Jack ran down the street away from the burning building of the JPD while Vincent was still inside with one of the hulking behemoth monsters that had been chasing him.

He stopped and turned his head to see the light from the fire and black smoke rising up into the sky. "Vincent, you had better be alive the next time I see you. I may need your help again soon." He thought before taking off down the street again.

Takagi Estate...

A man standing on top of a tall stone wall at the Takagi Estate had a pair of binoculars held up to his face as he surveyed the surrounding area until he spotted a bright orange light off in the distance.

He lowered the binoculars for a brief moment before bringing them back up to his face to see if his eyes weren't deceiving him before he turned to one of the other men that walked up beside him when he saw the light himself.

"Sir, should I go wake Lord and Lady Takagi?" The man asked, but the other man shook his head.

"No. We shouldn't wake them if doesn't concern the safety of the estate. Let them be for now." He answered making the man nod before returning to his patrol.

The man turned his head back towards the light and shook his head. "How on earth did it come to this?" He wondered before beginning to survey the surrounding area again.

With Jack...

Jack entered an underground tunnel that lead to the other part of the city, and had only made it halfway into the long tunnel before he stopped when he suddenly began to hear loud thudding footsteps behind him.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me." He thought annoyed as he slowly turned his head to see one of the, now annoying, hulking monsters that had the rocket launcher as its weapon walking down the tunnel.

It suddenly stopped when it noticed Jack and its toothy mouth turned up into a horrific and disturbing grin before it spoke. "STAAARS..."

"Fuck this." Jack whispered before he broke into a mad dash down the tunnel to try and get out before the monster caught up to him.

But that plan would last for very long, he could then hear the monster running behind him when a part of the tunnel suddenly exploded and slightly knocked Jack off balance as he ran. "I need to find another way out. I won't be able to outrun that bastard while he has that launcher on him." He thought while the monster fired more rockets at him before he suddenly noticed a door on the left side of the tunnel.

"I hope that door has a way out." He thought hopefully as he rushed over to the door and scrambled to get himself inside just as the monster fired off another rocket at him.

Jack quickly closed the door but was blown back against the wall just as the rocket hit hit metal door. He groaned and got up slowly to see that the explosion had destroyed the door and stone debris had blocked the way in.

He could also see water leaking in from the cracks on the roof and the wall which made him instantly worried.

"Ok, I need to find a way out of here. I am NOT going to die in here from drowning." He thought as he searched the room for a way out.

While he checked, he could hear the monster on the other side of the ruined door shouting and roaring in anger before he suddenly found a way out.

But it lead deeper into the sewers.

"Great, the sewers. Again. I'm going to need a serious bath or shower when I get to the Takagi's." He thought as he lifted up the lid of the manhole and climbed down the ladder.

With Saeko and Takashi's group...

The people who weren't drunk in Takashi's group of survivors, namely Takashi himself, Saeko and Kohta, all jumped when they felt sudden tremors that were close by, but were still a safe distance away.

Saeko ran up the stairs from the kitchen into Takashi and Kohta's room to check on them, though they seemed to be fine, but she still wanted to check.

"Are you two ok? What the hell was that?" She asked them both in concern, but they both shook their heads.

"We're fine, Saeko, but we don't know what the hell that was. It was so sudden." Takashi answered as Kohta ran out to the balcony and surveyed the surrounding area for a fire from the explosions with the sniper rifle from Miss Shizuka's friends locker, but couldn't find anything.

Kohta shook his head in disbelief. "Kohta, you see anything?" Takashi asked, but Kohta shook his head again. "No, nothing. That was weird and it doesn't make sense." He replied making Saeko nod her head.

"I agree. Those were multiple explosions and they were close. Too close. Maybe we should get moving soon." She advised before Takashi turned to her. "No. No way. This place is practically fortified. The undead can't get to us. If we try to leave we compromise our position and safety we shouldn't just leave because of a few-" He began to explain not noticing the loud thudding footsteps outside the apartment.

"Takashi! Shut up!" Kohta whispered angrily. Takashi and Saeko looked at him in surprise since he's never spoken to anyone like that before, not even to Takagi.

They looked at him while he looked through the rifle scope trembling. Takashi and Saeko walked up to him slowly and crouched down beside him. "Kohta? What's wrong?" She asked him wondering what has him so spooked. He said nothing as he just continued to look through the rifle scope frozen.

He then motioned his head in the direction that he was looking as she and Takashi looked in the same direction before freezing themselves.

Right near the stone wall of the apartment that were currently sheltering themselves in was a huge hulk of a fleshy, leather clad monster with a rocket launcher looking right up at them with one pale dead eye.

Takashi and Saeko slowly sank back down next to Kohta and began to tremble in fear.

Glancing at Kota without turning his head, Takashi asked Kohta with a shaky voice. "Kohta... just what... the fuck... is that thing?" He asked him slowly, but Kohta couldn't answer, he just shook his head while still frozen from looking at the monster dead in its eye through the rifle scope.

"Nemesis..."

Takashi looked over at Saeko while Kohta glanced over at her before quickly glancing back at the monster to keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn't make a move.

"Saeko... you know what that thing is?" Takashi whispered to her making her nod slowly.

"Yes. Jack told about the monsters that his aunt encountered back in Raccoon City. This was one of them. It was also the one that chased her without rest. It was relentless." She explained before Takashi looked back at the Nemesis before it suddenly lost interest in the group then started walking away down the street.

The 3 teens let out a deep breath of relief and sat down on the floor. Then Saeko came to a realization. "Wait. If the Nemesis is here, then it must be after Jack. And if it's still roaming around the city..." She wondered before her eyes widened with a sparkle. "Jack must still be alive somewhere." She thought happily.

However, she was still worried that the Nemesis program was still operational. It should've been liquidated along with the Umbrella Corporation after the Raccoon City incident. She was happy with the thought that Jack might still be alive, but also worried at the same time that a forgotten Umbrella program was still active and searching for Jack.

The group suddenly heard light footsteps running up the street. Kohta look through the rifle scope again to see a man and a young girl with pink hair and a black leather jacket, that was too big for her, running up the street before dashing into an open gate that lead into a small yard.

The father began banging on the door shouting and begging the people inside to let them in.

"Help! Let us in, please! They're right behind us! Let us in, please!" The father shouted as the young girl clung to his leg while the undead began to come into the yard and slowly surround the two.

Kohta, trembling and shaking in anger that the people inside weren't helping the two, gritted his teeth. "We have to help them." He simply said.

Meanwhile, back in the sewers...

Jack made his way through the sewers and had found a way out, but the way was blocked by a metal gate, so he had to find a way around to get to the ladder that lead back up to the surface.

Armed with a shotgun that found in the sewers from a dead JPD officer, he maneuvered his way around the frustrating maze that was the sewers and finally managed to get to the ladder that was his way back to the surface.

He looked up to see that the climb was going to take a while, but he sucked it up and began to climb up. "Well, hopefully I won't run into that bastard again. Although, who the hell am I kidding? From what Jill told me, those fuckers are persistent. I can hope though." He thought as he climbed up and neared the lid of the manhole.

As he near the top, he slowly and, tried, quietly slid the manhole lid to the side and was about to climb out, but his head was suddenly grasped and he was yanked out of the manhole and tossed to the side like a rag doll.

Jack shook his head and looked up to see who it was that yanked him out of the manhole, only to see that it was the monster again with the rocket launcher.

And it was pointed right at him.

"Alright, Nemesis, this is getting fucking old." He said to the monster angrily, who just grinned before Jack jumped away and began to run to down the street to find someplace to hide away from the Nemesis.

Jack ran away from Nemesis, but the monster didn't bother chasing after him yet, it aimed its weapon at him and waited until it had a lock. When it did it fired a rocket at Jack, who had just narrowly dodged the rocket when he jumped inside an abandoned office building that had been condemned.

The explosion from the rocket had started a fire and Jack was stunned for a brief moment before he heard the thudding footsteps of the Nemesis walking towards the entrance of the building. He shook his head and got up quickly before running towards the stairs as Nemesis snarled behind him as it walked into the building.

"STARRRS..."

Jack ran up to the 2nd floor of the building and was about to run up to the 3rd when Nemesis suddenly landed a few feet away from him making him pause before he quickly ran up the stairs again to avoid the next shot from the rocket launcher.

"I forgot that Jill told me that these fuckers weren't just fast. They can jump too and use tentacles." He thought with a slight shiver. "Ugh, actually, I don't want to think about that ever again." He thought again as he continued to run up the stairs with Nemesis following him up the building.

The fire spread quickly and followed both Jack and Nemesis up the building, before Nemesis suddenly found itself trapped by the fire as began to burn its leather clothing.

Nemesis roared and howled in pain as it swatted away at the fire, but to no avail as Jack continued his climb up the stairs in the building in order to figure out a way to get away from the Bio Organic Weapon that had been terrorizing him since the start of this nightmare.

Jack finally reached the top of the building to see all of the city and searched around to find a way to climb back down, but Nemesis burst out from underneath the floor and landed in front of Jack with multiple burns all over its body. With the top half of its outfit gone, Nemesis slowly turned its head with a glare and a snarl before it tried swiping its arm at Jack, who had ducked and jumped away from the monster to get some distance between them.

Nemesis roared at him and began to walk towards him slowly. Jack, tired of the running, brought up the shotgun and began firing at Nemesis at its weakened and vulnerable spots.

Takagi Estate...

The guard from earlier, noticing a building on fire in the distance, turned around and shouted at one of the other guards.

"You! Go wake Lord Takagi! Now!" He ordered at the guard, who nodded and ran into the elegant and beautiful mansion to go wake up the lord of the estate.

Moments later, Souichiro Takagi quickly ran up beside the guard as he was handed the binoculars and looked through them to examine the burning building in the distance. He then lowered the binoculars and looked to the guard. "How soon can you assemble a team of your best men?" Souichiro asked the guard with his always present glare.

"Within the hour, Lord Takagi." The guard answered making Souichiro nod.

"You have 10 minutes. Go." He ordered as the guard nodded and left to go assemble a team together to investigate the fire.

Souichiro brought the binoculars back up to his eyes and looked to the burning building again. "Just what the hell is going on over there?" He wondered.

With Jack and the Nemesis...

Jack had fired off another, but last, round of a shotgun blast at Nemesis vulnerable point, this time its head, as it continued to roar and howl in pain while the building continued to burn.

He quickly pulled out his Dragon Edge and continued to fire at the Nemesis before he finally got fed up with the monster absorbing the bullets and fired at an explosive barrel making it exploded and engulf the Nemesis in more flames.

Nemesis howled and patted itself frantically and rapidly to put the fire out before it crouched to its knees in pain as it tried to regain its composure before Jack noticed that there was a crane off to the side, but he wasn't sure if the controls were still working since the building had been condemned.

Thankfully they were so he turned on the ignition, but unfortunately, he had to waited for it to boot up. He quickly turned around when he heard Nemesis groan as it stood back up. It glared at Jack again and began to walk towards him again, but much slower this time than before when it followed and chased him persistently.

"S...STARRRS..." Nemesis snarled weakly.

Jack decided to buy some time and stepped away from the controls and looked around to see what the crane had been holding.

Steel beams.

"Thank you, God." He thought as he walked backwards slowly to lead Nemesis away from the controls and keep its focus on him. He pulled out his Dragon Edge again and began to fire round after round to keep the monsters focus.

He eventually came back around full circle before he ran back to the controls and turned around as he pulled out the his grenade launcher that found at the JPD and loaded an acid round into the barrel.

"That's right, bring that fugly mug here, you bastard." He whispered and waited until the Nemesis was just close enough before he shot the grenade at it and watched the the acid covered the monster as it sizzled loudly.

Nemesis, whose eye widened at the new painful sensation, roared and howled as it patted itself down like it did with the fire, but it wasn't helping. Jack quickly turned around while Nemesis was preoccupied and activated the crane to make the steel beams crash and collide with the monster.

Nemesis looked up just as the bundle of steel beams crashed into it as two of the beams impaled straight through Nemesis.

Nemesis, with a look of shock on his face, gurgled as it tried to remove the beams, but didn't have the strength to before its arms just collapsed to the floor with its last breath.

Jack, who had held his, let out a deep sigh of relief before looking over to see that there was a mini elevator that lead back down to the street.

Tired, he walked over to the elevator and was about make pull the lever down to take him back down to a safe surface level, when he heard a sound he thought he'd silenced.

"STARRRS...!!!"

He turned around quickly thinking Nemesis was right behind him, but was felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder that knocked him down and made him grab onto the lever, which made the elevator go down quicker than he would've liked.

The elevator was just about to reach the ground floor of the street, but Jack quickly pushed the lever up and stopped it just as it was about to hit the street.

Jack opened one eye and peeked out the elevator to see that he had been damn near close to death before he let out a relieved and light chuckled before he stepped out of the elevator and began to walk down the street that lead to a water way.

He listened to the water flow for a moment before looking up to the bridge.

He sighs and shrugs before making his way to the bridge and took his time to cross it. Along the way, he pulled out the syringe that Vincent had given him and examined the bright orange liquid that contained it.

"So, this is the virus that fucked up the past few days, huh? Well... whoever made this is going to pay dearly for it. And I'm going to make sure of-" He thought before he suddenly felt a piercing sharp pain in his left shoulder again as he put the syringe away and looked at his left arm.

What he saw made his heart sink and his skin turn pale. "What?!" He thought in a panic.

Purple veins could be seen showing up all in his forearm and into his hand before he quickly took off his belt and wrapped it around his arm as a tourniquet.

"How?! How the fuck did I get infected?! When did I...?!" He thought before he suddenly remembered what happened back at the building.

"Nemesis! That fucking son of a BITCH!!!" He shouted in his head as tears suddenly built up in his eyes before he dropped to his knees and lowered his head in despair and defeat.

"No... no... this won't be how I die. I refuse. I have to keep going. For mom, Jill, Chris, Hirano, Rei, Hisashi, Takashi, Saya and the Takagi's. For Vincent and Saeko. I have to keep going." He thought as he stood back up and walked the rest of the way across the bridge and made it to the next part of the city street.

"I... I have to... keep... going... for... Saeko... I can't... go... yet..."

Jacks thoughts began to drift as he walked slower and slower up the street before he suddenly collapsed on the sidewalk and lost consciousness.

One hour later...

Souichiro rode in military grade jeep as he and a convoy team rode down the street to go to the location of the burning building, but they all stopped when they saw that the building had begun to collapse.

"Fan out." Souichiro ordered.

He and his men all hopped out of the jeeps and fanned out to scan the area of any undead.

After a few minutes, the men reported over the radios. "All clear, Lord Takagi." One of the men reported.

"Same here, Sir. All clear."

"All clear on the south side, Sir."

But Bravo leader didn't respond.

Souichiro walked up to one of his men and snatched the radio from him. "Bravo leader, report." He ordered.

But no response.

"Bravo leader! Report!" Souichiro shouted.

After a moment, Bravo leader responded. "Sir, we have something. Or rather someone." He reported.

"Well?" Souichiro asked, losing patience.

"Um... it's Jack, Sir. Jack Valentine." Bravo leader answered.

Souichiro's eyes widened. "Valentine-san?! Where is he?! Is he alright?!" He demanded, but it was a moment before Bravo leader answered.

"He's... He's still alive, Sir. But, Sir?"

"What?

"He's infected."
