Len glanced over to Rin as they drove along the road. He could barely see her in the dim light from the streetlamps.

"Where are we even going?" Len asked, trying to loosen Tei's grip on his hand.

"Well, we're gonna pick up the others and leave. I found a great place for us to stay." Rin answered, making a sharp turn.

Len winced as Tei's grip tightened on his hand. "And where would that be?"

"Hell." Rin said, clearly annoyed.

"Great. I feel reassured." Len said sarcastically, accepting his fate as Tei scooted closer to him.

"I can't wait to see my sister." Mikuo said happily, playing a game on his phone. "I haven't seen her since last Christmas."

"Don't remind me of last Christmas." Len groaned.

"Sorry."

"We're heeeere!" Rin sang, pulling into the driveway of their rented condo. She jumped out of the road roller and ran up to the front door, practically kicking it open. "PACK YOUR BAGS!" She screamed.

Miku screamed in response to this. Oliver jumped about a mile and dropped his phone. Teto choked on her bread, and Luka sighed.

"What?" Luka asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I broke the road roller out of prison, so we need to skip town." Rin replied, twirling the keys around one finger. "I'm gonna send the landlord his payment and then we're outta here. Pack your bags!"

Everyone just sat there.

"I said..." Rin started slowly. "GET YOUR STUFF TOGETHER IN THE NEXT FIFTEEN MINUTES OR I'M LEAVING YOU BEHIND!"

This made everyone jump up and frantically run for their suitcases.

"THIS MEANS YOU TOO!" Rin shouted to the three people in the road roller.

"The van we're taking is right over there!" Mikuo called back. "Should I get it?"

"Yes! Tei and Len, go pack!"

Ten minutes later, the vocaloids were crammed into a mini van. It was fairly large, but not large enough for nine people. A trailer was attached to the back so they could take the road roller.

"So, Miku!" Mikuo said. "How've you been?"

"Pretty good!" Miku responded, chewing on a leek. "How about you?"

Outside the minivan, Rin and Kaito were having a small conversation. "Kaito, you're the only one here who can drive." Rin said, handing him the keys.

"Are you seriously trusting him to drive?" Luka said sharply, snatching the keys. "I have a license, I'll drive."

"Okay!" Rin said, climbing into the truck.

Luka sat in the driver's seat with Rin next to her to give directions. Kaito was next to them, eating another ice cream. In the second row was Tei and Oliver, with Len stuffed between them. And then in the last row was Mikuo, Miku, and Teto, along with the luggage.

"Rin, where exactly are we going?" Luka asked, backing the minivan carefully out of the driveway.

"It's about three days away." Rin said.

"WHAT?!" Luka shrieked, slamming her foot on the brake and causing everyone to jerk forward in their seats

"Road trip!" Rin shrieked happily, kicking her feet and pumping her fist.

Luka groaned and slammed her head into the steering wheel, making the horn echo through the neighborhood.

"Stop that!" Rin snapped, grabbing Luka's hair and pulling her head back up.

"Ow ow ow!" Luka yelped. "Don't do that!"

"Don't honk the horn so loudly!"

"I don't have control over the volume!"

"Can we get going?!" Len yelled. Rin looked back to see that Tei had scooted even closer to him and Len had scooted away, squishing poor Oliver into the window.

"Yeah, Len's right. A journey of a thousand miles begins by backing out the driveway." Rin said, turning back around.

"I don't think that's how that quote goes." Teto chimed in from the back. "Also, my leg's asleep."

"I have to pee." Whined Kaito.

"We haven't even left the driveway!" Luka cried. "Let's just go."

Luka finished backing out, then turned the minivan around and driving off down the street. This was going to be a long trip.

I'm probably gonna publish a few more chapters before I leave.

(I actually meant to upload this earlier but I forgot. Oops.)
