Ch 3
The last part of the mission was to go to the SHIELD base in Long Island and stop Pierce from launching a missile with the German flag symbol on it. If the missile hit the Triskelion, the US would think that Germany destroyed SHIELD instead of Hydra and it would start a new world war that Pierce hoped would take down both governments and allow Hydra to swoop in and take over the world when the dust settled. The SHIELD base was next to a large dock with the sub that had a hatch on it for the missile to shoot out. Falcon flew Cap and Bucky onto the submarine. Falcon's drone Redwing used a laser to cut a hole in the sub and Cap and Bucky went in as Falcon stood guard. Two Hydra troopers were guarding a door when it flew open, knocking them down. Alarms sounded and more Hydra troopers went in, firing their machine guns. Cap blocked the gunfire with his shield before throwing it like a frisbee, knocking down most of the Hydra troopers as Bucky took out the remaining ones with his machine gun. Then the two of them were near the control room.
"Go ahead. I'll cover you." Bucky said.
Cap nodded and Bucky attached a grenade launcher to his machine gun before they both went in. Pierce ordered the Hydra troopers to fire but Bucky took them out with his grenade launcher in a huge explosion before they could even lift up their energy blasters. Pierce got into a Stark Construction Exosuit that Hydra stole and the final battle was about to begin.
"The new world order will rise after this. You can't stop it." Pierce said.
"I can do this all day." Cap replied.
Then Pierce charged and swung his exosuit's mechanical fists. Cap blocked the blows with his shield and Bucky fired at Pierce with his machine gun's grenade launcher but the bombs did next to nothing, only denting the exosuit. Pierce kicked Cap and the enhanced strength his exosuit gave him sent the hero flying into a wall. Bucky charged and landed a few hits on Pierce with his metal arm but Pierce extended a saw blade and sliced off Bucky's metal arm before punching him in the head, knocking him out.
The sub's computer said there were only 10 seconds left before the missile launch. Cap had to end this quickly. He threw his shield and knocked back Pierce, staggering him temporarily, before pressing his attack, battering up Pierce's exosuit with punches, shield-bashes, and kicks. Soon parts of the exosuit were damaged and sparking but Pierce wouldn't go down without a fight. Pierce grabbed Cap and threw him across the room. Then he raised both fists, ready to punch Cap to death. Lucky for him, Cap saw Bucky's machine gun on the floor and he grabbed it, aimed at Pierce's face in the cockpit and fired. The glass was shattered and Pierce was killed with a headshot before the exosuit he was in fell to the ground with a thud.
But at the same time, the missile had already fired. On the sub, Falcon saw the missile flying out of the hatch and waited before the missile was fully up in the air before he aimed at it and fired his wrist rocket. The rocket collided with the missile and took it out in a massive explosion that made the sky glow orange for a minute and the force of the shockwave threw Falcon off his feet.
"Booyah." Falcon said.
Finally, the missile was destroyed and Pierce's plan failed. Mission accomplished.
