It's been roughly over a week since Kiritsugu Irisviel have fully integrated back to society, and during that time he got to reconnect with his family at long last, and get himself ready to start working again soon.

While he was gonna have to settle to do small time gigs like assassinate heads of the countries mob, potential politicians, maybe the aspiring tycoon of the early 21st century across the 7 continents, it was all in the name of providing for his family and paying for all these brand new guns and other toys he had to buy.

Currently Kiritsugu was taking over the building once more as his own personal man cave since Shirou didn't need to keep his magus training a secret from the public given how he has a lot of people who could easily put up a barrier for him to work in peace.

Speaking of his son, he was currently still training his swordsmanship skills with Saber which also served as them spending quality dating time, which reminds him that he was going to take Irisviel out on a movie date later on tonight.

Hopefully he makes the right pick, since Irisviel has a bit of a high expectation what with her basically binge watching movies, and planning daily dates to see all of Fuyuki City again, and someday the world.

Never a dull moment in the Emiya household, Kiritsugu began to leave his workshop and ready to prepare himself for his date with his wife, as he heard the sounds of wooden swords clashing, Berserker counting in the high hundreds of doing one armed pushups, and the sight of both maids doing laundry.

Once back inside, he entered his room seeing that Irisviel had changed into her attire for the afternoon, it was white eveningwear dress, black strapped sandals, and some light make up.

"Well what do you think" asked Irisviel looking for her husband to compliment her like always, "You look beautiful" said Kiritsugu as he stepped up towards his wife and planted a kiss on her lips.

"But you do realize that the weather is getting colder these days, right" asked Kiritsugu, "That's why I plan to carry these with me" said Irisviel as she had laid aside a wool jacket and scarf for her on the bed.

"Fair enough" said Kiritsugu as he was always dressed for any to every occasion, however the only added accessory he's put on was a beanie because like he said the weather was getting colder.

"Shall we go my dear" said Kiritsugu, "Let's" said Irisviel as both parents began to make their leave, when they spotted Illya still playing on her Xbox.

"Fuck you, your game is shit, so take that out of here and go back to your momma" shouted Illya over her headset, "Illya!" exclaimed Kiritsugu in shock.

"What, it's not my fault, he's talking all big like he's the greatest thing to grace this lobby, but can barely deliver towards half his claims" said Illya as she continued to play only for the gamer she's rage chatting to call Illya's mom a bitch.

Seeing as she was standing right there and was a supportive mother, Irisviel decided to take over things from here.

"Illya tell him that the only bitch here present in this lobby is him, and that by the time you're done with him he'd better have a sandwich made and ready for you" Irisviel as Kiritsugu was bewildered that his wife would encourage such toxic behavior.

"Yes mama" said Illya, "Right, well tell your brother we'll be back later on, and please remember to take a break every now and again" said Kiritsugu as he was starting to wonder if getting her that Xbox was a good idea to begin with.

"Kay, have fun you 2" said Illya not looking away from the screen and began to repeat the words of her mother towards the gamer.

"Iri, you think maybe we should set some limits as to how many hours a day Illya is allowed to play on that thing" said Kiritsugu, "Hmm, it's not a bad idea, but honestly she wouldn't have nothing to do throughout her day, after all in spite of her looking like the same little girl from all those years, she is older than her brother" said Irisviel.

"She's grown and is growing, in fact I was thinking that come spring we enroll her into school" said Kiritsugu as they both began to enter their car.

"Oh my Kiritsugu I think that would be a wonderful idea, I can drive her to school and pick her up, make her lunches, she can have her little friends come over for a sleep over, oh I can't wait" said Irisviel as she was gushing on another chance to experience motherhood again.

"I'm glad you agree" said Kiritsugu as he started the car and proceeded to drive them off into town.

Later

It had been a very productive day for the married couple, since the first thing they did was take a stroll around the park, and talked about their future plans and expectations for the children.

After that, they went to a small café and enjoyed some sandwiches and coffee to fill themselves up enough before heading out to go see tonight's movie, which was to be Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Granted they were well aware they were watching the 4th entry to this generations popular movie saga, without previously watching the last 3 entries, only cause King Kong had sold out for the day.

Once the film had ended, Irisviel could say she enjoyed the movie based on the narrative, but the way how they depict wizards with wands set in the 1990's was admittingly laughable to the duo since no sane magus or anyone else with high 'magic' affinity, Casters included, had used a wand since like before the industrial revolution.

Still the fact Irisviel was able to enjoy it was more than enough for Kiritsugu, as he had reservations for them to sit down and eat at a fancy restaurant later that evening.

Enjoying their dinner outside in the patio area, Kiritsugu got himself a nice salmon dinner, while Irisviel got herself a Cornish game Hen, and topped it off with a bottle of wine from about 10 years ago.

"Wow this has been a delicious meal and a lovely day Kiritsugu" said Irisviel, "For you Iri, no expense shall be spared" said Kiritsugu as he got his wife to giggle over the thought he will forever spoil her.

"Than let's raise our glasses for a toast" said Irisviel as she lifted her glass with Kiritsugu flowing her lead.

"To togetherness and our freedom from any worries involving the Holy Grail War, and to all those who might abuse and harm us" said Irisviel, "To togetherness and freedom" said Kiritsugu as they tapped their glasses before drinking it.

"How cute, you'd celebrate thinking you're all free from being tormented by demons of the past, granted if I were in your predicament I'd be more than happy than to toast on that false sense of security with some cheap swill than the stuff I keep locked away amongst the rest of my treasure" came the voice of Gilgamesh as he had been dining across from them for a while now.

"Gilgamesh" growled Kiritsugu as he growled at the man, "Calm down you mongrel, I'm not here for a fight, I, like you, merely want to enjoy myself a good meal and this is the only restaurant here in this town that barely comes close to being regarded as edible before someone as great as me" said Gilgamesh as he was enjoying himself a 227,000 Yen steak dinner, which is roughly estimated to be close to about 2,000 USD.

"If that's all than please let us be, for we're in the middle of a date" said Irisviel as she glared at the king of heroes, "No worries I intend to, though not before you both answer my question, do you really believe that you or any of us are truly free from the demons of our past, do you think just because we've been given a second chance that we've all been suddenly given a clean slate" said Gilgamesh as this was clearly one of those questions to if not manipulate people into fighting each other it's a philosophical debate.

"No, I don't believe so, granted while I don't intend to waste my new life, it doesn't change the fact that I'm a magus killer, one of the best of my time, I intend to take up that profession once more, not as a means to provide for my family, but to make the world a better place, so if a word of warning king of heroes, you cross mine or my families path again or if I hear you plan to so use your power to rule and abuse the world, I will hunt you down and I will kill you" said Kiritsugu as he looked at the 2/3 god in the eyes.

If it was a lesser man, a dying man, Gilgamesh would have killed him, however this was one of the few exceptions where even the King of Heroes must admit that he's rather impressed that someone has the nerve and backbone to threaten him.

"Ha, you amuse me, and I don't mean that to belittle you Kiritsugu Emiya" said Gilgamesh as he took a sip of his wine.

"Truly I was always curious about Kotomine's obsession with you, even long since your passing, but now I see why" said Gilgamesh with a hearty laugh.

"And what is it about me that you find to be amusing" asked Kiritsugu, "You're a man who knows what he wants, who's capable of achieving his goals, without a care of the casualties that might come, and more so you're honest with yourself and still remain true to who you are, if you had been my master, we'd have won the Holy Grail within the first 24 hours know doubt" said Gilgamesh.

"Was Kotomine not like that, was not Tohsaka" asked Kiritsugu as he was aware of who Gilgamesh served and how he wounded up in a partnership with Kotomine.

"Let me put it to you in perspective, Tohsaka while an honest was not by any means a strong man, why in fact he has admitted to me that he was a disappointment to the Tohsaka name, while his own daughters were considered to be by far vastly superior to him, that literally he has no one to blame but himself for getting himself killed and allowing his own daughters to pick up the mess he had left them" said Gilgamesh.

"As for Kotomine, the man exhibits existential crisis and was not a man who was honest with himself, which is a waste since he was by all accounts not only a jack of all trades, but a master at everything he studied, yet he had no ambition, no empathy of value towards anything, and he only ever seemed to find himself a purpose when he decided that he would not only make you his target, but in the process kill your beliefs along with it, instead he lived, and died, and lived again to see that your beliefs had influenced that bastard son of yours, a mediocre magus at best, and still got himself killed once me" said Gilgamesh.

"So trust me when I say that the moment I find a mortal man to be interesting I do mean it" said Gilgamesh before looking at Irisviel.

"And what about you, what are your thoughts, are truly free from your demons, from your families name and reputation, from what you are" asked Gilgamesh as Irisviel glared at the man.

"You don't talk to my wife like that" said Kiritsugu as Irisviel stood up and looked at her husband with eyes of reassurance that she has things under control.

"I'm only going to ever say this once, king of heroes, and after this you had better stay away from our family, especially our son Shirou" said Irisviel as Gilgamesh sat there with a smug smirk.

"The demons I have but all fled away from me, my family name and reputation now means nothing to the world of magus especially with the Holy Grail being destroyed, as for what I am, I am a mother who was given a second chance at life, and even if it means I came back to life as a failed homunculus, I will spend whatever little time I have on this planet to make it memorable and impactful for my husband and children, now if that answers your question we'd like you to leave our sight immediately or do we have to make an exit before a king" said Irisviel.

"Heh, not since Saber has a woman dared to talk to me like that and stood her ground" said Gilgamesh rather annoyed as he saw that Kiritsugu had pulled out a pocket pistol and had his sights set on the man if he even thought of laying a finger on Irisviel.

"Fine, I'll be making my exit for the evening, but be warned that none of us are ever free from our demons" said Gilgamesh as he began to stand up and finish the rest of his wine as he was preparing to leave.

All this talk about demons haunting us and everyone's connection got Kiritsugu thinking, as he had no doubt Gilgamesh knew something that was going on back at the church Caren was staying at and the recent evil she's been feeling.

"Gilgamesh, do you happen to know what is going on back at the church, the one that Kotomine's daughter currently resides" asked Kiritsugu, "We're done talking for the time being, if you wish to talk to me again, either offer me Saber as the wife I deserve or learn some manners when addressing a king" said Gilgamesh as he finally decided to walk away, leaving the couple alone.

Kiritsugu wanted to follow him and interrogate him some more, but Irisviel held him back as she did not want to either see Kiritsugu cause a scene, let alone give Gilgamesh whatever sick satisfaction he'd get from angering them.

"Sigh, damn it of all the people we had to run into" said Kiritsugu as he began to holster away his gun, "I know, he practically ruined date night" said Irisviel as she to was upset over the situation.

"Kiritsugu, was everything you said to him was true" asked Irisviel as Kiritsugu was surprised to be asked this question by Irisviel.

Granted he never actually did told her he was planning to go back to the assassination business again, like sure it was implied, and yet that's what it was, unspoken assumptions and implications.

"Yes, I do intend to go back to my line of profession" said Kiritsugu, "Kiritsugu" said Irisviel in a disappointed tone.

"Look, I know that's probably something you didn't want to hear, but it's the only thing I'm good at, granted our son had done a great service to us by ridding us not only one problem but a major threat to mankind, evil never dies so long as there are men like me" said Kiritsugu as he felt Irisviel hand over his.

"I'm not disappointed in you going back to your work, or reasons for it since that's why I fell in love with you, I just hope you didn't had to go back any time soon" admitted Irisviel as Kiritsugu got to smile.

"I'm sorry, but money doesn't grow on tree's and the use of alchemy to turn lead into gold will indefinitely get us all in trouble" said Kiritsugu.

"I know, just promise to be safe and don't stay away for to long" said Irisviel, "I'll try" said Kiritsugu as he leaned in to kiss his wife.

Granted it was all a lie since, he claims to be doing this for keeping his family safe, but in truth it was all in part of him committing to a promise he made himself, and because Kiritsugu still questions his existence since there's a lot of unknown variables that must be answered.

At the end of the day, to everyone he'll be infamously know for his hate, when in reality he's a dealer of simple choices, so even if he's gonna have to hurt his family in the process, it's all for the greater good at least that's what he's telling himself.

"Well, we should finish up dinner and get ourselves some dessert" said Irisviel trying to salvage their date night.

Going along with what his wife was doing, Kiritsugu would pay for the bill and was expecting his wife to drag him to some little bakery shop from the other side of town that was popular with highschool girls.

What he wasn't expecting was that Irisviel was implying that for tonight his dessert would be her as she had driven them to a nice love hotel.

He didn't complain of course as this was the first night in a long time they were able to be intimate and truly the last night he had allowed himself to forget about to worries of the world, be it the world of Magus, Gilgamesh, the other revived masters and servants, or whatever premonition dares to haunt the church Caren had lived in.

If Kiritsugu knew, he'd be kicking himself as he was right to believe that something was foul in the state of Denmark.

Ever since his revival, more so after his sister not only swiftly evicted him from his house, but tore down the Matou manor and everything to the Matou family with it, Shinji was absolutely bitter and you would think from a guy who had died on at least more than 3 occasions, all of them being quite gruesome and brutal, he'd learn better than to mess around in the world of mage craft.

Well he didn't as he didn't care as he felt he was wrongfully robbed of everything, and so with his second chance at life, he wasn't going to make the same mistakes again, as he will be the one on top and bring the Matou name not only to it's former glory to the world of magus, but the world period.

While everyone was definitely alive and essentially human again, which meant good news for Irisviel, everyone was also given the chance to live their lives as mage craft users again, including those who had no magical circuits.

So for Shinji this meant a great deal to him as he could finally become the thing he wanted most in life, without the dependence of his adoptive, now disowned, sister Sakura.

And all this time he was lead to believe that only one man could help him achieve his goal and share the very pure sentiment of revenge as that was the only thing they knew.

So for weeks, Shinji had been tirelessly working on the right necromancy spell to revive the man he needed, and he found the right one of course as it was essentially him trying to summon a heroic spirit, since it required him to need a piece of article that belonged to him, a great number of people must have strong emotional feelings towards him, and of course a human sacrifice or 2.

And Shinji had no doubt that everyone had strong feelings for this man, be it the nun and Lancer upstairs, the king of heroes himself, Rin Tohsaka and those who live in Tohsaka manner, and especially those from the Emiya residence.

Granted he's yet to perform the ritual properly, but each time he feels like he's getting closer and closer at achieving his goal, and once he successfully revives the man who is revered as the most hated man to everyone, they're gonna make sure everyone in the Emiya household has hell to pay.

And there you guys go another chapter down, and one that literally foreshadows what's to be expected towards the end so really I hope you guys liked it, if you did please be sure to fave, follow, and leave me your thoughts in the review section.
