The interior of the house was actually pretty nice. The living room was rather small, but it was nicely decorated. The couches weren't very comfortable. Kaito seemed upset that he was going to be forced to sleep on the stiff furniture.
The kitchen was small, but cozy. There was a good amount of room for one or two people in it, and then a counter with several stools that served as a dining table. The rest of the downstairs was fairly small, with a tiny closet and a smaller mudroom with a couple benches and coat hooks. There was also a study with an old computer that looked like it crawled out of 2001.
Upstairs were the three bedrooms and closet. Rin pointed out the rooms that they would be sharing.
Tei and Teto's room wasn't very large, but it had a balcony. Miku and Luka's room was slightly larger, with a tiny bathroom attached. The room that would have belonged to Kaito, Len, and Oliver before Kaito was kicked onto the couch was about the same size as Tei and Teto's room, with only two twin sized beds.
"Hey!" Kaito shouted. "Why are there only two beds?"
"Seeing as you're sleeping on the couch, I really don't think it matters." Rin replied.
"But you originally had me in this room! One of us would've had to sleep on the floor!"
"That would've been you." Len said, stepping into the room and sitting on one of the beds. "This one's mine."
"Why do you get the one with the window?" Oliver complained.
"Because I actually have fans."
"BUUURN!" Miku and Rin screamed.
"At least I'm not voiced by a girl." Oliver replied, sitting on the other bed.
"OOOOH SNAP!"
"That's really obnoxious." Luka sighed, crossing her arms. "Why don't we all sleep for a while? We've been up all night."
Everyone murmured their agreement, heading off to their rooms, when there was a knock on the door
"Oh yeah! I asked the officer to drop our stuff off here!" Rin said, rushing downstairs and opening the door. After a few minutes, she returned with multiple suitcases. "Go get your stuff, guys!"
After everyone had retrieved their clothing, they retired to their rooms. Well, Rin walked into the closet.
"Are you seriously going to sleep in the closet?" Luka asked.
"Yes." And with that, Rin slammed the door, locking it behind her. Luka sighed, too tired to argue, and trudged into her shared room.
Miku had already claimed t the bathroom to change, so Luka sat down on the other bed, peeling off her soaked nightgown and changing into her spare PJs. She turned off the lights and slipped under the covers, immediately drifting off to sleep.
The next morning, Teto cooked breakfast while everyone else held a meeting in the living room.
"We need money." Rin declared. "So, we're all going to get jobs."
"What?!"
"You heard me. Relax, it's just temporary." Rin held out a newspaper. "So I found some part time jobs you guys can take."
Everyone looked over the newspaper. Luka turned to Rin. "What about you?"
"Well, me and Len are only fourteen, so we can't really get a real job, and neither can Oliver. But I figure we can make a lemonade stand or a car wash and make some money."
Luka shrugged. "As long as you're trying, I suppose."
It did not go according to plan.
Miku's job started at 12 am on the dot in some kid's pizza place. She wasn't sure what made her choose this job, but she figured it seemed the easiest. Sure, the pay was lousy, but all she had to do was sit there for six hours and watch some robots, or animatronics, as the manager had called them.
Just as she was getting comfortable in the swivel chair, the phone rang. She picked it up. "Hello?"
"Uh, hello? Hello hello? Um, I wanted to record a message for you, to help you get settled in on your first night…"
When Miku returned home the following morning, she grabbed Luka by the shoulders, looked deep into her eyes, and said one thing.
"I wasn't ready for Freddy."
Kaito's job was at an ice cream parlor. The manager liked him at first. Kaito knew all the flavors, and was friendly towards the customers. That changed when he started eating all the ice cream.
"How the heck did you eat the entire stock?!" The manager screamed, looking in the freezers. "It's all gone!"
"I was hungry." Kaito muttered, licking a soft serve chocolate cone.
"What is wrong with you?! You're fired! Get out!"
Kaito left the parlor with a sad expression and an ice cream cone.
Yay working. I haven't quite figured out what the other's jobs should be, but I have a whole thing planned out for what Rin, Len, and Oliver are gonna do.
Also, I am FNAF fandom trash. I am so sorry for that reference in there.
Thank you to all the reviewers! This is the most reviews I've ever gotten on a story.
Thanks for reading!
