don't know. I'm not at my best at the moment." Lorelai said
Aaron gently took her away from the group
"Look at me." Aaron said softly
Lorelai looked at him.
"The Lorelai I know would not let anyone like her get under her skin." Aaron said
"What is her name?" Lorelai asked
"Francine Lines." Aaron said, "Do you remember her?"
Lorelai went back into her memories did she know this woman?
"I don't know. Maybe I would if I knew what she looked like before?" Lorelai said
Aaron pulled up a picture on the tablet he was carrying.
Lorelai looked. She sighed. "Yeah. We knew her as CeCe. She was her best friend."
"Her middle name is Cecelia. Must have gone by that." Aaron said
Lorelai nodded. "Dad. I'm sorry for what I said in your office…" She said
Aaron nodded. "Its forgiven." He squeezed her shoulder "If I give you permission do you want to go in and interrogate her?" Aaron asked
"I'm assuming you wont let me go in alone?" Lorelai said
"Nope. Rossi or Morgan. You can pick." Aaron said
"Rossi." Lorelai said
Hotch grabbed Rossi and told him the plan.
Rossi looked at her. "You ready?"
Lorelai nodded. "Might need a drink after though." Lorelai went into the room with Rossi behind.
Prentiss had come to watch the interrogation at this point as well.
The woman smirked. "Ready to admit I'm who I told you I am?"
"No. You know your DNA was taken. The fact that you got plastic surgery and did speech therapy to look, and sounds like her. We know." She looked up at Rossi. "Did she not know that?"
"She know." Rossi said
Lorelai sat down. "So. Cut the crap CeCe. I know who you are. Sorry by the way that I messed up all the work of the doctors…" She said with a smirk. The woman's face was covered in black and blue bruises, and more were forming as the time went on.
CeCe narrowed her eyes
"The fact that you were in love with her. That was a surprise though. Never picked up on that." Lorelai added.
CeCe continued to just stare attempting to intimate Lorelai.
"You know you never scared me than. And you don't scare me now." Lorelai said
"You were terrified when I had you tied up." CeCe said
"My wrists were freed after just a couple hours. You just didn't know that. And I admit. When I thought you were -her I was a little scared. But I know your not and you didn't scare me than and you don't scare me now." Lorelai said
"Oh, little girl you think you're this big tough woman now you will always be the useless little girl you have always been." CeCe in a mocking tone of voice.
Lorelai took a breathe and shook her head. "Nope. But you will have to live the rest of your life without the woman you loved." She said with a smirk.
CeCe started to yell at her in another language and that triggered a memory for her.
*Flashback*
She was alone in a small room at the foster home. She was being backed into a corner. She was clutching her stuffed bear close and crying. CeCe was saying something to her in another language and moving in closer to her.
*End flashback*
Suddenly she felt sick to her stomach. She had repressed the memory all these years. She got up and ran from the room and to the bathroom and threw up.
Emily ran after her. She got into the bathroom just in time to hear her throw up. Lorelai hadn't had a chance to close the stall door.
"Hey. Okay. Its okay." Emily said pulling her hair out of the way.
Lorelai threw up again.
Emily just stood there holding back her hair.
"How often have you done this with drunk friends?" Lorelai asked trying to break the awkwardness.
Emily chuckled. "A couple. But I know your not drunk."
"I wish I was…." Lorelai said as she flushed the toilet and stood back up.
Emily let her hair go backed up and out of the stall.
There was a knocked at the bathroom door. Emily looked out and it was Spencer with a bottle of water.
"Come on in. Just the two of us." Emily said
Spencer came in and handed her the bottle
Lorelai took a sip and swished it around in her mouth before spitting it out into the sink and taking an actually drink of the water.
"You okay?" Spencer asked
Lorelai shook her head.
"What happened?" Spencer asked
"Memory repression…" Lorelai said
Spencer nodded spouting a fact about memory repression.
Lorelai smiled abit. His facts always seemed to calm her for some reason.
"What do you remember? Emily asked
"I remember being in I think the laundry room at the foster home. With CeCe and she was backing me into a corner…. She was saying something in another language… Maybe chanting something. And she kept backing me into the corner…. And than…" tears streamed down her face.
Spencer and Emily looked at each other with a knowing look. Before looking back at Lorelai.
"And what?" Emily asked calmly. They needed her to say it.
"I honestly thought I got out without that kind of abuse. I considered myself lucky. That even though I had been punched, kicked, called every name in the book that I was never sexually abused…" Lorelai said before she completely broke down sobbing and sunk to the floor.
Spencer got down and picked her up and held her close letting all her weight be on him while she sobbed into him.
When she calmed down enough to stand on her own Spencer let her go and looked at her. "I know its hard. But you need to say it. Say the words."
Lorelai nodded. "She molested me. I would have been maybe four. Its hard to know I was so young and with the fact that I was younger than I though.."
Emily nodded. "We need to tell the others."
Lorelai shook her head. "I cant…"
"She took something from you yes but do not let her take your voice. You are so much stronger than she thinks." Emily said
Lorelai took a breathe.
Emily took a breathe. "Do you want to go back in? I can convince Hotch if he has an opposition to it."
"I don't know if that's a good idea." Spencer said
"Spencer were you ever molested as a child?" Emily asked
"No." Spencer said
"You don't know what that's like. She never got to confront her foster mother for the abuse. She deserves answers. And to confront the woman who scared little Lorelai." Emily said
Lorelai took a breathe and shook her head. "I actually thought I was done being surprised. That I had gotten past my childhood trauma. When will it be enough? When do I get to go a year without something adding trauma?" She asked before she left the bathroom with both of them.
They went back to the outside of the room.
Rossi, Morgan & Hotch were standing there.
"Um. Not easy to say this so I'm just going to say it. When she started yelling in that language it triggered a repressed memory." Lorelai said
"Okay." Aaron said
"Memory of what?" Dave asked
Spencer put a hand on her shoulder.
"CeCe molested me." She said softly
Aaron's blood boiled. Lorelai was hurting. Again. Because of trauma from that home. Again. When would she catch a break? When would she be okay?
"I want to go back in." the young agent said to Hotch
"I don't know if that's a good idea." Hotch said.
Prentiss looked at Hotch. "Forgive me if I am overstepping but she needs to."
Hotch raised an eyebrow at Prentiss before he turned his attention back to his daughter.
Hotch let out a breathe and nodded. "Fine. You can go back in. Rossi will still be with you." He said
Lorelai nodded and she and Rossi went back in.
"What the fuck happened to you?" CeCe asked
Lorelai took a breathe and smirked. "You made a critical error."
"Oh?" CeCe said
"Yelling in that language. What is it by the way?" Lorelai asked
"Arabic. Why?" CeCe asked
"You were in the clear. I had repressed that memory. The one where you were backing me into a corner of the laundry room. Chanting at me in Arabic I guess. Not repressing it anymore. And its just another charge that will be added to the list. Because I am not that scared little girl anymore. I have a voice and I know how to use it." Lorelai said
"No. But you -have a small child." CeCe said with a smirk
"Agent Rossi. Why don't you tell her what happened to the last person who threatened my child?" Lorelai said
"He is in solitary confinement." Rossi said
"So. Don't threaten my child. You are going to prison. I can make your time there far more uncomfortable with just one word to the others in general population." Hotch Jr said
"Now you are threatening me." CeCe said
"Nope. Not a threat. A promise." Lorelai said. "So, why don't you just tell us what we ask, and -maybe we will keep quiet why you're in prison."
The woman told them everything they needed to know. Who else was involved and everything that she had been planning.
"And admit what you did to her." Rossi said
CeCe sighed and rolled her eyes. "Only if you tell me who she had an affair with and who her child is."
Lorelai shook her head. "Not a chance. And this person is not her child. They have parents. Who love them. They are their child not hers."
"And you will admit what you did." Rossi said
"No." CeCe said.
"It's fine Rossi. She doesn't need to admit it. I know what she did. And my word is far more valuable then hers." Lorelai said with a smirk. "And I will make sure the other people know what she did to me." Lorelai said getting up.
Rossi got up too
"Fine. I molested you." She said quickly
Lorelai shrugged. "To late." She and Rossi walked out of the room
Lorelai took a breathe. She knew it had happened but hearing her say it was a whole different thing. She let out a breathe. "Fuck. I do not need that extra trauma."
Rossi put a hand on her shoulder. "You handled yourself very well."
"Thank you." She said, "And thank you for getting her to admit that she molested me." Lorelai said
"Of course." Rossi said
Spencer came out and went to her. "Ready to go home?" he asked
"I probably have to make a statement. And I need to talk to Hunter and Johnathan. Not that I want to face them. Their daughter was kidnapped. Because of me." Lorelai said
"They don't blame you. They told me to tell you that. That this isn't your fault." Spencer said
Lorelai nodded. She found Hotch. "Do you need my statement?"
Hotch nodded. "Morgan and JJ will take it."
Lorelai went with them to an empty room.
JJ handed her a cup of tea. "For you."
Lorelai took it and took a sip. "Thank you."
"Are you okay?" Derek asked. Everyone knew at this point what happened to Lorelai when she was a small child.
Lorelai shrugged. "I'm dealing."
"So. Lets get right to it. What happened?" Morgan asked
Lorelai told them everything that happened that led her to being abducted from start to finish. Leaving nothing out. When she was done she took a breathe.
"This was not you going after some lead that you found out somehow?" Morgan asked
"What? No! Definitely not." Lorelai said
"Okay. It was a question we had to ask." JJ said
"I get it. But I promise I was on my way to be support for John and Hunter." Lorelai said
"Okay. We believe you." JJ said
"Is that what…. others though?" Lorelai asked
Morgan let out a breathe. "It was a question."
"Not everyone thought that." JJ said
"Did Spencer?" Lorelai asked
"You need to ask him that. And anyone else directly." Morgan asked
"Did you two?" Lorelai asked
"No." JJ said
"It crossed my mind." Morgan said
Lorelai nodded a bit. "Any more questions?"
"You okay?" JJ asked
"I will be fine. Just tired. Miss my baby." Lorelai said
"Well than go home." JJ said
Lorelai got up and went. Spencer got them a cab to the FBI building where his car was. They he started the drive to the Hotchner residence.
"It was brought to my attention some of the team though I was following some lead when I got taken. Were you one of them?" Lorelai asked
"No." Spencer said
"Did my dad?" Lorelai asked
"You will have to ask him." Spencer said
Lorelai nodded.
He pulled into the driveway of the Hotchner house.
Lorelai got out and went and knocked on the door.
Rachel came and opened it.
Lorelai hugged her tight.
Rachel hugged her. "This was all connected to the foster home?"
Lorelai sighed. "How much were you told?"
"Well, when we had FBI agents at our doors watching us…" Rachel said
"Wait. What?" Lorelai said looking at Spencer.
"Your dads orders." Spencer said
"Well, where is my baby?" Lorelai asked
Rachel led them into the living room where the baby was playing.
Lorelai picked up Hailey and held her close.
"I missed you Hailey." Lorelai said.
Spencer went over and kissed Hailey's head.
"How bad is your wrist? Rachel asked
"Sprain." Lorelai said
"What happened? Who was it?" Rachel asked
"I don't know if I should tell you." Lorelai said. "Maybe ask dad."
"You know he wont tell me." Rachel said
Lorelai sighed. "If he doesn't. I will. But right now, I just want to get home."
"If who doesn't what?" Aaron asked from behind
Lorelai looked up. They hadn't heard Aaron and Emily come home.
"If you don't tell me what happened she will." Rachel said
Lorelai took a breathe.
"Really?" Aaron said
"She's not a child anymore. She deserves to know." Lorelai said
Aaron nodded. "I will think about it."
Rachel nodded and went off.
"I'm going to get this little one to bed. And get to bed myself." Lorelai said
"One thing." Aaron said
Lorelai nodded. "Okay."
"It was brought to my attention you know that there was some debate about whether or not what happened was because you were interfering." Aaron said
She nodded again. "Which side were you on?"
"I trusted that you weren't interfering." Aaron said
Lorelai let out a breathe. "Will you tell me who besides Agent Morgan doubting that?"
"No. You don't need to know. All you need to know. Is everyone was going full force to find you. Regardless." Aaron said
Lorelai nodded.
"So don't go asking anyone who you haven't already asked. Just drop it." Aaron said
"I will not make that promise." Lorelai said walking away. "Spenc. Lets go. I'm tried." She said to him when she saw him
Aaron sighed but let her go.
When Spencer, Lorelai and Hailey got home. Spencer took Hailey and got her ready for bed. Lorelai went and took a shower and than sat in the rocking chair in the nursery with Hailey in her arms feeding and rocking her.
Spencer went and showered and got ready for bed before looking into the nursery. Both were asleep in the chair.
Spencer went over and gently took Hailey to put her in her crib. Lorelai's eyes shot open and ready to defend till she saw Spencer.
"Its okay. I'm just putting her in her crib." He said softly
Lorelai nodded and got up. She went and checked that the security system was on.
Spencer went out to her. "Its secure. We are safe."
Lorelai nodded.
Spencer wrapped her in a hug. "Come on. Time for bed." He said leading her to their bedroom and into bed.
"How are you feeling?" He asked
"Honestly I don't know. I want to say that right now I'm okay but I'm not. And I have a feeling as all of this sinks in. Its going to just get worse." She said
Spencer wrapped his arms around her and pulled her in close. "You will get through this like you have everything else."
Lorelai nodded and closed her eyes and curled into him. They both fell asleep. Lorelai woke up screaming a few hours later.
Spencer woke up as well and turned the light on his night stand on and Lorelai had gotten out of bed and ran to Hailey's room to check on her. She was peacefully asleep in her crib.
Spencer went after her and when they both saw Hailey was okay he pulled her out of the room and wrapped her in a hug as she sobbed.
"Its okay. Hailey is okay. We are all okay." He said softly.
Lorelai sobbed into him. Spencer led her back to bed. "It was just a bad dream. We are all okay." He reiterated. She laid down and curled into him again. Spencer just held her and shook his head. He was so angry that she was hurting. That she really didn't seem to catch a break. She sobbed herself to sleep in his arms. Spencer didn't let her go for the rest of the night just slept with her in his arms.
