5. Will At The Stars.
"I couldn't cry...i couldn't react...i couldn't even talk. And i sure as ever couldn't talk to him. My Mom was just someone else who'd disappeared today. Just...another missing person. But it was my mother. It was my mother. And...i knew that my...Dad was gone too. He was among everyone who had vanished on that plane before it crashed, i knew it, i...i just couldn't admit it. Even now it's hard." Will said.
"So how'd you end up here?" Kyle asked.
"(Sighs) I don't know, i...i just sat there not being able to move for a long time. And for some reason...i started thinkin' about my 9-year old friend, Rory Star. He use to always tell me about the possibility of an apocalypse in today's time and stuff. Maybe he knew what was goin' on. I got dressed, got on my bike, and rode over to his house." Will explained.

Will opened the door to the Star house, entered inside, and closed the door afterwards.
"It was so quiet in their house, there couldn't be anyone home. But...i knew the Stars never left their door unlocked."
"Rory?" Will called. But there was no response. "Mr. Star?" He called as he started walking through the foyer. No answer. He stopped at the entrance of the living-room and looked in it and saw that there was no one there. "Everything seems normal here. Mr. Star's car is still here, even Rory's bike. They can't still be in bed." The 10-year old boy then turned and headed upstairs and went to Rory's bedroom and saw that his 9-year old friend wasn't inside. He did, however, see the boy's white short sleeve button-up baseball pajama shirt, with a collar, and white pajama pants lying on his bed with his brown baseball glove. "Nothing" He stated. "His clothes are sit'n on his bed." He said as he closed the door. "Where-where could they be?" He asked himself. "Maybe..." Realization then hit him. "Oh, my gosh. They're gone too."
"I was gonna go when...i heard a noise. Like...somebody breathing really heavy coming from Rory's Dad's room."
(As Will proceeded to leave, he heard the sound of someone breathing heavy coming from Rory's Dad's bedroom, with the door open.)
"The door was open, so i walked down the hall and took a look inside."
(Will made his way down the hall to the open bedroom doorway and looked inside and saw Rory's Dad, Roy Star, lying on his bed, crying, with his back turned, revealing only his brown hair. Obviously he was upset over the disappearance of his son.)
"It was Rory's Dad. I thought he was gone too, but...he wasn't. He was just lying on the bed, crying. Talkin' to himself, i guess. I couldn't help but feel bad for him, you know? He just lost his wife in a car-crash this year in September. And now he had lost his son. Anyway, i figured i'd better get out of there before he saw me."
(Not wanting Rory's Dad to see him...Will left.)

"I didn't know where to go." Will said. "I didn't wanna go home. I think i was afraid i'd get the phone-call telling me that...that my Dad was gone. I knew that he was on that flight everyone disappeared on. Flight number 10. I just didn't want someone to tell me for sure like the cop did with my Mom. I...rode around the neighborhood for a while. There were people all over the place crying and...and yellin'. Nobody knew what was goin' on with all the...people disappearin' and stuff. And i was thinkin' about my Mom and my Dad and about Rory. Why'd they disappear like that? What about all the other people that are gone? I don't have any family, accept for my grandparents on my Dad's side in Indiana. No aunts, no uncles, brothers, no sisters, even my best friend is gone. I'm stuck here...all alone. So what am i suppose to do now?"
