"Leon, have you arrived at the informed location?" Ingrid Hannigan asked the man, identified as Leon S. Kennedy.

Leon nodded before speaking. "Affirmative. I just got here and, Hannigan... this place... it looks like a slaughter. That's exactly what it is. A slaughter. These kids didn't stand a chance. I'll be surprised if there are any survivors." He answered sadly as he looked at the area surrounding him.

Blood smeared all over the the high school building. Bodies littering the ground. Pools of blood. Severed and torn limbs. Dead teenage students hanging outside of the windows.

Hannigan, who nodded her head in sadness, adjusted her glasses before continuing to speak. "I know how hard this must be for you, Leon. And I would never have asked you to do this mission because of your experience. However, you are one of the only people who have enough experience in a situation like this where you'll come back out alive. If there are any survivors out there in the city, they'll need your help." She said to him.

Leon, however, slowly shook his head. "What about Valentine? Shouldn't she be the one to handle this mission?" He asked before continuing. "I mean, her sister and nephew are here somewhere in the city. Shouldn't she be the one to handle this?" He finished his question, but Hannigan just sighed deeply.

"That was the original plan, Leon, but then they took into consideration that she may not think clearly enough to help any survivors. If she's too focused on Natalie and Jack, she may end up getting herself hurt or worse. Chris and Claire Redfield were also considered, but Chris would be in the same boat as Jill and not focus solely on the mission at hand. And Claire, well, you already know the answer to that one." She explained to Leon, but he shook his head.

"I'm sure she wouldn't have refused if she knew that Jack and Natalie were involved, Hannigan." He said to her.

"But she also wouldn't have voluntarily come back to a hellish nightmare like this, Leon." She said back.

"Hannigan, I think you underestimate this family of ours." Leon shot back bitterly, but Hannigan just shook her head. "Those are not my words, Leon. You know that. I know exactly what they would've done if one of us were in trouble." She said in defense.

Leon then began to walk towards the school gate that had been plowed through and examined it closely before speaking to Hannigan again.

"Speaking of. Do any of them know what's going on here in Japan? I'm surprised I haven't heard from them." He asks his partner, who remained silent.

Leon looks down at his communication tool with a slight glare. "Hannigan, they DO know, don't they?" He asks her.

Hannigan just clears her throat before shaking her head no.

"Hannigan! Why don't they know?! Jack and Natalie are here and they could be hurt, dead or worse! Why haven't they been informed?!" He shouts at the woman who looks down sadly before looking back up at him.

"It's... strictly need to know, Leon. Chris and Jill are out on an investigation mission for the BSAA, and Claire is out on her own mission with the Peace Corps." She answers as Leon looks at her through his communication device in disbelief. "But, the higher ups have informed me that they will be informed of the situation as soon as they get back. However, when that will be, I don't know I'm afraid." She informs him.

Leon looks up and shakes his head, again, in disbelief before looking back at Hannigan. "Hannigan, we're not talking about highly classified government information. We're talking about a woman's sister and her nephew, both of whom have NO experience for a situation like this. They may have been prepared since Raccoon City, but they still have no experience for this. Jill has a right to know. She has more of a right to know than I do. Hannigan, you have to see reason that this isn't right. Be the voice of reason here and try convincing the higher ups to contact and inform Jill of what's going on. She deserves to know, Ingrid." He says to her as she looked at him with slight shock.

He only ever uses her first name when he is being absolutely serious. And it is rare that he calls her by her first name.

Hannigan, after a moment, looks down and sighs before nodding her head slowly. "Alright... Alright, Leon. I'll see if I can change their minds, but I make no promises, understand?" She says to him while he nods with a small smile.

"Thanks, Hannigan. You're the best." He says to her as she adjusts her glasses with a smile.

"That's right, and don't you forget it, Agent Kennedy. Now get a move on. Find Jack and Natalie, and also find out the source of this outbreak. Put a stop to it and whoever is behind it. Japan is one of the most famous and wealthiest countries in the world. The last thing we need is a Raccoon City disaster on an entire country. Find a way to stop this, Leon. We're counting on you." She says to Leon before cutting off communication.

Leon puts his communication device in your one of his pockets. He continues to examine the ruined school gate and wonders if there were survivors that managed to escape from the school.

"Aw, I heard what you just said, Leon. I thought I was the best? Don't we have something special?" A sultry voice said from behind Leon with a fake hurt tone.

"I know that voice anywhere." He thought before turning around to confirm his suspicion.

Standing just before him, wearing an all black tactical suit, was Ada Wong. The only thing that really stood out from her all black suit, was a red butterfly design on the right sleeve of her short sleeve form fitted shirt.

Leon eyed Ada with caution as she approached him with a smile on her face.

"Ada, what are you doing here? I know that it's not to help any survivors." He asked her with an accusing tone.

Ada just smirked at him before answering. "You're only half right, Leon. I've been helping as many people as I can for the past few days, but not everyone likes to listen to a stranger. Not even one that has experience with this kind of situation. So many of those people have died because they didn't want to listen. However, I've managed to get others away from the city before it went on lock down. Since then I've been looking for... a friend of mine." She explained while Leon just listened to her with skepticism.

"It's been a few days since we lost contact with each other. I honestly hope he's alright, but he's tough. So I know he'll be ok." She finished while looking out at the ruined city before looking at Leon again.

Leon, still skeptical, just kept his eyes on her before deciding to speak.

"So, who is this friend of yours? Is he another one of Wesker's former agents? I bet he's been looking for work since Wesker kicked the bucket." He assumed with an accusatory tone, but Ada just continued to smirk and shook her head.

"No, Leon. He's not one of Wesker's. He would've been too young at that point. He's a young agent for his age, however. He's a little older now, but no. He's with his own group. A group that I'm proud to say that I'm part of. And I haven't regretted my decision to join him. Not like other decisions I've made in the past." She explains while walking up to him before placing a hand on his chest.

"And him? Heh... Well, let's just say that he has a way to see right through you in a short amount of time, or once he gets to know you well enough at least." She continues to explain as she looks up at Leon. "I've never let people get too close before, Leon. Not even you, even though I consider you a friend." She admits which shocks him.

Ada lowers her head before continuing. "But... I took a chance and... I let him get close. Too close than I have ever let anyone before." She pauses before looking back up at Leon with the first genuine smile that he has ever seen on her.

"I took a chance, Leon, and I have not regretted it since. He's become one of my greatest friends I've ever made in my life and that's saying something." She finished with a bright smile.

Leon, still a little unsure, decided to play along for the moment and shrugged with a smile of his own. "What about me, Ada? Aren't I a good friend? Considering everything we've been through together?" He asked her with genuine curiosity, but also a little jealousy.

Who was she talking about? It certainly didn't sound like a person that's out to see the world burned.

Ada smirked and gently patted his cheek before backing away.

"We have been through a lot, Leon. And we always find our way back to each other no matter where we are in the world. But if you want me to be honest. You're a close second. You've saved my life just as I've saved yours, but he and I have met on multiple occasions now and he's saved me from situations that I'll honestly say that I wouldn't have been able to get out of if it weren't for him." She said looking up at the sky with her eyes closed before looking over at Leon, who had a slight look of hurt on his face, which made her giggle.

"Leon, I speak fondly of him, but I'm not in love with him if that's what you're thinking right now. Don't be jealous." She teased with a wink and a smirk as he looked at her with a deadpan scowl.

He looked away and snorted, making her giggle again, before looking back at her. "So, who is this mystery friend of yours? He certainly doesn't sound like someone who wants to bring the while world to its knees. He must be someone you really trust and care about if you're speaking this highly of him." He questions her with genuine curiosity.

Ada said nothing at first, she just smiles and shrugs.

"If we're both here long enough, Leon, I'm sure we'll bump into him sooner or later. And believe me, he may surprise you." She simply says before walking past Leon towards the gate. "Now, we better get going. The longer we stay here chatting the more lives that are lost."

Leon stood in place for a moment before nodding and turned around to follow Ada, but finds that she disappeared.

Shaking his head with a sigh, Leon smiled.

"Women." He mumbled before walking towards the gate to enter the city and begin his mission.

With Vincent and Souichiro...

Souichiro escorted Vincent over to one of the military vehicles and both were about to hop inside, until they and the men heard rumblings in the distance.

Souichiro and Vincent turned in the direction of the rumblings as the men surrounded them and readied their weapons to fire on any threat.

"Your men aren't going to be able to handle what's coming. If you want me to help Jack then we need to leave now. Like right now." Vincent said to Souichiro who turned his head to look at the young man as the rumblings were getting louder and closer.

"What are your orders Lord Takagi?!" One of the men shouted.

Souichiro looked at his men then back to Vincent who had a look of urgency on his face. After a breif moment of pause, Souichiro spoke. "Are you certain that none of us here can handle whatever is making those sounds?" He asked.

Vincent shook his head. "I can handle it myself, but it would take too much time. And you're telling me that Jack is dying. Which do you want to do? Fight a monster? Or save Jack?" He answered with questions of his own.

Souichiro quickly made his decision. "Pull back men! Pull back now! We don't have time!" He ordered as his men instantly lowered their weapons and hurried to their own vehicles.

After a moment the engines of all the vehicles fired up and quickly took off back towards the Takagi Estate.

After reaching a certain distance, thanks to his heightened senses, Vincent briefly heard a guttural voice that he was certain that he had silenced.

"STARS..."

"Fuck..." He whispered.

Takagi Estate, 1 hour later...

Vincent, Souichiro and his men pulled up to the gate of the Estate as one of his men shouted to one of the guards.

"Open the gate! Open the gate now!" The man shouted as the gate was quickly opened. The vehicles then quickly pulled in, but before they head to the parking garages, Vincent and Souichiro both hopped out of the vehicles and ran up towards the entrance of mansion.

Walking in, Vincent could see a woman quickly running down the steps of the mansion and crashed into Souichiro, but the man didn't even stumble. He just a step back and embraced the woman who had flung herself at him.

"Souichiro, dear, did you find him? Did you find Vincent Thorne? Please tell me you found him." She pleaded with desperation.

Souichiro just nodded and looked over at Vincent making the woman look over at him with tears building up in her eyes as she walked over to him slowly. She gently took his hands and held them close to her chest.

"Young man, please. Save him. Save Jack. I love him like a son just as I love my daughter. Please help him." She pleaded with her lips trembling.

Vincent said nothing and just nodded. "Take me to him, Lady Takagi." He said simply.

Yuriko nodded and, with Vincent's hand still in her grasp, lead him up the stairs to Jack's room.

Just as she and Vincent were about to walk into the room, Souichiro called out to them.

"Wait." He said walking up to them while keeping his stoic cold gaze on Vincent.

"You said to me before we left that I may not like how you help Jack. What did you mean by that?" He asked him.

Vincent, for a brief moment, looked conflicted before he answered. "I could go into full detail of what I meant what I told you. And if I do, it will take too much time and Jack will continue to suffer until I do what I have to." Vincent said looking at both the wife and husband, who both had looks of uncertainty.

"I just want to know one thing, Vincent-san." Yuriko suddenly spoke which made both men look at the woman.

"What's that?" He asked.

Yuriko said nothing as she hardened her gaze and got close to Vincent's face.

"What you plan to do. Will it save him?" She asked.

"Yes." He answered simply.

"Then that's all that matters to me." She said before looking at her husband. "That's all that matters, Souichiro. Right?" She asked the man.

Souichiro looked conflicted while looking back and forth between Vincent and his wife.

After a moment he grunted and nodded his head. Yuriko grasped Vincent's hand again and opened the door leading him to Jack, who was still lying down on the bed with Saeko lying down next to him.

"Saeko-chan?" Yuriko called out to the girl, who lifted her head up to see Yuriko, Souichiro and a handsome looking young man walking into the room.

"Yuriko-san? Souichiro-san? What are you doing? Who's that?" She asked them in confusion as they walked over to the bed.

Vincent walked over to Jack's left side of the bed and looked over his vital signs that were displayed on the monitors beside the bed.

Saeko watched Vincent carefully as Yuriko caught her attention. "Saeko-chan, we're going to need you off the bed for a moment." She said to the young girl who snapped her head in Yuriko's direction with confusion on her face.

"What? Why?" Saeko asked her in shock.

Yuriko looked to her husband before looking down to the floor then back to Saeko. "That young man there?" She began pointing to Vincent. Saeko nodded.

"He's here to help. He's going to save Jack." She explained to her before Saeko looked back at Vincent with hope in her eyes.

"Is... Is that true? Can you save him?" She asked him with a shaky tone.

Vincent just nodded before answering. "Yes, I can, but like I told Souichiro I'm going to tell you. You're not going to like how I do it." He said to her which made her tilt her head in confusion.

"Why? What are you going to do?" She asks.

And then, to their surprise, Vincent's eyes turned from steel gray to a bright red. "In order for me to save him, I have to give him what I have. But only in a small, a very small, dose. If I give him too much it could turn him into something worse, much worse. But the virus I was born with is stronger than whatever is in his bloodstream right now, it will kill it instantly. I know how this sounds, and I understand the risk, but if you want him to be saved, this is what we have to do. You don't have many options here and not enough time to find another solution." He explained.

"No! Absolutely not! I won't risk you turning him into something worse than a zombie, an undead or whatever! I won't let you do it!" Saeko shouted as she quickly grabbed her wooden katana and pointed it at him with a tearful glare.

Vincent remained unfazed as Yuriko put a calming hand on her shoulder while Souichiro looked on.

"Saeko-chan, I understand how you feel. I don't like it either. I don't want to risk him turning into something worse than what we've been facing these past few days, but... but we have to do something. If we don't, then Jack will die. I don't want that. Souichiro-kun doesn't want that. And I know for a fact that you don't want that. We have to take the risk." She says to the trembling girl before looking over at Vincent. "And it's better to have known the risk than not know it until afterwards. I would rather someone be honest with us instead of giving us a false hope. And Vincent-san let us know before doing anything. I think that should be enough to have some faith in him. Don't you?" She asks looking back at Saeko whose hands trembled as she continued to glare at Vincent.

After a moment Saeko dropped her glare as tears just flowed down her cheeks, but she never took her eyes off Vincent.

"Will this save him?" She asked.

Vincent nodded. "I promise it will. I know exactly how much of my blood to give him. This will save him." He answered.

Saeko looked at Yuriko and Souichiro with uncertainty. Yuriko nodded while Souichiro took a moment to decide before looking to the girl and nodded.

Saeko looked back towards Vincent and nodded. "Do it." She said simply.

Vincent nodded and walked closer to Jack. He placed a hand on his left arm and gently shook him. "Jack? Jack, can you hear me? Wake up." He said to him.

Jack groaned and opened one eye to see Saeko, Yuriko and Souichiro standing on his right before looking over at Vincent who stood on his left.

Jack looked briefly relieved to see Vincent again and managed a small smile.

"V-Vince-ent..." He painfully managed to say as Vincent leaned closer to him.

"Don't talk, Jack. I just need you to listen. I have a way to purge your bloodstream of the virus. I have to give you some of my blood, but I can only give you a small enough dose to kill the virus." He explained to Jack who looked shocked for a brief moment before wincing in pain before he nodded in understanding as he listened.

"But I have to let you know, Jack. While my blood will kill all traces of the virus it will be a painful process. Hopefully it will be quick, but where you've had the virus in your system I'm assuming for a few days, it's probably going to take a while for my blood to purge your system. Do you understand?" He asked him.

Jack nodded and struggled to speak. "D-Do... it..." He strained making Vincent nod.

Vincent stepped away from the bed for a moment and walked over to Souichiro and looked at the mans katana before looking back at him.

"May I?" He asked. Souichiro didn't look too sure for a moment, but quickly put his suspicions aside and hesitantly handed Vincent his katana.

As Vincent grabbed hold of the sword Souichiro tugged lightly which made Vincent look at him with confusion. "I will be having this back." Souichiro warned.

"I'm not going to keep it, Takagi-san. Just trust me." Vincent said to him as Yuriko placed a hand on her husbands arm.

"Souichiro, dear, please. We don't have time for this." She said to him calmly.

"Hmph." The man grunted and let go of the blade as Vincent walked back over to the side of the bed.

"Alright, Jack. You ready?" He asked him.

Jack just nodded.

"Alright." Vincent said as he slowly removed the bandage that covered the area where Jack was initially infected.

Vincent pulled the katana out of its sheath and grasped the blade with his hand. And with a slight tug Vincent cut his hand but kept his grasp on the blade to keep itself from healing too quickly.

Slowly releasing his grip on the blade and pulling the blade away from his hand, Vincent let a single drop of his blood fall from his hand to the infected area where Jack had been pierced.

Vincent quickly pulled his hand away after the drop of blood landed on the infected area to keep any more drops from entering Jack's system.

For a brief moment the drop of blood linger on top of the infected area before seemingly developing a mind of its own and enter the small gaping hole in Jack's shoulder.

It wasn't long after when Jack began to jerk and thrash around from the sudden pain he felt throughout his body.

Vincent, expecting this, dropped the katana to the floor and hopped on top of the bed to hold Jack down.

"Help me hold him down! We don't need him hurting himself!" He shouted to the 3 other people in the room with him who quickly surrounded Vincent to help him keep Jack from thrashing around too much and keep him from hurting himself.

Before long, Jack began to shout, holler and scream in pain as Vincent's blood went to work on the virus and purge it from Jack's system.

Jack and Saeko's group, hearing Jack's shouts of pain from another part in the mansion, burst into the room to Saeko, Yuriko, Souichiro and a stranger on top of Jack holding him down against the bed.

"What the hell is going on here?! Who is that and what are you guys doing to Jack?!" Takashi shouted at them as he ran over to try and pry the stranger off of Jack.

"Get off, Takashi! We're trying to help Jack!" Saeko shouted at him, but Takashi looked at her in confusion while still trying to get Vincent off of his friend.

"Help him?! He's in here screaming to high heaven and you're saying that you're trying to help him?! What the fuck did this guy do to him?!" He shouted back at her in anger before freezing in fear when Vincent snapped his head in his direction with a glare while his eyes pierced through him with a blazing red glow.

"Back. Off." Vincent warned him as Takashi stumbled backwards in fear.

Hirano, Rei and Alice rushed over to him as he looked up at Vincent in fear while Vincent turned his gaze back to Jack.

"Jack? Jack! Listen to me!" He said to the young man as he continued to thrash around and scream in pain while he and the others held him down.

"Jack, listen! I know it's hurts! It's painful, I know! But it will pass! You just have to bear with it for now, but don't focus on the pain! Focus on something else! Or someone else! Think of something and focus on that! Don't focus on the pain!" He shouts as Jack, listening to his advice, began to think of his friends, his family, but most importantly, Saeko.

While Jack was still struggling against the others, he eventually began to calm down as his thoughts focused on Saeko.

After a while Jack lost consciousness, but unlike before, where he didn't risk falling asleep, his chest began to rise and fall evenly, letting everyone know that he had soundly fallen asleep. Vincent let out a deep breath and eased his grip on Jack before hopping off the bed as Takashi and the rest of his group watched him closely.

"Will he be alright now, boy?" Souichiro asked him as Vincent picked up the katana, cleaned the blade with his remaining piece of fabric that was his shirt and handed it back to the man with a nod.

"Yeah, he'll be fine. The virus in my blood is at work right now getting rid of the rest of whatever was trying to turn him and the worst is behind him. All he's going to do right now is rest while his system is being purged. He'll be a bit groggy and sluggish when he wakes up, but that's to be expected from what he and his body has went through." Vincent explained to both he and Yuriko.

Yuriko quickly walked over to him and embraced him in a tight hug which shocked Vincent. "Thank you." She whispered.

Vincent said nothing and just nodded as she let him go from her hug and walked over to stand beside Saeko, who was now lying back down beside Jack, who unconsciously turned his head in her direction and pressed his forehead against hers.

Souichiro said nothing and just nodded before offering Vincent his hand.

Vincent grasped the mans hand and shook it firmly before looking back over at Jack. "Do you have someone that can stay in here to keep an eye on him?" He asked.

"We do." Souichiro answered simply. Vincent looked back towards the man. "Who?" He asked.

Souichiro, again, said nothing and just pointed at Saeko, who clung to Jack and placed a kiss on his forehead as she held his hand tightly in her grasp.

"I love you, Jack. I'll never leave you." She whispered as Yuriko caressed her head softly while her and Jack's group surrounded the bed and watched the scene with relief.

Vincent, understanding what Souichiro means, nodded his head. "I understand." He said simply before looking back at the man.

"Listen, I don't mean to sound rude or selfish and I'm not trying to ask for anything in return, but I don't know where else to go at the moment, so if you have a bedroom to spare or anything I'd greatly appreciate it. If not then-" He began to say but was cut off.

"We have plenty of room young man. You're welcome to one of the rooms in the mansion." Yuriko said to him from the bed as she stood up and walked back over to him.

"You saved him. And we're forever indebted to you. You helped us, of course we're going to help you in return even if you weren't going to ask for it. You are free to stay here for as long as you like." She said to him with smile and a hand on his shoulder.

Vincent didn't like asking anything n return for helping someone, but he was grateful all the same. He nodded with a smile.

"Souichiro, dear, please show him to one of the rooms. But make sure it's close to Jack's in case we need him." She said to her husband who nodded and grunted at Vincent to follow him.

As he and Souichiro left the room, Saya walked over to her mother and tapped her shoulder.

Yuriko turned around to look at her daughter. "Hmm? What is it, Saya-chan?" She asked her.

Saya adjusted her glasses and huffed. "Now that everything has settled down, mother, I think you owe us some answers." She stated simply as Yuriko just sighed.

She was expecting this.

"Yes, Saya-chan?" She asked her and Saya wasted no time with her next words.

"Who the hell was THAT and what were you all doing in here to Jack?" She asked her.

Yuriko just sighed again before gaining a relieved smile on her face.

Somewhere in the city, with Ada...

Ada walked the deserted ruined streets of the city and payed close attention to her surroundings as she walked up to what looked like a pawn shop.

"Hmm, if the intel from the security footage is right, this is the location of the first victim before the outbreak." She thought as she stepped carefully into the ruined shop to avoid making too much noise.

She walked around carefully and cautiously as she looked around for any evidence to use against Umbrella if they have indeed come back.

She eventually stumbled up what used to look like a cocoon that had been ruptured from the inside.

"What in the hell is this?" She wondered as she cautiously walked up to the yellowish green looking grotesque cocoon with her pistol in her hands.

As she walked closer, there looked to be nothing inside it, but she kept her guard up to be safe.

"I wonder just what the hell popped out of this thing? I hope those zombies haven't figured out how to mate." She wondered with a shudder before kneeling down close to the cocoon to examine the gooey ooze seeping out of it.

"Hmm... maybe I can use this to figure what strain of the virus this is and send it back to base. Maybe it will help us find out a way to stop this." She thought as she put her pistol away and pulled out a device from her miniature backpack that examines the contents in the virus and tells her what strain of the virus that is plaguing the city.

She puts the device near the ooze as it sucks it up and begins to examine the contents inside.

"Alright, there's only two strains that have been made public knowledge. The T and G strains. Considering everything that's been happening, I'm willing to bet that it's the T strain. It is the original after all. So why not use the strain that caused the mansion incident in the Arklay Mountains?" She wonders as the device continues to examine the virus.

Beepbeepbeep!

The device signaled it completion of the examination, but the results were not what Ada was expecting.

"Wait... what?!" She whispered in shock at the results.

"It's a new strain?!"
