The crowd roared as Midoriya and I stepped out onto the P.E. Grounds. Several people chanted his name while not very many called mine. I tugged nervously at the sleeve of my outfit, and Midoriya laid his gloved hand on my shoulder.

"Just breathe, Suzume. It will be okay." he said with a warm smile.

"Maybe for you. You've been in actual fights before."

He looked over at me. His eyes grew large, and his facial expression turned to one of panic.

"You haven't?"

I shook my head, and he froze in place.

"I've trained with my Father, but as far as physical combat goes I guess I've fallen a little short in that field."

His hands started to quiver, and I nudged him with my elbow.

"You said it yourself, Midoriya. It'll be okay. I trust you to know your limits."

He smiled crookedly as he looked away from me.

"Ah, yes here they are looking as fabulous as ever."

Nezu held a microphone that was almost as tall as him in his furry, white paws. Midoriya and I turned to look at him, and I felt my feathers start to stand up.

"Save it for the fight, Suzume."

Mr. Aizawa shook his head as he looked back at me, and joined Nezu on the cheaply made wooden stage.

"Ah, good, good. You're both here. Fashionably late, but you made it nonetheless."

He turned, and smiled a rather large smile that I feared was too big for his tiny face. He held out his tiny paw, and shook with Aizawa, and then turned towards a gaunt, blonde man seated to his immediate left. He exchanged several silent words with him, and they both exploded in booming laughter.

"Midoriya," I kept my eyes on the seated man, "who is that?"

"Hm?"

He looked over at me, and then directed his eyes in the same direction I was looking.

"What do you mean, Suzume? That's All Might."

My stomach dropped to the ground.

"That's All Might?"

He didn't look at all like the proud, muscle bound Hero that had stripped me away from my Father. He looked sickly, and frail. His muscles had vanished, and in their place were two twig like arms that looked as if a small child could snap them in half. His sunken blue eyes made their way over to me, and he held up two bony fingers while he smiled. The knot in my stomach tied itself tighter than it had ever been before.

"Are the two of you ready?" Nezu asked from the stage.

"Yes, sir."

Midoriya's voice shook as he spoke.

"Wonderful!"

Nezu's beady eyes lit up with excitement as he retrieved the microphone, and held it to his mouth.

"My dear students, and faculty, I thank you for coming out, and showing your support for both of these wonderful young individuals. First and foremost I'd like to introduce them individually. Midoriya, if you would."

Midoriya stepped up on the stage, and stood nervously next to Nezu.

"First we have the talented, and kind hearted Izuku Midoriya from Class 1-A. Don't be shy now, Midoriya five the crowd a wave."

Midoriya raised a gloved hand, and reluctantly waved at the cheering crowd.

"Excellent, Midoriya, you may step down."

He motioned for me to come up.

"Up against Midorya is the lovely newcomer, Miya Suzume. I'm sure many of you have seen her around. I know I've heard many murmurs about the villain's daughter."

He chuckled loudly, and the crowd remained silent.

"Thank you, Miya. Go on ahead and step down. If you're both ready I'll ask you to face one another and shake hands."

Midoriya took a step towards me, and extended his hand. I grasped it lightly.

"Just a friendly spar." he whispered.

"Begin!"

Nezu nearly fell off of the stage as he shouted into the microphone. Mr. Aizawa sprang forward, and grabbed him by the collar of his suit, and then suddenly all eyes were on Midoriya and I. My stomach knotted as I leapt backwards, and plucked a feather out of my wings. My body faltered, and to my immense surprise the pain that usually flowed through my body was minimal. I silently thanked Hatsume in the back of my mind.

I took aim at Midoriya, and suddenly found myself frozen. He was completely motionless, and his eyes were fixed on me. My hands started shaking, and the metal feather that rested between my fingertips suddenly became extremely heavy.

"Midoriya, what are you doing?"

I felt every pair of eyes in the crowd fall on me as I shouted in his direction.

"I-I don't think I can-"

"If you don't, I will."

With a flick of my wrist I released the feather, and it zoomed towards him. He held his arm up, and the sharp edge made contact with the fabric of his costume. It ripped slightly, and he looked over at me with wide eyes.

"Right now I'm not a friend. I'm an enemy. So come at me, and show me what you can do."

His eyes remained wide, and then his facial expression changed completely. Almost as if he understood the severity of our situation. His eyebrows turned downward, and he balled his hands up into fists. A reddish pink X shape appeared faintly between his eyes, and a green energy of some sort wrapped itself around his body. The power radiating from his body was incredible, and it was strong enough to make a faint wind blow around us.

"You want to see what I can do? Okay, Suzume. Don't expect me to hold back!"

He pushed off of the ground, and almost looked as if he was enshrouded in green lightning. His speed was immeasurable as he moved quickly towards me.

"Delaware Smash!"

He tucked his middle finger inward towards his palm, and the reddish pink design curled around it. He released his finger, and I was blasted backwards with a sharp blast of wind. I spread my wings out in a desperate attempt to stay on my feet, but it was too late. My feet gave out from under me, and I rolled to a stop. I blinked the falling dirt out of my eyes, and smiled coolly.

"Is that all you have? Blasting me with a tiny puff of wind?"

"This is just the beginning!"

He rushed over to me, and tucked his finger in yet again, but I wasn't going to fall for his attack a second time. I spread my wings, and pushed myself up into the air. He took a step back as a cloud of dust swirled around him, and then he looked up at me.

"I bet you thought all I could do was throw my feathers around, but I can use them for more than that."

I felt my feathers stand on end, and silently directed them towards Midoriya. One by one they shot out as fast as bullets, and buzzed through the air as they flew in his direction. He was a blur of green and black as he dodged the falling feathers, and suddenly he sprang up into the air. He grabbed my shoulders tightly, and pushed himself above me while extending his leg.

"Saint Louis Sma-"

"I won't let you!"

I grabbed hold of his leg, and forced him to the ground. He fell quickly, but not before locking his fingers around my ankle, and bringing me down with him. I felt my body slam into the hard ground, and felt the warm flow of blood travel down my elbow. I stood before he did, and watched as he balled his fist again. I extended my wings to the side, and then held them in front of me hoping they'd be enough to stop his punch.

His fist connected with them, and his hand recoiled back. The force of the attack pushed me backward as I skidded across the field. The swirling dust impacted my vision, and I blinked rapidly as I searched my surroundings for Midoriya.

"Miya, behind you!"

The voice made my heart flutter, but as I spun around I was hit with another blast of air. I felt my legs crumple as I was thrown backwards. Immense pain shot through my body as I tried to stand. I willed myself onto my feet, but my body was tired, and I was defeated. I breathed a heavy sigh, and collapsed back onto the ground.

"Miya!"

The same voice I had heard just seconds ago rang out over the crowd. A familiar tingling sensation coursed through my veins as I was lifted off of the ground. I turned my head, and breathed a sigh of relief when Kaminari looked down at me.

"I told you I'd be okay." I said weakly.

He smiled half heartedly as he held me tightly. I winced in pain, but nuzzled my head into his chest, and rested my eyes.

"Take her to Recovery Girl. She needs to be treated right away."

I attempted to listen for the disappointment in Mr. Aizawa's voice, and felt a slight sense of relief when I didn't detect any. Kaminari briskly, yet gently walked towards the school building. His hold on me remained tight, but the warm buzz of electricity coming from his body temporarily numbed any pain I was feeling.

"Ah, so this is the villain's daughter, eh?"

I kept my eyes half opened as I glared at the old woman. She cackled loudly as she motioned towards an uncomfortable looking bed. Kaminari set me down gently, and the old woman shooed him backwards.

"Hm. She's got a slight elbow sprain, and some minor bruising. Luckily no breaks. Midoriya must have really restrained himself against you."

She smiled warmly as she looked at me.

"Her body is extremely fatigued. She needs rest which means out with you, mister."

Kaminari took a step towards me, and pressed his lips against my forehead. The slight tingle of electricity was extremely comforting, and I felt a smirk cross my lips. The old woman groaned, and after he had gone she demanded that I rest. I leaned my head against the surprisingly soft pillow, and rested my eyes as I hoped that maybe, just maybe, I made Mr. Aizawa proud of how hard I fought to be here.
