~With the Host Club~
While everyone's attention was solely focused on their food Kaoru had been the only one who knew that Haruhi had gotten up to leave. From the corner of his eyes, he saw that Haruhi's dish was being lifted off the table. Kaoru looked over to see that it was Rose who gave a tiny smile at him.
Kaoru returned the gesture. "Oh, our friend is coming back" Rose blinked owlishly at him before it came to a realization. "Oh, right. Yeah, I just ran into her, and she told me she had to go. I told her not to worry about the food it is paid for already…." Rose explained timidly.
Kaoru nod's and went back to eating while Rose took that as the cue to leave. Then all at once, their utensils dropped and snapped their heads towards Rose. Hesitating from the noise, Rose looks over her shoulder to see them all staring at her.
"You know I am starting school tomorrow. You could have just stopped me in the halls or at lunch to give me back my drawing. But thanks, I guess, for stalking me all the way here" Rose shrugged her shoulder then started to leave. Tamaki leaned across the table to convince Rose that Haruhi was not a girl but a 'Manly' man.
Sudden, Rose did a 180 to face them with her free hand on her hip. With a coy knowing smile spreading on her face. "By the way, next time you try to make a girl into a guy. Try to remember that there is some difference between the two… Well, it does help if you are not a complete moron too, but..." rolling her eyes.
Then shifted her stance to lean on her right hip. "Nice try…see ya!" with a grin, Rose left them to take in what she said.
~With Rose~
Sighing to myself *Well, that was interesting. I have the strangest feeling that won't be the last time I see those boys. Well, what a great way to start my new life in Japan…meet come cute-weird guys. I find my best friend after all these years, just to get into a fight. Also, I now have a boss who has it out to get me. Plus, it is my first Friday here, and I get stuck babysitting* entering the kitchen to drop off the one plate. I picked up some takeout containers then headed back to my other table of the day.
"Here is your check along with those containers. I will just take these plates that you are done with," handing the man the check and taking the empty tower plates. "Thank you for Dining at Twilight, and please come back anytime," smiling at the family as I try to give off a happy vibe.
Moving to the kitchen to quickly drop off the dishes, though my mind was on what Haruhi said to me on a never-ending repeat. Stopping in the middle of the kitchen door, I closed my eyes, "I am sorry," then jolted towards the sink depositing the dishes into the sink and forcing back the tears. Opening my eyes, I notice the kitchen staring at me, causing me to hurriedly exit the kitchen.
Shaking my head *All those stares…* peaking out to my area to see the family leaving, the kids see me and start to wave as the parents smile. Sending a quick smile, although a forced one, I went straight to their table to clean.
