"The Hex Girls"
Okay, for some reason this chapter wasn't showing up on Fanfiction and I got a ton of complaints about it, so I decided to delete this chapter and re-post it. I hope it's working now. Please enjoy and review!
It was night time when Scooby, Shaggy and Veemon finally finished their meal.
Davey had helped Jack with washing the dishes much to the man's relief and gratitude since it gave him less to do when he finally closed up his restaurant and went home.
Shaggy and Scooby had large round bellies while Veemon looked like he barely gained any weight.
Digimon always burned off food very fast, so, it wasn't that much of a shock, but Davey still struggled to pick Veemon up and carry him since he weighed much more than he had earlier.
Deciding that she didn't want to throw her back out, Davey told Veemon he could walk and she simply pulled her jacket on, bundling up against the chill of the autumn air.
"Have a nice night, Jack!" Davey called.
"Thanks for the food, Mr. Jack!" Veemon said.
"Yeah it was great. Especially those last 12 pies." Shaggy huffed in contentment as he made him way to the door.
Davey and Veemon worked together to roll the large duo out of the restaurant while Jack sat down at a booth, resting after the long day of work.
"Glad you liked them." He sighed.
There was a large stack of dishes beside him that needed to be washed, but it was smaller than it had originally been thanks to the help Davey had given him.
"Like, was that good eatin' or what, guys?" Shaggy asked as he patted his round belly.
"Reah." Scooby agreed.
He then burped which made Davey groan in disgust.
"Excuse me." Scooby said.
As they made their way down the street, the duo of Miracles and their friends took notice of all of the cars driving by them and frowned at the sight.
"Wow, look at all the cars." Veemon said.
"Gee, looks like everybody's leaving. Wonder if the ghost showed up." Shaggy mused.
"Maybe it didn't. Everybody's probably got annoyed with waiting around and decided to leave. It is getting pretty chilly out. I'm not freezing my tail off waiting for some ghost." Davey commented.
With that said, Davey grew out her long slinky black tail and ears while her eyes turned honey gold, allowing her to see better in the darkness.
The cars were all gone now and there were very few street lights, so the neighbourhood was very dark and it made Shaggy and Scooby very nervous when they noticed the silence and darkness.
"Like, with no one here, this place is almost spooky, guys." Shaggy laughed nervously.
"All places are spooky at night time." Veemon stated.
"Yeah." Scooby agreed as he gave a nervous laugh.
Just then, the group passed by an alley and heard footsteps and voices which made the dog, dragon and werecat all pause as they glanced down.
"Raggy!" Scooby called his friend back.
The hippy walked back over to his friends and glanced down the alley to see what had caught their attention.
Three tall figures were making their way down the alley and there was one small one at their side.
The light from a street lamp shone behind them, casting shade over their faces, but illuminated their figures as their heels clicked against the cement.
"Girls!" Shaggy smiled eagerly.
"Reah, girls!" Scooby grinned.
Veemon and Davey watched as Shaggy slicked his hair back and then he and Scooby sucked in their guts and puffed their chests out, trying to make themselves appear brawny and confident.
Davey scoffed in disbelief and amusement at her friends, unable to believe they would do something like this.
Honestly, Davey always believed that Shaggy's one true love was eating and it seemed like he was cheating on it right now.
When the four figured were within earshot, Shaggy spoke up to greet them.
"Like, hi, girls." Shaggy smirked.
Once they had stepped out of the alley, the three girls were in perfect view.
All of them were wearing skin tight black dresses and dark eye make-up.
The girl on the left had short blonde hair that was pulled into pigtail and wore blue lipstick and wore a blue X necklace, a black leather chocker with metal studs and large blue earrings.
In the middle was a tall girl with green eyes, dark red painted lips, black hair that had red highlight and a red bat necklace.
On the right was a dark skinned girl with brown eyes who had short ginger colored hair, burgundy lipstick, gold hoop earrings and a gold chain with a round purple pendant.
When their opened their smiles to smile, they revealed their pearly white fangs.
"Hi!" The three girls hissed.
Shocked by what was revealed to them, Shaggy and Scooby's guts dropped and their bravado left them.
Screaming loudly, the duo took off running down the street in fear while Davey and Veemon watched them.
They probably thoughts the three girls were witches or vampires based on the way they dressed and the fangs they had which the duo of Miracles were sure were fake.
"Yeah, real funny." Davey frowned when she heard the girls laughing.
The blonde with pigtail turned her attention onto the werecat and smirked at her.
"It's not our fault they're such scaredy cats." She teased.
"Speaking of cats, that's an adorable costume, but aren't you a little late for Halloween?" The dark skinned ginger asked.
She gently reached out and ran a finger over one of the black ears, stunned at how silky the fur felt.
"Oh, please. For me, every day is Halloween." Davey said.
"She's not wrong about that." Veemon spoke up.
The three girls looked down at the dragon and smiled at him.
"Hey, look, it's another Digimon." The blonde commented.
"Where? I can't see anything!" A male voice spoke up.
Smiling in amusement, the tall raven haired girl stepped aside to reveal a purple Digimon that had a white face, large ears, red gloves with a matching bandana and a tail while a smiley face was on his stomach.
"Hey, you're Impmon!" Veemon exclaimed at the sight of the other Digimon.
"And you're Veemon. There aren't many Rookies around here. How ya doin'?" Impmon greeted.
Both Digimon reached out and shook hands which made Davey and the raven haired girl smile at the sight, revealing that she was Impmon's partner.
Jolting when she remembered why the girls looked so familiar to her, Davey turned back to them with a smile on her face.
"Hey, wait a minute. Aren't you three the Hex Girls?" Davey realized.
Pleased that they had been recognized, especially since they were a new band that was just starting out, the Hex Girls smiled at the werecat.
"Yup, that's us. I'm Thorn and this is Luna and Dusk. Impmon here is my partner." The raven haired girl smiled.
"Awesome. I'm Davinia, but everybody calls me Davey for short." The raspberry haired girl said.
"So, are you here for the Autumn Fest?" Luna, the ginger, asked.
"Yeah. We ran into someone from Oak Haven who told us about his home town and my friends and I all agreed to come for a little vacation." Davey explained.
"Sounds nice." Dusk, the blonde, commented.
As the four girls were speaking, Veemon and Impmon seemed to be snickering as they talked about any future mischief they could get up to together.
"Anyway, we hate to cut this short, but we have rehearsal. Hope to see you at our concert." Thorn said shaking Davey's hand.
"Can't wait." Veemon chirped.
"See ya 'round!" Impmon waved.
After parting, Davey and Veemon made their way down the street where Shaggy and Scooby took off.
"They were nice. It's too bad Scooby and Shaggy didn't stick around to get to know them." Veemon said.
"They probably thought they were vampires or witches and took off because of it. You know how their minds work when they're scared." Davey reminded.
Veemon nodded at that, remembering what the gluttonous duo was like from their first encounter with them.
They were scared of Veemon, for pity sake!
Staring down the dark street, the duo of Miracles began their search for their frightened friends, hoping they hadn't gotten into any trouble while they were separated.
To be continued…
