The Bad Guys, the Ghoul Girls, and Mr. Horseman followed the Jocklin sisters to the source of the magic geyser, which happened to be a part in the forest not too far away from Spookelton Castle. They arrived to a massive hole in the ground, revealing what appeared to be an underground cavern.
Vee gasped. "The catacombs!"
"Why would there be catacombs here?" asked Wolf.
"The catacombs are connected to the dungeon of Spookelton Castle. And the catacombs are directly under the castle's cemetery. But the catacombs have all kinds of chambers and passageways. No one truly knows how far the catacombs stretch or how deep they go." Rachel explained.
When the gang got close enough, they saw the laboratory of a mad scientist. Or to be more accurate, the remains of a laboratory. The magic geyser destroyed most of the lab, but there was a huge vortex of purple magic swirling in the middle of the floor.
"I think we found the source of our geyser." said Wolf.
"I've seen this before." Sasha took out her phone and used a magic app to scan the vortex. "Whoa! That's a level twenty sinister cyclone! And it's made of the darkest magic! If we take it down, we take down the mind control spell."
"How do we take it down?" asked Webs. "Do I have to hack something?" She got her laptop ready.
Rachel shook her head. "No need. Sinister cyclones are strictly cauldron magic. So, under that cyclone is a cauldron. We just spill the cauldron and the spell will wear off!"
Just then, Wolf's sharp ears heard something. He looked up and immediaely yelled. "EVERYONE, MOVE!" he shouted.
From out of the sky, several laser blasts came hurling towards the gang. Thanks to Wolf, they flew back before the blasts hit them. Then a massive figure crashed itself to the ground. The impact was powerful enough to knock them off their broomsticks and landing hard to the ground. When the dust cleared, they saw a massive black robot that was fifteen feet tall and had a round purple center in the middle of it's chest. When Rachel and Sasha saw the familiar design of the robot, they gasped.
"That's a Techadon robot!" Sasha shouted.
"A what?!" Webs exclaimed, alarmed and at the same time amazed by the imposing robot.
Before either of the girls could explain, the Techadon robot aimed it's laser cannon arm at them and fired. Everyone dodged as the robot kept firing.
"Whatever that thing is, I'll keep it distracted!" Mr. Horseman charged forward. A broom may not be the same as his skeleton horse, Dusty, but it was good enough. The robot fired his lasers a Mr. Horseman. But the lasers bounced right off him! With the robot distracted, the gang regrouped into the forest.
"What kind of robot is that?!" asked Shark.
"A Techadon robot." said Rachel. "They're war machines made from alien technology."
"Aliens?!" Wolf shouted. "This place has aliens too?!"
Sasha shook her head. "No, but judging from that Techadon, it's a custom job. So, whoever ordered that robot is the mastermind behind all this."
Rachel turned to the still visibly stunned Tarantula. "Webs, you're a hacker, right? You're the only one who can take that machine down."
"Me?! But I've never hacked alien technology! How can I take it down?!" Webs snapped.
But Rachel and Sasha were undeterred. "You just need the right spell." said Rachel
Sasha turned to her sister. "This is gonna be a big one, isn't it?"
Rachel nodded. "Yep. And you know what that means."
Sasha threw her head back and huffed out a huge sigh.
Mr. Horseman stood his ground before the Techadon robot. He broke his weapons trying to fight this mad machine, so he was forced to rip the sleeves off his own jacket and fight with his bear hands. He was still standing, but he didn't have much strength left. His clothes were in shambles. His pumpkin head riddled with holes and scrapes.
Panting heavily, Mr. Horseman still managed to put up his fists. "I can do this all night! C'mon!" As Mr. Horseman kept the robot busy, Rachel and Sasha prepared their wands while Webs fired up her laptop. "So, what am I doing exactly?"
"First, we hook you up with this remote transmitter receiver." Rachel handed Webs the small device. "This is made from top-notch alien tech too."
"Oooh!" Webs eagerly attached the remote transmitter to her laptop.
"With it, you'll upload a virus into the Techadon robot through your laptop. The virus combined with our spell will blow up that walking toaster."
The Techadon fired another laser at Mr. Horseman. But Snake wrapped himself around the horseman's waist and was pulled up by Wolf, dodging the attack.
"So long, sucker!" Wolf called out as he, Snake, and Mr. Horseman flew up high on Wolf's broomstick. The Techadon fired another laster cannon blast directly at Wolf. Wolf didn't have time to react as he, Snake, and Mr. Horseman were shot down and falling to the ground.
"NOOOOOOOOO!" Shark screamed. He tried to help his friends, but Poppy stopped him.
"It's okay, Mr. Shark!" said Poppy. "Vee's out there! She'll make sure they're okay! We have to help get the spell ready!"
Vampirina zoomed in carrying an armful of maximummy bandages and used them to wrap up the Techadon's body. "That should hold him! Those are the toughest wraps in Transylvania." Then she ran over and caught Mr. Horseman, Snake, and Wolf.
"Upload's ready!" said Webs.
Rachel and Sasha joined hands and aimed their wands at Webs' laptop. They closed their eyes and recited the spell:
Two witch sisters, strongest of bonds.
Unleash the power within our wands.
The wind howled strong as the magic wands glowed brighter. The sisters opened their eyes, revealing them to be glowing green!
Dismantle, dismember before our eyes.
Techadon robot, meet your demise!
Rachel and Sasha shot their magic at Webs' laptop. Overflowing with magic power, the laptop fired a magic blast directly at the Techadon robot. The machine shimmered with a green light and exploded as everyone took cover.
Shark nervously opened one eye, then slowly opened the other. He looked down to make sure Poppy, Bridget, and Webs were unharmed. Luckily, there wasn't a scratch on them. But when he looked up he gasped when he saw Rachel and Sasha. They were both unconscious, their fallen wands laying on the ground.
Before anyone could help them, they heard a grunting noise as a figure emerged from the wreckage of the Techadon.
"Mr. Grisby?!" Vampirina gasped. From what she could see, it looked like the back view of the old undertaker. But when he turned around, everyone gasped when they saw not a human, but a robot. Mr. Grisby was never a human. He was a robot. And within his exposed chest cavity was the person operating him.
A guinea pig. A guinea pig with mangled orange hair and a deranged look in his eyes.
"YOU!" Wolf yelled. "So, it's been you this whole time, hasn't it?!"
"Tha's right." Professor Marmalade snipped. "It's about time you caught on." He kicked away what was left of the Techadon. "I spent a blooming fortune on this robot and it was suppose to be indestructable! That Inspector #13 should choke on his resume!" He shot out his robot hand and grabbed Wolf's ankle, dragging the canine to him!
"WOLF!" Snake screamed.
The evil professor flashed a twisted smile as he took in Wolf's helpless expression. "I've been waiting a long time for this!" He began slamming Wolf into the ground. Everyone watched in horror as Wolf was repeatedly slammed over and over and over again.
"STOP IT!" Bridget screamed, tears forming in her eyes.
Admiring the despair he was causing, Marmalade laughed in wicked glee as Wolf's limp body dangled in the robotic grasp. "I'll stop whenever I want!" he replied. "And I don't need a horde of brainwashed monsters to rule the world! I-" He paused when something caught the corner of his eye. He slowly turned to the side and saw something that made his blood run cold. Everyone else was too horrified to speak.
Wolf's spirit was leaving his body. Marmalade dropped Wolf's body in shock as his spirit hovered before the shocked scienist. Now ghostly blue and transparent, Wolf's ghost opened his eyes. They were glowing red. He snarled his pearly white fangs in Marmalade's direction. Wolf's ghost lunged himself at the guinea pig and unleashed an unholy roar in his face.
"ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOARRRRRRR!"
