I personally like this one as my top two. But that just me, out of all the trip to Raven's head which was you Fav and why let me know with a review
My top one is Timid day. 2nd is Love and in 3rd place, it is Brave day. (-_-) you know why

Raven awoke to feel a tad bit of distressed; she didn't want to go through with today in more than one way. She has admitted to herself that the past day with Beastboy was rather fun even if things did get out of hand at times. She enjoyed having him to herself and craved more. She knew that today was Love's turn, the final in the deal. By nightfall she would be left to her thoughts, her emotion would only speak when spoken to or if it is a critical moment in battle.
It was not new, this was the way it used to be, her emotion didn't say much. Dealing with Rage under Trigon's control and Raven not being able to control her power lead to that in the early years of being with the Titans. But it slowly happens over time. They would comment or mention something small in detail on the team, the city, mission, etc.
This didn't bother Raven, she didn't mind it since it happened all her life, but after Beastboy and Cyborg's little trip to Nevermore, they began to talk more and more. After Terra Envy came out from the shadow. Saying she had always been with Raven but never had a reason to speak with her. It was a little bit weird for Raven but the more she lives with the team the more her emotion began to talk among themselves. So a few new ones were bound to show up.
After some point, the talk about Beastboy began more and more frequently. Not long after Malchior Love seemed to just be there like she always had a place there with the other emotion. Raven didn't hate the idea of love. She loved her mother and she didn't dislike the team but that wasn't the reason love came out of hiding and the reason why was unknown for quite some time.
When the beast showed up, Lust made herself known with a few dreams with Beastboy and her. Raven figured it was Lust's way of getting her attention. Not knowing her true feelings for Beastboy, she thought it a cruel joke of her persona's side.
Yet she has grown accustomed to their talk and even learned from them. Unlike normal people, Raven's emotions can tell her everything that she is feeling like it or not. Believing it is a whole other matter. Being stubborn is something she is good at.
But after those days with Beastboy, what she learns about him and what she understands about herself. So the question is what does she want. She wanted to tell Beastboy how she feels for better or worse she felt like she owed it to herself. She sits there not going out for her tea, not speaking with her emotion, not even meditating just thinking about what it is she wants.
She doesn't know what Rage did yesterday, but doesn't care; somehow she knew it wasn't anything she had to worry about. Seeing the Beast, she learns about it and senses that small bit of Beastboy feelings. All weight in her mind.
It didn't help that today was Love's turn. What was her question, what would she do with Beastboy and what would it be like after today. Would they stay close or would she want to have her month free of Beastboy as well? She knew that would be the best way to regain her ground when dealing with him, yet it pains her chest just thinking about it. She knows he would try to include in basically everything he was doing. Now she has begun to picture her saying yes to some of his little requests.
"Am I really at a crossroads?" she asked herself. Looking at the rain outside. "Or am I falling back into my old habits?"
The rain was light as it pitter-pattered against the tower; Raven didn't want to do much. She found herself wishing for some villain to cause trouble so Beastboy's trip to Nevermore would be delay or even put off to another day. Just so she can get some more time to think things over. Time ticked by but she didn't even notice it.
It was too late for her to be in her room. At ten to ten, she heard a knock. She opens with her powers letting Robin in.
Rodin walks in looking at the empath, he can tell something is wrong. Yet he felt like wasn't the one who could help her with what was on her mind. He always wanted to talk freely with all the titans and for the most part, he has been able to. Sure Beastboy was sometimes hard to reason with and even Robin can't get him to talk much if he didn't want to. But Raven was Impossible; Robin never knew what to say or what to look for. So he left it to Beastboy and Star to help Raven when she needed it.
"Yes, Robin?" Raven took him out of his thoughts.
"Nothing, just want to make sure you are doing fine, you haven't come down."
"Just don't feel like much of anything today."
"Ok well, Star and Beastboy are out on patrol right now. They should be back soon."
She didn't say anything. So Robin can only assume that she just wants to be alone.
"Raven, would you care to join me in the training room? I need a sparring partner." He doesn't know how to get through to her but he can at least help that time pass by even if it is by fighting.
"No…thanks" She looks back outside at the wave hinting at the shore.
Robin still felt like she could do something. He thought about what would Beastboy do and looked around the room, finding little to inspire him.
'Forgot Raven doesn't do normal but then again I want to marry an alien so I can't talk.'
"Hey, I got a chessboard in my room, what to play while having breakfast."
She only looks at him and nods, getting her cloak. She went to the common room while he went to get the chessboard.
"Well, I got this far with Raven now what, not sure I should ask her what's on her mind or just play." Going to his room he didn't feel like playing any game. He felt like a child trying to impress a friend. It just wasn't his style; he wasn't one for prying unless it was part of his duty as the team leader.
Looking at the desk he saw how clean it was and the picture of Starfire. Over the years she had been slowly helping Robin wine down. It was something he needed and Bruce agreed. Bruce never wants Dick to be just like him only to be happier than he ever was.
Raven was sick of waiting. She found it odd that Robin wanted to game with her. She wasn't busy so why could not help pass the time. Robin came in as she looked outside sipping her tea, He joined her after getting a few things to snack on.
"Where is the cress broad?"
"I figure we play poker instead." He said smiling. He took out a deck of cards and began to shuffle them. She gave a faithful smile.
Setting the tea down she smirks at Robin. "Are you sure because if I recall you lost the last two games in a row?" Raven and Robin's poker faces were unreadable.
Raven was cold and dead of emotion. Her guard was second to none and she only lost her cool if surprised which is why she made a point to never sit next to Beastboy when playing. But she is never surprised when it comes to Robin. Robin was even worse with his mask. He was a pro at seeking out a response but in the end, he was the same as Raven unresponsive.
"Oh I know you don't make mistakes and besides this time I feel like luck is on my side."
Raven shakes her head. "Robin, how many times have I said Luck has nothing to do with poker."
The two begin and Robin deals that card as Raven simply plays as she always does. Pick up a card and only talk if need be. She doesn't count that card or anything mental cheats, as Beastboy would call it. Cyborg would use them all the time but still loses to Raven and Robin.
Her face was already cold and Robin knew he would have to do all the talking. He wouldn't be surprised if she said nothing all game. But he had nothing to lose.
"I just don't know Star," Beastboy said.
The two were flying back to the tower. It has been an eventful morning for Beastboy at least. Starfire has been relentless with the question's today.
"But you are fond of our friend Raven."
"I'm like all my friends."
Star didn't know how Beastboy was holding up, he was better than Raven when it came to deflecting questions from her. She cursed his social skills. She didn't want to ask directly but didn't know what else to do.
"How do you feel about Raven?"
"You already know Star, you were there when I told her emotion."
"…" Starfire wasn't going to give up but Beastboy didn't have the nervous sign that Raven did which didn't help his case. Or at least one Star can pick up one.
The two titans were in a café out of the rain just getting a bite to eat. Beastboy sure was glad that it was Star and not Cyborg who always knew how to get an answer out of him. They sat in a backroom used by VIPs. It was so that their fans didn't storm the store and leave it a mess and so they could stay out of sight and eat in peace. The Titan had a few locations like this.
"Ok Beastboy," Star said, getting his full attention. "What are you going to do after today?"
"What do you mean?"
"Today is the last day of the arrangement with Raven emotion correct."
Beastboy tilted his head wondering why she would ask why. "Tomorrow would be like every other day."
"No, I mean with Raven do you have any plans with her."
"I don't know, should I?"
"Urg Beastboy… Tomorrow your proposition with Raven emotion would be over."
"Yes"
"So why don't you do something with her."
"Well I will…um…I don't know. Didn't think she would let me finish the deal and I think that after that she would want some space from me."
Star shook her head, She might have taken a misstep with Beastboy. His ear lowered and his expression became one of sadness.
"Don't say that Beastboy I'm sure Raven enjoys your company."
"Yeah but I'm sure she needs a break. Maybe after some time, she will come out of her room."
Looking at his hot chocolate he wonders how the next few will be after today. He hasn't put any thought on the subject, he was simply enjoying this unreal time with Raven.
Thinking back to that moment, he left Raven's room after she told him about the deal. He remembered he was panicking, he didn't understand why her emotions wanted to talk with him. Not knowing what to do he just decided to focus on the trip to the mall and dinner. That all he could do Raven's mind was such an unknown to him. He even wonders many times if he really should cancel. But he gave her his word and he was going to keep it no matter what.
On the flight back to the tower he was reflecting on the time inside Raven's head. He couldn't help but smile at the things he did there, playing hide n' seek, getting lost, showing them how to make a cake. Play games, talk and saw her realm, which are mostly beautiful. Timid needs a little work, Rage is well Rage and he hasn't seen envy or Rude. But he felt closer to her like her doing this. Seeing everything did tell him more about Raven than she ever would but he couldn't help to feel like her emotions where trying to tell him something. It wasn't that Raven was secretly a nice person cause he already knew that. Whatever it was he just couldn't figure it out.
Star and Beastboy land on the tower.
"Beastboy can you report to Robin I need to go change out of my uniform Oh and tell him to come by my room please." With a smile, she was off flying to her room.
Beastboy took a look at himself and left to do the same. He was glad that his animal power had gotten the ability to pervert from getting sick in that rain and most places. Cyborg said it has something to do with his DNA just changing up to stop the most common sickness. It was one of the perks of hinting at puberty he figures.
Leaving his room he walked down the hall thinking over what was going to happen today in Love's realm. This is the first time he really put in thought in today's event with Raven's emotions. Would he even be allowed in her realm, would Love want dating advice? Does she like someone? Did he know that person? He is sure Raven will talk to Star about liking someone so what good would it be talking to him do. Would she even trust him with such information?
As Beastboy felt like finally beginning to ask the right question the common room door opened showing Rodin and Raven stare down at each other.
He notices that card and poker chip stack on Raven's side. With a smirk, he walked over to Robin's side. "Hey man, how is it going?"
"…ugh," Robin says nothing.
"Yeah doesn't look too good." he smiles and waves at Raven.
She simply nods without breaking her poker face. It was a cold face but that's how you know she was in it to win.
"Well if you're wondering everything was normal, just a few low-level crimes we helped the police deal with. Nothing big." Robin nods in agreement. Beastboy sat down looking at the fierce duel between the two. Minutes passed and cards were dealt. The chips are on Raven but they can go back and front all day and not get anywhere.
"Oh right, Robin." He said, getting his attention. "Star is waiting for you in her room. She needs a shower after being in the rain all day. She said she had to tell you something I think?"
Robin looks at his card and back at Raven, then to Beastboy, and lastly to the cards. His eyes narrow, putting the cards down. A second pass.
"Beastboy takes over, I'll be back."
Robin got up and left quickly wondering how much chip he would lose while Beastboy is playing.
"Really?"
"I'll be back!"
Beastboy takes his seat and looks at the card. Raven took a good look at Beastboy, He was always so easy to read but hard to predict. She said nothing as they played a few hands keeping her eyes on him watching ready for anything. She loses 2 times in the last 3 hands.
"So Rae-"
"Raven." She quickly corrected him.
'Oh no I broke my silence, and all he did was call me by that nickname!'
"Oh right… Is this a friendly match or do you and Robin have a little wager here?"
"You should have asked him that before he left."
"So you do."
'AGAIN UGH!'
Raven narrowed her eyes knowing that if luck was on his side this is going to take a while.
Robin knocks on Star Door waiting for his girl to open up. But she didn't. He sighs, wondering what could be taking her so long.
"Star can I come in?"
"Yes, you may Robin." He can hear the joy in her voice.
The door opened to show the room had been darkened, the light was off and the curtains almost closed only letting a small ray of light in. Star closet door was open and the light was one so Robin made his way there. As the door closed Star flew down to the light and hit them. Robin turns to see Star in so tight stocking and lingerie, Her hand we're right by a pink bow and all he can do is only drop his jaw to what is happening right now.
'Holy, Yes…'
Star hovers slowly to him as she feels his eyes dance across her body. She stops right in front of him, grabs his right hand, and kisses his Finger. Their forehead meets and they just smile.
"You are a gift from heaven Star and I love you."
"I love you too."
It's been twenty minutes and Robin hasn't been back. Beastboy has a good idea of what is going on and sure Raven knows that fact. She seems a lot more annoyed for a while now and he hasn't said much since they began.
"So why are you playing poker with Robin anyway, he asks?"
"It doesn't matter now."
"So what did you bet on?"
(…) She said nothing, she of all people knew that Beastboy would pick up on small replies like this. She just didn't know how he would respond.
"Do you want to win?"
Raven looked in odd disbelief, she was competitive when it came to the game she likes and Poker is among her favorite.
'Is he throwing the game, or is he bluffing, why would he even say that.' He knew Robin would never throw a game of poker against me of all people.
Beastboy smiles and lays his card down, putting all his chips on the line, if he won this hand he would have Raven on the rope cause she would have to match his bet, or she can lose a few chips to hold the rest of her chip.
It would be simple to just not place a bet but his eyes are egging her on.
"You know we've been here for a few minutes and haven't put your poker face back on."
'He right?' She tries to regain her focus but his eyes, his smile. As she was unable to break always she narrowed her eyes.
"What's your game?"
Beastboy tilted his head and leaned forward. "I just want to know if you want to win."
He gave her a dashing smile.
'You're just unfair'
She looks at her card and back at my chips. It doesn't look bad but it could be better, as she is about to play her card Beastboy asks another question.
"Hey…what are you going to do with your month free from your emotions?"
She stops not knowing how to answer, always unpredictable.
'What would I do?'
Beastboy can see that question weighs heavy on her. Seem like they are in the same boat
He began to feel nervous and he felt his face become warm. He didn't know he was feeling this way but everything just felt a little bit hard all of a sudden. Like in two-second it turns from a sunny day to a downpour.
"Uh?..."
She meets his eyes to see a bashful Beastboy. Oddly found this cute, she can feel herself wanting to smile but it was easier to keep the frown than to smile.
"If you got nothing planned we can always just hang out you know?" He said looking over his cards.
Raven's eyes widened, did he just ask her out. No way this is Beastboy the man that loves Blonde girly girls. The outgoing king, the life of the party, the light that never goes out. Just ask her out. Her emotion spiked but she didn't know where. It wasn't in the commons so he hopes it was her room, or anywhere outside.
"I mean, you know cause your emotion each got to do something they wanted and chill and stuff, so uh." He nods his head. "It's only fair that you get the same Rae, I'm pretty sure you can think of something with all that free time."
Beastboy didn't know what happened next but Raven had a genuine smile on her face. It wasn't the small one, she wasn't trying to hide, she just smiled at him. God, he wishes he could just take a picture of that smile. Might have to ask Cy later to print this out from the cameras.
She places her card down. "Yes, Beastboy I want to win."
Beastboy stops and only blinks for a few seconds. He wasn't sure if they're on the same pages anymore. Getting mixed messages again Beastboy didn't know how to answer. But assume it was best to just go with it. "Are you sure?"
"Yes"
"Ok, then I got a pair of 3."
"And I have three of a kind"
Raven got up feeling all her trouble had been lifted off her. "I will be in my room when it's time just drops by."
As she always walks, Beastboy just watches her. He doesn't know why but he felt like he asked the right question at least he thought he did.
"She didn't say no…"
He didn't know what to expect Raven didn't answer his question. Last time she said no so he didn't have much hope. He stays in the commons and surf through the channel. He didn't have much to do but to wait and with Raven patient goes a long wait.
Raven was at her room cleaning, her emotion chatter only grew louder and louder.
"HE ASKS RAVEN OUT." Raven can hear Happy with Envy, Love, and Lust scream.
"Maybe but I believe it is an invitation to just spend time." Said Windom.
"A.K.A. A date" said, Love
"But we didn't make any plans." Mention Rude.
"We didn't even tell him yes." Point timid.
"Guy I know I should be happier about this and I am" Said Envy "But isn't this the same as him asking us to join the group or trying to get Raven to play a game with him."
"But it doesn't have to be," said Timid.
"What do you mean?" Ask Knowledge.
"Um it could be just an invitation but if Raven wants."
Lust understanding what Timid was trying to say interrupted. "We can set up a date with him."
"IT'S A DATE!" Yell Happy with Envy, Love, Lust, and Brave scream again.
Raven took a long sign. "Okay sure I would love that but where will I begin?"
Everyone stops, no one doesn't believe what they are hearing, even Rage is confused.
Raven isn't fighting back. No small lies. No nothing.
"Wait, aren't you going to try and deny it." Ask Brave
"I already admit to others I like him, we are way past that."
Everyone nods.
"You know you may as well say you're in love with him." Said, Love
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves here okay."
"Raven, I'm your Arg." Love doesn't want to get into it again with Raven. "Fine one step at a time, what do you want to do?"
"And when." Ask Lust
"I don't know what you guys think."
"Movies?" Said timid.
"Not too safe, what about dinner?"
"No, that defeats the purpose. I want to go out with him but not let it be a date, like when he was helping me pick out books at the mall."
"What's like a half date?" Ask Happy.
"Yeah, but what do we do?"
"Raven this is your event to plan you must find what you want." Responded knowledge.
"Our influence will not be as welcome here as pre-Beastboy words." Said Wisdom.
"Yeah. But aren't we part of Raven?" ask Envy
"Yes but in this sense, we are all different enough to be our archetype, and Beastboy asks what Raven wants to do." Answer knowledge.
"Oh, I get it. Sorry Rae, we can't help you here." Said, Love
"You flying solo." Brave smile and found it honoring that Raven.
"But I need help."
"Why don't you ask Star." Said Rage before leaving the group to her realm. Laughing a bit too out loud at Raven's situation.
"I don't know."
"It's your Best bet." Said, Lust.
"So it was this hard? You guys had a hard time like this when you were picking your days."
"Some more than others," Rube said, smirking at the group.
"Whatever, I'll meditate over it."
Good luck wishes Happy as the other just left her to her one true question. What will she do will Beastboy? Then it dawn to her, would she get another question as well.
Sleepy, Robin left Star room, hoping that tomorrow she can hold out so he can get a break. He really doesn't mind the added trouble of her matting season cause it only happens once every year and a half. She is usually not as forceful but that one problem for Robin is that it is just too damn hard to say no to her.
In his mind, she by all means just perfect, and she has been with Robin long enough to know the little trick to get him to cooperate. That doesn't mean he can put his foot down when he needs to but Star can't help herself. When Star and Rodin began dating two years ago after Tokyo she was really scared that she would have driven Rodin always with her mating season but he was cool with it. Back then he wanted nothing more than to just be with her.
Star explains that if she weren't in love with someone she would just be fiercer in battle. Which wasn't good cause she would just go all out on every petty thief they come across, but totally destroy most supervillains. He honestly loves this time with her but he just needs one full night's rest. He was lucky his training applied here as well.
"It's only once every year and a half." He signed for a glass of water.
He opens to see Raven and Beastboy eating food. It was one past noon and the two seemed to be relaxing. They exchange looks and nods. By the look of it, Robin received he knew that they knew his reason for not coming back. He found it a little embarrassing but was glad they weren't making a big deal about it. He was even thankful Cyborg wasn't around cause he knew he would comment or two.
"Hey, Rob want lunch?" Beastboy offers.
"Nah I'm good just going for some coffee and a bagel." Taking a seat with the pair he looks at them in awe. 'Could they make a good couple?'
He knew they were polar opposite in pretty much every wait, yet they out of all the titans shared the most in common, their power where one of a kind, with Raven being one of the most if not the strongest magic user in the world and Beastboy endless ability to morph in every creature he sees.
After they visit Star's home planet they show him some of the wildlife around and he turns to everything they show him. It was pretty useful but rarely does Beastboy get the chance to see off-world animals.
She is cold but surprisingly warm when she feels like she needs to be. He is a fool at times, a lovable fool but when the situation calls for it Beastboy was a better leader than Robin.
She has a hard time trusting people while Beastboy is always the first, they both overthink things. She never really lowers her guard but he lowers it for her. She keeps him in line and he brings her out of her head. They are always looking out for each other whether they know it or not. He knows how to talk to her, while she stops him from being too much.
They seem to know what to say to each other even if they don't know if they are always within arm's reach of each other.
Beastboy might not have known when he fell for Raven but when he did it was hard.
He looks odd on how he can be so selfless to her or is it because she needs someone like that. They both have been hurt deeply in the past but always help each other get through it. So what makes them seek each other? As Robin was finally putting the piece together Beastboy and Raven got up.
"Robin, you are making the Slave face again," Raven said. "Should I call Star?" she said holding her communicator.
"What, no "
"Yeah, dude you were so in Slave mode."
"No, I wasn't."
"I should tell Star." Said Raven did not want to deal with another wild goose chase.
"No I swear I wasn't I was just thinking about" Robin stopped rarely would he be caught off guard and this is one of those times.
"About what." Ask Raven, with her power she can easily tell if he is lying and Robin knows this.
Robin looked at Beastboy and Raven, He couldn't say what he was thinking about he could tell them the topic.
"I was thinking about the Team and how as individuals we help each other better."
A moment of silence fell into the room as the TV and rain were the only things that could be heard.
"Jeez, dude you can just say you were thinking about Star."
Robin just blinks a few times and goes with it. "Yeah, you know, trying to propose to her and all."
"Then don't look so gloomy about it," Raven added
Raven's face softened. "Just ask her, it's not like she's ever going to say no."
"I know but I can surprise her if she is always around me."
"Why don't you do it after her mating season cause if you do it now she would probably destroy you?" Beastboy said.
"You think I don't know that, I'm just trying to find my space so I can think." Robin didn't like the idea of Starfire overtaking him in bed but she was able to take a nuclear blast point-blank so he didn't have much of a say there.
"Anyway how much longer on till her thing ends," said Raven trying to be more gentle than Beastboy.
"I don't know if it could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 5 months."
"Really?" Beastboy was a bit worried about his leader.
"Yeah, the star said it has to do with Our sun being so close."
"Oh well, good luck I'm sure you will enjoy it." Beastboy smirks knowing this gets under Robin's skin.
"Ok that's enough, don't you have an agreement to finish?"
"Yeah, we were waiting for you to finish," Beastboy said, patting Robin back.
Raven, still feeling a little nervous nods and begins to leave. Beastboy was next to her as she felt her stomach sink ever so slowly. She drowns him out as she walks toward her door. All she can think of is what would she ask him, what would she do with him. She took solace knowing she had a month to think about but it doesn't make it any easier.
Hundreds of ideas seem wrong when it comes to Beastboy. Not sure what she should do and say. Would it be best to do something he likes, something she likes? No, the best would be to pick something they can both have fun with. But her Emotion basically picks everything.
'So this is how Robin feels, not being sure what he can do with Star. Well, maybe not as bad. It's not like I'm going to marry Him…'
The gears in her mind simply stop moving down the hall. Her face was lightly flush and she could hear her heart in her ears.
"Oh Damn Raven stop working guy." said Happy laughing.
"Glad this wasn't me," said Lust
"Looks like she got Love too". Said Timid Love wasn't working either feeling a bit overloaded by Raven. She was on the floor hugging a green pillow in the shape of the Beastboy head.
"Lust stop that." Brave command Lust to stop hugging herself
"Raven you need control, you thought" Wisdom advice.
"Uh Raven, can you open the door?"
And she did.
She went for the mirror and stepped close to him not saying anything. Beastboy didn't know what was going on but she had a small smile on her face so everything was fine.
Within the vortex, she held on not too tightly but enough to take in his senses. It was only fair seeing how she had her sense memorized.
She landed on him and stayed just a little bit too long but got up and didn't say much. She was surrounded by emotion. Beastboy was once again surrounded by all the Raven. He wouldn't tell her this but he could get used to seeing all of them.
"Beastboy I'm going to miss you." Happy throwing herself at him.
"But I just got here."
"I know but today is your last day with us in nevermore." Explain Wisdom.
"Yeah," said Timid.
"Oh…but we all hang out every time I'm with Rae right?"
Everyone looked at each other and then to Raven who was looking at the floor.
"He is not wrong," said Rube.
"So Beastboy." Lust said, getting his attention. "Mind doing me a favor?"
"Depends." he raises an eyebrow.
"Can you make sure Raven doesn't get bored in her mouth free from us?"
"Uh sure." He wasn't sure what she was asking.
Rage gave Beastboy a pat on the back that felt more like a slap.
"Yeah Rage, nice to see you again?" Looking over the waves at Envy and Brave.
"Greeting Garfield."
He looked at Knowledge and gave a light Bow.
"Please Just Gar, or rather Logan if you dare Knowledge." He was acting as one of the secret agents he saw on TV.
Knowledge quickly turns the other way. Trying to regain her composer and Beastboy chuckle to himself. It was fun messing with her.
Wisdom gave Beastboy a light bow and he did the same.
Love was the last one and made her way too Beastboy smiling as always.
"So this is your final day," Beastboy said. He gave her a gentle look.
"Yup." He smiles as she holds her hand behind herself. Playful like Happy but flirty like Lust.
"Beastboy we are going to skip right to the question then you can leave or stay if you wish."
"Pfft I'm staying and I want to see your realm." He was shocked she wanted him out.
"Okay then. What is it that you want for Raven?"
"To be happy, nothing more or else." Quick and simple as expected.
"But how would you go about that?"
"I don't know." He never had an answer to this question. To what would she really want, what she really needed, or even what she wishes for? He may know what Raven is, what she likes doing, and what she does. But never what she wanted to do. What are her dreams and goals, something he didn't have?
He always wanted to ask and he has in the past. Before he knew about Trigon and her fate she wouldn't answer and leave. And after Trigon he just didn't ask, it felt like Raven needed time to just live and enjoy her daily life. Her days weren't numbered anymore so why not let her be.
Beastboy was living day by day with the titans, never thinking anything more than a few weeks ahead. He doesn't know what he wants. But whatever he does he sure wanted to be around Raven or the team.
"If Happy means she is out traveling the world, then I'll help her do that. If she wants to own a café ill-supported her. If she wants to make a house that has half a library then she will get it. As long she is happy. If she wants to go back to Azarath we will have the best farewell party ever."
As he answers he realizes he still has a lot to learn about Raven.
"What if she doesn't want any of those things?" Love knew that Raven would never go back home, She would want to stay here and do all of those things with Beastboy.
He pauses to think, not knowing what to say. He thought that would be enough. He thought she would love those things. But he wasn't talking to Raven; He was talking to the part of her that would love those things. So he turns to Raven.
"Hey, when we get out of Nevermore would you like to make a bucket list with me."
She was surprised and didn't respond.
"Look I don't know what it is that you want, I don't even know if you've ever been truly happy. So make a bucket list of the things you want to do, you know like trying out food around the world, seeing ruin's, seeing your favorite band front row and whatnot, or even going to a comic con's."
Raven gave him a disappointed look.
"Look you'll love it, trust me, or even getting away from the crime-fighting life for a bit. Whatever you want, let's write it down. I don't know if you'll figure everything out by that list but you might learn something about yourself or the world. As long as it is what you want to do. And if you need help getting started I'll help you out. There's a comic con coming to jump city in the next few months.
"Sure," she said, letting a smile slip while she looked away.
Love walked to Beastboy and held both his hands. " I wouldn't mind some of those things."
"Wait a second." He turns to Knowledge. "You know what, I want to cheat and tell me what Raven wants to do and we will do it."
"YES!" Lust said walking to Beastboy.
"Lust." Yell Love having a serious look about her. "Not today."
"Fine, cant anyone take a joke?"
Love took a deep breath. "Beastboy this way please." She moves to lead the pack to her realm.
"Can't you just tell me!"
"Nope," said Envy, walking by.
"But why?"
Timid tapped his arm getting his attention. "Because it is not our place."
"Timid, would you please help me?"
"Uhhh mmm I." She covers her face with her hood. "I'm not supposed to or Raven would get at me."
Brave got between them. "Hey Beastboy STAHP"
He sighs and whispers, "Damn."
Chatter was the light amount the group, Beastboy found himself surrounded by everyone except Love And Raven. Love walked ahead smiling and enjoyed how everyone was just happy that he was here. It might have been their last day for a long while or even forever. But no one cares about that, it's really all Love ever wanted for her day.
For her sister to enjoy themself, express themself and if it helps Raven mediate in the long run so be it
Yet Raven's mind seems to Race, about everything that has to do with Beastboy. She looks ahead seeing him smile, laughing, and joking about her emoting. She doesn't know how to truly be next to him or even with him. Should she try to balance his happiness or should she seek an answer about his beast? Maybe let his positive energy take over her, throwing caution to the wind and letting things be.
What if Beastboy and her go on different paths, it pains Raven but to her that seems like the likely outcome. How could she talk about the future, when she never put any thought into it? What is she to do if her friends aren't around? She wouldn't go live and with other titans around the world that is not her place. She wouldn't want to live on the road alone but maybe with some company, it wouldn't be so bad.
"Hey, Rae?"
Beastboy said, taking her out of her thoughts.
"After you and Rob are done on afternoon patrol, I want to meet at a café. You know so we can work on the list. I'll let you pick anything you want for dessert."
Raven stops and smiles nodding catching up to the group.
Love walk grinning ahead.
"See Raven no matter what stress, how great your worry, Beastboy can always make them go always."
It was amazing how this human, this non-magical being can do so much for Raven. From when they first meet to even now the list must be miles long. Raven knows she meant for greatness, if she ever went back to Azarath she would be a hero and become head of the Temple where she studied magic. Yet none of that interests her like a green teen that is always seen smiling when she is around.
Once At Love realm Beastboy was speechless. It was a beach, the water was clear and reflected the star above, the clouds seemed to paint the perfect picture. Like there's where two skies lay right on top of each other. He didn't hear the words being said to him as his eyes looked at the horizon. Seeing the full moon greet him was amazing like it was beckoning something deep inside him, trying to tip his scale yet nothing happened.
He turned to see the skies hold the sun on the other side. The stars still shine through the light of the sun. But the color his eyes have been blessed with, house deep shade of the night and the rich warm of dawn. Somehow the two found balance up there dancing. As if the Sun is gentle enough to let the wind still hold the chilling kiss of the night, and the moon loving enough to share the skies with the galaxy behind her.
Beastboy didn't even know but he was already sitting in the water when love sat down next to him.
"Do you like it?" Ask Love laying her head on his shoulder
"Yeah."
"The sky has only been like this three times in my realm." She reached for his arm and held his hand.
"What does it mean?" his head leaned on hers.
"It means Raven truly wants something."
"Like when she wanted to defeat her father." His eyes memorize all he could of the vistas in front of him.
"Yup I still can't think of a name for it." She looks at him with rosy cheeks. Love doing her best to just hold back. But in her realm, the feeling is simply too strong.
"Why not forever dusk"
"Forever dusk that might just be the perfect name. Hope it gets Happy to stop calling shining night"
With a wide eye, he smiled. "This place is amazing, it might even be the best realm so far." He looked at her and stopped. He wishes he could simply tell her how he feels. It felt like the perfect time to say it. But it was either telling all of Raven or nothing at all.
"Pretty sure Wisdom doesn't want to hear that."
He turns to see the group watching for afar, He wonders why the space. Doesn't matter it was Love day so why not give her some time alone with him. She has been waiting all this time.
"So what does Raven want." He shamefully asked.
"Oh no, I can't help you cheat." She leaned in once again.
"She is a hard person to read."
"You're even harder" he nods knowing somehow they figure him out.
"How long have you guys known about that?"
"Since the whole Beast thing."
"Oh." Raven knew since the beginning.
"I kinda made being a friend with you a little hard but Raven learned a lot because of it." Love added
"I'm sorry it's just that I can't let that side of me show itself often."
"The beast?"
"Yeah but others too." His eyes travel to her leg watching the water droplets fall.
"Don't worry we all have our secrets. Even Raven, if you ever get to see Envy realm. You will be surprised."
"Might need to sneak it in one day."
"Good luck but you won't make it far. Probably die trying, Envy had it on lockdown even if I wanted to go there is no safe route in or out."
"Can I get a clue?" He morphs into a puppy begging.
"Nope sorry."
He has given her the saddest puppy dog eyes he could.
"Sorry B Timid is way better than you at this."
He changed back "Damn that was my ultimate move too." He stops and looks at her again as she leans back and the lunar glow shines on her. The tilt of her head, the waist, her chest, her legs, all beautiful but that look in her face her eye, and lips were just divine. "Rae you are so beautiful"
At the moment all the stars in the realm shine and the wind rushes by the beach. He opened his eyes and saw that her expression was so honest. Her hair in the gentle wind and eyes drew him in.
Everyone wondered what he told her, for her realm to react in this matter it must've been something good. All were quite jealous.
"My bad. I should say that to Rae right." He had to pull his eyes away from her once again at the sky seeing some shooting stars now.
Beastboy looks back to Raven. Seeing her only looking at him.
"She really is just so beautiful," he said, not even thinking about who was next to him.
Love was still processing his words. But said nothing being to flush think of anything. They were quiet as the waves and the light breeze could be felt.
"You know this breeze can put me to sleep."
"I would like that."
"Nah it's your day so what are we doing today."
"Beastboy I want to ask you stuff?"
She seemed serious enough to get him to stop stargazing.
"Are you always going to be there for Raven?"
"I want to say something cheesy like the sun for the moon." She laughs. Even Beastboy couldn't help the chuckle that left him.
"Yeah, I'll make sure she has me around in case she needs something."
"What if she wants to paint?"
"Then I guess I'll get her some brushes and paint. I'm sure I still have some around my room somewhere"
"And baking."
"Duh, I have to be there. I think last time was too messy."
"And if she goes to a bookstore, would you keep her company?"
"If she would have me."
The Question began to be anything but that as the two just talk and laugh, having fun chatting about anything.
Raven looked at them and she left that was her with Beastboy. She can see herself laughing like Love, smiling like her, and talking like her. Like Love is showing her how to just be around him. She doesn't stress or freaks out nor even hesitate.
Raven smiles and takes a step forward. She feels jealous, she is jealous that she makes it look so easy, so casual but if she is, to be honest with herself mad cause she looks like they were having so much fun. Some time passed by and.
"I want that."
Raven said getting Timid attention
"Are you sure Raven?"
"Yeah"
"But what if it doesn't work out?" Timid asks, smiling as well.
"I want to anyway." She began to ask herself the right question. The one that always needed an answer but she was too scared to even think about.
"Do you know how?" Ask Wisdom.
"No?"
"That can pose a problem." mentions knowledge.
"I don't care" she shook her head, her eyes only focused on Beastboy.
"What if we get mad." ask Rage
"Doesn't matter."
"And if you say something hurtful again." Added Rube
"I wouldn't"
"But you're going to, you always do Rae." Rube presses on.
"Il fit it."
"And if you can't?" ask Brave.
"I will and if I can't I know he will help me." Love was being tickled by Beastboy.
"What makes you so sure?" Questioned Lust.
"Because it's Beastboy." She took another step forward.
"Why do you want to spend time with him?" Ask Happy.
"I want his eyes on me, I want to know how he feels behind the white noise of his."
"But you already know Rae." Said Lust
"I want to know it all, I want to feel it all. I no longer want to ever feel the white noise again."
"So why don't you get it?" Said Brave.
"I'm not sure how, but." She said taken a step forward.
Raven was happy she was happy that she wanted to try. A bit scared but she always has been. Sure she might get a little mad at his jokes and even say something hurtful. But she has the knowledge and wisdom to fit whatever goes wrong. And if she can't Beastboy would. He always does.
She looks behind to see every one of her emotions just smiling, even Rage. She was happy to finally made up her mind. She wants to do this for herself even if she doesn't know what she is doing. She wants to try and be her person, to have a goal to work toward. Mistakes didn't scare her because it would mean being close to him. It meant she was trying
Raven taps Beastboy in the shoulder getting both their attention.
"Love, can we talk to him as well." Raven gave her a light smile.
"Oh, sorry" Beastboy. said, turning to the others to make his way to emotion. "For my last day, I should spend time with them." He looked at love but she paid him no mind so he left to the other.
Raven and Love just shared a look.
"You said we."
She nods and leaves knowing the weight of her word to Love.
Tears began to form in Love's eyes.
"We," She said grinning. Looking at the skies. A few more stars can be seen racing through the skies.
To Love it finally feels like Raven is beginning to love herself. She might not even realize it yet and she probably never will but she is. Something she has never done, doesn't even know-how. To her, mediating is all she knows, all she needed to do, like finding balance in her powers was all she needed to.
But it was not enough, it was never enough. Reading books and this might have been the closest to her loving something she did. It kept her happy, occupied, and even entertained but a hobby can only help you so far. It's not like Raven hates herself either, it's just she had to stay at peace. So loven what you are really wasn't in her lesson plan in her training. To the monk's Raven feeling that way would mean loving Trigon being half-demon herself.
Love knew that, back when she was a crush, which is one of the reasons she disliked Beastboy so much. If Raven were to ever enjoy being herself, Trigon's influence would be stronger.
Nevertheless, Love always looks up to Starfire for that same reason and even the rest of the team for that matter. They could be proud of what they have done, who they are.
Starfire said something that Love never forgot.
"To love oneself is to love those that are dear to them."
So she couldn't let Beastboy get close but failed. Nothing could stop him.
Yet Beastboy much like Raven has his problem that much Love always knew and that might be why she took an interest in Beastboy. Besides the joke and the charm, Beastboy seems to be very doubtful of almost all his actions in the past but he always follows through.
Back then when Raven can still feel his emotion he may have been a little scared of her but he always looks past that to talk to her. Also, laugh at himself and even get a little rise out of Raven. It must have been small but Love likes to believe that maybe he shares his love with Raven in a way without knowing.
The time seems to always tick away, Beastboy plays, talks, and laughs with everyone. They play childish games, sit a little with Rage, Try some riddle's, and even splash a little in the water but nothing worthy of note happens. Love didn't have anything grand in mind, she just wanted everything to enjoy Beastboy. She could be selfish and keep him all to herself but she did take her time with her little one on one talk with him.
She felt great seeing Raven willing to join in everything they did. Today was more than she wished for and more than she feels like she deserves. It has been a long time but she felt like everything is slowly being placed in the right place. Raven wants to pursue a relationship with Beastboy or at least tell him. She expects that things might not be in her favor and she accepts herself. It isn't just pride, it's true love of oneself. It might be small but all the emotion can feel it. They are getting stronger and closer.
Raven let him stay longer than usual this time.
Once out of Nevermore and her patrol Raven and Beastboy met at a small café near the jump city park and talked. At first, they tried to work on the bucket but ended up forgetting about it and just talking and having a good time.
Back at the tower, Raven wouldn't tell him but when late that night she was working on her bucket list and one of the things on that list was to get closer to Beastboy. She had a light chuckle to herself and crossed it out.
"Damn I really want Him.."
