Number 666 (You get the satanic joke)
Nerdy: That's fucked up in these hugely satanic times LOL.
I mean, this is a Helltaker fic. Hell is present all over.
REVIEWS:
Actually, since most revs are about this singular subject, I will be replying to it in one; Pyrrha will be a part of the harem still. I know some of you guys do not agree with it, but as Faightan Gaims said, this is set ONE YEAR prior to the cannon events, meaning he has time to adjust to each demon girl after leaving Hell. Also, me and Nerdy plan to have a bridge build between Jaune and Pyrrha early on. Pyrrha will serve as the element that keeps Jaune together, reminding him that he is human. Let's be real, living with demon girls is bound to influence him in negative ways, so Pyrrha can serve as a counter-influence. Who knows? Maybe she will also be able to teach the harem how to act more humane. I can certainly see her influence them in a positive manner, and vice versa. Cannot deny that. It will be interesting to see how Pyrrha might turn out with their influence and vice versa. Who knows, maybe she can convince Malina to put down her Vodka for once-
Malina: Finish that sentence, I dare you.
I rest my case.
Nerdy: I'd be more than glad to replace her vodka with milk.
Bloody, Jaune, and the entire Harem: DON'T!
Jaune expected many things entering Hell, including being eaten by some three-headed hound - which ironically proved to be 3 nice girls with a bubbly yet sinister attitude; to be burned to a crisp, dissolved with acid, or who knows what the devil has down here. But never, in his life, would he have guessed that he'd stumble upon an angel down here! An angel!? Out of all things he could've found deep in the depths of Hell, he had stumbled upon an angel. What were the chances?
"Uhm. Hi?" Jaune said, trying to start a conversation. The girls were all curious as well behind him but made no attempt to talk to her. Most likely because they were demon girls and she was an angel girl. "Are you alright-"
"How are you even down here?" Azazel said, then she closed the distance between herself and Jaune, starting to examine him from head to toe. "From what I can see you are not deceased or anything, and you don't feel like another damned spirit here. This is top-notch material! I've never heard about humans - LIVING humans walking through Hell! What is your purpose down here? Why do you have a sword? Are you a knight of sorts? Why are you traveling with so many demon girls? Are they your concubines?"
"She is not too far off." Zdrada remarked. However,l this only made the angel write it down in her notebook faster than Jaune could see.
"Oh my God, I cannot believe what I am seeing! Are you gathering a Harem? Surely you are not that crazy, right? I mean, don't get me wrong, the girls you have here are all lovely, but demons are generally superior to humans in physical attributes and the fornication would result in your pelvis being-"
"Ok!" Jaune shouted, cutting off the angel as she rumbled. "To answer your questions: I inherited my deceased relative's contract, which is why I am here, and the sword is a family heirloom which I recently discovered that was given extra powers by the same demoness who got me here - and yes, this is a harem, that is what my contract is making me gather!" He said, answering as many questions as he could. Azazel was listening closely, even though he was speaking quite fast, and managed to write everything down.
"You are quite the diligent one, aren't you?" Pan asked looking at the angel girl, then she took note of her age and uniform. "I assume you are enrolled in Heaven's main academy?"
"Yes!" Azazel answered while doing a military salute. "My name is Azazel, a student in Heaven's main academy located in the 6th Heaven! I want to study hard to get a good position to serve our Lord, which is also why I am here; to study!"
"Angels can enter Hell just like that?" Jaune asked, looking back at the other girls.
"Of course not! Her being here violates some laws and can get her in trouble!" Malina replied. "What were you even thinking coming down to Hell knowing that?"
Hearing that, Azazel froze, her eyes looking into the void as her skin grew pale. "Uhm. Azazel-"
"OH MY GOD! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!" And then the angel girl began to panic, running around in circles and muttered to herself. "I was so determined to further the studies that I completely forgot about the laws, then I entered Hell like an idiot! Oh no, I can get casted down for this!"
If Jaune knew a girl when she panicked, it'll be now. Living with 7 sisters certainly allowed him to understand girls well enough to live well next to one, or a few, but seeing Azazel panic here made the Arc reconsider some things. Such as his vision of Heaven. But that was not important. "Azazel, calm down, please. I am sure there is something we can do about it-"
"There isn't!" She shouted, continuing her panic. "Once Michael gets word of this I will have my halo taken from me! Angels are not allowed inside of Hell unless it is to conduct business with the demon population, and even then I am just a student! I don't have any authorization to be here! What do I do, what do I do?"
"Pan?" Jaune turned to her, hoping she might have some answers.
"Heaven's laws are pretty strict, making them hard to abuse or find loopholes; however, there is something we can use to save her some being cast down." The tired demon stated, then she turned to Jaune. "I will need to know you are with us on this."
"Why wouldn't I be?" The Arc asked, to which Zdrada snorted before taking a drag from her cigar.
"You are in for one helluva day, blondie."
"Girls?"
"You see, there is a clause that states that every angel, regardless of rank, official or not, has the right to become a human's guardian angel. Once they do, they are to remain by the human's side all their life to guide them on a path towards God." Monica stated. "It is stated that the said angel has to follow this human anywhere they go while keeping hidden."
"Oh! I read about that! We angels usually rely on magic to become invisible or alter our size to more easily stand by our chosen human!" Azazel replied, then she caught on to what Pandemonica was suggesting. "Wait, you are suggesting that I become, umm…"
"Jaune. Jaune Arc." The blonde said, giving his name.
"That I become Jaune's guardian angel?" She finished, to which Monica nodded.
"Yes." the tired demon answered. "The method behind the guardian angel contract is usually indirect, the link is done by an archangel usually, but since Jaune is here and is aware of the existence of Heaven and Hell, you can fulfill the pact now."
"Great!" Azazel cheered.
"So how do we do this? Do I sign a paper, shake hands, or-" The Arc was interrupted when Azazel caught his face with her hands, pulling his head down to put a kiss on his forehead. He didn't see that coming, but the Arc was not going to argue if this is how the pact is made. Azazel let go of his head, allowing the Arc to recover. "That easy?"
"Yup!" Azazel said, then her halo glowed a bit as another one appeared above Jaune's head before vanishing. "It seems I was in luck as well since you didn't have a guardian angel already"
"I wonder why…" He sighed. Maybe having overprotective parents made Heaven think he doesn't need a guardian angel? Well, he does now. "I guess this means she is joining the Harem as well."
"Oh! What is done in a Harem? Do we just play games? Talk? Simply live together? Eat together? Bathe together-" Modeus perked up hearing that part. "-what are the usual activities of a Harem?"
Jaune blushed a bit hearing her, asking himself how this girl didn't know what happens in a Harem but knows the term and basic concept of it. It was pretty interesting and awkward to think about. "I just hope she doesn't get traumatized when she learns" The Arc thought, not being able to imagine how this curious girl, this pure angel, would react to the lifestyle of a Harem.
A style he didn't know either but had a feeling he will in a matter of time. "In a Harem, you share one man with multiple girls, regardless of activity" Zdrada answered. "That includes sharing him for the horizontal no-pants dance"
"Or the vertical one" Modeus added.
"Oh? Is this some special dance in Hell? Something the humans do? Can you do it at an angle of 180 degrees? Why are you not wearing pants during this dance? Is it ceremonial?" And just like that, Azazel began her questioning.
"Feels like being interrogated, not gonna lie"
Azazel then turned to him. "What do you mean by that?"
"Oh, fuck me! She can read my thoughts as well!"
The group then resumed their track, with Monica talking to Azazel while the sisters bickered and Modeus clung to Jaune's arm. Cerberus was also following, standing close to the sisters so their bickering doesn't get out of hand. The Tired demon and Curious angel apparently got along quite well, with Pandemonica teaching Azazel some things about Hell that she kept writing down. If Jaune was to guess, he'd say Monica enjoys teaching the young angel.
Also, he learned that since Azazel was his guardian angel now, she had access to his thoughts. He requested her not to read them all the time, as he wanted to have some privacy in his head. "I would've never taken Monica for the teacher kind. Heh. Or maybe that is because she has nothing better to do than interacting with Azazel."
The group eventually arrived at their destination, which was pretty challenging for Jaune. The level of Hell they were on now was the hottest one yet, with temperatures being similar to a summer day during a heatwave. Actually, it was so hot that he needed his Aura to prevent his skin from burning. But what he found pretty terrifying was that the souls were the cause of the heat.
This level, per Pan's words, was reserved for the ones who died and committed sins related to anger, pride, grudges, vengeance, and overall the main sins you'd expect someone to land here for. Their souls were being forced into a frenzy and thrown into the lava where they fought, bit, and tortured themselves in an endless, unwinnable fight. The heat is a result of their wrath seeping through their soul, heating the lava further. The girls didn't seem to mind, nor did Azazel, but Jaune was sweating. He managed until now thanks to his Aura, but now this was a little much. It was not helping that he was wearing his sweater here.
"This is where we will find the next demon girl. Now, Jaune, I need you to be careful around here." Monica said, looking at him. "This level is where Lucifer resides, and she is not someone you want to anger."
"Alright- wait, she?" Jaune said, being somewhat shocked to hear that Lucifer was a girl. "She is a girl?"
Everyone turned their heads at him, giving him a strange look. "What do you mean by that, blondie? Of course, she is a girl, what else could she be?"
"I don't mean to be rude, but everyone above on earth thinks she is a male demon, not a female one." He said, then saw Pandemonica sigh and grab the bridge of her nose while Cerberus snickered, Zdrada snorting and dragging smoke from her cigar, Malina shaking her head, Modeus being...Modeus. Jaune did not want to know what was going through her head right now. And Azazel was simply writing down his words with a furious fire in her eyes. "Wait, you guys really didn't know about that?"
"We do not concern ourselves with how the humans view us," Pan said. "That being said, mo, we were not aware of that. And frankly, I don't think Lucifer does either, meaning this might come off as mildly infuriating to her when she does find out"
"Oh goodie." Jaune said, imagining the fury of the Queen of Hell. "So, who's the next girl on the list?"
"Justice." Pan responded.
"Justice? Now that's a unique name." He said, then he turned to look ahead, noticing the rest of the level. True to what Monica said, he could make out the outline of some sort of castle in the distance, but there is also something else that caught his eye; a small house located next to a river of lava with souls cursing and beating each other.
"Let's go, blondie! Hell will freeze over if we don't make haste!" Zdrada said, making the group move towards the house. Jaune took in the place, noticing that it couldn't be bigger than a one-person place, and had a metal door at the front. Jaune decided to relax and walk to it, beating at the door.
"Hold on! I am coming right now!" A feminine voice shouted from the other side, then the sound of several steps was heard before the door was opened, revealing the next girl Jaune has to woo to join his Harem. She had the common traits of white hair, tail, and pale skin, but had sunglasses on her eyes. She had a short ponytail on the back of her head, tightened with a red bandana, a black tie with two silver clips attaching it to her red shirt. She also had a black suit jacket, which she wears, unbuttoned, around her shoulders. She also sported red fingerless gloves with the initials HPJ on them. She also had black pants with a belt and boots like the rest of the demons. "So, who am I having the pleasure of meeting?"
"Hello, Uhm, Justice?" Jaune said, being a bit nervous. This was, to some extent, the most normal encounter until now. "My name is Jaune Arc, and I've been looking to ask you about something."
"Ask me about something? Well, what is it?" She asked back, leaning with one elbow on the doorframe. Her covered eyes were on Jaune, and before the boy could open his mouth she spoke again. "Wait, you wouldn't happen to be human, right? And alive to that?"
"Actually, I am." Jaune replied.
"Well, what do you know! And here I thought Hell was going to be dead-only forever." She said with a laid back attitude, even a bit jokingly. "It kills the mood, you know. So many screams and whatnot get old after a few hundred years"
"I can imagine…" He replied. "But I am here to actually ask if you'd be interested in joining my…" And here is where Jaune's words died in his mouth. What will he say to her even? He had to think that this is the level Lucifer resides on, so Justice might be a high-ranking demon, likely something more than able of killing him in one strike, Aura or no Aura.
"What is it, big guy?" Justice asked. "You don't want me to join your harem?" She asked, seeming to initially have it as just a joke, but then she heard Jaune reply.
"Actually…" He said in a low tone, scratching the back of his neck in nervousness. Justice, for her part, just stared at him for a moment before beginning to chuckle a bit.
"Dude, you must be either crazy, stupid, or very, very lucky." She replied.
"Actually, I am doing this because my uncle failed in this endeavor and his contract was transferred to me." He replied, speaking the truth. However, he didn't know why he was speaking the truth. "Great, more demonic magical stuff!" "Yeah...Now I have to gather a harem of 10 demon girls - although it seems an angel girl counts as well, don't know how that works - in order to help the demoness whom I have the contract with, Beelzebub, get free from the Abyss." "Ok, wow. That all came out of its own accord, I didn't even have time to think before it all came pouring out!"
"Woah there, big guy, you just said Beelzebub? As in, 'Lady of the Flies' and all that?" Justice asked, seeming somewhat more serious than before. "And you are saying this contract of yours is with her so she can get out of the Abyss? Fucking A, man, I was the one to put her there!"
"You are?!" He asked in shock and surprise, being stunned to hear that. However, upon looking at Justice some more, he noticed that she didn't seem all that mad. Maybe a bit tenser than she was a few seconds ago, but not angry.
"Yeah, man! Fought her tooth and nail, then yeeted her through a portal!" Justice replied again. "Didn't know there were still humans capable of opening portals to that place, or spells related to the Abyss for that matter. You must be pretty lucky to have found one."
"Actually, it was left by my uncle at random with only the hope of it ever being found"
"Ah, makes sense." She replied. "Look, Jaune, you seem like a nice guy overall, but I need to ask you this: Do you trust Beelzebub?" She asked, then Jaune turned to Monica, remembering that she too acted strangely when he mentioned the name. The rest of the demon girls were surprised to hear it now, but most didn't seem to care, except for Azazel who was writing down everything.
"I...I don't have anyone left to trust, if I am to be honest." He replied. Something just seemed to tell him to speak the truth and leave nothing behind. Justice's ability? Maybe. It does relate to her name. "Back on Remnant I come from a family of Huntsman - Heroes who protect both Human and Faunus Kind from the creatures of Grimm. But my father, the current head of the Arc Household, refused to teach me how to fight. He didn't ever bother to teach me the basics. On the contrary even: He made sure I would not get any training as well." His mouth was running almost by itself without the brain telling it to, and he quickly began to feel the usual frustration that followed those words. "I was about to give up when I found the book and, thinking it was likely some prank and due to my mental state at the time, I summoned her. Save to say I was surprised to see a woman instead of some monster coming out. She then told me everything, and I...I asked her if I could still be a Hero if I get the Harem. She told me that it is likely I could, but it depended on who I got. Don't get me wrong, it was Monica who led me through Hell and she had no idea of this part until after I got Cerberus to join."
Justice was listening closely to his words. "But Beelzebub? When I asked her if she truly believed in me she said she does, and I know when someone is lying." He clenched his fist. "Years of it taught me that much. People who could've trained me but made up excuses because of my father. Even my own sister, Coral, was forbidden from trying to teach me. But I know Beelzebub told me the truth back then. So to answer your question, Justice, I do. I trust her."
The demoness looked at him for a few seconds before slowly starting to chuckle, then she began to laugh, taking off her glasses while keeping her eyes shut. "You know, that has to be one unique sob story you got there, kid. Definitely something unique. I know about Remnant and its Huntsmen, and I know that you basically want to be a great one. But I can also understand why your father did the things he did. You do as well, don't you?"
"I do. I am their only son, after all." He replied, then Justice continued.
"Bingo! However, the things they did are not any better. But trusting Beel? You really must have a few screws loose, buddy. And you know what? I'm in!" This caught Jaune by surprise. "But a fair warning; Lucifer and I won't be besties with the fly."
"I guess you have a bone to pick with her?" Jaune asked, to which Justice opened her eyes, revealing grey orbs to him. "Are you-"
"Blind? Yup! This happened during the fight with Beelzebub, she did this to me during it. I don't like holding grudges, so after some time I forgave her. But Lucifer? Me and Lucy are tight, so she has not forgiven Beelzebub for doing this to me." She then held up her gloves. "I used to be her High Prosecutor, the second highest authority in Hell. The gloves were a gift from her to do my job. Had to step down because of my blindness, but someone else took my place and DAMN! She is doing a fine job, I tell you"
"Oh." Jaune said. "Well, glad to have you, Justice."
"Glad to be on board, chief! Now, you did say you have Cerberus and Pandemonica in, correct? And something about an angel girl? This is one interesting group, but who else do you have in here?"
"Zdrada, Malina, and Modeus, and the angel's name is Azazel" Jaune replied, then he found it in him to ask. "Also, is your ability some forced truth or something?"
"What gave it away?" She asked with a smile.
"Anyway…" He then turned to the rest of the girls, namely to Pandemonica. "Who is next, Pan?"
"Well, you see…" Jaune started to become nervous seeing Pandemonica act strangely, something which she has not done until now. "The next one is there." She then pointed towards the castle, to which Jaune immediately caught on to what she meant.
"No…" He muttered, feeling his nervousness kick in.
"Are you serious about this, Pandemonica? Really?" Malina asked.
"And just when I thought things would be fun…" Modeus added.
"Awww. We will never get to the human realm now!" Cerberus whined.
Their next destination, out of every level in Hell, every possible demon girl they could get, was towards Lucifer's castle. What Monica was telling them was that the next girl that needed to join Jaune's harem, with the information of its ruler in mind, was none other than Lucifer herself.
Safe to say Jaune fainted after having to learn that. "Is he alright?" Azazel asked, rushing in to catch him.
"He will be fine, darling." Pan said, then sighed. "It may be the thought of having to meet Hell's Queen that has gotten to him. Either way, we wouldn't have been able to get to the castle today. It is getting late."
"Oh yeah." Justice chimed in. "And believe me. The ghouls that come from wrathful souls are not nice."
With that in mind everyone went inside Justice's house, trying to see where they could get accommodations. Justice had only a small bed, big enough to fit 1 person at best. Pandemonica told them Jaune would like for Justice to take the bed since it was her house, but she declined, stating that since she joined the harem they could do something better. With that in mind, they went to the living room and moved the furniture around, laid down some sheets on the floor, and they all went to sleep. Granted, Modeus was clinging to Jaune the entire time.
Jaune was having trouble staying asleep as the sound of the ghouls and the heat was making it quite difficult, but even though he managed to somehow stay sleeping, he wasn't prepared to have a nightmare. The boy was in front of what he perceived to be Lucifer, along with a horrible torture session. The demon queen was forcing Jaune to go through endless amounts of puzzles to get through hell. The thing is though, these puzzles never seemed to end no matter how many he solved. This caused the young man to wake up. Thankfully, it was already morning. There were two things he found though that really made him uncomfortable.
The first was that he was drenched in sweat which was bad because he did not bring a change of clothes with him. And the second was that his hand was groping Modeus' breasts. He tried his best to let go but even Jaune's sanity was reaching its end as he was around so many beautiful women and he never had to cope with such a feeling before, and even though Pandemonica told all the girls to stay in their professional outfits, the young man couldn't stop his hand from squeezing the massive curves of Modeus. It didn't exactly help that all the girls were sleeping in positions that showed that they didn't care that a boy was in the room with them.
"there… so soft!" The boy thought to himself. As he noticed Modeus start to move, though, the young man regained his senses as he finally found the strength to pull his hand away from the demon of lust.
Jaune tried his best to get up but he was unable to as he was surrounded by his harem of demon girls from almost head to toe. Thankfully, Modeus woke up and moved out of the way so Jaune could get himself up. Now that he was able to get up and walk around, he decided to go to the kitchen to find himself something to drink. Thankfully for him, he managed to find something that looked like soda. He was hesitant for a second to drink it but he swallowed his fear and gulped it down regardless. To his enjoyment, it tasted the same as the soda he drank back home. As he turned around though, he noticed Justice standing at the entrance to the kitchen.
"Yo, you smell awful. Go use the bathroom." Was the first thing that she said before Jaune even had a chance to say good morning. He then took notice that he really didn't smell good at all. Taking Justice's advice, he went to the bathroom. He placed Crocea Mors and his clothes next to a towel that he found waiting for him.
"Hehe, I sense an opportunity!" Modeus practically fangirled out as she got ready to run to the bathroom to get a peek. Malina then grabbed her to stop her.
"Hey, what are you doing?!" Modeus demanded.
"I know you're planning some dirty shit so i'm just gonna stop you right there." Malina replied.
"You don't understand! It's for the good of the harem!" Modeus tried to reason.
"Just how the hell does your peeking at Jaune in the bathroom help the harem?" Malina asked, irritated.
"Well we all need to know if he is packing heat or not!" Modeus replied as she revealed she was drooling at her own thoughts. This simply caused the gamer demon to facepalm in response.
Back in the human realm, the construction was going smoothly, then her fly popped up again. "So he did add the angel, huh? Well, that works. It counts. But Justice...Oh my, this is going to be an awkward reunion."
And with this, we are almost done with assembling the Harem.
Nerdy: and now it's time for some Yugioh .
Yeah, yeah, I know. We have to write that now. Anyway, guys, I hope you all enjoyed the story thus far. We ultimately decided to add Pyrrha to the mix due to the positive influence she can bring to balance the demonic one. So try saying that she contributes with nothing again, I dare ye. 'Sides, both me and Nerdy cannot wait for that part, especially when we will introduce the Harem to the main cast. Do remember that we accept any suggestion you guys might make in the revs or by PM-ing me, and do tell how you guys think the main cast the Harem might interact and react to each other.
