"Wake up." said Emberpaw irritably.

She and Heronpaw should have been on the dawn patrol by now.

"W-what?" grumbled Heronpaw. Emberpaw gave up, and jumped on top of him.

"WAKE UP!" she yelled in his ear. Heronpaw jumped, and pushed her off.

"Don't do that!" he said, scowling.

"Then don't stay asleep so long." she responded tartly.

She walked off towards where the patrol consisting of Patchfoot and Sharpclaw were waiting.

"Alert the medicine cat. Heronpaw is in a coma."

"No, I'm not!" he cried, running to the patrol.

"Let's go." Sharpclaw growled, clearly frustrated with their antics. They moved off.

"Hawkwing told me to tell you that Darktail will be training with you again." Patchfoot said amiably.

"Okay." she said.

"Lunge! Jump! Claws out!" Darktail was shouting orders across the clearing. "Okay, that's good for now."

Emberpaw heaved a breath. "Really, you're not too bad at this. You have a thin, lithe body, which would fit well in small spaces." "Thanks." Emberpaw muttered.

"Unfortunately, there's not many of these in the gorge." "Oh, there's plenty." she said, her guard up.

"Oh, yeah!" shouted Smokepaw across the hollow.

Don't, oh, don't, oh, please please don't. She thought desperately.

"There's one that leads from the elders' den to the top of the gorge, actually." Emberpaw thought Darktail looked way too interested.

Sorry! Another filler chapter. Don't worry, this is the last one.
