"Bella! Get your tiny ass over here and start talking!" Alice squeaked, patting the seat next to her on my large white sofa, practically bouncing off the seat. I had given her a key so she was able to come over whenever she wanted, though sometimes I wish I hadn't.

I slipped off my shoes at the door and peeled off my toque and began unbuttoning my sweater. "I thought you were sick, Miss Mouse. Where did all of this energy come from?" I made my way over to the sofa and sat on the opposite end of where she sat, afraid that she was going to tackle me at any moment.

She clapped her hands together and let out another high pitched squeal. "Who. Was. That?" She asked firmly. I took a deep breath, shaking my head, and blushed all over again. "You have to tell me!" Her bouncing became more violent, I was afraid she was going to throw herself off the sofa so I caved.

"A guy." I said matter of factly. She groaned and reached over, gripping my arm with both of her hands, shaking the life out of me.

"I know. But what I don't know is what this guy's name is." Jokingly, she pressed her hand into the side of my face, pushing it in the opposite direction. I laughed loudly but it slowly morphed into a groan as I placed my head in my hands. "I mean, I know I told you to go out and find someone to go to the concert with, but I didn't think you would take me seriously. Like, Bella, you never do the shit I tell you."

I removed my head from my hands and leaned back against the sofa, letting my head lean back. "I wasn't really considering it. And then I did. I didn't purposely go out and look for someone. I said to myself 'if the opportunity ever presented itself, then maybe'. But nothing happened." I paused, taking a breath. "And then . . ." I couldn't help but smile again for the umpteenth time.

"And then?" Alice pressed.

"And then I saw him." I paused, letting Alice squeal before I continued. "But of course he didn't see me so I kinda just gave up all hope. My god, he is the most beautiful creature to ever walk the earth." Another squeal. "But then later that day I saw him in line with his brothers. Now, I'm not a social person." Alice nodded in agreement. "So, I wasn't going to say anything at first, but then I heard that he forgot his ticket to the concert. So, I . . ." Alice finished my sentence with another squeal.

"And so you gave him your ticket!" She clapped her hands and jumped in the air. "What's his name? How old is he? Does he go to school? What's his major? Did he kiss you?" She gasped. "Did you kiss him?" I let her settle down before answering all of her questions.

"His name is Edward." Saying his name brought a smile to my face. "He's twenty two. He just got his masters in psychology, he can get a doctoral degree but he doesn't want to do anymore school. And I think he was going to kiss me at the concert but that didn't end up happening, and it was definitely going to happen when he dropped me off but you interrupted."

She let out a loud gasp after processing all of this new information. "I am so so sorry, Bella! Ugh! I should have put two and two together when I saw you two so close. I was just so shocked to see you with a guy." I let out another laugh and made my way to the kitchen, Alice following behind me.

"It's okay, at least I got his number. But I don't even . . ." I didn't bother to finish my sentence because Alice was already speaking. She slammed a hand down on the counter top, making a smack noise and began her rant.

"Don't you dare, Bella Swan!" Her face flushed red with anger. "The universe has given this to you. Now, be greedy and take it! I will not let you sit around all day wondering 'what if?'. I don't care if you call, text, of send a fucking carrier pigeon! You are going to try. You are going to make an effort." She glared right at me, sending chills down my spine.

I nodded slowly, swallowing the lump that had formed in my throat during her lecture. "Okay." I all but whispered.

"You don't have to today, and not even tomorrow, I suggest the day after that, but anytime after that, he's going to think you forgot or were totally not interested." I nodded again, slowly pulling out my phone to look at the number he saved into my phone. Under contacts he wrote his name as Edward :) and that made me giggle. I would definitely be calling him later.

I lay in my bed, listening to some soft jazz through my earbuds with my eyes closed, reflecting the hectic but amazing day. While speaking with Alice, I never really had any time to really just . . . think. I had to answer question after question and listen to her constant rambling about opportunities and commitment.

So, now here I lay, thinking.

He was so kind, so respectful, and so god damn beautiful. When Mike had been bothering me, he stepped in, getting Mike off my back. And even when Mike was a total dumbass and told him we were dating, he immediately adjusted his stance as if he was stepping over a line and introduced himself.

And during the ride home, as we both sat in the back seats while both his brothers were in the front, he didn't stay quiet and make things awkward. He talked to me and made me comfortable while being in a stranger's vehicle. We talked about school a little bit more and he confirmed his age as twenty two. We shared random details about each other like favourite colours and favourite animals. His being navy blue and a lion, and mine being emerald green and a cat.

I thought about that for a moment, my favourite colour had always been brown up until that point. Why did I answer with emerald green? What made me change my answer so suddenly? But then something hit me like a ton of bricks. The striking green of his eyes. One of his most prominent features. They shimmered and sparkled and it was practically hypnotising. I laughed at myself for such a ridiculous thing.

Both of his brothers would make small comments here and there but other than that they were quite silent. I swore I caught them smirking at each other at some point as well as Emmett glancing in the rear-view mirror to smile at Edward.

I couldn't wait for tomorrow, let alone the day after that. So, I rolled on my side and grabbed my phone from my nightstand next to my bed, unhooking my earbuds and plucking them from my ears. I unlocked my phone and went straight to my contacts. Edward's name stood out like the black sheep among all of the white. Slowly and hesitantly, I pressed it.

The phone began to ring as I brought it up to my ear. It only rang about three times before a hello came from the other end. A shiver ran all throughout my body at the sound of his musical voice. I knew it was him, obviously. His voice sounded worried but also hopeful. I smiled, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"Hey, it's Bella."

Well? I know it was a little bit of a filler chapter but I promise things will move quicker as we go, I don't plan on this story being too long.

Question… how would you guys feel if I wrote something for the holidays? It would be ExB (I think all of my stories will be this pairing) and the chapters would most likely stay under 300 words. Updates either everyday or every other day? Maybe I should just do one long one-shot? Both? Let me know! But I know I love reading ExB Christmas fics around the holidays.

Thank you guys so much for reading! Remember to review and follow my Spotify, , and check out the Extra Ticket playlist I made! See you guys next week!
