~With Rose~
Getting closer to the group, I noticed there was an opening between Haruhi and Kyoya. Quietly sliding into the open space, I saw that Kyoya was writing something in his book. *Wonder what's that about* then I turned my attention to the Twins being chased by Tamaki. I couldn't help but smile at the three strange boys.
Chuckling softly at them *Wow..apparently, this place is never dull around here with these three* hoping they didn't hear me. Feeling eyes on me, I turned to see Haruhi's brown eyes stare into mine. We stood for a minute or two, then I nodded towards the door, which she returned and went to get her bag. Moving to do the same and return to the entrance to see, Haruhi got her bag and changed.
Haruhi led the way out with me following. Once at the door, I waved "Bye guys!" then ran to catch up with Haruhi. Jogging quickly, I caught up, matching her steps as we made our way down the stairs together.
~Down by the Fountain~
Reaching this extravagant fountain, I sat on the edge as I dropped my bag and looked up to the sky. Another thud at my side redirected my head to see Haruhi facing me with a blank face. "Okay…explain," waiting for my story with crossed arms.
"Alright. So the best place to start is at the beginning" closing my eyes, I took a deep breath before I launched into my tale to my dear friend.
~With the Host Club~
Tamaki and the Twins were still obliviously chasing one another until a voice interrupted them from the cat and mice chase…well, more of a lion and fox chase. Rose's voice was clear as she waved. "Bye, guys!" then ran through the open doorway.
The twins made their way over to Kyoya, leaning on one another while looking around. "Where is Haruhi?" Kaoru spoke up.
Tamaki froze then began looking around the music room frantically, hoping to see his lovely daughter appear. "It seems Miss Rose and Haruhi took off," Kyoya answered, finishing writing in his notebook and heading to the door.
Hunny jumped on Takashi's shoulders. "Yeah, but they both were wearing somber expressions…I hope everything is okay" as Takashi followed Kyoya out of the room.
The twins glanced at one another before trailing behind them, leaving Tamaki in the dust. Tamaki chased after, "Get back here, you hooligans, and leave my daughters alone!" trying to catch the fox twins again.
~Down by the Fountain~
The members ducked behind a rather large bush as they watched Haruhi and Rose sitting on the edge of the fountain. They all got comfortable listening in on their conversation eagerly. While trying not to be seen by them in fear of Haruhi's wraith…well, Tamaki is more than anyone else.
Haruhi gave Rose a blank look. "Okay…explain" as she crossed her arms, waiting on Rose's response. Rose closed her eyes, nodded, then took a deep breath. "Alright, so best to start at the beginning" as the tale began.
~With Rose~
"After we left about five years ago, dad's dream just kick-started with the help of one of his old friends from back in the day. Which resulted in him hitting it big," giving hand gestures as I explained the situation. "An mom would have stopped working, but you know her, she likes being a nurse," rolling my eyes, then glancing at her face to see no reaction.
Taking another breath, "So Brother decided to come here with me to expand the company while I finish up school. Honestly, I didn't even know you went here, Haruhi…if I did, I would have been more thrilled at the thought. Plus, it would have been great to know at least one person" finishing up the short version of events.
Haruhi nodded with closed eyes. "You didn't want to come here, so why did you agree to? You could have gone anywhere…" then looked at me without a smile. The side of my lips tugged up a bit before looking to the clouds.
"Honestly, my parents wanted me to come here because of it being an excellent school. Now I agreed to go only if I could enter by passing the exam and not because of their money." Crossing my arms, "I only wanted to get in from my knowledge, not money.." before I looked towards her happily.
Haruhi stared at me for a while till a light smile reached her face. "Glad to see you have not changed into a spoiled rich kid Rose" as her eyes twinkled happily. Laughing at the comment, "Really…me a spoiled rich kid? Come on, Haruhi, I believe that will be quite hard to accomplish with my stubbornness," grinning at her.
Haruhi rolled her eyes and got up, gathering her bag. "Uh-huh, right…weirdo. Anyway, I have to get going. I need to cook dinner tonight, alright" as she went to leave, I jumped up, scooping my items. Moving next to her, "Sounds strangely familiar there…how has dad been?" as we walked together off-campus.
"He has been well…himself" she gave me a knowing look causing me to laugh. Exiting the gate, "Aww, I miss him and his wackiness," walked until we got to the spot where we split off into opposite directions. Looking at her, "Hey, since we talked, does this mean you forgive me" with puppy dog eyes.
Haruhi turned away from me. "See you tomorrow" as she walked off. Frowning at that, "Hey! I'm taking that as a yes!" Yelling as her departing figure with a big grin before heading home.
