Dean woke up to wetness on his shoulder. "What the fuck?" He mumbled and realized Cas was drooling on his shoulder and it had soaked through his shirt. "Ew… Cas can you roll over?" Dean asked.

"No." Cas said mostly still asleep and tightened his grip on Dean's waist. Dean let out a sigh and started running his fingers through Cas' hair and Cas let out a content hum.

After a while Dean glanced at his phone and saw it was 7:45 in the morning which means Henry will be up soon. "Cas… Come on I need to get up."

"No." Cas huffed.

"Do you want to deal with a 3 year old right now?"

"No." Cas grunted and let Dean go.

"That's what I thought. At least try to come down for breakfast."

"Coffee?" Cas finally picked his head up.

"Yes I will make you coffee." Dean chuckled as Cas groaned and hid his head under the pillows.

"Turn the sun off."

"If I did that then we would die." Dean smirked and Cas flipped him off. "Do try and come down though. Henry misses you. I will tell him to try and keep quiet."

As Dean made his way down the hall to get Henry's bath started, Henry poked his head out of his door. "Well good morning sunshine." Dean smiled and knelt to the floor.

Henry ran over and wrapped his arms around Dean. Henry was always supper cuddly when he first wakes up. "Did you sleep well?" Dean asked as he picked him up and carried him back to Henry's room. Henry just nodded and clung tighter to Dean.

"Good." Dean whispered and kissed the side of his son's head. They sat in Henry's chair for a little bit while Dean rocked back and forth. "You ready to take a bath and make breakfast?"

"No." Henry yawned.

"No? Okay we can sit here for 5 more minutes okay?"

"'kay." Henry stretched a little and re adjusted in Dean's arms so he could put his nose in his neck.

Henry's 5 minutes were up so Dean picked him up and carried him to the bathroom. He set Henry down after he closed the door and got the bath running. Once the water was at the right temperature Dean turned around and helped Henry get undressed. "Go to the bathroom before you get in."

Dean pushed the little step stool over to the toilet so Henry could get up there. "Bubbles?" Henry asked, his voice still sleepy.

"Daddy will put bubbles in after we get you all clean okay?"

"Okay." Henry sighed and crawled into the bathtub and played with a little pirate ship while Dean cleaned him up. Dean finished washing Henry's hair when Henry's stomach growled.

Dean let out a chuckle, "do you still want bubbles or do you want breakfast?"

Henry sat there for a moment thinking. "Cas we has waffles?"

"If we have the stuff for it." Dean smiled and grabbed a towel to wipe Henry off, once he was dry he let Henry wear it like a cape so he could run back to his room.

"Look daddy I'm batman!"

"Yes you are buddy." Dean smiled and followed him down the hall. "Okay pick out you clothes." Dean said and held Henry up so he could see into his dresser drawers.

"Dese ones and those." Henry pointed to the spiderman underwear and star wars socks.

"Solid choice. Put them on please." Dean said and set Henry down. "Okay next." Dean picked him up again and opened his pants drawer.

"Dese." Henry pointed to a pair of jeans.

"Okay now shirt." Dean said once Henry had them on with a little help from Dean.

Dean opened the closet door and let Henry look through the shirts. "Dis one." Henry yanked off a AC/DC shirt.

"I like your style Henry James." Dean chuckled and set him down. "Stay here while daddy goes and changes real quick."

"Okay. Wear your shirt too!" Henry yelled knowing Dean has an AC/DC shirt just like his.

"Alright." Dean chuckled. Dean noticed Cas hadn't made much progress in getting out of bed but chose to leave him there. He'll come downstairs when he's ready. Dean got dressed and grabbed his phone and Henry.

"I'm sorry buddy but I don't have waffle mix." Dean said coming out of the pantry.

"Aw man." Henry whined.

"Let me look up everything I need to make waffles from scratch." Dean told him. "Huh. That's a lot easier than I thought…. Do you want chocolate chips in them or blueberries?"

"Both!"

"Uh, how about I make both. I'm not combining them." Dean grimaced at the idea of chocolate chip blueberry waffles.

"That's what I meaned." Henry rolled his eyes.

Dean rolled his eyes back and went over to the coffee pot to get coffee going. "I want coffee." Henry said.

"When you're older." Dean said not even bothering to look behind him as he scooped the grounds into the filter.

"What do you want with the waffles?"

"Eggs and bacon peas."

"Scrambled?"

"Yeah!"

Dean got all the ingredients out for the waffles and grabbed blueberries out of the fridge and he even got the mini waffle maker out Charlie bought him. That way Henry could have one of each waffle.

When he had just about everything ready he could hear Cas coming down the stairs. "Okay buddy. Papa is on his way down but he's not feeling very good so you need to make sure you use your inside voice."

"Okay." Henry said eyes fixated on the waffles.

"Morning." Cas mumbled as he shuffled into the kitchen, beelining for the coffee pot.

"Morning papa." Henry said.

"Morning." Dean answered and to show Cas he was sorry he went over and kissed his cheek. "We'll talk later." he whispered. Cas nodded and squeezed Dean's hand.

"Papa, daddy made waffles!" Henry said a little too loud and Cas winced.

"Sounds good."

"Do you want scrambled eggs or over easy?"

"I don't care." Cas sat down next to Henry and focused on his coffee.

"Papa is you sick?" Henry asked.

"Kind of. Papa just has a really bad headache." Cas explained.

"I sorry papa."

"Thank you buddy."

Dean placed a piece of bacon, a small scoop of eggs and one of each mini waffle on Henry's plate and made sure to put syrup on his waffles. "Henry do you want milk or orange juice?"

"Milk." Henry answered and grabbed his bacon. Dean placed the sippy cup in front of Henry and went to fix Cas' plate. He put 3 strips of bacon and a hearty scoop of eggs.

"Babe. What kind of waffle do you want? chocolate chip or blueberry?"

"Blueberry please." Cas mumbled.

"One or two?"

"One is fine." Dean put Cas' plate in front of him took his coffee cup and refilled it and also gave him a big glass of orange juice.

"Thank you." Cas said grabbing Dean's hand before he could pull it away.

"You're welcome." Dean fixed his own plate with a couple chocolate chip waffles with the rest of the bacon and orange juice and a small cup of coffee.

"Daddy can I has more?" Henry asked.

"More? You had a lot on your plate." Dean asked shocked.

"Pease?" Henry asked again.

"He must be hitting a growth spurt." Cas said sounding more awake.

"Must be." Dean agreed and took Henry's plate and gave him another waffle and threw a slice of bacon from his plate onto Henry's. "Here baby."

"Thank you. More milk peas." Henry handed Dean his sippy cup to be refilled.

"Thank you for breakfast Dean. I'm going to go take a shower then I'll come help you clean up."

Dean wiped Henry's face and hands once he was done eating and told him to go play while he finished his breakfast and started to clean up. He finished putting all the dishes he could into the dishwasher when Cas came back in.

"I told you I'd help you."

"I know but I didn't want it sitting around and getting sticky. Well stickier."

"What do you want to do with these waffles?" Cas asked.

"Put them in a ziplock back and throw them in the freezer."

They continued to work in silence and between the two of them the kitchen was spotless in no time and the all the coffee had been drank.

"Can we talk?" Cas asked once everything was done.

Dean poked his head into the living room to check on Henry, who was working on a puzzle. "Yes. Henry seems content with what he's doing."

And of course as soon as he said that Henry called out from the living room. "Daddy can I watch cartoons?"

"I got it." Cas said and went to turn the tv on.

"I want Paw Patrol papa."

"Alright." Cas found Paw Patrol on Netflix and turned it on and turned the volume up not too loud but loud enough so Henry wouldn't hear their conversation.

As soon as Cas walked back into the kitchen Dean blurted out that he was sorry. "I'm sorry too Dean. You have no idea how sorry I am."

"Cas. I don't know what came over me. I know that's not an excuse for my behavior. Just something about her get's me going. I know you'd never do anything with her or anything to hurt me like that. I just don't know what's wrong with me."

"I understand your reaction Dean. I really do. But you need to talk to me not just snap at me. Do you understand that I literally had no where to go when you kicked me out? My brother and mother both were out of town. Everyone else in my family are your family. I drove around for a long time in my own thoughts and the fact that I hurt you. I guess that's why I ended up drinking on the front step. Just to drown out my own thoughts. I know what I said was out of line and I have regretted saying it just as much as I regret saying all those years ago questioning if Henry was mine."

Dean was crying and couldn't look up at his mate. "I'm so sorry." he sniffled. "I'm such an asshole." Dean was crying even harder now with the over whelming guilt.

"Dean. Stop crying please." Cas said and pulled him into a hug.

"I don't deserve you." Dean clung to Cas' shirt.

"But I deserve you. Dean we're going to fight. We're going to say stupid things that regret. That's what come with mating and marriage. You may have overreacted, I may have overreacted. Dean that doesn't mean I'm going to love you any less."

"I love you." Dean mumbled.

"I love you more." Cas said and held Dean tighter. "And you know what the always say."

"What?"

"Make up sex is the best."

Dean laughed and pushed Cas away. "You're stupid."

Cas smiled but pulled Dean back and pulled him in for a kiss then spun Dean around so he was pressed against the counter. Dean gasped at the movement and Cas used that opportunity to deepen the kiss. One of Dean's hands ended up in Cas' hair while one of Cas' hands ended up grabbing Dean's ass.

"What are you doing?" Henry's voice started the two.

They jumped apart and Cas had to move behind the counter because his sweat pants were not hiding anything. "Nothing. I thought you were watching cartoons." Dean said while he fixed his glasses.

"I got bored. Can wes go to the park?"

"Sure. Go get your shoes and jacket on." Dean told him.

"We definitely need to finish that later." Cas said.

Dean rolled his eyes. "Go take care of that or calm down so we can go."

"You probably should just go with out me." Cas suggested.

"No. You're coming with us." Dean stated.

"I don't know if I can calm down." Cas admitted.

Dean got an evil grin on his face. "Think of a sweaty, naked Bobby."

"That's nasty." Cas grimaced.

"Did it work?" Dean asked after a few seconds.

"Yep. It's going away…. Let me go put jeans on."

"We'll be in the Impala." Dean grinned.

A few days had gone by and Dean was on his way downtown to meet the realtor for the final inspection for the building he wanted to buy for the Youth Center and hopefully he'd be signing papers.

"Well Mr. Winchester. Everything looks like its in good shape. I would just definitely work on the upper flooring and get new pipes." the inspector handed the realtor the papers.

"Thank you." Dean shook the guys hand.

"Well Dean, why don't we head on over to my office. I'll make a copy of these notes for you and we can sign some papers."

"Sounds like a plan. I'll meet you there. I just need to pick my son up from school real quick."

"No problem dear. I'll see you soon."

Dean picked up Henry and headed to the realtors office. "Henry daddy has some important things to do in here. I need you to on your best behavior."

Henry let out a huge yawn, "okay daddy."

Once they were in an office Henry noticed a small box of toys. "Daddy can I play?"

"Sure buddy just keep it down."

"Alright Dean, I've got all of the paperwork here. I just need you to sign here, here, and here."

Dean was half way through signing papers when his phone rang. "I'm sorry." Dean apologized and looked at his phone when he noticed it was Cas calling he answered it.

"Everything okay?" Dean answered.

"Yeah… Do you remember the offer from my captain about coming down and doing sketches?"

"Yeah."

"Can you come down? There's an omega in the hospital and she's not speaking to anyone and gets nervous around alphas."

"Yeah. Give me an hour to finish at realtors office. I'm almost done and let me see if I can't drop Henry off with someone, I'm pretty sure he's about to pass out."

"Okay thank you."

"No problem. Love you."

"Love you." Cas hung up and Dean got back to signing papers.

"Alright everything looks good. I'll get these filed and processed."

"Thank you." Dean smiled and shook her hand.

"I'll get ahold of you once everything goes through."

"Sounds great. Come on Henry." Dean held his hand out for his son but Henry just lifted his arms instead. Dean picked him up off the floor and carried him out to the impala.

"Do you want to go to grandmas and take a nap? Daddy has more things to do."

"Mhm." Henry mumbled.

Dean pulled up the driveway at his moms house and walked around to pull a sleeping Henry out of his carseat and headed inside.

Lucy started barking which scared Henry. "Lucy quit!" Dean snipped. "You're okay." Dean whispered to Henry who was whining softly.

"Dean?" Mary called out.

"Yeah mom." Dean answered and headed to the living room.

"What's going on?"

"Nothing. Cas needs help down at the station with an omega. Can I leave Henry here? He'll probably sleep the whole time."

"Of course honey. Lay him on the couch."

"Thank you."

"No problem."

"I'll be back as soon as I can."

"Don't worry about it Dean. Take your time."

"Thanks mom." Dean said and carefully laid Henry down on the couch and covered him up with a blanket.

Dean stopped at home to grab his things and headed down to the station. He found Cas at his desk, "hey."

"Hey. Where's Henry?"

"I dropped him off at moms. He'll probably sleep the whole time he's there."

"Oh good. Come with me." Cas said and led Dean back outside and got into the impala.

"What's going on?"

"Someone found her in an alley all beat up and obvious evidence of rape."

"Oh my god." Dean gasped.

Once they got to the hospital they were instructed to wait outside the room because the doctor was in the middle of exams. The doctor came out 10 minutes later. "Ah, officer glad you're here. Is there somewhere we can talk in private?" the doctor asked side eyeing Dean.

"Of course. If you allow my mate to go in and talk to her to compose a sketch of her assailant."

"Go right ahead and good luck, she still isn't talking."

Cas and the doctor headed down the hall while Dean entered the room. The girl laying there was around 25 and she was staring out the window. "Excuse me?" Dean spoke softly so he wouldn't startle her.

When she didn't answer Dean spoke a little louder and she still didn't answer he slowly approached and tapped her shoulder. The woman gasped and spun around.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Dean apologized and held up his hands to show he wasn't going to hurt her. "My name is Dean." he introduced himself and he noticed her staring at his mouth and it clicked in his head.

Dean set his sketch pad and pencils down and started signing.

'Hi. My name is Dean. What's yours?"

The woman eyes lit up and she signed back, 'I'm Sarah.'

Dean smiled, 'hi Sarah. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'm here to help you. I need you to tell me as much as you can about the alpha who did this to you.'

Sarah nodded. Dean grabbed a notebook and pen that were sitting on the table next to Sarah. 'Okay honey, go ahead and describe him.'

'He was tall. Dark eyes, brown hair. He had a scar along his left eyebrow and a tattoo of a spider on his neck… Uh on the right side.'

'Thank you. I will start my sketch and show you once I'm done.' Dean went over to a chair in the corner and began working on his sketch.

Dean was almost done when Cas came into the room. "Hey."

"Hey. How did you get her to talk?" Cas asked once he realized what Dean was doing.

"She's deaf." Dean stated.

"That explains it." Cas glanced over. "What have you found out."

"Not a lot. She just explained her attacker. Her name is Sarah."

"Okay. The doctor told me everything from her lab results. She's pregnant. They tried telling her but she hasn't reacted and now we know why."

"I'm almost done let me finish this then we can talk to her."

"Dean."

"What?"

"I-I don't remember some of my singing." Cas admitted.

"I don't blame you, we haven't been signing with Henry like we should be. We need to get back on that."

"I agree."

"I'll sign and intemperate." Dean grinned and finished up his sketch. "Here do you recognize him?"

"No." Cas frowned and they went over to Sarah's bed.

Sarah never let Cas out of her sight. She could smell the alpha on him and it made her nervous.

'Sarah.' Dean signed directing her attention to him.

'This is Cas. He's my husband and mate.' Dean explained and they could see her relax.

'I finished my sketch will you take a look?'

Sarah nodded and Dean handed her his sketch book. Sarah started trembling and started crying as she threw the sketchbook.

'Is that him?' Dean asked and Sarah nodded again. 'Sarah, honey, can you tell us what happened?'

'I was walking home from the library late at night. He snuck up on behind me and threw me in a van. He blindfolded me and next thing I knew I was in a basement and he chained me to a wall. He cut me and raped me.'

Dean was starting to have flash backs to Alistair's basement. He controlled his breathing so he wouldn't have a breakdown in front of Sarah.

Cas asked Dean to sign where she was cut. Sarah slowly lifted her gown and showed the cuts along her stomach and Dean nearly fainted. They were almost identical to his. Cas noticed to and signed a quick thank you to Sarah and he escorted Dean out of the room.

"Cas." Dean gasped and bent over.

"Dean, it's okay. It's probably a weird coincidence."

"COINCIDENC?! Cas!" Dean yelled.

"Shh. Dean come on let's go we'll send someone else down here to talk to Sarah."

Cas quickly led Dean out to the impala and got him in the passenger seat. "Where's Alistair?"

"In prison. You know this." Cas told him.

"WHERE?!" Dean yelled.

"They sent him to Leavenworth."

"He's less than an hour away. Castiel, please tell me he is still in prison."

"He is still in prison Dean. He is not going anywhere."

"I need you to check. Please."

"I will." Cas promised.

"How did she have the exact same scars as me Cas?"

"I don't know."

"I think I'm going to be sick." Dean gagged and opened the door just in time to puke in the hospital parking lot.

"Let's get you home." Cas said softly once Dean leaned back and shut the door.

"Henry's at moms." Dean mumbled and closed his eyes as Cas eased the impala onto the highway.

They drove in complete silence until Cas pulled into the driveway. "Do you want me to go get him?"

"Yes please." Dean whispered. "Tell mom I'll talk to her later."

"Okay I will."

Cas came out a few minutes later with Henry on his hip. Cas got Henry buckled in and headed back towards the station.

"Hi daddy." Henry pipped up from the back.

"Hey buddy." Dean said softly.

"Is you sad?"

"No buddy there's just a lot on my mind right now.

"I'm sorry daddy."

Dean let out a small chuckle, "thank you Henry. I'll be okay."

"Are you okay to drive home?" Cas asked once they got back to the station.

"Yeah, I'm good." Dean let out a sigh and got out of the impala to switch places with Cas.

"Do you want me to come home?"

"Yes. But I'm not letting you. Just get whatever information about Alistair you can."

"I will. Love you." Cas pulled Dean in for a hug.

"Love you too. Be safe for the next 4 hours." They gave each other a quick kiss.

"I will." Cas said and headed back into the building while Dean headed home.

"Captain do you have a moment?" Cas asked knocking on the captains door.

"Sure. Close the door."

Cas shut the door and sat in the chair on the opposite side of the desk.

"Before we start, was Dean able to get a sketch?"

"Oh, yes. Here." Cas said handing over the sketch. "We discovered that our victim is deaf. Her name is Sarah, she was walking home from the library when she was grabbed and raped. Her abdomen was cut up as well. You'll be able to read the rest in my report."

"Hmm. Any idea of who would do this?"

"Kind of. This is what I wanted to speak to you about."

"Go on."

"I need to know about Alistair Evans. Last I knew he was in Leavenworth. But I want to know if he's had contact with anyone outside of prison or if he's been transferred."

"What does he have to do with this case?"

"He kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and tortured my mate shortly after he had our son. Sarah, has almost the exact same cuts along her abdomen as Dean."

"That's horrible to hear, I'm sorry." the captain admitted.

"As far as I know it was just him and his father that were kidnapping, raping, and torturing but maybe there were accomplices."

"I'll look into this and find out about Alistair for you."

"Thank you captain."

Cas was on his way back to his desk to file his report on Sarah when he got called out to a domestic disturbance. He pulled up to a house and he could already hear the yelling from his car.

"YOU'RE A STUPID SON OF A BITCH WHO CAN'T KEEP IT IN HIS PANTS!"

Cas stopped at the door and knocked. When there was no answer he knocked again and yelled, "Lawrence Police, open up!"

He was about to knock again when the door flung open and the smell of pot and alcohol attacked his senses. Cas cleared his throat, "is everything alright here?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't it be?" the man asked eyeing Cas up and down.

"We've been informed of constant yelling. Just following up on the call." Cas explained.

"Like I said dude. Nothing wrong here." The guy tried closing the door.

"Hold on a minute." Cas said stopping the door.

"May I speak with your friend?"

"She's busy."

"Sir. I heard you two yelling the moment I got out of my car."

"You're hearing things bro."

Cas let out a sigh and was about to let the man go when a woman came up behind the man.

"Eric. Move." she huffed.

"I said stay in the bedroom."

"I am so sick of you bossing me around!"

Cas stood there taking in the woman's appearance. She had a black eye and a split lip and there were fading bruises around her neck.

"My name is Lilly Anderson and I'm tired of this son of a bitch abusing me and just being an asshole."

"I-uh okay…" Cas was taken aback for a moment and reached for his cuffs when Eric took off, shoulder checking Cas as he went by. "Seriously." Cas groaned and chased after him.

Cas rounded the corner and dropped to the ground when Eric hit him with a board. "Son of a bitch." Cas gasped.

"I told you to leave me alone." Eric spat and took off running again.

"Seriously." Cas groaned again as he stood up and took off again. He radioed in back up knowing there was no way in hell he was going be able to transport a pissed off alpha in cuffs who knows how many blocks back to his own car.

He finally caught up to Eric and tackled him to the ground, after yelling at him 3 times to stop. "Eric, you are under arrest. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to a lawyer, if you cannot afford one, one will be appointed to you." Cas hauled Eric off the ground just as a squad car pulled up. Cas led Eric to the car and helped him in.

"Will you give me a lift back to my car?" Cas asked Benny, who was the second officer to arrive.

"Sure thing. You good? You're breathing kinda heavy."

"I'm good. He got me in the gut with a chunk of wood and I never got the chance to catch my breath."

"Ouch." Benny grimaced and the two headed back to the house to get Cas' car.

"Head on back I need to go talk to the girlfriend."

Cas knocked on the door and Lilly cracked it open. "Oh it's you. Did you get him?"

"Yes ma'am. If you want to come with me we can get a formal statement from you and you can file an abuse claim.

"Uh… No thank you. I-I changed my mind." Lilly said and Cas could tell she was scared.

"Lilly, he's not going to hurt you again. I can promise you that."

"Okay… Let me grab a jacket."

Back at the station Cas left her with another office because the captain called him back to the office. "Heard you got hit in the gut pretty good. You need to get checked out?"

"No sir, I'm okay."

"Good. I've got some news for you. Sit… Alistair has not left Leavenworth since he's been there. He get's no mail and only one visitor."

"Who's the visitor?"

"Uh, an Amelia Baker."

Cas' blood ran cold.

"When was the last time she visited him?"

"According to the records 3 days ago and judging by your scent and your facial expressions that's not a good thing."

"She knew the whereabouts of my mate when Alistair had him captive and she kept it secret until she thought it deemed fit to tell anyone. She has caused multiple problems in my personal life. My mate and I have a restraining order against her. Which she ignores quite often."

"Would she know the details of Alistair's torture methods?"

"A little bit but I don't think i's enough for her to copy exactly or to guide anyone."

"Unfortunately I have no leads on that then. I'll keep digging. Finish up your paperwork for the day and you can go."

"Thank you captain."

Cas was just finishing his report on Sarah when Lilly stopped at his desk.

"Officer Novak?"

"Yes?"

"Thank you."

"For what?"

"Getting me out of there… I don't have much money and I'm only 19 so I'm headed to a local women's shelter. But I just wanted to thank you for getting me out of that situation."

"Of course. That's why I'm here. I wish you the best of luck and let me know if I can do anything." Cas sad and handed her a card with his name and number on it.

"Thanks." Lilly took the card and let an officer take her home.

"Novak, my office." The captain's voice came through on Cas' desk phone.

"Yes sir?"

"The young lady you brought in mentioned a friend of Eric's. His name is Will Barron. And he just so happens to match the description of the man who assaulted Sarah. Lilly also has the same scars as Lilly and Dean."

"Do we know where to find Will?"

"We're running his name now. Go on home, I'll call you when we find anything."

"Thank you sir."

Cas grabbed his phone and keys off his desk and headed out to the Tahoe. Before he took off he called Dean.

"Hey." Dean answered.

"Let's go to the roadhouse. I need a drink after this shit day."

"What about Henry?"

"He can come. We won't be there long, just long enough to eat and have a couple drinks."

"Okay."

"I love you." Cas said.

"I love you too. Are you okay?" Dean asked.

"It's just been a long day."

"Okay well just drive safely. I'll see you in a bit."

"I will." Cas hung up and headed home.

"PAPA!" Henry yelled and ran to Cas.

"Hey buddy!" Cas picked Henry up ignoring the pain in his gut.

"Daddy says we're going to the Roadhouse. Can I has a pop?"

"Yes, you can have one glass of pop." Cas chuckled and set Henry down.

"He's more excited about the pop than seeing me." Cas told Dean .

"Well when I told him we were going that was the first thing out of his mouth." Dean explained.

"Are you feeling better? We don't have to go out if you don't want to."

"I'm alright. And we never did get to celebrate your birthday so I figured we both need to go out."

"Okay well let me take a quick shower and change."

"Jesus!" Cas jumped when he walked into the bedroom to see Dean standing there.

"Sorry, I needed to change. Henry spilled juice all over me."

"It's alright." Cas chuckled.

"Cas!" Dean gasped and ran to his mates side when he noticed the dark bruises along his lower abdomen. "What happened?!"

"I'm fine." Cas assured him, "I was chasing someone down and they got me with a piece of wood."

"Oh my god." Dean gently touched Cas' stomach and snatched his hand back when Cas flinched. "I'm sorry."

"It's alright." Cas got dressed real quick and when he turned around he noticed Dean was crying.

"Hey, hey I'm okay Dean. I promise. I've been shot before, remember?"

"Of course I remember you ass." Dean huffed and punched his shoulder. Cas was about to respond when his phone rang.

"Novak. Is there a way you can get a picture of Dean's scars? That way we can look at all 3 together."

"Uh I can try he's very private about that."

"Okay I understand just send them over if you can get it."

"Yes sir. Any other news?"

"Not yet, Will's prints are still being ran."

"Okay, thanks."

"What was that about?" Dean asked.

"So, there's been another girl with the same scars as you."

Dean sat on the bed suddenly feeling nauseous. "The captain was wondering if I could send them a picture of your scars so they can compare all 3."

"I have more scars than they do."

"I understand, but the prominent ones are the ones they want to look at. They understand if you say no."

"But if I do, it'll help find whoever is doing this?"

"Hopefully yes."

Dean took a couple shaky breaths. "Okay… But later? Henry's already chomping at the bit to go eat."

"Of course. Let's go."

Dean pulled into the Roadhouse and was grateful there weren't many cars there. "Daddy, papa can I has cheesy fries?"

"You can have some of daddy's okay?" Dean compromised.

"Okay." Henry frowned.

"Hey boys!" Ellen greeted.

"Hi Ellen!" Henry waved.

"Hey baby! You want a root beer?"

"Yeah! Daddy and papa said I could!" A few people sitting at the bar chuckled at Henry's comment.

"Go pick a table dork." Dean laughed and nudged his son forward.

"Dean, you want a coke?"

"Yes please."

"Cas?"

"I'll take a beer please."

Dean hunted Henry down in a booth towards the back and started sliding in next to him when Henry whined. "Nooo I wanna sit by papa!"

"Okay then sorry." Dean slid back out and switched sides.

Ellen came by a few minutes later with their drinks, "Cas, sugar this one's on the house. We never did get to celebrate your birthday."

"Oh, thanks Ellen." Cas said and Dean's ears turned red knowing why they didn't celebrate his birthday.

"Here's your root beer honey and your coke."

"Thanks Ellen." Dean and Henry said.

"Do you boys know what you want?"

"I want chicken nuggets and cheese fries!"

"Henry, I told you you could have some of mine."

"Oh hush." Ellen said, "I'll give him a small amount."

Dean sighed but knew there was no point in arguing with Ellen. "You know what I want."

"Cas?"

"Same as Dean but can I get onion rings instead?"

"Sure thing. I'll be back in a bit."

"Papa did you get any bad guys today?" Henry asked.

"A couple." Cas chuckled.

"How bad were they?"

"Not too bad buddy." Cas was still grinning, amused by his son.

"What did you do today?"

"Well after we got back from Grandma's daddy and I watched a movie and then we did puzzles."

"That sounds like fun."

"Can we do a puzzle when we gets home?"

"Maybe." Cas told him and before Henry could answer Ellen brought their food.

Dean noticed the extra basket of food and was about to ask when Ellen slid in next to him.

"Hope you boys don't mind if I eat with you real quick."

"Not at all." Cas responded.

"Where's Bobby?" Henry asked.

"He's at home grading tests."

"Oh." Henry shrugged and dug into his food.

A few beers later, they were ready to leave. They said their goodbyes to Ellen and headed home, Henry passing out half way home.

Dean got Henry changed and into bed with very little fuss and headed towards his and Cas' bedroom.

"Alright lets get this over with." Dean sighed and took his shirt off.

"Mmm get what over with?" Cas grinned and went to run his hands across Dean's body when Dean slapped his hand away.

"The picture pervert." Dean said but couldn't help but smile.

"Oh right. You sure?" Cas asked.

"No, but if it's going to help then so be it."

"Okay." Cas said softly and grabbed his phone. Dean stood ridged at the foot of the bed and closed his eyes while Cas took the pictures.

"I'm done." Cas whispered and Dean let out a shaky breath. "I love you so much." Cas said pulling Dean into a hug.

Dean let out a small sob and clung to Cas' shirt. "I don't know how. I'm ugly Cas."

"I don't think so."

"How can you look passed all of my scars?"

"I honestly don't even notice them Dean. Not unless we talk about them and I have to focus on them. I just see you. I see my beautiful mate."

Dean pulled Cas down and smashed their lips together. Cas' hands went straight to Dean's waist and gently lowered him down to the bed. They continued to kiss for a while before they shed the rest of their clothes.

"Are you sure?" Cas asked.

"I'm sure." Dean nodded and they both gasped once Cas slid in.

The pace was slow and gentle filled with quiet gasps, small giggles and sweet whispers.
