Chapter One
Splinched
Lily Potter trudged her trunk through the snow, heading for the Dursleys house.
Flashback: She'd missed the Hogwarts express to her second year at Hogwarts and had been Apparated from locations in her fathers memories by a use of accidental magic. She'd meant to pick out a memory from him being at their home, but in stress she went too far back, and was teleported to Little Whinging, 4 Privet Drive. Where his fathers abusive uncle treated him horribly, they often yelled at him and would punish him physically at certain times, they never mentioned his birthdays and liked to starve him.
Lily landed with a thud on the snowy ground, upon stumbling up she realized a tugging pain in her right shoulder that made her wince slightly, Lily recognized the splinch quickly, a tiny spiralling pattern the size of a thumb bled slowly on her shoulder, checking the rest of her body she sighed with relief. "Oh thank Merlin it's only small!" Nikl, her owl was in a cage, and along with her trunk was all she had. Lily was possibly countries away from her parents and Hogwarts, away from James and Albus… "Ok Lily, be brave… You are a Gryffindor." She told herself. Her hands searched throughout her whole trunk to find her wand, "Ok… 'Ferula!' " She pointed it at her shoulder, bandages were conjured for the wound at once. She then went on to look for her spell books, tearing out a half-clear page she began to write with one of her quills:
Dear Mum and Dad
Please send help, I've missed the Hogwarts train… I've accidentally Apperated (teleported) to, I'm unsure where, it's covered in snow and there's a sign that says: Little Whinging.. I have a small splinch on my shoulder but that's all, I'm alright but I haven't much food in my trunk to survive for more than a few days. Only the turkey sandwich you've packed me, a water bottle and some pieces of candy I'd taken from our snack shelf. Nikl will deliver this to you as soon as possible, please send help.
Lily Luna Potter
Lily folded up the letter and turned to Nikl, "Send this as soon as possible, boy! To Mummy and Daddy." She instructed the owl, who nodded in response. She could only wait for further response, if Nikl couldn't send the letter she would be in trouble.
