Disclaimers I don't own the fate series, please support any to all official releases, and before I get into it a lot of people have been asking me, when does this take place like what route and/or storyline, so I'll repeat this takes place after Hollow ataraxia, which I'm not certain if they ever did adapt into an anime or not, what I do know is that it was a direct sequel to the original Fate/Stay Night visual novel, serving as a visual novel, which let me say I'm actually pretty bummed out that they don't offer either one on steam to purchase cause honestly I would love to play both visual novels if I could, so if any of you guys know how or where I can get my hands on them, please let me know in either the review section or please PM me.

Now with that out of the way let's continue to our story.

Morning had peaked over on the Emiya household, and the first one to get up was Kiritsugu as Irisviel was still sleeping at peace right besides as he had hoped before he called it a night.

Getting out of bed, Kiritsugu had began to fully change out back into his everyday attire, however he also put on a disposable 3 ply mask and some sunglasses on as he was not ready to greet the town yet and let the world know that he was alive and kicking.

Once he was good to go, he made his way back into town as it had very little changes to it, since his death, but still in a span of almost 6 years he was amazed over how technology had advance.

But he had to stay focus on getting things ready for todays welcome party for his son, as he went to the shopping plaza and began to buy a large list of food, as insisted by Taiga the night before.

Getting a multitude of ingredients, onions, pork cutlets, soba noodles, soy sauce and such, Kiritsugu needed to attain some fish as he approached the stand.

"Welcome sir, what can I do for you today" greeted an interesting man, as he obviously wasn't Japanese, he had cobalt blue hair, and seemed to be in great shape.

"Greetings, I'd like to purchase some Salmon" said Kiritsugu, "Sure thing, about how much you need today boss" asked the employee, "About 1.5lb or as close as you can get to that".

"L.5lbs worth of salmon coming right up" said the employee as he began to bag it away for Kiritsugu as he kept his distance and examine the man at work, who was minding his own business.

"Alright boss, this is all for you that'll be 3,777 yen" said the employee as Kiritsugu handed him the change as he handed him his fish.

"Thank you…" said Kiritsugu as he finally got a good look on the employee's name tag as it read 'Lancer', "Anytime now, have a wonderful day" said Lancer as Kiritsugu had made a mental note to not only look into the matter, but also figure out what the hell is going on.

As Kiritsugu was ready to turn tail and head home, he umped into a woman with long lavender hair with a set of elf like ears that made her stand out.

"Sorry about that" said the woman, "No I should apologize as the fault was all mine" said Kiritsugu as he bowed at her apologetically.

"Hey Caster, long time no see" said Lancer with a happy tone, "Lancer you're alive and here too" asked Caster.

"Damn straight I am, I actually just got back in alongside with my 2 girlfriends from being over sea's" said Lancer with a smug smile, "You, you have 2 girlfriends" asked Caster skeptically.

"And you're in love with your impromptu master, what was his name again" asked Lancer, "Soichirou, and let me just say that knowing that he along with me being alive is truly a blessing from the gods" said Caster.

"I wouldn't know about god being involved, but I know my boy Shirou is the one responsible for all of us being alive now" said Lancer as both Caster and Kiritsugu were surprise to hear the news of their existence was all thanks to Shirou.

"The boy who risked his life to save Saber was the reason why me, Soichirou and Assassin are here" asked Caster, "Yeah, you can thank him later on once he and the others get back" said Lancer.

While Kiritsugu had a lot of questions for Lancer at this point, he instead chose this as the opportunity to make his exit, but he at least knows now that for his returning existence was all in thanks to his son.

Shirou, how much you've grown son, thought Kiritsugu as he couldn't help be proud, and yet even worried knowing that these servants and to that extent their masters are all alive and well, and that could spell out trouble if not prepared.

Definitely need to do some reconnaissance before the week ends, thought Kiritsugu as he went to buy some chicken next as he still had a lot of things to buy.

Later

Once finally back home, Kiritsugu was surprise to see that Taiga and Irisviel were working on putting up decorations together.

"Emiya San, welcome back" greeted Taiga as Irisviel smiled at him, "I'm glad to see that you both are getting along" said Kiritsugu as he began to remove his disguise.

"So you got everything you need" asked Irisviel, "Yup, and as soon as you 2 are both done, give me a hand cause there's a lot of cooking to be done here" said Kiritsugu.

"Not a problem dear" said Irisviel as Kiritsugu began to set everything up and be left alone with his thoughts, mainly his thoughts on his son Shirou and for his existence.

With Shirou

The flight back home was long, but at least Shirou took solace in knowing they were only an hour away back home, before they had to take 2 hour bus ride back home.

Staring at the window, Shirou was lost in thought that it wasn't until he felt Saber's touch did he snap back to reality.

"Something on your mind Shirou" asked Saber with a smile, "Yeah, just a little tired, and a little restless, and the fact we won't be home until the early evening doesn't makes me feel at ease" said Shirou.

"Well, if it means anything, I appreciate how you and everyone took the time to actually let us take a 3 day trip and visit back to my home country" said Saber as they leaned in to kiss each other.

"Anything Saber, you just say when and we'll go and visit the UK again" said Shirou as they got some fast company in the name of Tohsaka, Tohsaka Rin that is.

"Well aren't you 2 just getting along" said Rin with a sly smile, "Thanks for checking in on us Rin" said Saber bashfully as she began to fidget in place.

"Honestly Shirou, you lucked out by how much Saber has embraced her inner woman, and how cute she is to tease" said Rin, "Rin that's enough, though I'm curious to know why you're here talking to me, and not me" asked Shirou.

"Well, it's because he's asleep and therefore defenseless so I find it very tempting to… kiss him and things" said Rin as she began to blush and look her head away.

"If that's what you want, I don't mind the slightest" said Archer as he came behind Rin, startling the young woman.

"Don't scare like that you ass" said Rin as she began to pound on Archer's chest, "Ow, seriously you're a lot stronger than you think without magic" said Archer in a feign voice of pain.

"Oh, I'm sorry" said Rin as she stopped what she was doing and felt embarrassed about causing a scene on the plane.

"It's cool, but if you want to make it up to me…" said Archer as he leaned in and whispered in Rin's to meet him in the bathroom in 2 minutes.

Blushing over such a perverted bold request, Archer dipped away as Rin didn't know if she wanted to kill Archer or kiss him for wanting to join the mile high club before reaching home.

"Everything good" asked Saber, "Yeah, just… I need to get something from my seat" said Rin as she rushed back to her lane leaving both Shirou and Saber confused, though Shirou did have a rough idea as to what might be going on, though that's just a hunch.

"Well, at least we got some peace and quiet now" said Shirou, "Indeed, though I'm curious to know" said Saber as she went through her back pack filled with miscellaneous things to put it lightly as she went through a bit of a shopping spree while they were in London.

"Exactly what is this thing I've got here, I told it was able to play music, though I highly doubt such a small thing could be able to play any instrument let alone a lyric" said Saber as she had bought herself the first iPod to have come into not only the UK, but the world.

"Oh yeah, I've heard of these things, these iPods, they're this digital device that can carry and let you play music on the go like a CD player, though in order to do that you have to make an apple account first" explained Shirou.

"Ok first question what's an apple account, cause if it involves us being able to have a steady supply of fruit, we should not wait on such an opportunity" said Saber.

"No, that's the name of the company that made this device, though in order to do that, we'll need to have a computer, something I actually don't have at home at the moment" said Shirou.

"What's a computer" asked Saber, "It's kinda like our TV, except you type in words and search things through the inter web, for information regarding history, language, locations around the world, and from what my friends told me online gaming" said Shirou.

"Sounds complex" admitted Saber, "No worries, I'll teach you how to use it" said Shirou with a smile as Saber smiled back in content.

"What's a CD player" asked Saber as Shirou smiled and looked through his backpack now, and pulled out the Walkman of today.

"This right here is a CD player" said Shirou as he began to put on a pair of headphones over Saber's head and play the first CD he had in it, which was LINKIN PARK, since it was either that or listening to My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne, or Evanescence.

Amazed how she was able to listen to music in a small device, as much as the music itself, Saber was left in trance, before Shirou slid on another pair of headphones and listened to some music in order to kill some time before heading home at long last.

Later

So after a long plane ride and bus trip back home, the group found themselves back in Fuyuki City at long last

"Home sweet home" said Rin as she took a breath of fresh air in, "I admit being here does feel nostalgic, and I've consider this place to be my home as well" said Saber.

"Well I'm glad to be home and all, but we're not exactly anywhere near close to home" said Archer as he and Shirou were guarding their bags and other stuff.

"Be patient, Sakura said she'd be coming to pick us up soon" said Rin as if on cue they spotted her and Rider driving up the road in a white van.

"Hey everyone, welcome back" said Sakura as she got out the van and went up to hug her sister, "It's good to be back sis, and it's good to see you to Rider" said Rin to the servant.

"Likewise" said Rider curtly as she began to help Archer and Shirou load their belongings.

"So anything new while we were gone for a few more days" asked Rin, "Not really no, other than Shinji, who is alive now, is rather upset with me for choosing to tear down and purifying the old Matou household" said Sakura.

"Oh geez, he had to come back alive" said Rin as she rolled her eyes, "Avenger did say that anyone and everyone who was killed during the 5th Holy Grail War is alive now, which leaves me worried about one person though" said Shirou.

"No worries, Shinji now lives independently in a nice quaint little apartment just away from the bus station" said Sakura, "Good to know, but not the person I was referring to" said Shirou.

"If you mean Kotomine, we're more than ready to take him on" said Rin, "Damn right" said Archer as he stood next to Saber and Rider as they nodded in agreement.

"I trust Avenger in ensuring he was the only one not to comeback alive, but no" said Shirou as Sabers eyes shot up as she began to glare.

"Gilgamesh, no worries Shirou I would never submit to be the wife to that King of Heroes" said Saber as Shirou's eyes shot up, "I'm happy to hear that, but now that you mentioned his name that leaves me 2 things to worry about now" said Shirou.

"Than what are you worried about" asked Rin, "That's the thing, I don't know, all I know is that before saying goodbye, Avenger mentioned that they'll be a certain someone waiting for me back at home as a reward for my team work" said Shirou.

"Maybe it's Fuji Nee he's referring to, she did told me to bring you all back to your place before we all head home for the evening" said Sakura.

"Maybe, we're just gonna have to wait and see" said Shirou, "Exactly, now let's go to Shirou's place and see what's up" said Rin as everyone got in before Ride drove them to the Emiya residence in record time.

Finally back at home, everyone began to help Shirou and Saber bring their belongings back home, as Shirou was mentally preparing for the surprise that not only Avenger but Taiga was referring to since he withhold that bit of information from everyone last night and on their way back up until now.

Best case scenario it would be Shinji, worst case scenario it could either be Gilgamesh or Kotomine, but Shirou won't know until they go inside.

"Whoa, senpai you went and bought yourself the new Xbox 360 overseas" asked Sakura as Rider was holding the box, "I did but not for myself, I got it for Illya who said she wanted it bad along with a copy of Call of Duty 2" said Shirou.

"Hm, you really like to spoil her don't you Shirou, hope you don't spoil her more than Saber now" said Rin teasingly, "I… won't alright" said Shirou as he can't deny that he has a huge soft spot for Illya.

"Whatever man, let's just get this stuff in already and see what's up" said Archer as the group finally began to enter inside the Emiya residence and into the main room where they greeted by the sound of confetti poppers.

"Surprise" shouted Taiga and Irisviel as the group was indeed surprise, but also speechless.

"Welcome back Shirou, it's so good to see you and everyone, especially you Saber" said Taiga as Saber was left speechless for standing in front of Irisviel who to her knowledge had been dead for well over a decade now.

"Irisviel" spoke Saber, "Huh, you 2 know each other" asked Taiga, "You can say that I'm well acquainted with Saber, in fact you can say I'm glad to actually see her again, and knowing that she's dating my son has my full approval" cooed Irisviel.

"Saber, do you know her" asked Shirou, "Yes, I do, in fact Shirou you should know that this woman is in fact the mother your sister, and more importantly the wife of my former master, your father" explained Saber.

"You mean to tell me that… your Kiritsugu's wife" asked Shirou, "That's right and to that extent it means I'm your mom" said Irisviel as she went up to hug her son dearly as Shirou stood there with his mind buzzing.

"Hold on, I've got so many questions right now" said Shirou as he pulled away from Irisviel before he spotted a figure stepping out of the kitchen wearing and apron and carrying a hot plate of karage.

"Trust me, the sentiment is mutual, but for now… I think it's best if we put it all on hold and just enjoy this reunion" said Kiritsugu as he set down the food and began to approach his son.

"Dad" said Shirou as he was left speechless over the surprise he had been promised by Avenger.

Approaching the man with caution, Shirou was left speechless as what to do and what to say as everyone stood there watching, just watching the scene before Kiritsugu was the one to take initiative.

Bringing his son in close for a hug, Kiritsugu held onto Shirou so tight and dearly like he had never done before.

"It's good to see you again son" said Kiritsugu as his words filled Shirou with pride, "It's good to see you too dad" said Shirou as he let out a few tears as he was overcome with joy knowing that for his reward and hard work, he finally had his family back together again.

Present

Having finished his plate and his 2 beers, Kiritsugu was standing against the wall with his client, who was casually taking a piss out in the open.

"Got to say, must have been a happy moment for you" said the Shephard of Fire, "Trust me it was, those 24 hours with my wife had been a gift from heaven, and seeing my son and knowing what he did made me proud he was able to become the hero I failed to become, and then some" said Kiritsugu.

"I see, so… what went wrong" asked the Shephard of Fire as he began to zip his fly, "Well what didn't happen, my old servant was not only back, but dating my son, who had decided to wish everyone back to life who had died during the 5th Holy Grail War… well almost everyone" said Kiritsugu.

"But still he had brought back some dangerous people, people he had either directly or indirectly got killed, but while most of them had consider the whole thing as water under the bridge at least 2 of them thought otherwise" said Kiritsugu.

"I see" answered the Shephard of Fire as leaned against the wall Kiritsugu who was given some Agua Fresca to help him wash out the alcohol in his system.

"Anyways, not to change the subject, but what is the job you have me doing" asked Kiritsugu, "Come follow me, we still got some time before I fully debrief you, which leaves us plenty of time for you to tell me more what's ailing you" said the Shephard of Fire as he began to lead him towards the man's Hummer.

Sighing in defeat, Kiritsugu had every right to end the matter from there, but maybe it's because it's the alcohol talking, maybe he wants to at least someone know what and why his life came to here, who knows, all that is know is how Kiritsugu simply obliged to the matter.

"Very well, but at some point I would like to at least know more about my mission, and also who is my target" said Kiritsugu as he hopped in the passenger seat.

"No worries I promise to fill you in on the blanks, just so long as you continue to tell me your story now" said the Shephard of Fire before they began to drive out of the shanty town towards god knows where.

Alright another chapter done and wow let me just so I really appreciate your guys continued love and support.

So yeah we finally got Shirou to reunite with Kiritsugu who was in turn about ready to share his thoughts as to what eventually transpired to him leaving his family, which we will get to, along with the introduction of more characters to come.
