Chapter Fourteen: Don't Mess with the Specters!

~Sabine's POV~

Sneaking out while injured, while the idea should have been simple, the constant throbbing in my side made it almost impossible. Wincing slightly, I pressed my back against the steel wall of the building across from the hospital, wishing for the pain to simply disappear. Giving myself a quick shake, I pushed myself away from the wall, striding off down the street, carefully opening myself up to the Force, allowing it to guide me. I just hope that the Force doesn't expect me to fight for it in my condition...

~Mace's POV~

I flinched as the giant crate that I was crouching in was jostled suddenly. I really didn't need the smugglers to realize that their stash of spices was missing and replaced with me. They were headed to some black market, which was the best place to start looking for Ezra. And I can arrest them for being smugglers after wards.

~Ezra's POV~

I glared at my captor, who had dragged me out of the cargo hold and into the cockpit a little while ago, not liking this situation at all. If I was back in my time, I could count on my new family being there soon to save my neck. Only this time... beyond our bond, Sabine had no way of knowing if I've been kidnapped again. Heaving a heavy sigh, which sounded really disorienting with the gag in my mouth, I glanced over to the side at a knife that was just sitting there out of a sheath. Okay... maybe he wasn't that smart? Concentrating, I tugged on it with the force, sending it flying straight towards me. I flinched as it clattered loudly to the floor, catching the attention of Bane. He scanned the area, but not seeing anything turned back to his flying. Relief flooded me, even as I scooted over and began to carefully so as not to cut myself rubbed my bonds against the sharp blade...

Snap! The bonds snapped loudly, startling both of us. Quickly recovering from the loud sound, I yanked the gag from my mouth as I sprinted towards the back. Please have an escape pod...

Something heavy slammed into my back, sending me sprawling towards the ground. A cry of surprise escaped me, before I twisted around to glare at my current archenemy. "Please! Just let me go!"

"Since when do Sith have manners? That and no can do... don't get paid if I do that." Bane hauled me back up by the collar of my borrowed shirt, quickly pulling out some weird looking metal cuffs, which he quickly slapped into place. "I'll like to see you try to use the force with force-inhibitors in place."

"When Kanan finds me, he's gonna make you pay big time for this." I vaguely wondered if it was even possible for Kanan to find any of us. Or were we trapped forever in the past...? No! Don't go there Ezra!

"Doubtful." Bane snorted, as if he didn't believe in my threats at all.

~Sabine's POV~

There was a reason why sneaking through vents was something that Ezra usually did. I bit back a hiss as I tried to squeeze past another tight corner. Glancing down, I could barely make out the room below me... though the force was only leading me to this place so the darksaber must be down there... as well as someone else that I definitely recognized the force signature of. "Maul... why couldn't you die the first time?" I muttered under my breath, before pulling back the air vent cover.

Positioning myself in what I hoped was a good position to drop down, I dropped down into the room below. I landed on something soft that grunted in surprise as it buckled under my unexpected weight. Startled, I quickly jabbed my fingers forward, pinching the nerve cluster in the neck, causing whoever it was to crumble into a forced sleep underneath me. Rolling off of whoever that was, I glanced back to see that it was Maul... of all people I could have landed on... it was Maul! Shaking my head, I quickly removed first the darksaber from Maul's belt, then his own personal weapon. "Probably shouldn't leave you armed here."

"Freeze! Uh..." One of the guards had burst into the room, blinking rapidly at the sight of a known sith lord sprawled unconscious on the ground, and me tossing his weapon into a trash compactor on the other side of the room.

Shoving myself up onto my feet, I held out the darksaber to him. "I think this should be in the duchess's possession, don't you agree with that?" The guard blinked rapidly, confusion creasing his features. I heaved a sigh, before casually removing the tracker device that was placed at the base of my head, tossing it to him. "How about this... I know about this little toy of yours and I seriously don't care. I believe you have facilities that can hold Maul until the Jedi are able to pick him up."

"Seriously?!" Oh good... he didn't forget how to speak.

"By the way, this is a Death Watch hideout so you might wanna get arresting people soon."

"Seriously!?" Okay... I broke him pretty good.

~Mace's POV~

Mandalore... of all the black markets that the smugglers could have gone to... they went to the one on Mandalore!? Shaking my head, I jogged over to where the force was telling me to go, which also happened to be where there appeared to be a buzz of excitement. Spotting Satine amongst the crowd, I weaved my way over to her. "Duchess Satine! What is going on here?"

Satine spun around, surprise flashing in her eyes. "Master Windu! What are you doing here?"

Well, thanks to my blunder it was all over the news anyways so... "The Jedi had a Sith apprentice by the name of Ezra Specter in our custody... until some bounty hunter stole him from right under our noses. I'm searching him via the black market network."

"That won't work. Anyone with half a brain wouldn't take someone that the Jedi are looking for there. They'll take them directly to whoever is paying them in the first place." A young girl that I didn't recognize spoke up, one hand pressed against her waist as if her side was hurting too much for much movement.

"I don't think we've met. I am..."

"Master Windu. I heard the duchess greet you. Also, in our shared dream, Ezra mentioned you." My eyes widened in surprise as I realized that this was Ezra's force sensitive sister. "What exactly did you do to get him to like you so quickly? People try to kidnap him enough times that he usually is a bit more wary than that."

"Ezra mentioned you once... but he didn't give a name..." I gently prodded her, worry about pushing her too far nagging at me.

"Sabine." Sabine took a deep breath, an intense look entering her features as she stared me down suddenly. "Now... tell me how I can help get my little brother back."

A/N: Done! Sabine has her task on Mandalore done, and Mace has located her... and we just need to save Ezra next! *insert insane giggling that somehow turns into an evil laugh...* Anyways! I don't have much to say this time around so let's get to the reviews!
