~In Twilight~

~With the Host Club~

Everyone at the table began to dig into their food except for Haruhi, noticing Kaoru leaned over. "Why are you not eating?" Haruhi glanced at him. "I did not order anything, and I do not have the money to pay for this…I need to go talk about this to the waitress" Kaoru nodded, sliding out of the booth for Haruhi to follow Rose.

As Haruhi went to find Rose, her thoughts lingered on the sandwich *A tuna sandwich…how would she know that I like that. I used to eat them all the time when I was younger… the only other person who knew about that was dad, and her* Her eyes widened, "No, it could not be…could it?" walking faster towards Rose.

~With Rose~

Arriving at the entrance, "Eric, What's the matter now? Ah!" something flew into my chest with such an impact that I stumbled back, landing on my butt. *What the hell just hit me…ow my poor butt* looking down into my lap, I see crazy bushy brunette hair and a pair of light brown eyes filled with adventure staring into my own.

"Lily? What are you doing here? You, Missy, should be at your piano teacher's studio for your lesson. Mom will not be happy that you are skipping, AGAIN" I brush her long wild curly hair out of her eyes, speaking softly to her with a knowing smile.

Lily's smile turned into a pout as she crossed her arms. "But sissy, it is no fun, and it is so boring sitting there! I rather hang out with you than that witch of a teacher…" giving me a Please do not make me go look. A chuckle escaped. "Alright, alright, I will not if…." I raised a finger to let her know to wait before celebrating. "You tell your mom why you keep doing this…deal?" placing my hand out for Lily to shake on it.

"Fine!" Lily reluctantly shakes on it with a frown. Shaking my head, I looked at Eric. "Relax, it is just my cousin and my mom's god-daughter. I will take care of her." getting up, I walked over to the podium and picked up the receipt from it, patting Eric on the shoulder before turning to leave.

Striding to Lily, I picked her and began to tickle her, causing a burst of giggles. After calming down, Lily started to play with my wolf necklace the stop "So what happens if I told you that I am a witch too? Then is your teacher and me the same?" I gave her a mischievous smile that matched my eyes.

Lily stopped to look up at me with wide eyes. "NO! You are nothing like her. You are fun and always have stories to tell while she is Blah" Lily refocused on the necklace more in-depth "Hey, sis? Who gave you this wolf necklace that you always wear?" as she touched the wolf.

For a moment, I went numb, thinking about how to answer that. "Well, my best friend gave this to me when we were younger so that I could always remember her no matter where I went to in this crazy world. In return, I gave her a dog because she was loyal and stayed by my side through everything and anything. While she picked the wolf for me because I was just as loyal, but I tended to venture alone…a lot," I ended with a small smile.

That day was vivid in my mind *So many tears, hugs, and farewells* as a troubled smile tried to form but disappeared quickly to hide from Lily. Adjusting Lily "Alright, how about I get you some Italian cookies, and we will see what I can do about getting out early to go pick up your brother,"

Turning to head back to the dining area, I came face to face with Haruhi *How long has she been standing there…Shit! Please tell me she did not hear me…this was not how I wanted her to find out* my eyes widened as I took a step forward. "Haruhi…uhmm I."

~ With Haruhi~

Following Rose, I heard her boss having what is sounds like a mental breakdown of something in the main entrance. Staying back, I hide behind the wall, peeking my head out to see a little girl pounce on Rose, causing her to fall on her butt.

Watching the interaction *She looked so at ease with her* I could not help but smile as I saw the little girl playing with the wolf necklace around Rose's neck that seemed familiar. She started firing off questions that made Rose's face blank, and her eyes went far-off.

Rose snapped back with a solemn look. "Well, my best friend gave this to me when we were younger. So that I could always remember her no matter where I went in this crazy world" I subconsciously touched where my dog necklace laid then swiftly put my hand down.

"In return, I gave her a dog because she was loyal and stayed by my side through everything and anything. While she picked the wolf for me because I was just as loyal, but I tended to venture alone…a lot" I furrowed my brows *It is her…Rose looks so different but yet she is still the same. Why did she not tell me she was back?* as my emotions went crazy, but anger was the strongest.

Stepping out and in the doorway, Rose turned from her spot facing me. Her face was full of shock and guilt. "Haruhi…Uhmm, I" stuttered from her. Clenching my fists, "Why…why did not you tell me?" Rose flinched back at my tone. She took a step forward again to speak, "Nevermind…" shoving her crumpled drawing into her chest as I passed by her and bolted right out the door.

~With Rose~

As Haruhi ran out the door, Rose's eyes became teary, with her breath growing heavy with a face full of anguished dancing across her facial features. Rose pulled Lily closer to her body as her dirty blonde hair covered her face.

Taking a deep breath, Rose put on a smile to hide the pain. Then she bent down, placing Lily on her feet, and whispered into the little girl's ear. Once Rose finished, Lily took off back towards the offices in the back while Rose headed back to work.

~With the Host Club~

While everyone's attention was solely focused on their food Kaoru had been the only one who knew that Haruhi had gotten up to leave. From the corner of his eyes, he saw that Haruhi's dish was being lifted off the table. Kaoru looked over to see that it was Rose who gave a tiny smile at him.
