"Right, so as you can see, the wall caved in here, here, and here." Lenka said, circling several points on the blueprints in a red marker.

"What are all the red Xs?" Luka asked, pointing at one.

"Oh, those are the sections of the house that are completely obliterated." Said Rinto, leaning over his sister.

"Completely-?"

"Oh, it just means that we slapped some scotch tape over it and hoped for the best." Kaiko said, rifling through their freezer. "Hey, have you got any ice cream?"

Luka rolled her eyes and ignored Kaiko. "Okay, so by 'completely obliterated' do you mean that you need new materials, or…?"

"Oh, yeah. We already stopped at Home Depot on the way over." Lenka said, capping her marker. "We have to go super far away to get to a Home Depot now. Somebody destroyed the one close to us with a steamroller, I think."

"Is… Is that so." Luka said, coughing slightly. "How strange."

"Yeah, I know right? Anyways, we can rebuild all of this stuff easily. This wall somehow got cleanly snapped in two, so Kaiko just superglued it back together. Good as new." Lenka pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and pointed to a blank section of the blueprints. "I was thinking we could put in another room here, if you want it. I dunno what you'd use it for, but there's room, and since you're having construction done already…"

Luka considered this for a moment. "Uh… Sure, why not? We could use space for some more guest rooms."

"Okay, so we'll add in a room here." Said Lenka, taking a pencil and sketching the outline of a room onto the paper.

"So it won't be hard to fix?" Luka asked hopefully, eager to have this whole disaster over and done with.

"Nope! Should be done fairly soon. We just gotta get our team on it and buy some materials." Rinto said. "Dunno how much it'll cost you… We'll send you a bill later."

"Okay, sounds good. Anything else you need?"

"Uh…" Lenka and Rinto looked at each other and shrugged. "Nope, don't think so." Said Lenka. "We'll grab our stuff and go start actually working."

"Thank you so much!" Luka said with a smile.

Rinto and Lenka began to fold up their blueprints as Kaiko rejoined the group with an ice cream cone in hand. Luka decided to leave them for a minute to make sure that everyone else was still alive.

"Rin?" Luka called, walking into the livingroom. It was surprisingly empty- as in, all the furniture was gone.

"Rin!" Luka stomped into the room, looking around in shock. Everything was just gone! How did they manage to take out the furniture so quickly?!

"Hey Luka, what's up?" Rin said, casually strolling into the room.

"The furniture! Where is the furniture?!" Luka screamed, pointing at the empty room. "I-I was just in here, what- how did you move the couch?!"

"Woah, Luka, calm down! All I did was set up a yard sale so that we could pay for the damages to our house. I just needed some stuff to sell, so I took out all the stuff in the living room to use." Rin said. "How did you miss that?"

"Wh- Rin, you can't just sell other people's furniture!"

"It's a mansion, they won't even notice!" Rin said. "Besides, we have to pay for our house and the Utau's house. Remember? It burned down after the-"

"That's not important!" Luka cried, cutting her off. "Does- Does Gumi know that you're about to sell every piece of furniture in her living room?!"

"Uh… Maybe? I dunno, I wasn't really thinking about the long-term consequences." Rin said, scratching her head.

"You never do! You've destroyed two houses, not counting the haunted mansion, broken the law on numerous occasions-"

"Okay, I'm gonna have to stop you right there, you were all accomplices in the jailbreak and grand theft auto." Rin said.

Luka buried her face in her hands. "I didn't ask for any of this." She groaned.

"Well, I'm gonna take that as you giving up on the argument and go sell this stuff." Rin said, skipping out of the room.

Rinto, Lenka, and Kaiko walked into the room, Kaiko holding their blueprints.

"Well, we're all packed up, so we'll be on our- hey, wasn't there furniture in here?" Lenka asked, looking around.

"Yes, there was, it's a long story." Luka groaned. "Door's that way. Thanks for coming."

Rinto shrugged and strolled out of the house, Lenka and Kaiko close behind him. As soon as they had left, Mikuo poked his head into the living room.

"Hey, Luka! You aren't upset about the, uh, yardsale, are you?" He asked.

"I quit." Luka said. "I quit. I give up, you're all on your own. I'm gonna go relax by the pool, you all can burn the house down or sell all the furniture or summon a demon or commit another crime, I'm done."

"You- You quit?" Mikuo said in shock.

Rin slid into the room on her socks with a shriek. "Did I just hear that Luka's finally done trying to stop my progress?!"

Luka didn't respond and went upstairs.

"Uh, yeah, she said-" Mikuo started.

"Mikuo, Mikuo, that's not important right now." Rin said. "What's important is that me, you, Aoki, and Namine are gonna go sell all this furniture and then get rich! Then we can pay for the repairs on the houses and then- well, I haven't thought that far ahead, but that doesn't matter! What did Luka say we're allowed to do?"

Mikuo grabbed a pen and some paper and quickly scribbled down a list of what Luka had said she didn't care about them doing and gave it to Rin. "Here, this is what she said we're allowed to do."

"Great, so we can sell all the furniture, no problem. Not so sure that we should burn the house down, though, then we'd have to sell more stuff to pay for this house too. As for the summoning demons and committing crimes... Uh, I dunno, that's probably fine. Let's go tack this on the wall!"

Mikuo and Rin rushed off to hang up their new rules list.

Meanwhile, outside, Len was negotiating the price of the piano with someone who had stopped by their yard sale.

"So… How about five bucks?" The man said.

"Sir," Len said as calmly as he could, "That is an original Steinway and Sons grand piano. It's worth much more than five dollars."

"Okay, yeah, but like- I want it, and I've only got five bucks. How about we make a deal?"

"Oh for- no! You can't have it for five bucks, now leave before I call security!" Len shouted.

"Security? What kind of yard sale has security?"

"TEI!"

Tei poked her head out of the bushes and held up a knife. "Are you bothering Len?" She said, making direct eye contact with the man.

"Uh, nope! I'll be on my way now!" He said, turning around and breaking into a sprint.

"Thanks Tei." Said Len, counting the bills in the box they were using as a cash register.

"LEEEEN!" Rin screeched, jumping off the porch and running towards him. "Look! Luka said we can do all the things on this list!" She said proudly, handing Len a copy of the list.

Len quickly read it over. "Did she really say this? I mean, her giving up and letting us sell the furniture is one thing, but I thought she was against the whole burning down houses thing. And, uh, summoning demons…?"

"Oh, well, we amended that rule." Rin said.

"So no summoning demons?" Len said in relief.

"What? No, of course you can summon demons!"

Len groaned and put his head down on the table.

"You just can't make a deal with one! We're already in enough legal trouble as it is, we don't need the forces of hell coming after us too."

"...Right." Len cleared his throat. "Well, so far we've sold the couch, the tables, the TV, several bricks from the chimney we claimed were from the White House, and the carpet."

"How much is that?" Rin asked, looking into the register.

"Uh, about a thousand dollars." Len said.

"Really? Sweet!" Rin shouted, pumping her fist into the air. "We'll have all the money we need in no time! See, this really is easier!"

Luka sighed as she sat on the steps of the pool. It was so nice to finally be relaxed…

She looked around and crossed her legs. Strange, it was usually just as she was starting to relax that someone would have a near-death experience and she'd have to step in and fix it. Maybe Rin was just… Actually leaving her alone for once.

Although, more likely, Rin was probably one step closer to causing another huge problem. Luka groaned in frustration. She just couldn't relax! She just knew something ridiculous was going to happen, and she was the only one sane enough to prevent it!

Luka stood up, grabbing her towel and drying off her legs. She hadn't even really gotten the opportunity to swim; she was too worried about what Rin was going to do to the house.

"Luka!" Miku shouted, running through the pool gate and jumping in. "C'mon, let's swim!"

"Sorry Miku." Luka sighed, pulling a shirt on over her swimsuit. "I gotta stop Rin."

"What? But I wanted to swim! No one ever swims with me!"

Just then, Gumi ran past Luka and jumped in the pool with a screech.

"There you go, swim with Gumi!" Luka called, jogging back towards the mansion, ready to stop whatever ridiculous thing Rin was doing now.

heeeeyyy guess who finally decided to update

I know I say this every time I update (which is like every six months now), but I'm gonna try to update this more often now that I actually have motivation to write. I love writing this story for you guys! This chapter is a little longer than usual because I haven't updated in so long.

Also, let me know which characters you want to see more of! I'm working with about 19 different characters now, and it's really hard to fit them all in the story!

Thank you to the reviewers, and thank you for reading!
