Chapter 2

Hermione groaned as she sat up and rubbed her eyes. "Hermione!" With a groan she got up and grabbed her robe. She walked down the steps to find Harry and Ron in the common room calling for her. "So you were still asleep." Ron sighed in relief.

"Well it was two when I came back to the common room, Dumbledore gave me permission to sleep till lunch."

"What happened?" Harry asked.

"I will tell you at lunch, if you will excuse me I have to get ready." With that Hermione walked back up the stairs and quickly changed and ran a brush through her hair, marveling at how easier it was compared to her previous hair. She went back down stairs and rolled her eyes upon seeing the two boys waiting for her on a couch. "Let's go meet Ginny in the Great Hall, I am not repeating myself about." The boys got up and followed her out of the common room, trying to ask her questions the entire way. Hermione groaned as she sat down beside Ginny rubbing her head. "Give me a second and I will explain everything." Hermione snapped at Ron and Harry before turning to Ginny. "How's your day going so far?"
"Not bad, except dealing with those two freaking out about where you were." Ginny responded. "Now what happened last night?" Hermione sighed before explaining to them her night, stopping Ron and Harry any time they tried to say or ask something. Once she reached the end of her story she looked at the boys. "Now you may speak."

"You're really Tabitha Nott?" Harry asked. "As in Nott, one of Malfoy's friends, Nott."

"Yes," Hermione said with a nod. "Evidently he's actually a junior."

"And Snape and the Malfoys are really your godparents?" Harry asked.

"Yes, evidently my father, Snape, and Mister Malfoy were friends in school, as well as Regulus, Sirius' brother." Hermione explained going quiet at the end.

"You can't seriously be going to their house over the weekend." Ron protested.

"Why not?" Hermione asked. "They are my parents, technically. I have every right to go and meet them."

"Well," Ron muttered. "They are obviously death eaters." Hermione rolled her eyes with a groan.

"You don't know that they are death eaters. You don't even know if Malfoy is one, you just think because they are friends with the Malfoys they must be death eaters."

"Well Mister Malfoy is a death eater," Harry argued, "And Snape is technically a death eater. Since the three of them are friends…" He trailed off as Hermione groaned.

"We don't know these people, and you can't stop me from getting to know my biological parents on the off chance they might be death eaters." With that she got up and stormed out of the Great Hall.

Theo groaned as he slid into a seat between a boy with blond hair and a girl with blond hair. "Rough night?" The boy asked, giving Theo a smirk.

"Well, considering I found out I have a twin sister, yes." Theo said, taking a sandwich from the stack in front of him.

"Whoa," The boy interrupted. "Who's that?" Theo looked up to see Hermione storming out of the Great Hall, he glanced quickly to see Ginny slapping Ron and Harry on the back of their heads. "Has she always been here? I don't recognize her." Theo chuckled as he turned to his friend.

"That, Draco, is my twin sister, Tabitha. Though you know her best as Hermione Granger."

"What?" The girl beside him asked. "That was Granger?"

"Yes Daphne, that was Granger. Turns out she's actually my twin sister." Noticing he had the attention of not only Draco and Daphne, but the four teens across the table from him he started explaining his night. "I can't believe Granger is actually your sister." The girl across from him said in disgust.

"Do you think he knows?' Draco asked in a whisper.

"If he doesn't he will soon, they invited her over this weekend to get to know them. I'm sure I'm expected there as well."

"Well there is a meeting Saturday." Draco said. "Theodore will probably make it known then. Are you worried?"

"About which part?" Theo asked as they got up and headed toward their class. "The fact they kept having twins a secret from him, or that she was raised a muggle?" Draco just shook his head and gave a shudder.

"You might be my best friend but I wouldn't be in your shoes for anything." Theo just chuckled as they sat in their seats.

"Hey 'Mione," Ginny said, stopping Hermione in a hallway as they passed each other. "Ask your parents if I can come over this weekend with you, so you might feel more comfortable. I'll write to my mother and see if I can."

"That might help, I'm sure it'll make Ron and Harry feel better. I'll write up a letter today and we can send them out after classes." Hermione agreed. "I'll see you then." Ginny nodded as she walked towards her next class. She walked into the class room and sat beside Theo. "I'm writing to our mother," Hermione said as she took out a piece of parchment. "I'm going to see if Ginny can come with me."

"I'm sure she won't mind, she always complains about having too many males in the house." Theo chuckled.

"She's going to write her mother and see if it's okay for her to come over, hopefully both mothers say yes."

"Well, mother will more than likely say yes. I think you really only have to worry about what Misses Weasley will say." Theo reassured his sister before they returned their attention to the professor. At the end of their lessons Ginny met Hermione in the Great Hall and together they walked to the owlery, Ginny using Pigwidgeon, Ron's owl, while Hermione used a school owl.

The next morning Hermione anxiously waited for the mail to arrive during breakfast. "I'm sure I can go." Ginny tried to reassure her friend. "My mother is not that stubborn."

"Yes, but she is stubborn, and you know your family does not get along with most of the purebloods." Hermione said. "What if she uses that as a reason for you not to go?"

"I still think you shouldn't go." Ron said. "I don't want my sister going to a house full of Slytherins."

"Good thing it's not up to you." Hermione snapped as the owls started to fly in. Pigwidgeon dropped Ginny's letter in front of her as another owl landed in front of Hermione. Both girls looked at each other before taking the letters and reading them.

Tabitha, or Hermione

Of course your friend can come, having a girl in the house will be a welcome change to all of Theo's friends. As long as Mrs. Weasley agrees, we will be happy to have her. Please inform us if you would prefer to be known as Hermione or Tabitha, we know you as Tabitha but you have been Hermione your whole life, so it will be entirely up to you. Also this owl is for you, a birthday present of sorts. See you this afternoon.

Mother, Adrianna Nott

"Mum says I can go." Ginny said as Hermione finished reading her letter. "But I am to leave the minute I'm treating in any way besides politely. What about yours?"

"Mine says you can come, and she wants me to decide if I want to go by Tabitha or Hermione, also this is evidently my owl now." Hermione said, giving the owl in front of her a little scratch on its head before sending it off.

"Well, then at lunch we'll pack." Ginny said and together they got up and headed out of the Great Hall, Ron and Harry grumbling behind them.

"I can't believe mum is letting her go." Ron was complaining to Harry.

"I can't believe either of them even want to go, the Notts are Slytherins." Harry responded.

"Technically, Potter," Theo said, walking up to the group. "My mother was in Ravenclaw, speaking of, what did she say?" He asked Hermione as he got in step beside her.

"Yes, and Ginny can come too. So we will meet you in the Great Hall after lessons and we will meet them in Hogsmeade." Theo nodded and walked away, Ron and Harry grumbling the entire time.

Hermione anxiously stood in the Great Hall, a duffle bag at her feet, waiting for Ginny and Theo.

"You don't have to go." Ron said as he and Harry followed Ginny down the stairs.

"Yes I do, I am not letting my best friend go meet her parents by herself, come with us. Meet the Notts, maybe you'll feel better." Hermione and Ginny shared a look at Theo joining them.

"Ready?" He asked the girls.

"Yes," Hermione said. "Harry and Ron are coming too, to meet our parents. They don't feel comfortable with us going without them." Hermione rolled her eyes causing Ginny to chuckle and Theo shrugged.

"Whatever, let's go." Theo and Hermione took the lead. "Do you have any questions before we get there?"

"They want me to decide if I want to go by Hermione or Tabitha, what do you think?" Hermione asked.

"Personally I think Tabitha, since it's just going to be the five of us. When you return to school you can return to Hermione."

"That's what I was trying to tell her," Ginny said, giving the twins her input. "I'm sure they have been waiting to call their daughter Tabitha since she left."

"Or she can just stay with Hermione." Harry muttered, earning a glare from Hermione and Ginny.

"You know, as my best friends, I would expect you two to be happy for me." Hermione snapped.

Harry and Ron gave sheepish looks as they finished the walk to Hogsmeade. Standing at the end of the path were Theodore and Adrianna who smiled when they saw their kids.

"How are you two doing?" Adrianna asked giving her son a hug then hesitantly going in for a hug with Hermione.

"Not bad," Hermione answered, awkwardly hugging her back. "I'm sure you know of Ron and Harry." Theodore stiffened slightly before offering the boys his hand.

"Thank you for taking such good care of my daughter, I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of each other." Harry and Ron looked at each other before Harry took Theodore's hand.

"She's like my sister, I didn't want her to come without meeting you." Harry said.

"I completely understand," Theodore said, shaking Ron's hand. "Trust me, she will be taken care of at our house." Ron and Harry nodded and Theodore turned toward Theo, Ginny, and Hermione. "Ready?" They nodded. "Since neither of you have taken your apperation test Theo will be side apparating with me, while Tab-Hermione and Miss Weasley will side apparate with your mother." They group up and with a crack they disappear.
