~With Rose~
Running through the corridor, I finally made it outside *Damn it! I took too long with them. I'll never hear the end of this from that witch* with my feet touching the sidewalk, I sprinted full force down the street. Weaving through the bustling people of the city *If this keeps up, I definitely will not make it in time*, grinding my teeth as I tried to keep calm.
"Oh, right!" swinging my bag in front of me, I dug around until I pulled out my phone. Quickly I hit the right speed dial button *Pick up, pick up…come on* still going full force running and weaving. Just when I was about to try again, a soothing voice reached my ears. "Hello Miss Rose," grinning at the voice, "James! Thank god you picked up, look I need a favor if you are not too busy," skidding to a halt at the street corner as the light changed to green for the cars.
Frowning *Oh come on!* bouncing my leg as I stared down the light "Well, I was actually on the way to your home with Mr. Harry and Miss Lily's things for their night with you, but…."James started as the light changed for me to go. Sprinting once more, "Oh really?! That's great just uh how far are you away from Mrs. Vander…Ahh, Fuck!" as I tripped over my own two feet.
Tumbling forward onto my knees *Damn you, gravity! Why must you betray me…* as a worried tone reached my ears, "Miss Rose! Are you alright?" shouted from my phone speaker as it lay next to me. Picking it up, "Yeah, James, I'm fine. Just fell, that's all…" rubbing my knees gingerly.
James let out a sigh. "How did you do it this time?" as I stand slowly, using my free hand to softly brush off andy dirt on me. "Uhh, just my own two feet, but forget about that. For now, can you pick them up for me, James? Changing the topic as I began moving again, just a bit slower.
"Yes, I can, Miss Rose, but please be more careful. You know how the children get when you are hurt" James's stern voice hit me *Right, they are both little worry warts* sighing with a nod "I know. Thanks James, I owe you one. I'll meet you at my house and will take it slow now".
On the other side of the line, a chuckle came through, "I'm just doing my job. We will see you soon, please be safe, Miss" then the line went dead. Looking at the phone, smiling *Thanks, James* then focused on my knees to notice that there are just some bad scraps but no blood. "Well, at least that's good, nothing too serious" as I moved along towards home.
~Fast Forward~
Turning down my street, I see Harry and Lily heading towards my front door while James was taking their belongings out of the car. Quickening my pace, "Hey! You ready to have some fun?" grinning as they spun around to my voice. Harry and Lily's faces lit up while James gave me a small smile. Walking over to James, I picked up the kid's things from the sidewalk as James shut the trunk's lid.
"Hey, I didn't keep you waiting for long, did I?" James shook his head. "No, we only just arrived. Their lesson had run a bit longer than usual for today," frowning at this information. "Of course! The day that she runs late, I'm the one freaking out about whether she was going to be done right on time or, even worse, early!" letting a groan escapes my lips.
James pats my shoulder with a chuckle before heading to the driver's door. "Have fun, guys! I'll be back around ten tomorrow," then climbed into the car and drove off. Carrying the kid's bag to the door, "Ready to party?!" smiling at them, who nodded excitedly as I moved to unlock the door, to let loose chaos.
Speeding out was two puppies "Ludwig! Bella!" as they ran to a child each. At the same time, my anti-social cat peeked their head around the corner and meowed, "Glad to see you too, Starlight. Want to join in too?" gesturing to the kids and dogs for her to look at them, then turned around, leaving us. "Well, love you too…" grumbling at the cat as Lily walked past with Bella in her arms as Harry followed with Ludwig trailing after.
I followed in step, shut the door behind me, and then set their bags down in the living room. Looking around, Harry was lounging in a chair while Lily sprawled out on the couch with no signs of the animals. "So I figured we could have a camp out here tonight. Make a big makeshift tent with a movie marathon. How does that sound?" clapping my hands together.
"Sounds cool, but what are we going to eat? I'm a little bit hungry," Harry spoke up as Lily took off from her spot. *Probably to find some blankets* moving towards the other side of the couch, I began to push it up against the wall. "Well, that all depends on what you all want. I could either make something, or we can do take out," giving one final push.
"I got the blankets," a muffled voice appeared in the doorway.
Glancing over, "Haha…I can see, now where is my Lily?" Towards the pile of blankets as they fell to the ground revealing a messy Lily with giggles, "I'm right here! I want some pizza!" throwing her hands up in the air.
Looking to her lazy brother, "That alright with you, bro?" as he sat in the chair. "Yeah, sounds good" He slid from his place to go and grabbed some blankets to begin to lay a few about for soft bedding. "Alright! Let's get started. I'll go grab some extra chairs, rope, and clips" I left to grab the supplies.
