Chapter 44: If I Just Lay Here, Would You Lie with Me and Just Forget the World?

Leora looked between Lucas and Miles as they argued about who looked better. Another student had made the comment that they both cleaned up nicely. They were being extra ridiculous about it as they were wearing similar suits. Artie was laughing at them.

"No way, I'm the good looking twin," Miles said.

"You're tripping, I look way better than you, right Artie," Lucas said, turning to his boyfriend.

"No way, he's biased," Miles said, "he's seen you naked that's not fair."

"Stop?" Lucas said, his cheeks going red.

"Don't be such a prude, but it's unfair to ask Artie, he likes you more than me," Miles argued.

"I mean he's not wrong, I do like you more than him," Artie chuckled, pulling Lucas close. Lucas' blush deepened as he

"Ok, let's move on," Leora said, cutting Miles off. She could sense Lucas was uncomfortable with the conversation.

"Come on, let's dance," Lucas said, pulling Artie away to the dance floor.

"Wanna dance?" Leora asked him with a smile.

"Sure, but I gotta use the bathroom first," Miles said, his eyes darting across the gym. Leora tried to follow his gaze, but she couldn't tell what he was looking at. "Go join the other two. I'll be right back."

She watched as he ran off. She didn't see what he had been looking at before. She had an inkling on who it was, but she didn't want to think about that.

She sighed before turning and making her way to the dance floor. She joined Lucas and Artie who were dancing with Layla, Erika, and Millie as well. They were all laughing and goofing off.

"Where's Miles?" Lucas asked.

"Bathroom," Leora said. Lucas arched a brow at her.

"Then dance with us darling," Artie laughed, pulling her close. Leora giggled as they danced together.

—Happy Mistakes—

Kyle headed back inside. He made his way down the hall, bypassing the gym. He leaned back against the wall, covering his face in his hands. Everyone just needed to leave him alone. Kyle took a few calming breaths. He had another hour of this crap before he could leave.

His chest felt tight. His knees felt weak. He slid until he was sitting on the floor. The world was closing in on him. It was getting darker and harder to breathe. His heart felt like it was about to beat right out of his chest. He could feel it thumping so hard.

"Hey."

Kyle looked up as a dark figure made its way towards him. He couldn't quite make out who it was. The voice was familiar, but his brain couldn't decipher who it was.

Kyle opened his mouth but no words came out. He couldn't focus on anything other than the pounding of his heart. Why was it so dark? Was the room spinning? He felt like he was suffocating.

"Are you ok?"

Kyle shook his head. He couldn't speak. A hand on his chin made him look up. He came face to face with Miles.

"Take a breath," Miles said, grabbing his hand. He brought it up to his chest over his heart. He took a deep breath. "Come on, match me."

Kyle took a deep breath with him. He tried to match his breathing. Miles leaned in until their foreheads were touching.

"Just breathe. It's ok, that's all you gotta focus on," Miles said softly.

Slowly his breathing began to regulate and he was able to match Miles. He closed his eyes as he tried to ground himself. He could feel the steady beat of Miles' heart under his finger tips. His breath ghosted over him, smelling of punch and something citriusy that was uniquely Miles.

He looked up at Miles. Kyle's tongue darted out to lick his lips. He watched as Miles' eyes tracked the movement. Without hesitation he leaned in and sealed their lips together pulling Miles down to him. Miles slid into his lap. They got together perfectly, like they were made for each other. Their lips slid together perfectly, eliciting a small moan from the blonde.

Kyle pulled Miles closer. He had missed this, as much as he hated to admit it. It was like he could breathe again. His body reacted of his own accord. It felt like everything was good again. His dull grey world was back in full color.

Miles slid his tongue against past his lips. His hands started to wander. Kyle let go. Do as he pleased, he could resist anymore. Miles kissed along his jaw to his ear. Kyle tilted his head to the side as Miles' lips hit that spot behind his ear that had him squirming.

"Wait," Kyle said, finding his voice.

Miles jumped back from him, as if he had been shocked. He looked down at Kyle, his eyes wide. Miles slid from his lap shaking his head.

"Kyle," Miles said, placing a hand over his mouth.

Kyle slipped away from him. He scooted across the floor. He shook his head.

"I'm sorry," Kyle said quickly. He scrambled to his feet. He turned and bolted from the hallway. He suddenly felt sick to his stomach.

He ran to the bathroom. He ran to the last stall and emptied his stomach. He sat there for a moment, his mind racing.

He stood and headed to the sink. He splashed water on his face. He gargled some water too trying to get the bad taste out of his mouth.

The door opened and Martin Hollis entered. Kyle groaned as he stood up. He turned as Martin cornered him against the sink.

"You and Mitchell can't seem to keep your hands to yourself," Martin said, waving his phone around.

"What do you want, Hollis," Kyle asked angrily. He saw a video of him and Miles in the hallway from a few minutes ago. His face fell. "Delete that, that's a total invasion of privacy," he said angrily.

"Well if you wanted privacy you shouldn't have been pawing at each other in the hallway where anyone could see you," Martin said.

"What do you want," Kyle asked.

"I was a piece of the action," Martin said.

"No," Kyle said quickly.

"I don't think you're in a position to say no," Martin said, advancing on the blonde. "One word and your sister is the first to see this picture."

"Don't-" Kyle started.

"I thought so," Martin said, smirking at him.

Kyle suddenly felt helpless. He didn't want Leora finding out this way. He should be the one to tell her, not this dumb kid. He wanted his fifteen minutes of fame.

Kyle's mouth floundered as he tried to find an excuse to escape this situation. Martin was looking at him with that evil glint in his eyes, like he was just a piece of meat.

"Look, I'm here. You're about to get your crown, why can't that be enough?" Kyle asked, backing up. He really didn't want to do this.

"That was the old deal, before I had actual proof. Now that I've got this," Martin said, waving his phone around. "New deal."

"That's-" Kyle started as Martin closed in on him. He stopped as he hit the sink.

"Or I could send this to your sister," Martin said with a shrug.

"No, don't," Kyle said quickly. "Please don't."

"That's what I thought, now you're gonna do as I say," Martin said.

Jake smiled as he watched Damien play with Eli. The two were laying on the floor for some tummy time. Eli was having a blast and Damien was playing peek-a-boo. Eli was laughing so hard. It was adorable. His smile grew as he realized just a few months ago he wouldn't have even been enjoying this moment.

Over the last few months he had been seeing a therapist and taking medication. He was learning to feel again, and it was awesome. He wasn't going to miss any more moments with Eli.

"Jake?"

Jake looked up from Eli to Damien. He stood and crossed the room. He sat down beside Damien.

"Just thinking," Jake said softly. He looked down at Eli. "I'm happy, truly."

"Well that's good," Damien replied. He sat up and looked at him, "you'll tell me if you get low again?" He asked.

"Yeah, I don't even wanna feel like that again," Jake said.

"I don't want you to feel like that," Damien said.

"Thanks," Jake said smiling.

"So, dads got a late night at the office, how about we pack up and go get a bite to eat," Damien asked.

"You wanna go to Hills and show off Eli don't you," Jake asked.

"Duh, I'm finally off weight restrictions and will be back to work fully soon. I want everyone to get a chance to see Ei because he's adorable," Damien said, scooping the infant up into his arms.

"He is super adorable," Jake replied.

"So dinner date? You, me, and Eli?" Damien asked.

"Sounds fun," Jake grinned.

"Awesome," Damien said.

Jake stood and took Eli so Damien could stand up. They started getting ready to go. As they were heading to the door Steve entered the apartment.

"Oh hey dad, I thought you had a late night at the office," Damien greeted him.

"I dipped, I wasn't going to sit there and listen to the associates argue any longer," Steve sighed.

"Wanna join us for dinner? Damien wants to go show Eli to all the girls at work," Jake said.

"Why not," Steve shrugged.

—Happy Mistakes—

Miles made his way down the hallway. He was looking for Kyle. He needed to find Kyle. He had to make this right. He needed to tell him this was over. They couldn't keep doing this. Or could they? He could break up with Leora and Kyle could leave Jared. That's all they needed to do to make this work.

Kyle wasn't in the gym or outside. He was probably in the bathroom hiding. Miles didn't blame him one bit.

He entered the bathroom and saw Kyle at the sink with Martin Hollis, the head of the prom committee. Martin had Kyle shoved up against the sink with his hands shoved down his pants. Kyle squirmed uncomfortably.

"Stop please," Kyle said as Martin started to trail kisses down his neck. He opened his eyes and saw Miles. He locked eyes with him. Miles saw the desperation on his face.

"What the fuck, get off him," Miles said glaring at Martin. He pulled the younger boy off Kyle.

"His phone," Kyle croaked, "he saw us."

"Give me your phone," Miles said as Martin tried to slip past him. He grabbed the younger boy slamming him up against the wall.

"Like I haven't already sent it to someone," Martin said with a grin.

"You're a real piece of work," Miles spat.

"I'm not the one who's cheating," Martin said, "with my girlfriend's brother."

"No you're the piece of shit who forces himself on others," Miles said. He quickly drew back his arm and punched Martin in the jaw. He grabbed Kyle's arm and led him out of the bathroom.

"Miles, he's got a photo-" Kyle started.

"Fuck him, it was dark he couldn't see us and I didn't see a flash," Miles said. He led Kyle past the gym and outside. He didn't stop until they reached his car. He turned to the blonde. "Are you ok?"

"I didn't know what to do," Kyle said, wrapping his arms around himself. "He was threatening to tell Leora and I panicked. I just…I should be the one to tell her, not that jerkoff."

"Come on," Miles said, urging the blonde into his car. He pulled his phone out and texted Leora that something had come up. He quickly got into the driver's seat.

"What are you doing?" Kyle asked.

"I don't know," Miles admitted. "Seeing him do that to you…are you ok?"

"I guess," Kyle shrugged.

Miles reached over and grabbed Kyle's hand. "I'm sorry. I am sorry for everything. I never meant to let it get this far, but I do love you."

"What about-" Kyle started.

"I've been over her for a long time, I only went with her because you pushed me away. I thought if I started seeing her these feelings would go away and we could just be friends again," Miles said.

"We can't just be friends," Kyle said slowly.

"No, we can't," Miles agreed.

"So now what?" Kyle asked.

"What happened with you and Martin?" Miles asked.

"He blackmailed me into coming to prom. He caught us sneaking away not too long ago. He didn't have proof until tonight. He seemed to think that I just made out with anyone. He had that picture and I just…I panicked and let him do what he wanted," Kyle said looking down at his lap.

"Kyle," Miles said.

"I know, I know I'm so pathetic I couldn't even stop him," Kyle said, tears gathering in his eyes.

"No you're not," Miled said, squeezing his hand. "Honestly if I had been in your position I probably would've been the same, but seeing him with his hands on you, I saw red."

"Thanks, by the way," Kyle said looking out the window now. "If you hadn't shown up, who knows what would have happened."

"I've got your back," Miles said tugging softly on his hand. Kyle turned to look at him. "Ride or die. Always."

"Thanks," Kyle said.

"I mean it. I will always be there for you no matter what," Miles said.

"I know," Kyle said.

The two lapsed into silence as Miles drove. Miles wasn't even sure what they were doing.

He just needed to put as much distance between them and Martin. Seeing Martin do that to Kyle had made his blood boil. Admittedly, he shouldn't have punched the other boy, but he didn't think about it. It was a snap decision. He was a pig.

Miles stole a glance over at Kyle. He seemed in his own little world of thought. He was probably replaying the night events too.

"Where are we even going?" Kyle asked, breaking the silence.

"I don't know, I just wanted to get you as far away from Martin as possible," Miles said, "I don't really have a plan. I just don't want him near you. I want you here with me."

"I wanna be with you," Kyle said.

"Good," Miles said, bringing Kyle's hand up to his lips.

—Happy Mistakes—

"What do you mean he left?" Lucas asked, confused. Leora held out her phone for him to see a text from Miles.

"What the hell?" Lucas said with a frown.

"I don't know," Leora said, tears threatening to spill.

Lucas softened his expression at that. He pulled her aside to a table with Artie following them.

"There has to be a reason," Lucas said.

"What reason is there to ditch your girlfriend at prom?" Leora asked.

"None," Artie said.

"Not helping," Lucas said, shooting Artie a small glare. Artie put his hands up. "Maybe he spilled on himself and wanted to go get a clean shirt."

"Yeah right, Miles spills on himself all the time and never notices," Leora said.

"True," Lucas sighed.

He paused as he thought about it. What could possibly have happened that made Miles leave so abruptly.

"You know, I'm starting to get sick of this back and forth thing Miles is doing to you, Leora," Artie said, taking a seat next to her.

"You and me both," Leora said with a frown. "If he's not interested he should have just told me. Why draw this out?"

"He adores you," Lucas said quickly.

"He used to," Artie said, "something has changed lately. He's been acting so strangely."

"So I'm not the only one who sees it?" Leora asked.

"I'm gonna text him, somethings up. He's gotta have a reason for just taking off," Lucas said, pulling his phone out. He quickly started texting Miles.

"Don't worry about it Lu," Leora said, placing a hand over his. "I'm not gonna let this ruin my night. If he wants to be a jerk let him."

"Yes, let's not waste the night being angry," Artie said smiling.

—Happy Mistakes—

Kyle gasped as his back hit his door. Miles pinned him back and smashed their lips together. Kyle clung to the small boy. Their kiss was filthy all tongue and teeth. It turned him on to no end.

He had led Miles up to his bedroom. They had snuck into his dads house. The renovations were all down stairs. This was some place they could go and not worry about getting caught.

Kyle gasped as their hips pressed together. He felt just how turned on Miles was. He needed to get him alone now.

Kyle grabbed the door knob and opened the door. They fell into the bedroom barely managing to stay on their feet. Laughter filled the air as they caught their balance.

"Some warning would have been nice," Miles laughed.

"Hard to talk with your tongue down my throat," Kyle retorted.

"Are you complaining," Miles asked.

"Not at all," Kyle said as he pushed Miles back to his bed. He shoved him until he was sitting.

"What are-" Miles stopped talking as Kyle dropped to his knees.

Kyle quickly opened his pants and pulled them down enough to expose his rock hard erection. Kyle was on him in seconds taking him all the way down.

"Fuck," Miles grunted.

Kyle bobbed his head expertly. He knew just what to do to drive Miles mad with want. He pulled off and lapped at the head earning more pretty whines from the boy above him.

"Dude I'm gonna come," Miles groaned.

"That's the point," Kyle said looking up at him.

Miles shook his head. He urged the blonde up into his lap. He quickly started on the buttons on Kyle's shirt. Kyle caught on and worked his open as well.

Soon clothing was being flung everywhere. Kyle wrestled Miles out of his pants. Miles laughed as Kyle tugged his socks off too, tossing them aside.

"Why are clothes so difficult?" Kyle asked as he looked down at Miles who was left in just underwear with his dick out.

"Don't know, but I think you're a bit overdressed," Miles said, reaching up to open the blondes' pants.

Kyle jumped up and quickly finished taking his clothes off. Miles slid his underwear off as he watched the blonde strip.

He joined Miles on the bed once he was naked. He smashed their lips together again as he settled himself between the brunette's open legs.

"Are we really doing this?" Miles asked.

"Yeah, I wanna be with you. I can't loose you, Miles. This week without you was hell, I don't wanna do that ever again," Kyle said, pressing their lips together.

This kiss was a bit softer than the last. It held raw emotion that neither of them expected. Kyle wanted Miles to know that he cared about him. This wasn't a one off thing anymore. He was all in.

Kyle reached between them and grabbed both their erections. He used the precise that was dripping between them as lube. He stroked them both. Miles' head fell back with a groan. Kyle kissed and nibbled at his neck.

"I want you Miles," Kyle said.

"Fuck, I want you too," Miles said.

Kyle surged forward and kissed him again. Their teeth clanked and tongues dueled. It was hot and heavy. It was everything Kyle had been craving.

He slid off Miles and moved to his bedside drawer. He dug around until he found some lube and a condom. He turned back to Miles who was watching him intently. Kyle smirked as he coated his fingers with lube.

Miles swallowed thickly as he watched Kyle. Kyle leaned back and brought a finger down to his own entrance. He slid a finger in with a hiss.

"Oh fuck," Miles said his eyes darting downward.

Kyle smirked as he added a second finger. He watched as Miles grabbed his own dick and squeezed the base. Kyle bit his lip as he worked himself open, moaning as he hit his prostate. He put on a show for Miles.

"Dude," Miles said, his voice rough with arousal. His hand was slowly moving up and down his dick.

"You gonna sit there all night or put that condom on?" Kyle asked snarkily.

Miles snapped out of his daze. He snatched the condom and slid it on. Kyle removed his fingers and grabbed the lube. He coated Miles and laid back. Miles moved between his open legs. He positioned himself.

"Wait," Kyle said quickly. He put a hand on Miles's shoulder. Miles looked up at him questioningly. "I've never…I mean…I haven't done this before. Just go slow."

"What do you mean you never?" Miles asked, confused.

"I've never been fucked, I've been fingered but never had…a…yeah," Kyle said looking away from Miles his cheeks red. "But I want you to do it."

"This isn't gonna last very long," Miles said as he lined himself up once more.

"That'll make two of us," Kyle replied.

Miles chuckled as he leaned in and kissed the blonde. Kyle wiggled his hips, Miles dick catching his rim. Miles gasped, and pushed forward. The tip slid in and Kyle gasped in pain. That was definitely bigger than a few fingers.

"Dude," Miles said.

"Don't stop," Kyle said, wrapping his legs around Miles. He pulled him closer forcing him deeper into him.

Miles groaned as he bottomed out. He remained still as he let Kyle adjust to the intrusion. Kyle relaxed and took a few breaths.

"Ok, you need to move before I go crazy," Kyle said.

Miles didn't need to be told twice. He pulled out and thrust back in, slow and steady. He seemed to be trying to keep his orgasm at bay. Kyle however had other ideas. He thrust his hips up to meet Miles.

"Fuck, there," Kyle gasped.

The two started to rock together. Kyle pulled Miles down into a bruising kiss. He gasped as Miles hit that spot within that had him seeing stars. He gasped and moaned, clinging to Miles. The pain was almost completely gone now. All he felt was the intense pleasure Miles was giving him.

"Fuck your so tight," Miles gasped as his thrusts became sloppy.

He was close Kyle could tell. Kyle was close to coming himself. Miles reached between them grabbing his dick. Kyle arched up into his touch as he orgasm ripped through him. He jerked his hips and he thrust up into Miles hand and back onto his dick. Miles grunted as his orgasm hit next. Kyle jerked as he came down from his high, Miles gasped and continued to rut against the blonde until he became too sensitive.

Miles hissed as he slipped out of the blonde. He fell on the bed beside him. Kyle rolled onto his side looking at Miles. Miles looked over at him with a lazy grin.

"That was amazing," Miles said.

"Yeah, you are," Kyle said smiling. Miles' face flushed as he looked away.

"I can't feel my legs, they are like jelly," Miles said.

"Stay here, I'll go get something to clean up," Kyle chuckled.

He rolled out of bed. He made his way to the bathroom. He quickly washed himself off before grabbing a fresh rag for Miles. He got it wet and made his way back to Miles, who was already half asleep.

"Here," Kyle said, tossing the rag onto his stomach.

"Cold," Miles yelped in surprise.

Kyle laughed as he climbed into bed. "Would've been warm if you came with me."

"My legs won't work right now," Miles whined as he grabbed the rag. He cleaned himself up.

"We'll suffer the consequences of your own actions," Kyle said. He took the rag from Miles and tossed it aside. He laid down on top of the brunette, resting his head over his heart.

"I quite like this consequence," Miles said, wrapping an arm around the blonde.

—Happy Mistakes—

Kyle woke to a hand moving up and down his side. He smiled, leaning into the touch. The hand moved lower down to rest on his hip. He felt a warm body press closer to him under the covers. He felt a face press into his shoulder.

He cracked an eye open and saw it was still dark outside the window. It still had to be early morning.

"I know you're awake."

Kyle snuggled closer into the pillow before him. He didn't want to wake up. He didn't want to face reality. Right here, in this moment everything was great. He was comfortable and content. He could pretend just a little longer. Facing the world right now wasn't an option.

"Kyle?"

Kyle sighed and looked over his shoulder. He was met with a familiar set of brown eyes.

"Morning," he rasped, his voice thick with sleep.

"Good morning," Miles replied.

"Can we just lay here a bit longer," Kyle asked.

"As much as I'd like that-" Miles started.

"No, let's pretend just a little longer," Kyle pleaded. He really wasn't ready to face the world. Not after last night.

"We can't," Miles said.

"Nooo, we can," Kyle said. He grabbed Miles' hand and brought it to his lips.

"Oh I want to," Miles said smiling. He flexed his fingers around Kyle's, before tightening his hold. "I really want to, but the real world is out there waiting for us."

"Noooo," Kyle said, pulling Miles closer. Miles chuckled as he buried his face in his neck.

"Ok maybe a few more minutes won't hurt," Miles said.

"It's still dark, we don't need to get up until it's light out," Kyle said.

He settled back against the other boy. His eyes slipped shut as Miles tightened his hold on him and pressed a kiss to his temple.

Here in this small bubble they had built. This was where he wanted to stay. It was safe and sound. He could pretend just a little longer that everything was ok.

Kyle was drifting back to sleep. He felt Miles shift slightly. He wasn't sure if he was dreaming yet or not. Miles sat up slightly behind him. Kyle didn't need to open his eyes to know that he was looking at him.

"Kyle?"

Kyle remained quiet. He wanted to pretend just a little longer. He felt Miles shift behind him again and sigh.

"Why can't I quit you?"

He sounded so broken. Kyle remained still. He was sure Miles thought he was sleeping.

—Happy Mistakes—

Leora looked down at her phone. She was sitting at the breakfast table with Kendall and James. They were both talking and laughing together. She had joined them and they hadn't even really noticed her other than giving her a quick greeting. She was busy texting Lucas anyways. She had been trying to text Miles but he wasn't answering her.

"You're good is getting cold, Le," James said.

Leora looked up from her phone at him.

"Your food, you haven't touched it," James said.

"Say goodbye to Miles and eat your food," Kendall said.

"I'm not texting Miles, the coward won't answer me," Leora said.

"Coward?" James asked.

"He took off last night without telling anyone. He just said something came up and he's been radio silent since. Lucas hasn't even heard from him," Leora said.

"Oh," James said.

"Where's your brother? Is he still sleeping?" Kendall asked.

"Kyle? I don't know, he never came home. He dipped way before Miles though. I bet he's with Jared," Leora said, annoyed.

"He didn't come home?" James asked.

"Yeah, his bed hasn't been touched," Leora said.

"Ken-" James stated.

Kendall already had his phone out. He quickly called Jared, putting him on speaker.

"Hello? Kendall's it's Sunday I'm not coming into the studio today. Some people actually like to take a day off and relax," Jared said groggily.

"Good morning to you sunshine," Kendall laughed. "I'm just calling to see if Kyle wandered over your way last night. He never came home."

"What? No, he's not here," Jared said.

"Really?" James asked.

"No, he texted me once last night about having to suffer through prom and that was it," Jared replied.

"I think I might know where he is," Kendall said slowly.

"Care to elaborate?" Jared asked.

"Nope, I gotta go. I will see you tomorrow at the studio," Kendall said.

"Wait-"

Kendall hung up before he could finish. He jumped up. "I'll be back."

"Where are you going?" James asked.

"To make a phone call," Kendall said as he walked away.

—Happy Mistakes—

Logan groaned as he phone started ringing. He reached over to the bedside table fumbling with it. He heard a chuckle from behind him as his phone slipped to the floor. It stopped ringing so he laid back.

Logan laid back with a sigh. He was awake now. It was too early on Sunday to be awake. He glanced over at Carlos who was smiling at him.

"Morning," Carlos mumbled, sleepily. "Hospital?"

"Dunno it stopped ringing," Logan shrugged.

Carlos opened his mouth as it started ringing again. Logan groaned again. Carlos laughed as Logan started to try and fish his phone from the floor. He managed to snatch it and look at the caller ID.

"This better be important Kendall," Logan said as he answered the phone.

"Good morning to you too sunshine," Kendall greeted.

"What do you want Kendall?" Logan asked.

"Where's Miles?" Kendall asked.

"Probably sleeping still, I'm not even out of bed," Logan groaned.

"Go check please," Kendall said.

"What is going on?" Logan asked.

"Kyle never came home last night and he's not with Jared so there's only one place he could be," Kendall said.

"Did you hit your head? They aren't talking to one another," Logan groaned as he sat up in bed. Carlos looked at him confused. "Kyle isn't home and he thinks he's with Miles."

"Well it's been over a week, they should be putting on makeup any day now," Carlos said.

"Logan," Kendall said.

"I'm going," Logan said as he stood up. He slipped a pair of pajama pants on.

He made his way down to Miles's bedroom, listening to Kendall fill him in on what had happened last night. He knocked before entering. He paused as he saw the bed was empty. It didn't look like anyone had even slept in it.

"It appears you're on to something," Logan said.

"He's gone too?" Kendall asked.

"Doesn't look like he even came home," Logan said.

"Any ideas on where they could be?" Kendall asked.

"Not a clue, those two are…something else. They could be anywhere causing chaos," Logan said.

"Sounds familiar, my mom used to say the same thing about the four of us," Kendall laughed, "I mean I always knew she cursed me to have children just like me, but I never thought they would be exactly like me."

"Right, I'm gonna go fill in Carlos and maybe we can send a search party," Logan sighed.

"Yeah, Sounds good I'll get my hounds on the search too. I'm sure one of them knows where they are," Kendall sighed.

—Happy Mistakes—

Kyle woke when he felt the bed dip beside him. He reached out towards the person. He felt a hand grab his and he smiled.

"Dude, time to get up," Miles said.

"Do we have to?" Kyle whined.

"Yeah, my dads have been calling. They've left like ten threatening messages each," Miles said, "I'm sure your dads have been calling you."

"So," Kyle said, stretching out. He sat up causing the sheet to slide down to his waist. He shivered as the warmth left him. He watched as Miles' eyes traveled lower as well. He smirked at him. "Like what you see?" He asked.

"Stop," Miles said, his cheeks reddening. He looked away.

"If I just lay here, would you lie with me?" Kyle asked laying back. He really didn't want to leave this little bubble they had created. He knew he had to, but it was hard to get motivated. Especially when Miles looked at him like that.

"I would love to, but we can't," Miles sighed.

"I know, but-" Kyle started.

"No buts," Miles said, shaking his head. "We can't keep doing this to ourselves."

"Doing what?" Kyle asked.

"Are you going to break up with Jared?" miles asked bluntly.

Kyle's eyes shifted downwards. He looked away from Miles. Honestly Jared had been the furthest thing from his mind when he was here with Miles.

"I don't know," Kyle mumbled.

"I'm breaking up with Leora. This isn't fair to her, it's better she hears it from us than that skeezy little rat Hollis," Miles said.

"Yeah," Kyle said slowly.

"This isn't going to work unless we are on the same page here dude," Miles said.

Kyle looked up at him. He saw the desperation in his eyes. He wanted to be what Miles needed, but he couldn't. He didn't want to lose Jared either. He couldn't lose him. Not after everything they had been through. He loved Jared, but he loved Miles too. He wanted both of them. Why did he have to choose?

"I can see we aren't in agreement here," Miles sighed as he stood.

"I'm sorry," Kyle said, looking away again. "I can't lose him either. I love you both. I just…"

"I'm not going to be your dirty little secret anymore," Miles snapped.

"You're not-" Kyle started.

"Yes I am," Miles cut him off harshly. "We sneak around and hide away. If you were really in love and proud to be with me we wouldn't have to hide away. I want the world to know that I'm in love and I can't have that here."

"I do love you," Kyle said.

"Not enough apparently," Miles sighed looking away. "I'm not a booty call. I'm worth more than that. When you get this all figured out you know where to find me."

He turned and left the room. Kyle sat there staring at the door. He felt like he had been punched in the gut.

He sighed as he got out of bed. He dressed and made his way to the bathroom. Kyle splashed his face with water. He looked at himself in the mirror. He saw a tired skinny boy staring back at him. He didn't like what he saw.

Kyle moved back against the wall, tears coming to his eyes. He hadn't meant to get in so deep. There was no going back now. He slid until he was sitting down.

The walls felt like they were closing in on him again. Miles had left him all alone. He had thought they had both just agreed they couldn't be without the other. It seemed Miles wanted him all to himself. Kyle couldn't do that. He wanted Jared too. Jared made him feel alive when no one else could. Jared challenged him in a way that Miles couldn't, but Miles knew what Kyle needed without him having to say a word. Miles was always there and ready to do stupid shit with him. They were both perfect for him. How could he choose?

Kyle closed his eyes and tried to focus his breathing. He just felt so numb. It was like he couldn't feel anything anymore. It didn't hurt anymore. He just felt empty.

—Happy Mistakes—

James made his way into his and Kendall's room. He saw Kendall sitting on his phone. He stopped in the doorway crossing his arms over his chest. They had just gotten done with Kyle. He apologized for staying out, but wouldn't tell where he went. Leora had tried to weasel information about Miles out of him, but he wasn't sharing that either. In the end Kyle excused himself and went to his room.

"So, are you gonna tell me what happened this morning and who you called?" James asked.

"I called Logan," Kendall said looking up from his phone. "I had a hunch on where Kyle was and I was right."

"Ok what's going on," James asked, crossing the room. He made sure to shut the door behind him.

"I think Kyle and Miles are seeing each other," Kendall said slowly.

"What?" James asked, confused.

"There are rumors swirling around the studio and then this big argument they won't talk about. It's like they had a big break up fight and now they disappeared together and Kyle said they've come to an agreement," Kendall asked.

"But Miles is dating Leora," James said.

"I know, but it all makes sense and there have been a few people who told me they always thought that they would end up together," Kendall said.

"You can't be serious right now," James said.

"I am, I mean make it not make sense," Kendall said. He paused as James thought over his words. "I mean it's the only logical answer I can think of, but Kyle would never tell us."

"I mean, it kind of does," James said slowly.

"So Jared called me," Kendall said casually.

"Took him this long to call you back?" James asked.

"Yeah, he talked to Kyle. He's worried about him," Kendall said.

"Well given your recent revelation I would say he's going through a heartbreak right now," James said, "he's gonna want his space, but maybe we should try and talk to him soon."

"Yeah, I guess," Kendall said.

"I worry too, he's shutting us out and I don't like it," James said.

"So, Is Jenny sleeping," Kendall asked, changing the subject.

"Dada."

The pair looked to the door as the door opened and Jenny entered the room with her blanket in tow.

"She was," James sighed, "and apparently she can now open doors."

"C'mere baby girl," Kendall said, scooting to the edge of the bed. Jenny ran into his arms. "What's wrong?"

"Da boo-man," Jenny mumbled. She snuggled closer to Kendall.

"She's been having nightmares ever since we came to stay here," James sighed.

"Wanna sleep with daddy and papa tonight?" Kendall asked the toddler. She looked up at him with bright eyes. "I'll protect you from the boo-man," he promised her.

"Kendall," James sighed.

"One night won't hurt," Kendall said, hugging Jenny close.

"No, but I know you and it won't be one night," James sighed.

"Yeah it will," Kendall chuckled. He pulled Jenny close and gave a kiss on the cheek. "I have enough resolve to tell her no sometimes."

"Liar," James chuckled. He snatched Jenny from Kendall, pulling her into a hug as she giggled. "It's bedtime missy, that means sleeping," he said.

"Pop-pop," Jenny said, smushing her face to him. "Bed." She pointed to his pillow.

"Yes bed," James said, laying back with her.

Kendall quickly joined them. Jenny settled between them with a smile. She then leaned over and gave James a big wet kiss on the cheek before giving Kendall one.

"Thanks baby girl," Kendall chuckled.

He reached over, draping an arm over James' waist. The three of them settled in for the night. Jenny squirmed until she was comfortable sprawled out between the two. Kendall smiled as he watched her. She was still so young and innocent. He was going to miss this one day.
