A/N: Hi All, next installment.

A/N2: I want to thank you all that have read and reviewed. I'm glad you're enjoying it. My idea was more action less angst, I have other stories with plenty of angst coming, but this was just a fun idea in my head.

A/N3: As mentioned, I will FINISH all my stories, it just may take longer than any of us might like, but I will not abandon any stories.

A/N4: A GUEST commenter brought up the fact that Chuck would not have been able to make Senior Chief Petty Officer as quickly as he has in this story. Just wanted to address their comment as I was unable to respond to them directly. First off this is a fictional story, but I wanted it to be as real as accurate as possible. For that I wanted to do here, Chuck would need to be in a leadership position, where he would be at a level to be the leader the team. Based on the actual timetable, Chuck would at best be a PO First Class, so it wouldn't work for this story. I mean no disrespect to anyone who has served or is serving. I tried to keep it more accurate as some have made him officer, which he would not be able to do without graduating college. This is fiction, as much as I hate to admit, so are Chuck and Sarah, so that was the reason for Chuck's rank here and why it did not follow a more realistic time frame for promotion.

No Beta, all errors are my own.

I don't own Chuck / Nor have any rights to characters portrayed

Chapter 4

Overwatch Security – Alexandria, Virginia – May 1, 2010 – morning.

The team had returned from Florida and had gotten some rest. They were all assembled in Castle for an update with the bosses. Casey was talking to Chuck and Link about the takedown of the Beachouse. Carina, Zondra, Sarah, Asa, and Christie were discussing the actual yacht. As Christie and Zondra had not seen the yacht up close. Carina was talking how it would be great to use for cover, and fun. She would need to look into a way to requisition the boat for the task force. Vicky, Rick Noble, and the rest of Bravo were in mixed conversations about everything from the Op to the hotel accommodations, to what there was to do in Alexandria. The SEALs were still getting used to and familiar with the area and looking for things to do.

The large screen plasma came to life showing General Beckman, Director Graham, Lt Commander Blackburn, and Master Chief Scarpetti. General Beckman took control and got the meeting under way.

"Good morning Team, well done in Florida. The Coast Guard found the yacht and the fast boats in US waters. The bodies were collected and are being identified. Our understanding is preliminary that of the 13 EKIA, 5 were in different agencies and are believed to be Fulcrum, we will get you the names once they are confirmed. The rest were from the Cali Cartel. Both the yacht and fast boats were confiscated, and crime scene techs are reviewing, I trust they won't find anything?" Beckman asked with an eyebrow raised.

Chuck answered, "No ma'am, per SOPs, we cleaned up after collecting the weapons and cash, no sign that we were there." He finished.

"Good job Bravo, we saw tape of the takedown from the ISR drone feed, well done. We realize you were expecting a fishing boat, we got late word of the yacht, but you handled it well with no issue." Director Graham complimented.

"Thank you, sir." Chuck said for the team.

General Beckman spoke up, "ok team, once we have the names of all the enemy killed, those that we believe to be Fulcrum, we'll have the analysts do a deep dive of known associates. Most likely we'll have to do some surveillance once that information comes in. Agent Miller, we need to know what and how the Cali Cartel will respond to this. If another shipment will be coming in or not. This had to have hurt Fulcrum's plans, so if there is another shipment, we could take a different approach."

Lt Commander Blackburn spoke next, "General, if we determine another shipment is coming, it might be in our best interest to surveil and follow, it could lead us to a base, or at least allow us to identify other enemy operatives."

"Agreed Commander, I was thinking the same thing." Beckman answered.

"I'll reach out to my contacts, both in the DEA and outside. I won't let on that I know anything about this, but heard through the grapevine. It may take some time to find out how the cartel will respond. But chances are that area is now blown, so they would be looking at new or older drop points that aren't used anymore." Carina answered.

"Good point Agent Miller. Team, anyone have any thoughts on how we can narrow down the possible area's? Graham asked.

Bryce got a ugly smirk. "What about the hacker we used to help locate the last location. Maybe he can back track the yacht, find some other. We could compare that against past intercepts and could give us an idea what were looking for." Bryce finished.

Chuck winced a little, but only Sarah and Zondra noticed.

"Good thinking Agent Larkin, Senior Chief, please reach out to your contact and see what it will take for him to help us here." Beckman ordered. "Lets try and get him onsite, his information is good, but I don't trust someone we can't control, what to say he won't reach out to the cartel."

Chuck stood a little bit straighter, cleared his throat. "Ma'am, I never said the hacker was a man."

"So you're saying it's a woman?" Graham asked.

"No sir, I was just stating a fact, I have not, nor will I divulge the identity of the hacker. I gave this person my word and will not go back on it. As to the General's request, I will reach out to them, I think I can get them to help, but it may come at a price, what we're asking is a lot more time and work to do. I also can guarantee they will not agree to come in and do this onsite, as last time, the best we can hope for is they meet us in a location of their choosing."

Sarah watched Chuck, she knew why he was being insistent about this, and he trusted her with his secret, she was then brought out of her thoughts when she heard Graham ask her a question.

"I'm sorry sir, what was that?" Sarah asked.

"I asked, Agent Walker, do you agree with the Senior Chief's assessment of the hacker, no way to get them to come in and work with us here at Castle?" The director finished.

"Yes sir, they were insistent on not being in a government facility. I agree with the Senior Chief, I think they will help, I can't speak to how much work and effort is involved, but it would make sense they get something out of this. Perhaps we could use some of the money taking in the raid to entice them." Sarah suggested.

"We'll consider it." Graham answered.

"Senior, make contact with your hacker friend and lay out what we may need from them and get an idea what they would be looking for." Blackburn added.

"Copy that." Chuck responded.

"Ok, for now you are to stand down and work from Castle but be prepared to move on short notice. Once we have a target, we'll want to move. Any questions?" Beckman asked.

A chorus of 'No Ma'am's' echoed in the room.

"Very good, dismissed." She said as the plasma went dark.

Casey stood at the front of the room, keeping everyone organized and on track. "Ok, you heard the bosses. Miller work your contacts, see if we can get some more information on what to expect from the Cartel, seems they are easier to predict than Fulcrum. Bartowski, reach out to the hacker, get them to help us. If you can get them to come in, even better. If you need to go out again, let me know first, like the first time, you're not going alone, someone from the taskforce needs to accompany you. I assume since the hacker has met Walker, they'd be ok with her coming with you."

Chuck nodded, "yea, I think they were taken with Agent Walker." Chuck finished.

Sarah had a small smile. Zondra noticed something about Sarah and Chuck's look but decided to keep that to herself for now.

"Ok, the rest of us, go through what we already know while we wait for ids on the dead Fulcrum agents. Get to it." Casey finished.

The team dispersed in different directions of Castle. Some of Bravo headed to get in some time in the gym, while some went to their assigned terminals to take a look at the intel. Intel review like this was not something the SEALs did, but with their change in tasking, Tracy had given them all a crash course, thinking the more eye's looking at the intel the better.

Casey walked up to Chuck who was typing away at his terminal, "You going to need the jet again?"

Chuck looked at Casey, "not sure, most likely. I'll send a message to my contact and see what they want to do. Maybe not have to go all the way to LA, but not sure. I'll let you know, should hear back within 24 hours." Chuck finished.

Casey grunted, Chuck was still getting used to the grunts of Major John Casey, but he was pretty sure that was the, 'let me know' grunt.

As the day went on, Chuck got up from his terminal to grab something to drink, he made it to the kitchen in Castle to grab a bottle of water from the fridge. One good thing about working with the intelligence teams, there kitchens were well stocked, and it was updated daily. He grabbed his bottle of water then went out in search of Zondra. He found her finishing something up with Vicky. Zondra saw Chuck, looking like he wanted to say something.

"Thanks Vicky, let me know what you find." Zondra finished, looking at Chuck, "What can I do for you sailor?" She said a salacious but sarcastic tone.

"I need some intel." Chuck said.

"Well, that is my business, something on your hacking friend?" She asked, she was fishing for more information there.

Chuck turned pink, "ah, no. I was hoping you could give me some info on Sarah."

Zondra smirked. "Such as?"

"Well, I asked her out, and wanted to take her out to dinner, but I still don't know too much about what she likes and wanted to make sure she at least has fun. I was hoping you could tell me what she likes, food, flowers, formal or more casual, does she liked to go bowling, or dancing, you know?" Chuck asked, almost embarrassed.

"Bowling? Really Chuck?" Zondra asked, eyebrows raised.

"Have you ever been rockin' bowling Z? It's a blast. Its bowling with the DJ running a strobe light playing 80's hair bands, what more could you ask for."

"Wait, your serious?" Zondra asked.

"You're right, she's not ready for that on a first date." Chuck said.

"Oh, we are coming back to rockin' bowling, tell me what you were planning?"

Chuck took a deep breath, "so, I was thinking dinner, then wasn't sure, rock n bowl is on hold, but going to a comedy club, or dancing? I wanted to know what she likes. I want her to have a good time."

Zondra took what Chuck was saying, this was the kind of person Sarah needed, hell this was the kind of person she needed.

"Just be you Chuck. If you're more casual, go with that, from what I know, you seem more comfortable in jeans than a suit." Zondra said.

Chuck nodded.

"As for food, she likes all types, Seafood, French, steak. Italian is her favorite."

"What about Mexican? I heard about this good place in DC, a lot like a place I used to go to back home in Burbank?"

Zondra nodded, "yea she likes Mexican, be sure they have good margaritas. And afterwards, she loves to dance. I don't think any date has ever taken her dancing, so if you want to stand out, I would go with that." Zondra paused, "can you dance?"

Chuck got a small smile, "I'm no Michael Jackson, but I can hold my own."

Zondra laughed; she was surprised by his confidence. "Well, you'll have to show me your moves sometime."

Chuck laughed, "it's a date." Realizing what he just said, he started to stammer, "I didn't mean date, like a date, date, I meant."

Zondra barked in laughter, "easy does it Curls, I know what you mean."

Chuck looked relieved. "Thanks Zondra, I appreciate it."

Zondra sobered up, "she's my best friend, so you better treat her right. She deserves a good guy who will do what he says and she can depend on. So far, you have never broken your word to me, don't start now."

Chuck nodded, "I won't."

Zondra gave him a hug and they headed to different areas of Castle.

Later that day, Chuck had his plan, so he went looking for Sarah. He found her in the indoor shooting range just finishing up some target practice. Chuck noticed the tight grouping near the heart and the head. She was ejecting her empty magazine.

"Nice grouping Agent Walker." Chuck said.

Sarah turned, not realizing anyone was behind her. "Not bad for us field agents huh?" She asked in a teasing tone.

"Somehow, I have no doubt you would excel in the kill house or the obstacle course we practice. We just practice more than you do."

"Damn right I would." She said. "So, what can I do for you Senior Chief Bartowski? Are we taking another trip to LA to see your 'Hacker' friend?" she asked with a smile.

"Probably, but that's to decide another day. I was actually hoping you might be free tonight for that date we talked about?" Chuck asked, wiping his hands on his pants. He couldn't believe how nervous he was. It had been a long time since he had been nervous about asking someone out.

Sarah smiled, "I don't know, I was going to wash my hair." She said with a smirk.

Chuck was pretty sure she was joking, but wasn't completely sure. "Oh, if tonight doesn't." He started to stammer.

Realizing he wasn't seeing the joke, she reached out put a hand on his arm, "Chuck, I'm kidding. I would love to go out tonight."

Chuck smiled and looked relieved, "great, I was thinking I could pick you up at 7, we could grab some dinner and get into to trouble." He said with a smile.

"Trouble, huh?" She said with a smile, "bring it on. What should I wear, formal, casual?"

"Ah not formal, I'm sure whatever you wear we'll be amazing." Chuck said.

Sarah saw the genuine sincerity Chuck answered with and it made her feel warm inside. "Ok, see what I can come up with. So, I'll see you at 7?"

"Yes you will." Chuck said.

"Don't you need my address?" Sarah asked with a raised eyebrow?

In a hushed tone, Chuck looked around to make sure no one else could hear, and whispered, "I'm kind of a spy, you think I need you to give me your address?"

Again, Sarah raised an eyebrow with a surprised look. She was about to break the silence, when Chuck spoke again.

"Of course I need your address, I'm not some crazy stalker." He said with a giant grin.

She laughed out loud, giving him her address and agreeing to see him later that night. They separated and went to finish the work and head home, both excited and nervous for tonight.

Extended Stay Hotel, Room 315– Alexandria, Virginia – May 1, 2010 – 5:30pm

Chuck had gotten back to his room at his hotel. He had to admit, compared to some of the places they had stayed on deployment, this was better than most, but the truth was, they were supposed to be in Va Beach. He had been thinking if this was going to turn into more of long term operation, it might make sense to rent a house, he could invite some of his teammates to live with him, maybe get a second house of the rest. Just make it more comfortable for everyone. So far, most of the guys, went not on call went home to see their families, Chuck decided to head back to Va Beach a couple of times, but it was to get more of his gear he wanted with him here. He had spent some time being a tourist in DC, but had a big list of things he wanted to still do. He thought if he could arrange it, maybe it would be fun to invite the Woodcomb's to tour around DC with him, if Ellie and Devon could get the time off. Taking Clara and David around would be fun. Or maybe if Megan Cersosimo came to visit her husband, he could take Abby so they could have some alone time.

But now, he was focused on tonight's operation. Ok, it wasn't an operation, it was a date, and he was nervous. He wasn't sure he had been this nervous about a date since his first real date with Jill. He liked Sarah and he trusted her. Ever since he first saw her picture in the ready room at HQ, when they were prepping the rescue mission, she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, something about a sparkle in her eyes. He couldn't lie to himself, when he found out she and Bryce had been lovers, that bothered him. Really, anything having to do with Bryce Larkin bothered him. But he was in her past, and could he really hold that against her? She wasn't perfect, we all make mistakes, himself included. It actually made him feel better knowing she had made mistakes and wasn't perfect, he was intimidated enough. He had picked up a bouquet of Gardenia's, thanks to Zondra. He was trying to figure out what to wear, he almost wanted to FaceTime with Ellie, but didn't want to get her all Ellie like about this. He decided on a black button up, dark jeans and his Chucks. He took a shower and was getting the last of his things ready to go. He had his wallet, his FBI identification, military ID, and he tucked his sig Sauer p229 into the holster in the small of his back. He really didn't want to go to his date armed, but the task force had been told to be sure to carry at all times with this Fulcrum threat, so Chuck tucked it back there, grabbed his keys and his light black military style jacket as the spring temperatures were still warming up. One last check in the mirror and headed out.

The Ellington Luxury Apartments, Room 607– Washington, DC – May 1, 2010 – 6:45pm

Sarah Walker was nervous, Sarah Walker never got nervous. It didn't matter whether she was trying to disarm a bomb, under torture, being shot at, she never got nervous. But standing in her bathroom in a nice black and bra panty set, she was finishing her make up. It had hit her just a few minutes before she was about to go on a date with Senior Chief Chuck Bartowski. She had high hopes and was really hoping this was going to go well. There was something about him, he was so different than guys she had gone out with before. She had mostly gone out with spies, she had dated an army ranger for a brief time. Of course that didn't count the roles and seductions she had had to play. Her only real relationship she had had was with Bryce, and she everyone knew how that ended. The fact that Bryce and Chuck had a history probably didn't help. She couldn't believe the 2 of them had been best friends at any point, they were so different, night and day. Bryce was a very good looking man and he knew it. He had a confidence, more like an arrogance that she at first had found attractive, but over time, she saw him for what he was, a self-obsessed asshole. The guy who led them into a trap because of his arrogance. The capture in South America wasn't all his fault, she should have made her disagreement more vocal and not allowed it. They had been professional partners for a long time, and maybe that affected her thinking. Then it was Chuck Bartowski and Bravo that came in and saved them. Chuck was a handsome man, not as 'pretty' as Bryce, but she thought Chuck was a very good looking man. She also liked he was tall. Bryce was just an inch or 2 taller than her, so she never could wear his 4 or 5 inch heels which she loved. Either flats or 2 inch heels. Bryce was self-conscious if she was taller than he was. She didn't think something like that would bother Chuck, but it didn't matter, at 6'3' he was plenty taller than her 5'9'.

She liked him from the minute she was taken off the hook she had been hanging on. Sure he had just killed a Fulcrum agent threatening to kill her, he took a shot 99.9% of the people wouldn't take, and made it. Yea, she thought that was hot, but that wasn't it. His eyes. They say the eyes are the window to the soul. When she first looked into his eyes she saw so many things, worry and concern for her, confidence in what he had just done. Unlike Bryce's arrogance, Chuck carried himself with a quiet confidence. To find out he was a DEVGRU SEAL team leader is no small accomplishment, and in a very accelerated career path. She had been excited to find out that they would be working together as part of the task force. She genuinely wanted to get to know him. Being around him, he had a warmth about him, made her feel safe, cared for. In her short time around Chuck she felt closer to him than Bryce. All Bryce had wanted was to get her into bed then possess her. Chuck, on the other hand seemed like he would be happy with being her friend, as long as she was happy. Of course, she was hoping he wanted more than that. Because day after day, she was pretty sure that's what she wanted.

She had gotten home trying to keep herself busy. He would be picking her up soon, she had spent a lot of time trying to pick out the perfect outfit. She had decided on a pinkish purple mini dress with 4 inch white heels. She didn't know what they would be doing, but he said to dress somewhere between not formal and not casual, so she thought this was a good option. She had curled the ends of her hair, satisfied with her look, she went over to keep herself busy. The butterfly's in her stomach she hadn't had since she was in high school. She checked her clutch to make sure she had her essentials, id, cash, lip balm, and her snub nose Glock 26. Normally she would be carrying her Smith and Wesson, but it was too big for the clutch she was brining. She took a deep breath when she heard the knock at the door. Her thought before going to the door, 'don't freak out'.

Ellington Luxury Apartments– Washington, DC – May 1, 2010 – 6:55pm

Chuck had arrived at the Ellington Luxury apartments, he had to say he was impressed, nestled with a great view of DC and the Potomac, it was a cool spot to live he thought. He had pulled his Camaro into one of the designated visitor spots outside the main entrance, he could see the ramp to the underground garage, but the door was down. No doubt where Sarah kept her Porsche. The building looked to be on the newer side, the lobby was modern. He was impressed they had a door man. He wondered if this was a building contracted with the intelligence agencies or just a high-end apartment building. Sarah had good taste. He walked in carrying the bouquet and stopped at the desk. A 50 something year old man with greying dark hair, based on his look, Chuck looked to be former military, probably retired, made him think more and more this my be an agency approved apartments. The man looked up and saw Chuck standing there.

"Can I help you, sir?" The man asked.

"HI, I'm here to see Sarah Walker, I'm Chuck Bartowski." Chuck answered. "She's expecting me."

The man looked at the computer, Sarah had let the desk know before she went up to her apartment, so they would allow Chuck in.

"Yes Mr. Bartowski, she has you listed, she is in apartment 607, elevators are right over there. Good luck."

Chuck smiled, I guess it was obvious he was there for a date. "Thank you, have a good evening." Chuck said heading up.

Chuck found himself standing in front of apartment 607. He was nervous, his hands were sweating like they did when he gets nervous, although that hadn't happened in a long time. He took a deep breath, and gave a solid knock.

Sarah who was trying to keep herself busy, when she heard the knock. She walked over to the door, checking herself in the mirror one last time, happy with everything she opened the door. There before her in dark jeans and dark coat holding a bouquet of Gardenia's was Chuck Bartowski. When she saw the stunned look on her face, she couldn't help but smile, she hoped he liked the how she looked, based on his reaction, she had a warm feeling all throughout.

Chuck was standing there waiting, when the door opened he jaw dropped, standing in front of him was the most beautiful site he had ever seen. Sarah was standing there in a purplish pinkish mini dress, her hair was down with little curls and heels. She looked stunning. She had a bright smile which just added to her beauty. It took Chuck a minute to gather himself. He finally realized he hadn't said anything and started rambling.

"Ah, hi, uh wow, uh, I mean." Chuck stopped took a deep breath to gather himself, starting again, "Hi Sarah, you look absolutely stunning."

She blushed at his words, so heart felt and pure. She was looking in his eyes and saw the truth I, he really believed what he was saying. She looked him up and down, smiling. "Thank you Chuck, you look very dapper."

"Thanks." Chuck said blushing himself. "Ah, I got these for you." He said holding out the bouquet.

She smiled, gardenia's, her favorite. "Thank you Chuck, gardenias are my favorite, more of your spy knowledge." She said with a smirk back to their conversation in Castle.

"Ha." Chuck laughed, "I do have my confidential sources Agent Walker." He said.

Sarah raised an eyebrow.

"Zondra." Chuck said. Both Sarah and Chuck started laughing.

"Ready to go?" Chuck asked.

"Yes, let me just put these in some water and we can go. Come on in." Sarah said, taking the flowers back to the kitchen to get a vase.

Chuck stepped into the living room and looked around. Her place was nice, she had a balcony and a view of the Potomac. She had some art on the walls, some black and white photographs and a couple of paintings. Chuck didn't know much about art, but the paintings were nice. He especially like the black and white photos, one looked to be a mountain range and canyons, the other a lighthouse on the ocean with the spray encapsulating the lighthouse. There were some pictures on the hutch, she saw both Carina and Zondra with her in some, another blonde he didn't know. A picture what she thought must be a young Sarah and her mom. There were a couple of empty spots he assumed were photo's she took down, probably something with Bryce. They had dated, he wouldn't have blamed her., but he was glad they had been taken down.

She came out of the kitchen, the flowers in a vase that should put on the table behind her couch. She stepped back admiring them, they really did look beautiful. She couldn't' remember the last time someone had brought her flowers that wasn't a mission. She turned to Chuck, "thank you again for the flowers, there lovely."

"My pleasure." Chuck said. "I like your place."

"Thanks, its home when I'm not on missions. Although I travel a lot obviously so I don't get to spend as much time here as I'd like. Hopefully with the taskforce, keep us in one place for a while." She said. "Ok, ready to go?"

Chuck smiled, "yea, let's go."

They made it downstairs, Sarah had said goodnight to the doorman and went out to Chuck's Camaro. Chuck being Chuck, made sure to open the door for Sarah, she smiled, thanked him and got it. Chuck then hopped in the driver's side and off they went.

El Chucho - Cocina Superior - 11th St NW, Washington, DC – May 1, 2010 – 7:45pm

Chuck had read about his place online and all the reviews were it was excellent. Zondra had said Sarah liked Mexican, but Italian was her favorite. He had thought about Italian, there was one he had read about, but it was more formal, he was hoping maybe they could try that on another date, but El Chucho seemed more laid back, more him. It reminded him of the place back in Burbank he would go with Ellie and Morgan, El Comprade, complete with the mariachi band. When they arrived, Sarah had assured him she loved Mexican food and she loved a good margarita. Thanks to Zondra, he had checked and their margaritas were apparently well known, so they seemed to be off to a good start. The way Sarah looked, but the way she was dressed tonight, every eye in the place turned to look at her as they were seated, others turned to look again after they were seated. Chuck was slightly bothered by it, but in fairness, he couldn't blame them, she looked amazing. They had their margarita's and had just ordered their dinner, so far the conversation had been pleasant and friendly.

"I just can't picture you and Bryce as roommates?" Sarah said. Chuck had just gotten through telling her about how he had met Bryce and their friendship at Stanford. It had been surprisingly a comfortable conversation, as they both disliked Bryce now and there were some similar shared experiences.

"When I met him, and at least while I knew him at Stanford, he was almost as big a nerd as me." Chuck said.

"Almost?" Sarah asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I was the king of Nerds, there were none bigger, so almost was the best he could hope for." Chuck said with a huge grin, proud of his nerdism.

Sarah barked out a laugh, "I didn't realize I was in the company of royalty." She finished, bowing her head.

Chuck laughed, "your forgiven m 'lady."

Sarah had gone through her experience meeting and working with Bryce and how things just fell apart for a variety of reasons. How it was more convenience than anything. How she hadn't outwardly seen the nerdy side of Bryce, although there were some small signs she bet were related to his inner nerd.

"So the Navy, never something you pined for or wanted to join?" Sarah asked.

"No, none. I mean after 9/11, I felt bad, but I didn't think me and the military would be a good fit. I thought more about starting a software company, cyber security, maybe help the intelligence agencies that way. Then a few months before I was set to graduate, well you know what happened." Chuck said.

Sarah nodded, understanding.

"The day I met the 2 petty officers, they say join the Navy and see the world. Well, I have seen the world, mostly parts people don't want to see." Chuck was quiet for a minute, then continued. "I know I have helped people and made a difference in some people's lives. What more could I ask for?" He finished.

"Well said." Sarah responded.

"What about you Sarah Walker? What led you to Agency?' Chuck asked.

Sarah winced a little, she liked Chuck and didn't want to lie to him, but she wasn't sure she was ready to tell him about her life growing up with her con-artist father.

"Let's just say it was the best option at the time. I will tell you, just give me some time, please?" Sarah asked.

Chuck could tell there was something there that might be uncomfortable. "It's ok Sarah, you don't have to tell me. I don't care about your past, from what I know about you so far, I like you, and no matter what's in your past, I think it would only enhance what I already know." Chuck said.

Sarah smiled, "thank you Chuck, that's sweet."

"Sweet, thanks for making me feel like I'm 8." Chuck said with a grin.

"Stop, I should warn you, I do come with a lot of baggage." Sarah said, trying to be honest.

"I could be your very own baggage handler." Chuck said without thinking. Chuck couldn't believe he said that out loud, even though he meant it.

Sarah was a little taken aback, but in a good way. She couldn't believe he actually said that out loud, but it just reinforced what she already thought the kind of man he was.

"Ahh, ok, moving on." Chuck said laughing.

Sarah giggled.

"So, let's try something different, how about this. Where does Sarah Walker see herself in 10 years?" Chuck asked.

"Hmmm, trolling for an answer there Mr. Bartowski Sarah asked." With a mischievous grin.

"Of Course I am." Chuck said with a smile.

"I didn't have what most would consider a normal childhood. Like I said earlier, in time I will tell you about it. For a long time, I thought I would be an agent, maybe make my way up the chain with the Agency. I like what I do, I like making a difference, but like anything there are things about my job that I hate."

Chuck nodded. "I get that. I didn't have a normal childhood by any stretch, so I get that. I don't know exactly what a normal childhood is, I suppose I did until I was 9, but then things changed."

Sarah listened to what he said. "If you don't mind me asking, what happened?"

Chuck shook his head, he wasn't sure this was appropriate date talk, he supposed it was better than talking about Jill, but.

"I don't mind, but it might be a little depressing, not exactly date material, you sure you don't want to save this story for another time?' He asked.

"I like you Chuck, I want to know your story, how you ended up here?" She said honestly.

Chuck nodded and started. He told her about how he had what most considered a pretty normal childhood until he was 9. His mother traveled for work, but always came back, until one time she didn't and they never heard from her again. How his older sister had basically taken over a lot of the motherly responsibilities, taken care of her little brother and running the household finance. While their father was there physically there, he had mentally checked out when their mom left. Then one day he went out to get ingredients to make his kids pancakes for dinner and never came back. How they dodged child services, how they both worked hard in school and got jobs, got scholarships to UCLA for Ellie and Stanford for him. His almost 4 years at Stanford, and touched on briefly about information she already knew. Getting kicked out, joining the Navy, becoming a SEAL.

"So let me ask you, where does Chuck Bartowski see himself in 10 years?" Sarah asked.

Chuck took a sip of his margarita. "Well, if I'm still alive, which is a good chance I won't be in my current line of work."

Sarah nodded at that.

"It depends, if I find the right woman that can stand me, I would hope we would get married, I hope maybe be a dad someday. You know, house in the suburbs, maybe leave it to beaver."

Sarah nodded, "you'd leave the Navy, stop being a SEAL for the right girl?"

"Absolutely. I'm proud my service, but I can't do this forever, I've been really lucky to this point to not be dead. I've been to more funerals and seen my friends, my brother's family have to endure. It's part of the reason I don't really date that much. I know the type of job I do and how dangerous it is. I can't bring someone into this, they wouldn't understand why and it's not fair. Most civilians don't know what we do. I figured I would either date someone who could understand, or wait till I retire. Of course, but yes, I would retire for the right woman. I could work with Morgan on games, or try and start a new company, maybe cyber security or something."

"Use those Piranha skills?" Sarah asked smiling.

"I don't know what you're talking about Agent Walker." He said with a wink.

"So, you never really answered my 10-year question when I asked?" Chuck asked.

"A lot of what you said I relate to and felt the same way. But, I think, like you if I met the right guy, I could definitely see leaving the Agency, finding a nice white house, red door, white picket fence in the suburbs. I'm not sure if I would be a good mother, but I would try. I WOULD NOT drive a minivan." She said.

Chuck barked a laugh at the last statement. "No, I don't think you would. Porsche does make an SUV." He finished.

Sarah nodded.

The conversation had gotten deeper and more real than Sarah ever expected. But she was surprised that she had answered him honestly. Something about Chuck Bartowski kept her at ease, she felt good in his company, safe. For a guy in Spec Ops, he was incredibly confident and humble, the second part being very rare and not something she saw a lot of from guys with his job, or from guys with her job.

They finished up dinner and were walking down the block, the club Chuck was taking her too was just a couple of blocks away, so they decided to leave his car near the restaurant.

The Park at Fourteenth (Nightclub) - Washington, DC – May 1, 2010 – 9:45pm

Inside the club they were playing mostly fast paced top 40 music, with a mix of some 80's rock and dance music thrown in. They had gotten drinks and were standing at a table still chatting. Sarah liked the fact that she had to lean into Chuck to speak in his ear and he had to do the same so they could hear each other. They finished their drinks and Sarah looked at the dance floor and said to him, "let's dance", and they made their way out on the dance floor.

Sarah was very pleasantly surprised that Chuck could in fact dance and was good. Bryce was a better dancer, but he had had training at the farm, for a relative novice, Chuck was terrific and she was having a great time dancing with him, she just wished they would play a slow song so she could get closer to him. They danced to songs like, 'Just the way you are' by Bruno Mars, 'I like it' by Enrique Iglesias, 'Pour Some Sugar on me' by Def Leppard, 'Livin' on a Prayer' by Bon Jovi, 'Don't Stop Believin'' by Journey as well as songs with Pitbull, Keisha, and Kylie Minogue. The mix of music kept them moving all night. They took a break after more than an hour straight and went and grabbed another drink at the bar.

Chuck could see a smirk on Sarah's face. "What?" He asked her.

"I'm just surprised, you can dance, and you dance pretty well." She said smiling.

Chuck with a faux hurt look, "I'm sorry, you assumed the tall, gangly, nerd couldn't dance?"

She laughed, "most guys don't like to dance, it's not that they can't, maybe they don't feel comfortable or confident enough to do it. Your different, you got right out there and you have some moves." She said smiling. "Part of our training at the Farm includes dancing, we need to be able to do all kinds of dance depending on the mission. But, I'm pretty sure you didn't attend the Farm dance training, so I need to know where you learned your moves."

Chuck barked out a laugh, "just my natural moves." He said with a straight face.

Sarah gave him a flat look.

"Ok, ok. After my dad took off, I would do odd jobs and Ellie got a job. But she was worried about me having too much free time, not so much afraid of me getting into trouble, but being picked on or bullied, being a nerd and all. So I went to the local Y, they had all these classes you could take, one of them was a dance class. Ellie encouraged me, telling me how girls like a guy who can dance. Already being a nerd, figured I could use all the help I could get." Chuck shrugged.

Sarah smiled. "Your sister was right, and the lessons paid off. "She said. "Does the rest of Bravo know that you can dance?"

Chuck grinned, "sure they do. Link is pretty good too. When we do team outings, their wives usually pull me on the dance floors, most of the guys can't dance, or won't. Saus's wife, Megan, is usually the first to pull me out there. I have fun with it. I honestly don't know if I am good or bad, but I have fun with it. " He finished.

"You're pretty damn good, don't let anyone tell you different." Sarah said. "Carina and Zondra are going to love going out with you." Sarah said.

Chuck gave her a puzzled look, was she already trying to dump him on them.

Sarah noticed the confused look, "when we all go out. Not sure I'm done with you yet." She said saucily.

Chuck smiled. He liked the idea of her not being done with him. They continued dancing until later in the night and headed out.

Ellington Luxury Apartments– Washington, DC – May 2, 2010 – 12:45am

Chuck pulled up to her building and parked. Sarah started to protest saying she could get make it in on her own, but a part of her liked the fact he was a gentleman. Chuck insisted on walking her to her door. They walked in past a different doorman, but as Chuck noticed, he seemed to be former military or law enforcement. He hadn't asked her about the building, but would at some point. They got off the elevator and made it to her door. Sarah grabbed her keys out of her clutch and fiddled with them, delaying going in. She wanted to ask him in, she imagined being with him would be amazing, but she really liked him and wanted more than just a fling.

Chuck broke the silence, "So."

"So, I wanted to thank you Chuck, I had a great time. I've never been taken dancing before on a date, it was great." She said, meaning it.

"I'm glad you had a good time. If I'm being honest, I did ask Zondra what you liked to do, I wanted you to have fun. She shot down rock'n'bowl right away." Chuck said, shrugging.

"Rock'n'bowl?" Sarah said, raising an eyebrow.

Chuck barked a laugh, "Zondra had a similar expression. Bowling with a dj playing 80's music."

She gave him a flat look.

"It's fun, really. For boys and girls alike." Chuck said.

"Maybe we'll have to find out some day in the future." She said with a grin.

Chuck like the sound of that.

"I had a great time and I hope we can do this again." Chuck said, hopeful.

"I told you I like you Chuck, I would really like to do this again sometime soon." Sarah said.

Chuck beamed, he leaned in and gave her a light kiss, the minute their lips touched there was a spark of electricity. Sarah felt it to and wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him in for more. Their tongues started fighting for dominance, only stopping when they both needed air. With their foreheads touching catching their breath.

Chuck started to pull away. "I'm going to go, before you think I'm not a gentleman any longer." He said.

Sarah smirked, "maybe I don't want you to be a gentleman right now." She said.

Chuck blew out a breath. "On that note." Chuck stepped back and gave a no tongue, soft kiss on her lips, and backed away.

"Thanks for a great night Sarah, I'll see you tomorrow, sleep well." Chuck said, starting to back away.

"I had a great time tonight Chuck. I look forward to our next date. I'll see you tomorrow. Drive safe." She said as she made her way into her apartment. She blew out a breath and leaned against the door. She had the biggest smile on her face. She had a good feeling about Chuck Bartowski and the more time she spent with him the more she liked him.

Over Watch Security – Alexandria, Virginia – May 2, 2010 – 6:45am

Chuck was up early working out at Castle. The hotel he was staying at had a gym, but it was pretty sad, so he got up and was at Castle working out. He was the first one in, so he had started the coffee in the kitchen, and was busy getting a lift in, he had already done a 3 mile run. He hadn't slept much the night before. He had a great time with Sarah, felt like they really connected. It was nice to think that it was just him that thought there might be something there. Her laugh, he really liked the sound of her laughter. He really, really liked her. Her smile, not to mention she was the most beautiful women he had ever seen. He didn't want to jinx anything; he didn't have the best track record. While she wasn't in the military, the intelligence field was close and they worked with the intelligence agencies all the time. Sarah was someone that understood what he did and why he did it. She wouldn't judge him or think less of him because of the things he had had to do. He was brought out of his thoughts when he saw Rick Noble, Spencer Steele, Dave Choi, and Vicky Dunwoody coming in to use the gym.

"Morning Chuck." Rick said with a smile.

"Hey boss." Steele answered.

"Senior. Getting an early start today?" Dave Choi asked.

"Hi Chuck." Vicky said.

"Morning all. Yea, couldn't really sleep so thought I would work out my insomnia." Chuck said.

"I get that. I tend to do the same." Rick answered.

"Any reason you couldn't sleep?" Vicky asked with a knowing look. Pretty much the entire task force knew Chuck and Sarah had a date. While Vicky wasn't quite as gossipy as Carina, she was curious. She had read all the SEALs files, but she was intrigued with Chuck's. He had always been friendly and seemed very capable. If Walker wasn't interested, she might be.

"Nah, just couldn't sleep." Chuck said, finishing up his workout. "Gym's yours." Chuck said as he got up and headed to the locker room to grab a shower.

Ellington Luxury Apartments– Washington, DC – May 2, 2010 – 8:15am

Sarah had gotten up early, gone for a run. She was back and showered. She really had a great time the night before with Chuck. When she first woke up, she imagined what it would be like to wake up with Chuck there, she couldn't help but smile at the thought. She was in the midst of getting ready when there was a knock at her door. She had an idea who it was, as the front desk didn't call up it could only be people on her 'approved' list to visit. She went to the door looked through the peep hole and all of a sudden her good mood was gone. She opend the door. Standing there with his smarmy grin was Bryce Larkin.

"What are you doing here Bryce?" Sarah asked. Reminding herself to take him off his list of approved visitors.

"Aren't you going to invite me in?" Bryce asked.

She didn't want him anywhere near here, but she figured this conversation was bound to happen at some point, so might as well get it over with.

"What do you want Bryce?" She asked.

"How was your date last night?" He asked.

He was fishing, "It's none of your business Bryce? If that's why you're here, you might as well leave." She answered.

"You and Chuck, it's a bad idea." Bryce said.

"Me and Chuck, or me and whoever is no longer any of your business. We are over Bryce. Its time for you to move on. I can work with you and maybe in time we can be friends, but who or what I do in my time off is none of your concern."

"Chuck's not built for this life, what we do. The lying, the killing." Bryce said.

Sarah gave him a flat look, "are you serious? You do realize he is a NAVY SEAL. They are sent in to the worst of the worst. I think he understands the lying and killing of our jobs."

"I got him kicked out of Stanford to protect him from this life." Bryce started.

"And it led him straight to becoming a Navy SEAL and team leader for one of the most elite fighting units in the world. I think he can handle a lot more than you give him credit for. He ended up here anyway. Live your life Bryce, Chuck and I will live ours." Sarah finished.

"So, you're going to tell him all about Sarah Walker? Stuff you and I did, the missions, the things you wouldn't tell me, the seduction missions? You think Chuck is the kind of guy that can accept the things you have had to do for your country? He maybe in Special Operations, but they aren't asked to make the same sacrifices that we are." Bryce said, trying to twist the knife, poison the well.

Sarah looked away. She never liked thinking about some of the things she has had to do. The seductions were just as bad if not worse than the killing. She always figured that no one but a spy would be able to accept what she has had to do. She thought Chuck was someone who cared about her, could see past the spy and see the girl. She hoped. But Bryce knew what buttons to push. She took a breath, she and Chuck would have to have this discussion if things moved forward as she hoped, but not right now. For right now, she was going to just be a girl getting to know a guy she liked.

"That's between Chuck and I. Its none of your business Bryce. Its time for you to leave. I'll see you at Castle. But Bryce, we're done. Move on." Sarah finished, she went to the door and opened it, signaling it was time for Bryce to leave. He looked at her, he knew he got his point across, he nodded and left.

Sarah took a deep breath, finished cleaning up and getting ready and grabbed her bag and headed out the door to Castle.

Over Watch Security – Alexandria, Virginia – May 2, 2010 – 9:45am

All the task force was in Castle. Bravo was in a meeting with Lt Commander Blackburn and MC Scarpetti. They had both made the trip to Castle after working mostly out of the NSA Headquarters. Both were on the way back to Virginia Beach to DEVGRU command for a couple of days. They were updating Bravo on a possible non Fulcrum mission that they could be tasked with, so they wanted to have Bravo prep in case they were called on. They also wanted to check in with the guys, the sitting around wasn't what the SEALs were used to, when not operating, they were training. Working with the task force they were doing more intelligence review, not something most of these guys were used to, although they had

been doing well in the intel reviews. Most of the team gave the credit to Chuck, who had shown them what to look for and what to focus on. Chuck dida good job of breaking up the work to the individual's strengths. Chuck played it off, but it had made them more useful during the down times.

While Bravo was in their meeting the rest of the task force was going over the intel reports, specifically trying to track the cartel to determine next steps for them after they had been robbed. There was more information available and more of a history with the Cali Cartel than on Fulcrum. The brass thought if they could continue to interrupt the Fulcrum cash coming in, it could lead Fulcrum to getting more frustrated and desperate, and give the task force a chance to swoop in. Carina was leading the review as the DEA representative on the team and had the most experience with this sort of work. She was working with Sarah and Zondra on some of the latest information she received. They were working in one of the smaller conference rooms off the main room, Zondra had just come back into the room carrying coffee for the 3 of them. She had shut the door with her leg, passed the coffee's out, then sat down and looked at squarely at Sarah.

"Ok blondie, spill. We all know you and Bravo 1 went out last night, but I expected you to be smiling, you seem annoyed, was it that bad?" Zondra asked. Carina heard the question, dropped the folder she was looking at and looked at Sarah.

"What? No, no." She stopped to gather her thoughts. "It was amazing, I don't have much experience with first dates, you know, real not mission related dates. But, it was, it was amazing, I don't think it could have gone better." Sarah said with a wistful look, smiling.

"Ok, so what happened? Details." Carina asked.

"He picked me up, he brought me a bouquet of Gardenia's. I guess I have you to thank for that Z?" She asked, already knowing the answer. Zondra nodded.

"Well, we left and went to El Chucho - Cocina Superior, the Mexican restaurant. It was great, good food, good margaritas. We ate and talked, just got to know each other. He talked about his past."

"Did you?" Zondra asked, knowing it was a tough subject for her.

"A little. I told him I would, but not just yet. He was great, he understood, said it didn't really matter to him, he just wanted to get to know me. It was sweet. We stayed there for a while, then he took me to a club to go dancing." Sarah said, small smile at the memory.

"Chuckles took you dancing?" Carina asked, stunned.

Sarah nodded.

"Well?" Zondra asked.

"Well what?" Sarah asked, with a coy look on her face.

"Can he dance?" Carina asked, exasperated. Zondra had a curious look on her face as well.

"He can. He really can." Sarah said. "And he's good. For someone that hasn't had agency training or professional training, he can really move."

"How? No offense to Chuckles, but he doesn't seem he would be built with rhythm." Carina said.

"Growing up, it was just he and his sister, to keep him out of trouble, she sent him to the Y while she was working and he signed up for difference classes. He took dancing because his sister told him it would help him meet girls and that girls like a guy that can dance." Sarah said.

"She's not wrong." Zondra said. "He had asked me what you liked, he really wanted to make sure you had fun. I suggested dancing, but then I asked if he could dance. The look he gave me, it was a lot like the look he gave me when he told me he would rescue you and agent ass hat in Colombia, said he Michael Jackson, but he could hold his own."

"He's right, he's definitely not Michael Jackson, but he can move. It was the most fun I've had on a date. We danced for hours. Eventually, he brought me home, even walked me to my door. No one has ever done that for me unless they wanted to get lucky." She said, remembering past dates. "He wasn't pushing for that at all, he seemed almost shy to give me a good night kiss, like he was nervous. It was adorable."

"So? How was it? The kiss?" Carina asked.

Sarah had a coy look.

"That good, huh?" Zondra asked.

Sarah didn't say anything, just nodded with a dreamy smile.

"Good for you girl. You deserve a good man. And from the time I've spent with him and Bravo. He is a great guy, I mean you can tell by the respect all of Bravo has for him, even their intel officer, Christie. I'm really happy for you Sar, seriously." Zondra finished.

"Thanks Z, I really like him." Sarah said.

"So why did you have the annoyed look this morning? I thought the date was bad, or he was a terrible kisser, what gives?" Carina asked.

Sarah went on to tell Carina and Zondra about Bryce showing up at her apartment this morning, trying to get to her, how she and Chuck wouldn't work, if she would tell him about some of the things she had had to do in her career. How a guy like Chuck couldn't handle or would approve of some of the things spies, especially female spies had to do. Both Zondra and Carina were pissed at Bryce for saying something like this, but not at all surprise. Bryce didn't like to lose and losing Sarah bothered him more than he would ever admit.

"I can see why you were pissed. Forget about Bryce. I heard from Vicky, Chuck was already here working out when she got here about 6:30, maybe a little unused energy from the night before?" Carina said with a salacious smirk.

"CARINA." Sarah snapped.

"Relax blondie, he's a good one. If you give him a chance, I'm sure you to will figure things out." Carina said.

"Just be honest with him, I know it's not something you're the most comfortable with, but from what I know about him, what Saus and some of the others guys have told me, he value's honesty, its important to him." Zondra said.

Sarah nodded. She liked Chuck, she really did. She wasn't good at sharing or talking about herself. It left you open and vulnerable. She knew she would have to get over that, at least with Chuck. She didn't think he would judge her or share things she didn't want him to. She was both excited and terrified at the thought of telling Chuck about the real her, Samantha Lisa Williams.

"I know. But he might be worth getting out of my comfort zone." Sarah said.

Casey knocked on the door and came in. He was looking for any update on any Cartel information. Carina informed him she was still waiting for word from sources, but they were fairly certain there would be another drop in the relative near future.

"Ok, keep on it Miller, if we can figure out the next Cartel drop for Fulcrum, we can hit that again. Maybe take some Fulcrum prisoners this time to question. Walker, Bartowski say anything about his hacker friend?" Casey asked.

"Not yet, he told me he was reaching out yesterday, thought it would take about 24 hours to hear back. Have you asked him today if he's heard back?" She responded.

"Not yet, figured he would have told you, aren't you 2 mixing your chocolate and peanut butter?" Casey said with his own smirk.

"Ooooh Jonny, I love your food references." Carina said with a salacious wink.

"Uh." Casey grunted and left the room in search of Bartowski.

When Casey retreated, the ladies left in the room laughed.

"What is it with Casey and food metaphors?" Sarah asked.

"I know right, I would have said something like buttering your muffin." Zondra said with a big grin on her face.

"ZONDRA!" Sarah said with a furious blush. Carina was laughing hard as well as Zondra at Sarah's embarrassment.

"Calm down blondie, Chuckles is a good looking guy and a SEAL, I'd let him butter my muffin." Carina said.

Sarah blew out a frustrated breath, "CARINA, enough you to. If Chuck butters anyone's muffin..." Sarah stopped as she was realizing what she was saying.

All 3 CATs exploded in laughter. As the laughter continued both Casey and Chuck walked into the room. The 3 woman seeing Chuck continued to laugh. Casey just glared at Chuck. "What did you do Bartowski?"

"I have no idea." Chuck said, genuinely confused.

The CATs got a hold of themselves "What's up Casey?"

"Bartowski heard from the hacker, looks like you and he are heading back to LA Walker. Get your gear together, jet will be waiting early this afternoon. I'll update the brass."

"What about the rest of us, I can go with Chuckles to LA?' Carina said.

"No you won't Carina, you'll scare the hacker, they spook easily." Sarah said.

"Plus, they took a liking to Agent Walker." Chuck started. "Not to say they wouldn't take a liking to you, or Zondra, its just." Chuck started spiraling.

"We get it Bartowski, the geek has the hots for Walker. Get out there and get what we need. Copy?" Casey barked.

"Good copy Major." Chuck said as Casey nodded and left the room. Turning to Sarah.

"I'll be ready to head out in 3 hours, did you need to get anything from your apartment?" Chuck asked.

" No, I have my go bag ready, we can leave from here." Sarah answered with a small smile.

"Sounds good, I have some things to finish up, I'll find you when I'm done." Chuck smiled, he saw the looks from Zondra and Carina and decided to make a quick exit. The CATs giggled at Chuck's quick retreat and went back to reviewing files.

Chuck spent the next hour and half going over the things Bravo needed to do. He had informed command he was dispatching to LA on task force business with Agent Walker and should be back in 2 or 3 days tops. He spoke with Link and MC Scarpetti, if Bravo had to be deployed outside for a non-Fulcrum operation, Link would lead the team as MC Scarpetti was still not operational, but would support the team via comms if necessary. Chuck was finishing up when Bryce Larkn came into the office Chuck and Link were working in.

"Chuck, I hear your heading out shortly, can I talk to you before you head out?" Bryce asked, but wasn't really asking.

Chuck looked at his old college roommate, he really didn't like Bryce Larkin, but he was part of the task force, so he had to work with him. He looked at Link, then nodded.

"Sure Bryce, Link I think we're done here. If you need anything while I'm gone, Master Chief is available. You'll be fine."

"Copy that Senior, safe travels and happy hunting." Link said.

"Keep Saus out of trouble, will ya?" Chuck said with a grin.

"You don't pay me enough to do that." Link said laughing.

"Copy that." Chuck said.

Link got up, grabbed the files they had been reviewing and headed out. Bryce came further into the office; Chuck was still sitting at the desk.

"What can I do for you Agent Larkin?" Chuck said

"I heard you and Sarah went out last night. As your friend, it's not a good idea." Bryce said.

Chuck grinned, "As my friend? Really? Wow, you are a conceited son of a bitch aren't you?"

"Chuck, I know you, and I know Sarah. Trust me." Bryce said.

"No Bryce, I don't trust you. Sarah and I are none of your business. You forget, I know you too. You don't like the fact she's moved on. Is this a pride thing for you or something?" Chuck asked.

"Chuck, she's not the settle down type, the house in the suburbs, kids, carpool, dog, where the big excitement is a trip to Applebee's or out for a movie. She lives for the job, the adrenalin. Some of the things she has had to do in the name of her country. I know you Chuck, they'd disgust you." Bryce said, trying to hammer home is point.

"Bryce, you have no idea what I want or what I'm looking for. You got me kicked out of Stanford to stop me from being recruited to the CIA for a military project, I'm a fucking Navy SEAL you dumb asshole. And things she's had to do for her country. I have more blood on my hands than any of you fucking spies have put together. Stop making decisions for other people, you've proven yourself incompetent. Live you life Bryce, stop worrying about everyone else. It's none of your business. And you never had a clue what Sarah wanted, because it's always all about you. I bet you didn't even listen if she told you. Leave Sarah and I alone, or you and I are going to have a problem, and I would love to kick some sense into that arrogant skull of yours." Chuck finished. During his rant he stood up and was looking straight at Bryce.

"So when she tells you about the people she has had to get close to. The seduction missions. You'd be ok with that? I know you Chuck, it would drive you mad, you'd look down at her, think less of her." Bryce said, convinced he was right.

"We've established Larkin; you don't know me or what I think. I don't care about Sarah's past, just her future. We're done talking. You bring this crap up again, I'll see you in the dojo, if it's not task force or mission specific, stay the fuck away from me and Sarah." With that, Chuck grabbed the files and made his way out of the office. He ran into Sarah in the hall outside the locker rooms.

"Hey, I was just looking for you, ready to go when you are." Sarah said.

Chuck nodded, Sarah could see he was pissed.

"What's wrong?" She asked concerned.

"Just Larkin being an ass." Chuck said.

Sarah huffed. "Let's talk about it on the plane."

"Sounds good, let me grab my go bag and will head to the airport." Chuck finished.

Both Chuck and Sarah grabbed their go bags, said goodbye to various teammates and headed out to grab their flight to LA.

Bryce was standing in the hall after they left with a smirk. Zondra saw him and his sleazy smirk.

"Cut the bullshit Bryce, you had your chance with Sarah and blew because you're an arrogant asshole. Leave her and Chuck alone." Zondra spat.

"I'm doing what's best for both of them." Bryce responded.

"Your funeral." Zondra said.

"What you think Chuck is going to kick my ass in the dojo? He's a squid, doesn't have our agent training."

Zondra barked a laugh. "Oh, he will completely kick your ass, he's a DEVGRU Navy SEAL, you arrogant prick, they are trained to kill people. But that wasn't what I meant. I look forward to watching Sarah have you begging for your life." With that, Zondra turned and walked away.

Bryce turned pale. He never thought Sarah might do something like that. He'd have to really get her to see how much he loved her and how much they belonged together.

A/N5: So sorry for the delay. I am going to work on finishing The Betrayal first, then will come back to finish Bravo. At least that's the plan. I am NOT abandoning this. I do have a few other stories I am working on as well, when I have more of them done, I will post.
