It was not even a month ago when Harry and Ginny had made that long and tense drive to the resort, preparing themselves for the act they were about to perform for their family and children. Harry had been excited to see his family, and even though he no longer believed in love, or marriage, he could not wait to see Albus and Scorpius get married.

He was dreading having to face Draco though, and for him to become part of the family. Harry can't help but smile to himself, thinking back to it now. Because he had convinced himself that he could never like this man, and that he was only going to give him a chance and try to become his friend for their sons' sake. He can't even truly remember when his feelings had changed though - when it had turned into this exactly. Perhaps it was when he had seen Draco that afternoon, playing with Albus and Scorpius' pup. Or perhaps it was when they had started talking to each other, and he had gotten to know the man instead of the boy he used to know. It's impossible to pinpoint the exact moment, yet when he looks back on that week, part of him feels like it was - dare he say it? - love at first sight. Even if he had tried his hardest to deny it was love at all.

There is no denying it anymore though, and as he presses a kiss into Draco's hair and he tightens his grip on him, the butterflies are fluttering around in his stomach. They are curled up on the couch in front of the fire - Albus and Scorpius' pup staring up at them, hoping that if she looks cute enough she will be allowed to join them. Harry had caught Draco letting her lie with him on the couch, but as he wanted to at least try and adhere to the boys' rules for the pup, he tries not to look at her too much. Telling himself he will just give her another treat when he gets up later - as though she doesn't get a treat every five minutes already.

"Are you okay?" he whispers when he feels Draco taking a few deep breaths.

"She's just been moving around a lot today," Draco whispers, a smile forming on his face when Harry immediately places his hand on his bump. "I think it's too soon for you to feel her." He gives it a moment though, but when Harry kisses the back of his neck, before removing his hand from his belly, he turns around in his arms to face him. "I'm sorry."

Harry smiles, and he gently brushes the hair from Draco's eyes. He remembers how it had felt when Ginny was pregnant, and as happy as they had been - as much as they love their children - pregnancy had never brought them closer together. Ginny would still be working, and she would be tired and feeling sick. She was withdrawn, and she hated what it did to her body. Harry had been unable to help her or to do anything to make it more comfortable for her, and so during those months there would be tension between them. It would all be forgotten about once the baby was born, because those babies were their absolute world. But now that Harry is here with Draco, he can't help but think back to those months. He can't help but feel how much of a different experience this is.

Harry pulls Draco as close as he can and he gives him a kiss - unable to express just how happy and content he has been feeling since Draco moved in, but hoping he can show it to him in moments like these.

"I can get used to this." Draco mumbles, a soft smile on his face.

"Me too."

"I know that we're about to have a baby, but…," Draco begins, but when he realises what he has just said, he closes his eyes and he buries his face in Harry's chest. "I am so sorry, Harry. I am about to have a baby, and…"

"We are going to do this together though, aren't we?" Harry whispers, not sure if he is trying to reassure Draco or if he needs reassurance himself.

"Are you sure?" Draco asks, looking up at him to look him in the eyes. Because sure, Harry offered to help him with the baby, and he did decorate a room for her, but they both know what they are discussing here, and it's far bigger than 'helping out', or offering a temporary solution.

"I am." Harry nods, nervous fluttering in the pit of his stomach that won't settle, not even when Draco leans up to kiss him.

Draco feels like this is all too good to be true, especially with his history, but he can tell that Harry means it when he says that this is what he wants. He's still not convinced that Harry is not just being impulsive, and that he won't change his mind months, or even weeks from now. But he knows that he has to trust that he won't, and that he will still want to stick around when the baby is born and it stops being a fantasy and becomes reality.

"We are about to have a baby, but…?" Harry asks, curious as to what Draco was going to say.

"But I have always wanted to have a dog," Draco admits, feeling silly now after the moment they have just shared.

"We could keep this one," Harry teases, squeezing him tight to let him know that it's okay.

"Scorp would kill me."

"Al too, he is obsessed with that dog." Harry laughs, "but maybe we can get one of our own… once you have settled in a bit more."

"I'd love that, but with a baby, and having to find work again…," Draco sighs, the smile leaving his face when he realises that even though he has a place to live now, his problems are still far from over.

"Or…"

"Or what?"

"Or you could stay at home once she is born," Harry suggests, having thought about this before, but not actually having mentioned it yet. "You're a baker, so maybe you could sell baked goods from home."

"I am not that good at baking, Harry," Draco laughs. "Who would want to buy anything from me, anyway?"

"I would. I loved those muffins you made the other day. You could make them here in the kitchen, and I could help you sell them."

"Yeah, right," Draco scoffs, laughing off the idea but secretly loving the thought of getting to spend his days at home with their little girl. "Maybe you could help me bake? When you're not writing, anyway."

"I know nothing about baking!" Harry laughs, and even though the idea might never come to fruition, he can tell that Draco is starting to get excited about it. That even though they still have a long road ahead of them, it is nice to fantasise about the future. About their lives together.

"Maybe if it's a success, we can turn the garage into a little shop, and we can…"
