AN: I was in a dark place today, so this ended up on paper.

Gergory snuck inside the PizzaPlex in order to escape his assailant, he thought that she would just give up once he disappeared within the sea of kids that should've obscured her vision. He was on the run from this murderous individual for days on end, never being able to shake her from his tail. He was never able to even sleep for too long during any time of day, constantly fearing that he wouldn't wake up in the same place, or at all.
He went into hiding within PizzaPlex thinking that everything will be alright once the doors close for the night, that the killer that had her sights set in stone would get bored and find a new victim to torture. But with his rotten luck, he might as well have not even bothered. The lady has followed him in, but that was far from his only problem.
The PizzaPlex during the night was its own beast. With everything trying to inadvertently trap him, with only one exception, he didn't have much room for error. Enter the animatronics, for the most part, they weren't trying to hurt him per se, but they might as well finish him off themselves if they caught him. Their method of keeping him put was locking him in the security room until opening time. How did he know that? He already got caught once, but he was lucky to have found a screwdriver to undo the vents in order to crawl out, but he doubted he would be lucky the next time. For hours he would go in random directions dodging all manners of obstacles that could lead to his final moments, he was running on fumes by this point.

Gregory is currently hiding inside a bathroom stall, not the greatest place to run to, but on such short notice he wasn't in any position to pick and choose where he ended up. Vanny is relentless in her chase, never letting up to allow him any moment to breathe. She is crafty, however whenever an animatronic was nearby she somehow knew beforehand and ceased all advances upon him. But that didn't mean he was safe with them either, they didn't believe him when he practically shouted at them that a killer was after him, thinking it was just an excuse to run around the pizzeria even more. Except one.
"Freddy! Are you there!? I'm caught in a corner and Chica is about to get me!" He harshly whispered into his FazWatch. No answer.
'He must still be recharging.'
The door to the bathroom suddenly opened, startling him enough to make him yelp in surprise. He covered his mouth in disbelief that he just compromised his position.
"I heard that." Chica said in a deceptively calm voice. She started to kick open the stall doors one by one. Each time it got closer, his heart would beat faster and faster. She was right upon him, so he came up with a last second plan.
Just as she is about to kick open his stall, he bursts through with all of his might, easily knocking her off balance and sending her tumbling down on the floor. She grunted as she landed, afterwards growling. He thought he was home free, but his heart sank when he saw another animatronic blocking his path, he couldn't even stop on time before running right into their open arms.
"Got you!" He fell right into the furry hands of the resident wolf. "Didn't your parents tell you it is not okay to sneak in places?" He struggled to break free from her grip, but she didn't even budge.
"See I told you a little teamwork was all we needed." The chicken cheerfully said, completely ignoring the squirming child in Roxannes grip.
"Yeah, yeah, at least I got him first."
"Roxy, I told you not everything has to be a competition." She said in a slightly pouty tone.
"I didn't think of it as that…at first. But this little troublemaker made it personal when he escaped the first time." The wolf made sure she had both of his arms pinned under hers. "Search his pockets." Chica did as asked.
"Well looky here, no wonder he managed to get out. Someone left a screwdriver in the security office." She pulled out said tool for Roxanne to see.
"Hmph, idiots." They walked back to the office, this time making sure that no tools were left for him to use to make another get away and covering back up the vent with the screwdriver they found on him.
"Now then, if you would please stay put here, we have to go back and clean all the messes you made." Roxanne angrily said.
"You're making a huge mistake." His voice sounded dead, emotionless. It unnerved both of the robot animals to hear a child so…defeated. They shut the door without any further conversation.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
He scavenged the room for what was left without any real urgency, nothing was left to help escape, so what was the point? All he found was a bulky flashlight for his troubles.
"Having fun yet?" A sickeningly sweet voice filled his ears, then all alarms went off in his head, filling his body with adrenaline. The door hasn't been opened yet, so he took this opportunity to hide behind the pillars and consoles to obscure the view of him. The door opened slowly with an ominous creak; Gregory's palms were getting sweatier by the second. The door closes with a click. He held the rather large flashlight by the end, scooting little by little around a pillar whilst taking great care to not make a sound that would give him away. The padded footsteps started to go his direction in the same agonizingly slow pace.
'Good, she didn't see me yet.'
The soft thumps get closer, his composure slips with every step that is taken. He maneuvers around the pillar enough to end up behind her, the small glint of a knife showing him her intentions. He then makes his move; he swings the flashlight as hard as he can on her leg with a harsh thump. The rabbit immediately falls on one knee and looks behind her just in time to see her victim raise the weapon above his head and bring it down on her own with a resounding crack. The disguised woman saw stars, however she wouldn't go down that easily. Instead of being out cold, the killer jumped at him with the knife out and stabbed him in his own leg. He screamed in pain but was cut off by her choking the life out of him. He let go of the light in favor of fighting the hands that are at his throat.
"I have to say, I'm proud of you. You must have given me quite the concussion. It's a shame that it has to be this way." His vision started to turn black from all ends. She leans in next to his ear and whispers, "Don't worry, once you are out cold, I'll take you to my special place, then the real fun can begin."
In a final moment of desperation, he let go with one hand, then went for the knife still stuck on his leg, pulling it out was the worst pain he has ever felt in his life. Once he managed to get it out, he thrusts it into the rabbits neck, she didn't even react right away. He took the opportunity to take it out and do it again, and again, and again. Her pathetic attempts to stop the bleeding went unrewarded. Each time the gurgles got more and more mute until…nothing. She went limp on top of him, with the metal blade making itself at home in her throat. He crawled out from under the corpse, struggling to stand up properly. He just stares, hardly believing what he just did.
'Does…does this make me no better then her?... NO! I did what I had to. I…it wasn't my fault. It was kill or be killed… I'm not to blame. I wanted to live!'
He collapsed on his knees, looking down at his hands that were covered in blood that mostly wasn't even his. He starts to quietly sob to himself, on the verge of blacking out, he just wanted to leave this room now. He glances at the closed vent, then back at the body. He closes his eyes as he reaches for the knife and pulls it out of the neck. He then unscrews the vent with it and repeats his escape. He didn't care if he got caught this time, now he didn't have anything to worry about.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
In the green room area, the gang was gathered around having just finished discussing how the kid should be dealt with, of course Freddy was not a part of it given his mandatory hourly recharge cycle.
"Why didn't you guys let me know you had him cornered? I wanted in on the action too!" Montgomery angrily shouted.
"It isn't our fault you were halfway across the PizzaPlex then, sounds like someone wasn't paying attention to me." Roxanne smugly quipped.
"Maybe next time Monty. Next intruder is all yours, I promise." Chica said, trying to lift his spirits.
"Thanks Chica, at least someone here isn't such a… a bad word." Roxanne raised her brow at the unspoken word. She was about to reprimand him for even thinking harsh thoughts when the telltale sound of a vent door crashing got their attention. They all knew who it had to be. With a growl Montgomery took off first without waiting for the others to follow suit.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Gregory could see the entrance of the PizzaPlex from on top of the escalators, it was still boarded up but that didn't matter to him. He'll just sit in front of it and wait for it to open if he had to. His limp made the process so incredibly slow and painful, leaving a trail of blood from where the vent was.
'I've been through worse. The worst happened just tonight.'
He could hear the animatronics from the distance behind him closing in, then suddenly stop. He didn't slow down, he didn't look back, he didn't make a sound. The footsteps suddenly started again, this time they were slow and calculated, like they were on the defense. He could feel it when their eyes landed on his back.
"I told you someone was after me." He dully said, not even facing them. He stopped in front of the entrance and sat down; he didn't realize he still had the bloody knife in his hand. The heavy footsteps stopped just behind him, a gray furry hand slowly and cautiously took the blade away.
"W-were sorry" Chica said to him.
"Good for you." He responded in the same dead voice. "Do you know what Freddy told me earlier?" They look at one another confusingly. "He told me that you guys would never hurt me. That your jobs also included ensuring the safety of kids." He stood up and slowly turned around. "So…where were you…when I needed you?" His voice changed from being dead to complete despair. "WHERE WERE YOU…WHEN I NEEDED YOU?" They didn't have an answer.
Gregory didn't have any more tears to give, he turned back around and sat down, waiting for the doors to open. They didn't have anything left to say, but they had one idea.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Freddy was told about the situation, about the body they found in the security booth, about the state of Gregory, everything. For the first time in his life, he didn't know what to do. How could he? He was never in such a situation before. He made sure his steps could be heard as he approached the boy.
"Gregory?" He visibly perked up from the sound of his voice, then turned around. His superstar looked awful, there was blood all over him, especially his face and leg. The child launched himself at Freddy, then began to bawl his eyes out. The bear could only hug him back, there was nothing he could say that would make the situation better.
"C-Can you take me to your room?" He said breathlessly.
He grants his wish and does as he asked, Freddy also stops to get first aid supplies on his way there. Upon patching him up he lays him down on the sofa, standing guard over him as he dozes off.
"Please don't leave me."
"I never planned to."
