Chapter 1
Kirby Comes to Remnant
Now Playing… Kirby and the Mysterious Vortex (Kirby and the Forgotten Land)
One bright day on Planet Popstar, Kirby was walking through Green Greens. He was going to Bandana Dee's house in order to eat some cake with him. He also invited Meta Knight and King Dedede, and the King was going to bring some tea! Yes, today was going to be a splendid day; it had his two favorite things! Food and Friends.
As he was walking, Kirby bumped into his warp star, and the star offered to give him a ride to Bandana Dee's house. Kirby happily nodded, and jumped onto his oldest friend. Together, the two flew into a forest.
Unfortunately for the both of them, a storm was brewing. Quite literally.
Kirby felt like he was being sucked in by something. Looking up at the sky, a ball of electricity began charging up, pulling in clouds, and eventually turned into a star-shaped portal. Thunder cracked and the wind howled. Kirby stared in amazement as the vortex, and multiple others like it, started sucking in blocks, trees, pushes, and Waddle Dees indiscriminately.
Kirby's eyes went cartoonishly wide, and once he realized the gravity of the situation he urged his warp star backwards in order to escape the vortex's clutches.
He flew past panicking Waddle Dees, twisting and weaving around foliage. He passed by an orange butterfly that looked as though it wasn't struggling against the wind. As he flew, Kirby saw Bandana Dee stab his spear into the dirt, only to get sucked in regardless. Distracted, Kirby flew directly into a tree branch, knocking him off the Warp Star. Powerless to do anything, Kirby flailed aimlessly around as the vortex pulled him ever closer and closer.
The sudden sense of deja vu didn't help him in that regard.
Kirby and the Mysterious Vortex - End

When Kirby woke up, he was in a place he's never seen before. It was the middle of the night, and he was surrounded by tall buildings as far as the eye could see. Some shops were there, but he couldn't see into the windows because of his short size.
Kirby walked around aimlessly, looking for the tallest building so he could get an idea of where he was. When he spotted one that was tall enough, Kirby whined when he realized how far away it was. On foot, it would take forever to get there. The pink puffball slouched and started his long trek to the skyscraper (can balls slouch?). Kirby's stomach growled.
This was going to be a long walk…
*BOOM!*
Kirby jumped in surprise. Where did that sound come from? He could see smoke coming from a nearby building. He ran as fast as his tiny feet could carry him, running through a darkly lit residential area.
Kirby reached a little shop called "From Dust to Dawn." In front of the shattered window, a girl with a giant scythe stood, as a group of men in black suits that basically screamed "BAD GUY" moved to surround her.
Now Playing… Bouncing Boss Battle (Kirby Triple Deluxe)
Thinking on his feet Kirby leapt and kicked the first goon in the face, much to the surprise of everybody, and knocked him out cold. He landed and put up his hands, an angry look on his face. The scythe girl squealed. "AWW! You're so cute!" Meanwhile, the ringleader of the goons sighed. He turned to his men. "What are you waiting for, a cookie? Get them, both of them!"
The scythe girl locked eyes with Kirby, who reached up to her knees. "You think you can help me with these guys?" Kirby smiled and jumped. Scythe girl registered the urge to squeal at how damn cute he was. "I guess that's a yes!"
The first goon ran up to Kirby and swung his blade downwards, but Kirby quickly jumped and kicked him in the face, making him drop his weapon. Now disarmed, Kirby grabbed his blade and swung, knocking the goon into the side of a building with the flat of the sword. Kirby then threw the sword, the hilt smashing into a second goon in between the eyes and breaking his shades.
The last goon readied his machine gun and started firing at Kirby. Without any other options, Kirby opened his mouth and began inhaling the bullets. In a panic, the goon started firing even more, until his own gun fell into the black hole that was Kirby's stomach. With a large gulp, Kirby swallowed the weapon.
After dealing with goons on her end, Ruby was temporarily blinded by a bright light. When the light subsided, Kirby landed, now wearing a pink pith helmet with a star-shaped headlight in front. In his hand, the pink puffball wielded a small pink blunderbuss with a gold muzzle.
And Ruby thought he couldn't get any cuter.
Ranger Kirby aimed his blunderbuss at the goon, and fired a star shaped bullet at his head. With a loud pop, the goon fell to the ground, unconscious.
"You were with every cent, truly you were," Roman muttered. He looked at the pink puffball. To be honest, it looked like it was trying way too hard to be threatening. Still, it took down four of Junior's men on its own, and it looked like it couldn't be any more than a day old.
"Well, Red, Pink. I think we can all say this has been an eventful evening," Roman said, dropping his cigar and crushing it under his cane. "And, as much as I'd love to stick around, I'm afraid this is where we part ways." He pointed his Melodic Cudgel at the two shades of red, and fired. To both his and Ruby's surprise, Kirby jumped up and swallowed the flare, and spat it back at Roman's feet.
The blast still had its intended effect. Using the dust cloud, Roman made his escape, clambering towards the fire escape of a nearby apartment building.
Kirby was the first to notice Roman's slip, and chased after him, firing star pellets at the criminal. One bullet was inches away from Roman's hand as he grabbed the stairs. "What the heck?!" He muttered, as another star pellet popped right next to his eye. How accurate is that thing? Blunderbusses aren't even supposed to be accurate from a distance!
Kirby jumped and took in a big breath of air, inflating and floating to the top of the building where Roman was. Ruby, using her scythe, launched herself and landed next to Kirby. Both heroes, one an eldritch god and the other a scythe-wielding teenager, aimed their weapons and the criminal mastermind.
"Persistent…" Roman muttered.
The wind started blowing violently, and a Bullhead emerged, opening its doors for Roman to enter. Kirby was the first to come out of his stupor, and began firing charged shots at the wings. The metal dented and cracked under force of the star pellets. Roman cursued. He grabbed a Fire Crystal from his pocket and threw it.
"End of the line, Red and Pink!" He fired at the crystal. Kirby, sensing the power from the crystal, dropped his Ranger Copy Ability, and quickly inhaled both the crystal and Roman's flare. "What the hell?" Roman muttered.
To Ruby's horror, Kirby went ablaze. "No!" That horror quickly subsided when flames died down. Kirby now wore a gold, twisting tiara with a blue circular gem, and a mane of fire on his head.
Determined, Fire Kirby started blowing fireballs at the bullhead. At the same time, a huntress with glasses, stylized cape, and a wielding crop dropped down from the sky. She swung her arm, and bolts of purple energy flew, merging with Fire Kirby's flames and creating larger explosions.

Inside the ship, Roman reached the cockpit, where a young woman in a red dress was struggling to keep the aircraft afloat. "We've got a huntress! And a pink–a-alien thing, I guess!"

The woman scowled, and moved to the back of the aircraft. The huntress narrowed her eyes, and Kirby put his stubs up, ready for a fight. The woman looked at both of them with cold, uncaring eyes. She opened her fist, and fire began blazing free.
Dark Queen's Pawn
Cinder Fall
Just as the aircraft moved to flee, the Huntress swung her riding crop upwards, creating storm clouds over the ship. Spears of ice rained down on the ship, piercing the armor and nearly striking Roman in the head. Cinder threw her arms forward, and blasted fire balls at her. Kirby blew his own flames, striking Cinder's out of the air.
Cinder grit her teeth, and threw her arms downwards. The cinders from the balls blazed back to life, and shot downwards. The Huntress put up a shield of energy to defend herself, while Kirby took direct hits, which knocked him around, and almost off the building. Ruby quickly grabbed him by the foot as he passed by, and threw him back into the fight.
Using the momentum from Ruby's throw, Kirby ignited, turning into a high speed fireball and crashing into the side of the bullhead. Uncurling himself in front of Cinder, he blew fireballs directly at her, Cinder answering with her own bolts of fire. Kirby lit himself up again, and launched himself at Cinder, crashing into her chest and knocking her into the back of the airship. He was about to release another fireball, but Cinder moved faster, launching a bolt of fire and landing a direct hit on Kirby. As he was launched backwards, Kirby blew a pillar of fire, melting part of the bullhead's armor.
Cinder threw fire at the huntress, who conjured another shield. As they lay on the ground, Cinder ignited the cinders, creating a pillar of fire that the huntress backflipped to avoid. Unfortunately for Kirby, he was struck once again, knocking him into the sky. Before the flames could disappear, Kirby dropped the Fire Copy Ability, and started inhaling the giant flames. The power of his vortex drew the bullhead in closer.
Kirby inflated to more than three times his size, and inhaled the fire with a large gulp. Kirby violently ignited, the pillar of fire reaching into the upper atmosphere of Remnant. Once the fire died, Kirby was wearing a headband with a glowing star, and four red gems curved to look like flames. The flames on Kirby's head were even hotter than before, turning into white and blue wisps at the very tip of the flames.
Monster Flame Kirby shouted, and out of nowhere a large snake-like dragon burst from the ground, and roared proudly. It lunged at the bullhead. Panicking, Roman swerved, a maneuver that proved to be utterly useless. The dragon wrapped its long body around the airship, and started crushing it, the metal creaking. Cinder tried to retaliate, but the flames she sent were absorbed by the dragon.
Ruby stood still, completely shocked. Even the huntress stood with her mouth wide. Not only was her new friend absolutely adorable, it stupidly powerful. It was controlling a giant dragon! Made out of FIRE! "THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" She shouted.
Ruby's shout snapped Glynda out of her shock, and she went on the attack once more. Using her semblance, the pieces of rubble around began glowing purple, and created a large spear. Without Cinder's flames to stop her, she drove the spear into exposed wings, completely shattering it. The bullhead lurched, but Monster Flame kept the aircraft steady as it kept applying more and more pressure.
Cinder, having had enough, thrust her arms outwards, breaking the spear, and releasing the bullhead from the Monster Flame's clutches. "Roman, we're leaving!"
"Gee, I wonder why!?" The bullhead stuttered and groaned, but was still capable of moving, somehow. But, so was the Monster Flame. As the door to the bullhead closed, the flame dragon charged and barrelled right through the flying machine, leaving a large hole in the middle of the bullhead's half melted body.
Prayer Song to God - Fade Out
"I guess I should tell Neo I'll be late for dinner…" Roman muttered.
The bullhead flew forward a few more meters, until it began to drop like a rock. Before it could crash into the ground, the entire ship exploded in a blaze of fiery glory. Roman and Cinder were blown away, being launched miles away, in similar fashion to Team Rocket
"DAMN YOU PIIIIIIIIIINK!" Roman shouts as he disappears with a twinkle in the night sky.
At last, the power of Monster Flame died out. The dragon flickered away, and the ornaments on Kirby's head disappeared in flash.
Now Playing… Victory Dance (Kirby and the Forgotten Land)
And then Kirby started dancing. He did two cartwheels, spun on his head (body?), and then moonwalked while dabbing. He took a couple steps towards them, stood on one foot, and then backflipped. Finally, he jumped up, reaching one arm upwards as if waiting for a hi-five.
Glynda and Ruby stared as Kirby casually defied the laws of physics by staying completely still in midair. Not one to leave people hanging, Ruby gave him one. Kirby turned to Glynda. She did leave him hanging, and Kirby disappointingly floated back to the ground.

Now Playing… The Base (Sonic Adventure 2)
Kirby didn't have much to do. The nice lady that rained icy hell on the funny looking ship gave him some crayon and paper, and he drew a picture with him and the scythe girl holding hands. Although, "drawing" was a bit of an understatement, as scythe girl was a crudely drawn stick figure. His various self portraits weren't much better.
He heard the door open, and Kirby went from his place on the floor to the surface of the table. A man with disheveled white hair appeared, carrying a plate of cookies and a cup of coffee. "Good afternoon, strange creature," He politely said, setting the plate down.
Kirby, in all his Kirby glory, said "Poyo!" while waving his hand. His attention turned the plate. Kirby opened his mouth and inhaled, consuming the cookies, plate, and coffee that was still in the man's hand. With a satisfied gulp, Kirby sat down, waiting for the man to dump exposition onto him. Kirby wondered what he was going to fight this weekend.
The man stared at his hand, and then sighed. "My name is Ozpin. I am a professor and Headmaster of Beacon Academy. Tell me, do you know what Beacon Academy is?" Kirby shook his head with a smile on his face.
"I see. What about, Haven Academy, or perhaps Shade Academy? Do you know what those are?" Again, Kirby shook his head, the smile never leaving.
Ozpin nodded. "Alright then. What about the Four Kingdom of Remnant, Vale, Vacuo, Atlas or Mistral? Or perhaps you know the monsters known as Grimm? Do you know what those are?" Kirby shook his head. He didn't know what those were. He guessed that those were the eldritch gods he had to slay this weekend.
Despite answering honestly, Ozpin looked troubled. "I see. What about… Salem? Do you know what she is?" The temperature in the room dropped ten degrees, but Kirby's adorable smile still shined through. He shook his head again.
Ozpin nodded. "I see." He looked at Kirby with intense scrutiny, but eyes softened slightly. "It just came to my attention that you've never introduced yourself. Strange creature, do you have a name?"
This time, Kirby nodded. He jumped on his feet, saying "Kirby! Kirby!" in a childish voice. "Despite being a fearsome warrior, he has the mentality of a child," Ozpin muttered.
"I see. Kirby, where do you come from?" he asked. Instinctively, he moved his hand up as if to drink from his mug, but then he remembered what happened to it. Kirby nodded once more. He jumped down from the table, and moved to his various drawings. Kirby picked one up, and showed it to Ozpin. It was a crudely drawn star with rings floating around, with a crescent moon orbiting it.
"I see. This is Planet Popstar, correct?" Kirby nodded, happily saying "Poyo!" He grabbed another picture, and handed it to Ozpin. This time, it was blue blood with an angry face and no mouth, and tan blob with some kind blue bandana, and a light blue blob with a yellow beak. "These are your friends, are they not?"
Kirby nodded. He floated up to Ozpin, pointing at the drawing and then to the Headmaster. "Are you asking me if I've seen any of your friends?" Kirby nodded. From what he could tell, Remnant's technology was primitive. There was no way he would've known about Popstar unless he met one of his friends. Or he was secretly an omniscient god that wanted to destroy the multiverse.
"As a matter of fact, I have. The masked warrior that calls himself 'Meta Knight' landed in my forest about an hour or so ago" At the mention of his friend's name, Kirby started cheering. He almost ran out of the room, but Professor Ozpin stood in his way, towering above the pink puffball.
"Before I take you to your friend, there is something I wish to discuss with you." Ozpin pointed to the table. With an angry huff, Kirby jumped back, and tried crossing his arms. "Meta Knight has told me of your endeavors in Popstars, of how you've slayed gods, immortal life forms, and even entire planets. He even hinted that you may be a god yourself. A god of… friendship.
"I want to ask for your assistance. As of right now, Remnant is in a time of peace. However, this peace will not last. Dark times are brewing, and I fear that I may be powerless to stop it. Kirby, will you help us defend this planet?" Ozpin asked, well aware how absurd this situation was.
Kirby, being the wholesome soul that he is, agreed almost instantly. It never hurts to help out a friend!
