Damn almost there.

Don't worry the next one will be up soon. Just working in the ED in the holidays with Covic raging in the background leaves very little free time. Since all I want to do is sleep after a long day.
"This is the third time the THIRD TIME STAR!"
The two are in the Raven room.
"Friend, you must believe it will work out."
"Am I cruse? I mean I'm a demon so it's not surprising but why when it comes to dating."
"You may be having bad luck when you're out with Beastboy."
Raven pauses thinking about just going out with Beastboy; it makes her want to try again.
"Would you give it another shot?"
"I have to think about it."
"Maybe Jinx or Bee can help you."
"I already talked to them."Raven curses herself from saying that.
"Oh" Raven felt disappointment in star emotion but she didn't need to; she can clearly see it.
"No Star listens." She said walking to her friend.
It has been three weeks since Beastboy's last trip to Nevermore and things are somewhat normal. Except the Raven can't seem to get a date without something happening that ruins it.
"Look I was going to you right after me and Beastboy got back yesterday but you and Robin were out and when you can back you lock yourself into your room. So I didn't get a chance then jinx called and she told bee so she called as well."
Star's mind trails off to what she and Robin did last night and blush so much that Raven begins thinking about seeing Beastboy naked. And a few second passes as the girl just stays quiet.
"Aaahhh Star focus your emotions are affecting me again."
"Oh please forgive me I am still not used to your new abilities."
"I just don't understand why it's just you and not any of the guys."
"Have you found out anything other than what knowledge has told you?"
"And few things, It seems that I have begun to master my empathetic power. I can use other emotions to fuel my power. But it affects me so much, to add to that I have to control my emotions. I believe since I'm not used to this new power I'm affected by you more than the other cause you never hide what your emotions are." Raven began to think and rant about her questions.
"But the question is why am I only feeling yours or maybe I can only feel you because your emotions are that strong. I remember when you had our bodies swap I had to feel a lot just to fly let alone shoot one of your starblots. And come to think of it, I only remotely felt something from Cy. Rod is no surprise and I can't make any sense of Beastboy again. Could it be that I need a stronger connection with the person? But Cy has been in my head, as well as you and I have been in Robin's head. Beastboy is another case altogether, he can block me and make it so I can't even read his emotions. Do I need to know what emotion I'm feeling to channel it? What would be the most logical way of thinking about this? Yet sometimes I just feel joy when I'm alone reading. So is its radius? Can I even turn it off... "
Star got used to seeing Raven go off on her own like this. She began to talk more out loud since Beastboy last entered her mind. Of course, it is not all the time but only when she is working something out. Usually, it is when she figures something like a spell or a text of some sort but she even gets this way when talking to Beastboy. Star finds this new quick rather adorable.
Star claps her hand, snapping Raven out of her thoughts.
"So Raven, did you find the cause of your new strength?" Stars float around the room playing with Raven pillows.
"Well it has to do with me accepting the emotion for everything they are, and everything I am."
"Which emotion was it you didn't expect?"
Raven stops and wonders a bit she knew it was all of them but she knows it is Lust and Love.
"All of them in a way."
"So what made you accept them?" Raven stays silent for a minute, she knows Star could just figure it out but is still asking. She was a bit embarrassed to say it.
"Seeing how they were with Beastboy, how they talk, laugh, and have fun, I wanted that too. It wasn't enough to see them enjoy their time with him. Even if they are a part of me, I felt like I was missing out."
"Oh, I see you didn't fully accept Love."
Raven hung her head."You don't have to say it like that."
Star laughs. "But don't you already do all of those things with Beastboy."
"But but I want more.,"
"So it was Lust and Love."
"... Star please Let's get back on track." Star spun
"Oh yes please tell me what happens."
Sitting on the bed the two began to talk about Raven's third failed date with Beastboy. She and Beastboy were at the park, they got ice cream and everything was going fine. They walk around and talk, laugh and even had a little playful fight.
"So things are getting a little late, nothing out of the ordinary and he said I like this place down the block."
"So you talk?"
"A lot of it was great. We had fun. He kept teasing me but I kept making jokes."
Star notices that looking at Raven's face she looks a lot like Happy. The joy on her face was priceless if Beastboy saw this...
"So what else."
"Once we got there everything was nice. It was an amazing place playing lounge music. It was chill and I noticed something."
"What was it?" Star now hanging on every word.
"What a look on his face. I don't see it a lot but he was relaxed. Like in Wisdom's realm."
"Isn't he always?"
"No Star, this was different. I'm not sure how but when he looked at me I felt like everything was going to be okay. I couldn't speak for a few minutes. We got our table and got a menu. The warm look he had while holding his menu, the smooth music, and the smell of the place. No one cares that we were titans and no one even came to greet us. So I felt like I had to tell him I thought I could tell him. But then we heard an explosion outside and I lost that look in his eyes. Everybody was yelling and screaming and Beastboy was out before I knew it, getting people to safety.
"Oh yes, you stop Johnny Rancid."
"We stop Johnny Star."
"But Beastboy says you went straight to him and gave him the beatdown."
"He ruined my moment, now that place is close to being repaid." Some items began to float but quickly fell to place.
"I understand Raven when I and Robin are out and some foe comes to disturb my night. I do attack with the vengeance."
"I didn't lose it, Star I was in control."
Star gave her the eyes of understanding. Raven knew Star wasn't buying and he would know more than anyone. First, it was Billy Numerous at the movies, then Punk Rocket at the bock's while she and Beastboy were out near the beach.
"Okay fine I went a bit far but he had it coming, and besides this was my third date with him and it was ruined. I don't know what else to do. And in a few days, my emotions will begin talking to me."
"The last few weeks have flown by."
"So do you want to give it one more try, Raven?"
"I don't know if nothing works."
"Raven it is not easy to win the heart or proclaim your heart for someone but it is always the best thing you can do for yourself." Star rolling in the air.
"I don't know if I can get this to work with him.
"If you don't wish for it to happen you can always stop."
"But it's Beastboy." This made Star laugh. And Raven was just surprised that Star would laugh."Hey" Raven crosses her arm
"No don't get me wrong friend, you used to have such a dislike for Beastboy now he is all you want. And now it feels like I can help you like you did when I was worried about Robin. It feels like we are sisters."
Raven knew the weight of Starfire world. She felt honored really.
"Thanks for talking, that means a lot to me."
Star gave her a hug
"Star not too hard."
"I'm sorry Raven." she didn't let go and Raven couldn't stop smiling.
"I don't know Cy if it just feels weird."
"But it's Raven dude."
"I know but I never thought she would, you know, want to ask me out anywhere let alone three times."
"But it happened." Cy was rather animated in this conversation.
"And it's still weird."
Cy and Beastboy were in the gym running some data on their last mission. Talking about Raven's sudden interest in Beastboy.
"But let me ask you what part of it is that weird part."
"I'm not sure."
"Cause to everyone that not you been talking how she hangs with you almost as much as Star. To add that you were invited to her uh? Mind."
"Nevermore."
"What?"
"It's called Nevermore," he said taking his
"Oh anyway, you've been in her mind and seen things I don't think I want to know."
"It wasn't all that bad, it was pretty cool actually," Beastboy says as Cy checks this temperature.
"See that you got to see a side of her no one in the world will ever see. Well, you and Star but that's beside the point. Maybe in this rare blue moon, you should try."
"Dude, I have been ever since I knew I liked her."
"Have you."
"Look what if we aren't like Star and Rob where we need a giant villain. Or like you and Bee where you guys just do it all casually. Raven needs to be ready." Beastboy threw his hands out to the skies, making a strong case for himself.
"Look I get what you're saying I do but let me ask you this what is the weird part about this."
"That she would ask me, I guess."
"Then you ask her."
"I did."
"You did."
The Records room door opened as Robin came in with a paper in his hand reading yesterday's report.
"Beastboy, are you sure Raven went nuts on Johnny." He asks, looking down at the paper. "There wasn't any footage on the news about it."
"Yes Rod, I saw her do it."
"Did her magic cause some damage to the store and surrounding area?" Robin flip the pages looking at the cost of said damage
"No, that was Johnny trying to run from Raven."
"Alright, and how was it last night." He asks trying to be as discreetly
CY burst out laughing "Boy wonder is as bad as Star when it comes to hiding his curiosity." Cy said.
"Bet he wants to know more than Star." Added Beastboy
"No, I thought since you're here so I would ask." his cover has been blown.
Beastboy and Cyborg gave Robin a look. Robin can hide a lot but when Beastboy and CY are working together they can crack him wide open.
Feeling the pressure Robin gives in. "Fine whatever, how did it go?"
"Nothing, another failed outing but it was fun." He hangs his head down.
Robin looks at Cy for more details.
"He said I feel weird," Cy shrugged.
"How she hang with you almost as much as Star"
"That's what I said." The two nod in agreement.
"Look, it is not easy adding this layer to our relationship. Okay. I'm scared and at any moment if she wants she can disappear back to her room. Remember she used to do that a lot when I first asked her to be part of whatever the team is doing. Sure sometimes she stays but every time she leaves. I left like I lied to her. I told her she would have a good time then she didn't or maybe she did, or it was too much for her. She doesn't give me much to work with.
Beastboy signs and rubs his face.
"I also told her it would be fun but when she left like no one would notice, she would leave. But I did. Tell me any useful tips for a girl that can leave at any moment, not tell you what is going on and thinks you're an idiot most of the time. Look Starfire and Bee are Straight forward Raven is not."
"Damn that hard." Cy thought about it and BB has it hard. His view of the situation does explain why he is so cautious.
"Didn't think of it in that way," noted Robin.
"So that's why I will wait for her," Beastboy said.
"But is that your only choice?" asked Robin
"Uh?"
"I mean you can ask her to save her the trouble," Robin added
"I did that last year. She said no and closed the door on my face. She assumed I was just messing with her. Which hurts."
"Yeah but now she might?" CY said.
"Look for your guys, it might have been easy. Star was begging you for attention. Everyone knew she would say yes even if you asked her while in battle." Beastboy pointed his finger at Robin
"Yeah, that's true." Cy tilts his head in memory of the past few years.
Beastboy now aims at Cyborg "And you. If you like someone and you know they like you back you might as well say something. Sure she is the leader of the titans east but come on man you had your Robin moment."
"To be fair I thought she was being nice all the time." Cy didn't much think people would consider him as a love interest. Being half-human and all.
"She is nice to me, Bee is like you," Beastboy explain
"But Rae likes you," said Cy.
"Can both of you say that with being 100% sure of yourself?"
No one spoke. Their faces show how little they knew of the Beastboy situation.
"Look I'm trying here it may look like I'm doing nothing but I learn from history with Rae. When to let her breathe and when to not leave her alone. But I have no idea what to do and that's killing me here."
"Maybe you're overthinking it." Said Robin. "Look yeah it might have been obvious for everyone but for the life of me I couldn't think of one reason why Star would even like me. Let alone want to go out with me. Yes, all the signs were there."
"You can say that twice." Cyborg interrupted.
"Oh my god, you guys aren't ever going to let that go." Robin
"Yep"
"Maybe marry her already." Ask Cy while taking a seat.
"I'm trying."
"Okay, but we are both your best man." Beastboy Demand.
"I was thinking of asking Bruce but that is a good idea."
"Awesome" Beastboy and Cy high each other
Yeah!" Beastboy scream
"Alright! We officially have one over Batman himself."
"Okay, don't say it like that" Robin stops and chuckles to himself "Look back on the topic. What I'm saying is that no matter, and I mean no matter how much you think about it you will never know what she is thinking."
"But she can read my thoughts"
"GOOD," Robin said.
"What?"
"Yeah you lost me," added Cy.
"Let her know you are interested." Cy got what Robin was saying nodding to that idea.
"Haven't I. Like I'm sure I made it clear." All three nod In agreement.
"How couldn't she now see it now?" said Robin
"It could be just a Raven thing." Say CY
"What if she is just shooting in the dark you might need to give her a little push. Isn't that what you always do?" Cy explain.
"And if you're wrong."
"Doesn't mean you're going to stop going after Raven," Cy added, with a grin
"No, not really."
"Kool as long as you know that she might need a sign to know I think you'll be fine."
"You know that wasn't half bad Rod." Cy mention.
"Look, I've been doing this for a while. I learn a lot while being with Star. I just hope that you and Raven figure it out, it is not easy but if you guys can, that would be cool."
"Thanks, I got a lot to think about." Beastboy left the room going to the rock. Robin world did send a message to him and he understood it.
"Wow Robin didn't think you had it in you to join team BB but you will still own me 50 if they do get together."
"Should have put a damn time limit."
"Yea you should have."
"Fine whatever I just want then to talk it out but Beastboy is right Raven always has an exit plan even if it is on impulse," Robin said getting back on the subject.
"She has been warming up to him the most so I think he will be fine." Cy turns the monitor.
"He just needs the right moment."
"Should we help?" ask Cy
"He'll come up with something he always does and he knows who to ask if he needs a little assistance."
The time seems to pass as Beastboy's interaction with Raven reverts to how things were. He put a lot of thought into what Robin said and even tried to get to Raven on a couple of occasions but she was always quick to leave, he just can't get the girl to sit down.
It was the last day of Raven's free mouth.
Sitting on the roof of the tower Beastboy was just enjoying the moment. He had his guitar and was having a little jam session. Ever since Raven started blowing him off he was looking for a way to keep his mind off her, the gym helped, so this fighting crime but games and music were the best for him most of the time. Sometimes he can just dive in.
He began to sing it wasn't anything amazing but in his groove, he found it perfect.
That was when he smelt the sweet lavender in the air and stopped. Raven was coming and he didn't know what to even do but he did not have much time. She was walking to the door.
WE SHOULD STAY
"No." He said, "She knows where to find me."
Picking everything up he walks to the door as Raven opens the door and looks shocked.
"Beastboy? I didn't think you would be up here."
"Not anymore." He smiled, "I was just jamming and got to write something down." He said so casually walking by her without giving the goth girl a second look.
GO, Raven yells one of her emotions. But she did nothing. Simply look at the door, feeling like meditation would be a bad idea.
She didn't know which emotion spoke and she didn't even care. She just wants to talk to Beastboy. Yet some small fear stops her. She wants to just tell him everything but doesn't know what to do, she freezes up and leaves.
Looking at the floor she asks herself. "Why is this so hard?"
Star words always come back to her in moments like this.
"You will need to find the strength to speak Raven, once you do that everything would be better."
Jinx and Bee agree to say something along the same line.
She was about to warp to her room when the door opened.
"Ok Raven, listen, things have been weird and I need to know what's up. Did I do something in the last outing we had? Cause I would like to hang out with you again." His shoulders were lower even his ears. He looks so cute to her.
She blushing everything was hard. She didn't know what to say, didn't want to look away, didn't want to stay there with him but didn't want to leave. She couldn't speak yet her mind races.
"Why is this so hard to do?"
"Huh?" Beastboy blinks 'I knew I should have just left.'
"Beastboy," she said, unsure of what she was doing.
It's been a few days since she was able to look him in the eyes. She knew she was head over heels for him and it just drove her nuts.
"I don't think I can." Those words felt heavy like the team she helped Terra push up the Titans Tower.
"Oh okay." a false smile posted itself on his face. Not the words he was looking for but if this is what Raven wants. Funny that it seems he never knows what she wants anymore. Maybe he never did. Maybe next time would be better.
The wave crashed far below as nothing was said Beastboy's eye looked around for something to talk about to move on from this topic yet nothing. Making his way toward the door.
"But."
"Yes"
'She said but.' he was hanging on her every word.
"I just don't know." She stopped wondering what to say.
"Know what?" confusing is all he had.
"It's hard to say."
"Can I get a clue"
"No!" she yells.
A normal reaction he assumes.
"Why not?"
"No Beastboy, I just can't.'' Her heart is making it hard for her to think. As they talked he took steps closer to her and now only a meter away Raven can't look him in the eyes. She looks down but stops only to see his pants. Finally, she turned around looking at the horizon. It was clear and blue with beautiful clouds everywhere. But she still had to give him some explanation.
"Okay, then I'll be going." Raven didn't want to talk so he couldn't do anything to make her.
Those words hurt her. Like she was losing it.
"Oh Azar, come on Raven do something." she heard an emotion again unsure of who.
"I don't know, I can't, I don't even know what I want."
"Maybe I can help you." he turned back to her. His eyes shining in the light, his smile and her heart weak. She just wanted to tell him everything but nothing could come out. She was too scared to let her action speak so she stood there. Ready to leave back into her room. Warping was her only option; she just told him later he always understands Beastboy.
A loud sign can be heard in nevermore and Love voice can be heard.
"Your bad habits are coming back, Rae. Let me help." Must've been Love. She couldn't tell at this point her mind was focused on Beastboy.
'How?'
"Repeat everything I said."
"Beastboy I am going through something I don't know what it is. I would like to figure it out by myself first. If I can't come to you for help."
"Really?" He asks
She nodded and gave him a small smile. He saw her smile. Been a while, small but still a smile.
"Okay, you know where to find me." Soon she was alone. The roof felt so different than it did a minute ago. Her mind wasn't racing any longer. She didn't get it.
"You're welcome." her emotion said before becoming silent once again.
To be honest, Raven is only here close to Beastboy if even for a little bit. Yet that is easier said than done. She hasn't centered herself in a while all she could do is think about him. Every time she closes her eyes she sees his smile, everything she goes to sleep she wishes he was there. And every time she wakes she misses his touch.
She didn't know how long she was up on the roof but Starfire found her sitting looking at the clouds. The two sat there in silence for a bit as Raven ate the dinner Starfire brought with her.
"Star." Take a bite of her creamy potatoes and fried chicken and gravy Cyborg special.
"Yes, Raven."
"I think I screwed up again." Raven looks at her food. It was delicious but current events have affected her appetite.
"Oh," she looked at Raven fearing the worst.
"But we made up right after." She pauses thinking about her actions. "I told him I'll go to him if I need help."
"That great Raven."
"And Starfire.
"Yes."
"I can't stop thinking about him."
"I know." She smiles and watches the color of the sky turn to stars with Raven.
Raven said no more with a light pink color in her cheeks.
Nothing happened on this day. Raven didn't tell Beastboy how she felt. She didn't get a chance to ask him on another date. She didn't know how the time flew by her but all she did was think about Beastboy. Nothing negative just about his smile, how cute he looks, like a cat or a puppy, Axolotl, and a tiny octopus. When he was there for her all those times. Everything he did to get her to smile and even laugh. In some odd way to Raven this day was fun. She didn't do anything and found the idea completely ridiculous, yet the way she felt. For lack of a better term for her, today was a good day.
Getting ready for bed she focuses like always on her meditation. For the last week or so she had a hard time focusing, something that she swears is Beastboy's fault yet she can't bring herself to blame him. Tonight she found her peace, it was easy. She didn't notice the time and felt sleep take her.
Beastboy was awake, his nocturnal got a hold of him and wouldn't let him sleep. With nothing to do, he went to the beach and let the waves calm his mind. Nothing seemed to do the trick cause it was pretty late. He tried the gym, made some food, watched a show, and played some games. But nothing, not even a hint of tire hit him.
"Let's see if a book would do."
Cleaning the mess he made, he went to his room and took a book. He took his guitar well and went to the common. It was 4 in the morning and just read and played whenever he finished a chapter. He was enjoying himself again and soon the sun was rising. He went out to the beach and saw the sunrise. The sound of waves always seems to get him in the right mode.
As he plays his guitar the sun peaks over the bay.
Raven was up early and she slept so well. She fell asleep so early that she didn't even have time to get in bed properly. She wasn't even in her pajamas. She hated it when that happened but it didn't bother her. She felt so fine like she had a handle on things. While in the shower she thought of Beastboy and didn't stop to blush about him she just smiled and moved on to her next task. Getting tea and meditating. She opened the roof and everything felt right. The wind was calm but still passed by her and everything sky colors where who she likes.
"I love this time of day."
She sat down and closed her eyes right before she said her mantra. She felt like something was off. The white noise wasn't in its usual location. Beastboy was up again.
He felt like he was greeting the sun and his music was waking it up. A childlike smile forms on his smile. So he jammed for what felt like a while and didn't stop. Finishing he sat done laughing at himself. Finally feeling tired. The breeze was just cool enough to put anyone to sleep.
He laid back and looked at the sky.
Raven walks up to him.
"Enjoy yourself."
Beastboy wanted to jump and run but he was way too tired from that. " Yeah it was fun pretending to be a rockstar."
She sat down next to him.
"When you wake up."
"Yesterday." With his eyes closed.
She nods, understanding that this does happen from time to time.
He looks at Raven and notices that she seems normal.
"It's good to have you back Rae."
She smiled. "Sorry I was having a hard time with my emotions."
With his eyes closer Beastboy simply replied to her words. "You haven't been meditated like you normally do."
"How did you know?"
"Cause you spend a lot of time with the star and talking to Bee."
"Huh?"
"Cy Told me you and Bee have been talking a lot. You guys had gotten closer, with Jinx as well I assume. I'm really glad for you."
"Oh." She has been talking to the girl about Beastboy. She didn't realize it was a lot for others to notice, maybe Robin but not Beastboy.
"Did you use the music box?"
"I did try that." but it only made her think about him even more.
"I hope your emotions did not give too much trouble."
"They were quiet for the most part."
"Good." He said before dozing off. He always formed the light, which was away from Rave. So she got up and sat on the other side of him to see his face.
There it is something that Raven just knows. She has never been able to put it into words but some who Beastboy and her just understand her.
Sure StarFire is Raven's best friend and pretty much the only person she would do pretty much anything with. Almost anything this is Raven we talking about.
For some reason whenever Raven is having a hard time dealing with anything like her powers, nightmare, or even in the past with rage, having Beastboy around was a little of what she needed.
After a lot of thought over the last month, she noticed that whenever she needed a little help he was there doing something foolish or not. After she put it to words in the Star slumber party, she began to see it more and more in her memory. He just picks up on the small things. When she was worried, troubled, and even sometimes bored. It would explain why she used to go to the common if Beastboy was there. Back then she didn't want to talk to him, just be in a room with someone she trusted. But now that trust is so much more.
Seeing him sleep was rather cute. It was a bit funny out of everyone she could have fallen for it was him. She used to question it but now she likes that fact.
Raven let him rest. The breeze felt good and his light snore was cute, to say the least.
She thought it was time to meditate and talk to her emotions. Knowing them, they are going to have a lot of opinions about the last month. She reflects on herself. On what she was trying to do. It was fun talking to Star, Bee, and Jinx. She remembered laughing with them a few times. Jinx was always coming up with a crazy way to get Beast Boy with Raven alone, and Bee was stair forward. It helps Raven a lot even if she feels like she made no headway with Beastboy. Yet to her becoming a little closer to them was almost as important as Beastboy.
Closing her eyes he spoke her mantra and found herself in Nevermore. All her emotions were present and real. To her, it felt weird like saying hi to an old group of friends.
"So what ups."
"Beastboy," said Timid.
"Still cute as ever," said Happy.
"And to think you almost screw it up yesterday Raven." said Envy
"Glad Love took the lead," said Lust.
"Listen, I wasn't myself," Raven explained.
"Yes you forgot to center yourself for 2 weeks," said Knowledge.
"I just couldn't stop thinking about him."
"But that is what we all want, Raven." added Wisdom
"I know it just."
"Hard to stop right Rae," said Love
"Why are you calling me that?" Raven found it very odd to hear that world.
"Cause you like the nickname DUH," said Lust.
"Urg it grew on me."
"So what are we going to do?" ask Brave. "I mean you are still going to try to go out on a date."
"He did tell us you would like to hang out." said knowledge looking over her notes on Beastboy.
"But Raven said no." Said Rube.
"Yeah, why did I do that?" Raven looked around and didn't see anyone taking the blame which means she is to blame.
"You freak out." Rage finally spoke in the back.
"I just wanted to jump him then and there," Raven says, looking at Lust.
"Oh man, I know Star has given me way too much power Raven. I swear it is so hard to hold all of this back, I mean the dream we could have of him alone would destroy the tower." Everyone was silent and only looked at Lust. "What, I can't help it. I'm here for one reason."
"Yes, about that knowledge, do you have anything on how to better control this new power?"
"Well, there isn't much the monk in Azarah never thought you were going to make it to this phase of your powers." She said summoning another book and quickly opening it.
"You are at the point where you learn to see and feed off other emotions."
"OH Like, a vampire." ask Happy.
"Huh?... Ah no more like she is a battery, or better said she can store emotion and use it to increase her magic abilities."
"So why does Star lust affect her so much?" asked Love.
"I'm not sure but I believe it since Raven has accepted Star and understands her emotion better than anyone else in the tower. It also seems that ever since she swapped bodies with Her there have formed some soft emotional link. As Beastboy would say. : Magic is weird like that:"
"Like the connection with Robin's mind." ask Envy
"I am unsure but from what I have been able to tell it seems like Raven can absorb Star emotion faster than for example Robin." Wisdom added. "But Robin is one to keep his in check for the most part."
"So I can still go to the city and be unaffected by the people around me."
"You might not be." Said Wisdom. "For example on your dates you focus on Beastboy and you didn't seem to have any trouble in public."
"Ok, so how do I control it?" Thinking about the time would be alone.
"All I was able to find is some rare charm that offers little help to you but comes with time and complete understanding of your and other emotions. At some point, you would be able to block one emotion for a short while so it doesn't affect you."
"That could be handy added." Rude noted.
"Can I just block one forever would be nice to have one less thing to deal with for once," Raven asked?
"If you do, your power wouldn't be complete, much weaker and you would never be able to center yourself again," Brave said.
"You need all to be whole Rae." Wisdom said while knowledge, Happy, Love, Lust, and Timid nod behind her.
"Come on you too."
"Sorry." Wisdom laughs, it slips.
"Ok that's cool and all but we're here for the important stuff. Beastboy what the plan." ask Lust.
"Ask him again I guess."
"Should we have a plan?" Ask Barve
"I wanna wing it this time."
"No now that we can be part of the progress, can we please talk about this?" Ask Envy.
"I still want to do this myself."
"Noooo!" Said Happy.
"Thinking about Raven, we might have some good suggestions." mention Rube.
"Sure what you guys are thinking about."
"We need to go somewhere far." mention Timid.
"Huh?" Said everyone to a timid suggestion.
"No, mm. I mean what if we get out of the city and hero thing for a little bit and travel with Beastboy for a while maybe we can find some spark camping or even going around having fun." Timid Stop thinking about what she just said and blush.
"Oh someone has been reading My books," said Love.
"That sounds amazing but that sounds more like something couples do." Said Raven.
Timid paid no mind; she was lost in her daydream.
"It would be cool to skip all of this." Rude made a bean bag appear for everyone and they all got a seat in a circle.
"We can't." Said knowledge holding the green book once again.
"And why not." Ask Lust. "I just want to skip all this fluff."
"We don't understand his feelings for us. Let's say we let Lust take control and she goes all out on Beastboy that could drive him away. That might make him lose interest altogether. "Wisdom said, using her magic to get tea for everyone.
"Do you think he is going to turn me down?"
"He already did,'' Rube said.
"Oh right?"
Rage sat it down next to her only watching and wondering why they don't Believe in Beastboy more.
"So many ideas guys." Ask Happy.
"Why don't we just go to the arcade with him. It is somewhere he likes and if you think about it, wouldn't it be nice to do something he would like. Like when he came to us." asked Love.
"A Beastboy day." Singing Happy.
"Good idea," said Brave.
"That way he does all the work. And all I have to do is be there." Raven liked the idea. She has been putting too much thought into her date with Beastboy this time.
"So you're going to ask him to take you out on a date of his choosing," said Envy.
"It's not all that creative and that's what is perfect about it." noted Knowledge
"What if we don't like it?" Rage was right Raven can be very fickle.
"Hey, this is Beastboy I'm sure he wouldn't pick something Raven would hate." Said, Love.
"So when you are going to ask him" Wisdom took a sip from her tea.
"I don't know tomorrow after he gets enough sleep."
"I wonder if Beastboy will go all romantic, a date, movies, and dinner. A long walk on a star-filled night sky." Love was having fun with this.
Soon the talk began with a recap of what Raven did on her past "dates" the green titans. It was lively chatter honestly, even if Rage, timid, and Rube didn't say much.
The first date wasn't anything big. It was a simple outing with the green boy. She had something to do in town and took him along. They went to a bookstore and then to the charm master. The book store's usual stuff. Beastboy and Raven split up, but after Beastboy was told four times that he was being too loud so they left. For the Charm-master is a rare shop that comes every now and then to jump city. She is an older lady named Alice in her late 30's and good-looking enough to make Star a bit jealous. Raven came to her for a token of wisdom and for anything that could pique her interest magical books, scrolls, etc. Something she knew the other didn't know about but only people in the art of the mystic would know where and how to find her.
Once Alice had her lock with Beastboy all she did was talk to him. Calling him one of a kind and a very interesting find for Raven. This made them both blush. Alice loves teasing Raven but seeing Beastboy's reaction makes her focus on him. Asking questions and following the Titan. While acting as a tour guide, This drove Raven nuts cause Beastboy seemed to love it and Alice messed with Raven. Needless to say Raven wanted to go and soon did but Alice told her to never let him go because he can only love one. Much like a wolf.
Those words hit Raven a little closer causing her to lose focus and teleport her and Beastboy to her room. She had some more plans but she needed to focus on keeping her powers in check.
The second date was a little more official Raven got for a place she had been eyeing for a while. It was a small place with a goth/vegan setting. This date was more her but she figured she rather enjoys herself cause Beastboy would like to see her have fun and that he did. It was fun, really fun, they laughed and everything felt nice but nothing was right enough for Raven. Didn't help that every girl in the place kept looking at the two of them. Made her nervous. She was dressed up in a black tank top with lace spider glove and dark ripped jeans. Got a couple of more looks then she hopes but that what happens when jinx picks your clothes. Beast Boy was wearing a skully and a dark gray muscle shirt with biker gloves. His pants were black as well but ripped at the kneel with combat boots. Raven couldn't lie to the girls he knew how to dress the way she liked.
They eat and watch the band play and once everything goes quiet they begin to walk to the peer. Once they got a second to sit down and began to talk, Robin Call had trouble at the bank. Mad Mod was low on cash and picked the wrong night to take some out.
Sometime later Raven felt like she was once again at peace, she talked things out with her emotions. She was in balance and thought this would be nice every once in a while. Sure it is slower to talk to all your emotions she notices but it could be fun.
The Communicator beep and Raven was once again back to the real world. Beastboy was still asleep and the sun was much higher than she remembered. Seeing the clock she noticed she had been talking to her emotions for close to two hours. "Good morning Raven."
"Hello." her monotone came back. Robin took this as a good sign. He knew she had been off lately but didn't pry. Star did that for him.
"It's time for our team training. I was calling Beastboy but he didn't pick up. Can you please bring him while you're on your way.?"
She looked at the floor and saw the Beastboy still asleep and gave a nod. Robin ended the call and Raven feet found the ground.
"Beastboy."
No reply.
"Beastboy."
Nothing.
"Gar wake up.".
He opened his eyes.
"We got training today."
"No."
"What?"
"Sleep"
"Beastboy!"
"I quit being a hero. Sleep is more important."
She rolled her eyes "Come on Beastboy."
"Let me sleep this once please" Dozing off once again using his arms as a pillow.
"We should let him sleep." Said Wisdom. "He had a long night."
Raven nods and uses her magic to bring him to his room. Laying him on the bed put his guitar down and gave him a pillow which he happily accepted then she called Robin.
"Yes, Raven."
"Beastboy can't come today."
"And why not." He sounded annoyed.
"His power keeps him up all night again."
"Oh it has been a while, okay let him sleep we will wait on you and practice four-man formation.
"I'm not going either."
With a heavy sigh, Robin had to ask "Why?" He hated it when his team skips practice.
"My powers are evolving and I need to know how I should use them before I can practice anything. I have some books I will need to read before I can explain it to the team."
This was interesting news for him and understood Raven's reasoning. Magic for Raven was a serious matter. Good thing she made Star promise not to tell anyone.
"I understand, please let me know if there is something you need for help, or if Cy needs to look at your vitals while you're using your new power."
"I ask if I need help." Robin nodded and went to train with Cy and Star.
Alone in the Beastboy room felt weird, and this realization made her heart quicken. All she did was sit next to him and let him sleep. Maybe just lay next to him or even Meditate on the bed while he sleeps.
"You help me relax," she said, looking at him with love. His ear twitched."Cheater."
She went back to her meditate and missed the smile on his face.
Beastboy woke up in his room. He didn't look around; she was right there at his desk reading. She was focused by the number of books he knew she was in research mode. The floating books, having their pages turn as she speeds read.
'Why' he asked out of habit. He didn't care for a reason. Not wanting to brother her he morphs into a fly and leaves to get a snack.
Once at the Common room he saw Rodin playing games with Cy. The usual scene is Star sitting next to them with her lovely little silky.
"Hey B," Said Cy
"Hey, Guy oh Sorry about practice today Rob."
The titans still focus on his game. "Just came to get a snack or two."
"Oh, Beastboy." Call Starfire.
"Have you seen Raven? I was speaking with her earlier before Robin called me. And once I returned she was gone."
'Oh, she avoids Star, wonder why.'
"Haven't seen her, think she could be meditating."
"Her door wasn't locked so I entered but she wasn't there. And unlike Raven, leave without informing the team."
"I'm sure Raven will be fine if she doesn't want to be found she won't be."
"That is true alright, I will wait for her to make her appearance."
Getting his veggie juice he went for the door. Walking to his room he wondered what subject matter Raven could be avoiding.
"Did she sneak into my room?" He just laughs at himself, it sounds so ridiculous yet it was true. Walking into his room he notices the Shock horror look on Raven's face. The floating book all fell. All it took was a second and Beastboy's room was a mess. They stare at each other for a second. Then the Beastboy looked at his bed, the bookcase, his closet, and pictures. It dawned on him why Raven would React like this.
Raven Ran up to him and pulled him in. Basically throwing at the floor. She quickly slammed the door shut. Looking at him she was furious. Walking over him, her eyes remind the Beastboy of rage.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again? Or you will find yourself in the dark pit of Nevermore!"
He blinked a few times. "Hey, this is my room."
"I don't care." She got louder. "I came here to study."
"Why come to my room, while I'm sleeping."
"Doesn't mean you can scare me like that." She really didn't want to ask that question.
"Wait, why did you come here?"
"It doesn't matter."
"Why are all those books here?" His eyes got bright with excitement.
"What does it look like?" Raven saw great wonder in his eyes.
"Are you going to show me magic." he began to work toward his desk.
"NOO!"
" Awww but can you at least tell me why you're here."
She was getting nervous again."No." she turns always form him
"Rae!"
She simply took a deep breath
"Rae!"
She didn't say anything to him.
"Rae really?"
"..."
"Raven?"
"What?" She smiled, feeling like she was enjoying herself. Back this turn to him. 'How long have we innocently had a play fight like this.'
Beastboy can't believe he got the silent treatment in his own room. He swears it is something only Raven can do.
"Why are you in my room? You're only here when you have a reason."
"That is a need to know and you don't."
"It's my room."
"..." This is a mess and she doesn't know where to go with this anymore.
"Is it that you want to hang out with me?"
"No." her lips part as he hit it on the mark.
"Was it that Star bothering you that much?"
"What No?" he got her attention with that line finally seeing her eyes.
"Then what is it?"
"Just drop it."
Raven was about to gather her book but Beastboy put his hand on then. He felt like he needed to press the matter
"Come it wouldn't hurt to let me know right.
"Just let it go."
"Rae please."
Oh, Azar, she wishes she had more control of her words.
"Cause you to help me FOCUS!" She stops her face now red from a blush. The bed jumped up.
"What?" He wasn't sure if he heard her right. Slowly a small smile began to form. It was like the world didn't matter at that moment, only her words.
She was shocked that she said it without thinking. Her turn portal opened behind her. She turned about to leave.
All Beastboy can think is 'Stop her.'
"Don't!"
She looked back seeing his bashful smile.
'Said something to keep her here. Think man, Think.`` Looking around all he saw was a mess.
"Urg can you help me clean?" She nods and doesn't do anything. She doesn't even make eye contact. Her heart pounds in her chest she doesn't know what to say.
'I said something too early. I ruined it. I shouldn't have opened my mouth. I just had a fight with him. This was the worst place to say anything. Why didn't I stay in my room? How could I even talk to him now.' Her mind is full of questions but not a single answer.
Beastboy wasn't sure what to say, but he felt like this was his chance. Wonder how he helps her focus. What does his sleeping have to do with her magic was she casting a spell on him. No, she wouldn't so why here with him. He gave Raven a quick look and saw her panic look on her face.
'I should just tell her, it's okay to feel what I do.' He finally asked himself the right question.
She uses her powers.
'What if she doesn't feel what I feel. It doesn't matter'
And he did what little he could.
'She is beautiful and it is only natural that I feel this way.'
He picked up the pictures as a stop of the one of Raven smiling.
'Even if nothing comes of my feeling she should know that someone truly loves her.'
Getting to the room clean didn't take a look and soon it was done. She was getting her books when Beastboy took one and held it away.
'I guess it's my turn to act, a bit overdue?'
"Rae"
"Beastboy please, I'm not in the mood."
"Yes, you are."
She didn't know how to react. Her eyes lock in shock with him. While he seems calm. That look made everything better, the passive ability he has on her. He was sometimes too much to deal with. This look reminds her a little of the battle with the brotherhood of evil. Beast Boy was serious about something.
"Look Beastboy, I'm sorry I was in your room."
"I really don't care about that."
"What." she again was hit with the unexpected
He put the book down on the desk.
"What is it that you want?"
"I want you to stay." Beastboy doesn't know how he keeps a stair face.
Raven's heart flutters, eyes wide, her breath taken, and all she does it nod slowly never letting her eyes leave his.
"I'm sorry I was in your room without your permission."
"I told you that doesn't matter."
Raven is now lost.
"I want you to relax here Raven. I think spending time is fun." if that last exchange is anything to go by.
Her emotions all scream in joy. Expect Rage but she was just smiling.
"Why?"
Oh god, the big questions. Beastboy steel himself again but stop he just accepted the fact that she might not feel for him like he does. Might be weird for a bit but everything will go back to normal. It only seems bad for a short while, not the same but still friends.
He took a deep breath. 'It's okay man this needs to be said'
"Listen, I've been thinking about you a lot. You're so great so wonderful, such a beautiful person that it is a shame you can't see it."
Beastboy's closet door flew open. His head turned like lightning to see what just happened, He had a little chuckle. And like a sly fox, he turned his head, giving the girl a look that was burned into her mind.
All she heard from her emotion was he was so suave. She knew something in her room was tossed around but didn't care.
"I think I may have, no I know I fell for you."
The light pop. He wanted to stop but she looked so cute he wanted to keep talking so she'll stay.
Raven was a little tense, her hand was held on her lap, and sat with her back stairs up. Her chest was a little out and her face was slightly pink. Eyes wide as she looked at him. Lips slightly apart, he had her full undivided attention.
"I know you never thought of the reason why I always bug you but that's because I was curious about you at first. I didn't know what you like or much about you back then so I did things to get your attention. I want to know your favorite color, music, games, anything. I would do a thing to make me look cool around you. I used to think it was love at first sight but that was a romantic lie I told myself."
Her books fell on the floor. This just made him smile even more.
Love was screaming. She wasn't the only one.
"I fell for you over time, I kept an eye out for you. I would always stop and look around to see if you were there. God everything about you is beautiful, you're a wonder to my eyes. Your eyes, lips, mind, body, hair, voice, and spirit. I know in my whole life I would never meet someone like you. I was charmed at some point by you, not sure when but I was. By everything about you. It took a while but I love everything about you. Your magic was awesome, able to do anything. Your attitude was so cool, You like books."
She gave him a look.
"Look Rita used to read to me all the time, I really like them. But I wasn't good at it when I joined the team so I read comic books instead to help me get better. Turns out they are really good."
He hears this comic book fall again. He looks at her as her eyes are aimed at the floor. 'Did she do that on purpose?'
She wanted to say something but she was still, she couldn't do much with her power and was becoming way too unstable.
"You're perfect, you know that."
Raven's Heart skipped; she didn't even hear it in her ears.
"That week and a half with your emotions were the best days I ever had with anyone. I love seeing all of them because they are all of you. And every part of you is amazing. Nevermore is the coolest place on earth. I can't pick what day I like the most because all of them, all of you. Is special to me. You are complex but that's because you are the most interesting girl any guy can fall for. And that is the funny thing. You are all those things you've done so much and have been through so much that you don't have any time to see how incredible you are."
He took the air out of her. She felt like he was sitting on air, as his words were a spell making her feel so relaxed. The weight she felt earlier was gone.
"You try so hard not just for the team but for the whole world. I know how kind you are, you are too selfless. Honestly, I know you hate the fact you're a demon but I considered myself blessed you have gotten the chance to meet you let alone be your friend. I know that I'm a screw-up and a joker but sometimes I feel like getting to know you are the most worthwhile thing I've ever done.
Tears began to form in her eyes. She wants to tell him but all she can't do is struggle to keep it together. Staying seated she never felt so happy and good.
"You're so wise and keep you cool during battle. You rarely lose your cool and when you eat waffles you sometimes do a cute little bounce in your chair. I can't help but think you are the most beautiful creature in all the world. You really know how to charm me, might even have put a spell on me. And I'm glad you did."
His smile, eyes, the way he tilted his head and held his hands. The small breeze enters the room. She wanted to hold him but couldn't because he gave her what she wanted. She finally felt his emotion. It was not a crack, he wasn't trying to hide, no it was a wave washing over her. Gentle warm, kind, and sweet affection she felt. Raven could get lost in this feeling alone. But there was more, she felt his Lust, fear, Rage, the deep green. These emotions made her feel protected, watch over. She finally understands he always looks out for her. From a distance, it wasn't some dark infatuation with her, it was a true sense of Love. He respected her, he cared for her, he just admired her. He loved her.
Her heartfelt shortness of breath, a single tear escaped her eyes.
Beastboy looks around expecting With her something to be thrown but nothing. He looks Raven in the eyes and before she can say something else. She warps away. He guessed it was back to her room.
No surprises Beastboy began to clean AGAIN but knowing a little more about her emotion he knew she had a lot of work in Nevermore.
Minutes later Beastboy heard a loud boom. Rushing to Raven's room he saw her door was blown out into the wall across it and her room was pretty much hit by a storm.
"Ah, Raven." He was seeing the girl kneel on the floor. He can hear Cy and Robin coming with Starfire yelling Raven's name.
"Beastboy please give me a little bit of space." She never looks up, only stays with her eyes closed and head down.
"I… I understand Rae." She smiles at that nickname. Also even jump. But he didn't see that.
"RAVEN are you okay?" Starfire flew in the room, horror in her eyes. She went right next to Raven and placed a hand on her back.
"Star is tired."
"Rae what's wrong.?" Looking at the room Cy noticed all the damage. "Damn look like a bomb went off.
"Raven what happens." Robin looks at Beastboy but their eyes never meet. "Does this have to do with your new powers?"
"...Yes"
"Ok then I'm taking her to the med bay Beastboy help me, Go ahead and get the room ready Rob to go with her.." Everybody was already on the move.
"No Beastboy." all eyes were on Raven again. "Can you make me some of that tea I like? My favorite, please."
He smiled at her. "Ok Rob goes with Cy, and Star we see you there."
Everything was silent that day. Star tried to ask Beastboy for any clues but he only said he didn't know he was in his room. Once Star gave Raven her food she fell asleep. Beast Boy did not enter; he wouldn't know how to react. Cyborg has been looking at the security camera to make sure no intruders were the case. All her vitals are normal, healthy even. Cyborg couldn't find anything wrong with her, all he can assume is that her power is the cause of it.
Beastboy didn't sleep at all, staying up late simply looking at the candle.
Beastboy was scared, tense, anxious, and jittery. His hair is standing up. He couldn't help but feel responsible. He knows he is responsible. He kept asking himself why he had to say something. Why couldn't he let her leave? Why was she in his room? The events play over and over again. In his head.
'Maybe it was my words or the way I said it, which may be because it was in my room. She was focused on her studies. I shouldn't have done anything, or did I say it right. Oh god, what have I done?'
Yet he can't help but to feel like this was unavoidable, he knew he would have told her sometime in the future maybe this was the wait it was always going to play out. Maybe she would never be ready for someone more than just a friend. Maybe she can't. He knows that he has so much to deal with her emotions and powers.
He went to the gym. Feeling anger in his actions yet he is glad things will change now for better or worse. The silver lining was that he took a step forward.
Raven has been sleeping for a few days now and everyone has been waiting for her to return. Rob has been training like a normal having Star next to him all the time. Cy was pretty busy fixing Raven's room. He couldn't do much about the magic item so simply left them on her bed. Robin has been focused on the radars he wants answers but more than that he wants to know if Raven would be Ok.
Starfire has been with Raven for the most part. Was reading and having some weird soup. She has been thinking of what could have happened between Beastboy and Raven. She could tell something was up but had no idea what it could have been. Beastboy hasn't been himself, this isn't anything new. Beastboy gets a little sad whenever Raven goes into her healing traces. It doesn't happen often, usually after a huge battle with a villain or two.
Yet she could tell this is different than any of those other times. This is one of those times Starfire wishes she knew how to read Beastboy better. Sure they don't always hang out but she comes to realize she spends all of her time with Robin or Raven. Thinking about it, the boys all hang out most of the time. Raven is either alone or in common with Beastboy or Cyborg while they are playing games. She would like them to quiet down a bit but it is a good white noise when Reading. Lately, she seems to always be there when Beastboy is there.
Out of nowhere, Raven spoke.
"Beast."
"Raven!?"
"Beastboy." Starfire was looking at Raven, she turned and grabbed the pillow snuggled into it, she was smiling. She giggled once more.
"Beastboy."
Starfire was flying and couldn't hold her joy. Yelling to the top of her lungs she was so happy to be able to see this side of Raven. It was so cute.
"AAAAWWWW!"
Raven woke up looking around ready for a fight.
"Raven, I'm so happy you're awake." Gave her a Hug.
"Star? What's going on? Why am I in the medical wind?"
"You don't remember."

"We found you in your room after your powers ruined your room."
Raven remembers everything. The room, the team, and more importantly Beastboy words.
A quick smile appeared on her face.
"Oh, how many days has it been?"
"3 day Raven."
She looks at Starfire. She spends 3 days calming herself nevermore because of the in-balance she felt. She was so busy she didn't notice the time. All he did was talk to her for a few minutes. Those words have a bigger effect than she thought Beastboy.
"Oh Azar Beastboy."
'What must he be thinking. What has he been doing? I need to talk to him. I need to fit this. I had to get to him, I had to tell him.'
"What about Beastboy?" Star asked her if she was right to connect Beastboy with Raven's current state.
"I… I need to see him. I have to go." Raven was about to get up when a handheld her down.
``You can't not, you haven't eaten and you need to regain your strength."
"But Star you don't understand."
"I have some ideas."
Raven stopped her heart rate and began to increase and the machine-made note of this.
"Have you talked to Beastboy?"
"No I have not, but something seems off about him and I believe it has something to do with you. I'm sure he worries that you would like for me to get him.
"No?"
Raven took a deep breath and before she could speak Cyborg was in the room.
"Starfire Raven's heart rate has gone up…" Seeing Raven he broke into a big goofy smile.
"You're awake, are you alright."
"Uh yeah, I just had to be more careful with my powers."
"I hope there is nothing we should be worried about." Cy was looking at her stats. Everything seems alright, tip-top shape. Could get some food in her.
"Oh no, everything is fine."
"Okay, you know the drill Star, can you get me the files?" He put on some gloves and closed the blind. A flash in the eyes, the temperature, listening to her lungs, the works. Raven doesn't care for all of the tests but understands how much Cyborg cares so she doesn't make any fuss. Also, it helps that he knows she hates the exam and speeds up the progress.
"I bet you're hungry, It's been a while since I've wanted something."
"That would be great." She gave Cy a faith smile.
"Okay, I'll have Beastboy make you something."
She blushes at his name. A small smile forms.
"Anything you want."
"Teas and something light."
Cyborg smiled and took out his communicator calling Beastboy about Raven's request. He was at the computer entering Raven's information and looking for anything that could cause concern.
Raven took this chance to ask Star a small Favor.
"Starfire, can you bring me a change of clothes please."
"Of course, what would you like?"
"My uniform."
"But you will not be going on any mission for the time being."
Raven was about to ask why but understood that Robin and the others wouldn't let Raven crime fight after what happened. To add, she doesn't know if she could fight in her current state.
"Oh, right then my pajamas, cloak, and the music box please."
"I'll be happy to." Star excused herself and left.
"Cyborg, can I ask you something?" She calls the metal men."
"Yeah what ups."
"How has Beastboy been?
