Ashley paced back and forth in front of the door that led to the basement. She needed to get something from downstairs but she was a little scared. The basement was Lilly's domain and every other Bella was weary of going down there alone. But, Ashley needed an old project from her freshman year that she had stashed down there and she was the only one in the house. She didn't like it but Ashley took a steading breath before opening the door and making her way down the stairs.

The lights flicked when she flipped the switch but settled on an eerie yellow glow. Ashley shuddered, she hadn't been down here in months and somehow it had grown creepier in that time. She hurried over to the shelf that her project was on, she wanted to get out of there and out of there fast. Ashley reached out to pull the small diorama but in doing so she accidently knocked the box next to it off the shelf.

She cursed under her breath, bending over to pick up the box's spilled contents. Only to stop when she realized the contents were a bunch of strange looking dolls. They kind of reminded her of her old beanie babies that she may or may not still have up in her room. Except these dolls were not cute little animals. They looked like they were supposed to be people. Ashley handled each doll carefully, the last time someone messed with Lilly's things Amy ended up glued to the ceiling.

She was about to put the dolls back in the box but something seemed off about them. One was larger than the rest and had blonde hair, another was shorter with brown hair, one had red hair with bright blue buttons sewn on for eyes. The closer Ashley looked the more convinced she was that these dolls corresponded to her Bella sisters. But what was weirder still was that when she picked up the doll that she assumed was hers she noticed that the hair was real. She didn't want to know where or how Lilly got enough hair for all these dolls.

"What are you doing?" Ashley nearly jumped out of her skin before spinning around to see Lilly standing at the foot of the stairs.

"Lilly," Ashley clutched a hand to her chest. "You scared me."

"What are you doing?" Lilly stepped away from the stairs to walk over and pick up the box.

Ashley scratched the back of her head while taking a step back. "I was looking for my old project and accidentally knocked over your box." She gestured to the box in Lilly's hands. "Um, are those voodoo dolls?"

Lilly just stared at her, which made Ashley feel extremely uncomfortable. "You know what, I'll just leave you alone. Sorry for touching your stuff." She grabbed her diorama and scurried up the stairs. The quiet girl just watched her friend leave the basement. She bent over to pick up the other dolls and put them back in the box.

"Not yet," Lilly closed the lid and put the box back on the shelf. "It's not time for you just yet."

(LINE BREAK)

Over the next week Ashely gave Lilly a wide berth. She only told Jessica about what she found but her friend didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Except now Ashely was questioning every little accident in the house. When Stacie stubbed her toe against the coffee table Ashely could have sworn Lilly was hiding something behind her back. During movie night Beca was complaining about being too hot, and this was the same woman that usually had at least three blankets on at a time. Ashley glanced over at Lilly to see the girl playing with her lighter in one hand while the other was hidden behind the couch. There were a few more minor incidents and every time Ashley saw Lilly doing something suspicious.

Jessica thought she was crazy but Ashley was positive that Lilly had become some sort of voodoo witch doctor. Now she was going to prove it, Ashley was back at the basement door, her hand trembling a little. She made sure to check that Lilly was not actually in the basement before making her way down the stairs. She went straight for the box that held the dolls, wanting to spend as little time down there as possible. After grabbing the box she quickly hurried back upstairs. Once inside her room Ashely shut the door and locked it. She gingerly opened the box before pulling out several of the dolls. Amy, CR, Flo, they each seemed to have their own dolls. When she tried to pull out the next one there was a slight resistance. Very carefully she pulled out the doll to see that there was a string connected to another doll.

The first doll had to be the one for Chloe, none of the others had red hair. There was a string attached to the center of its chest, a string connected to the exact same spot of Beca's doll. Ashley looked through the box and saw the same situation with the dolls for Aubrey and Stacie. Finally she pulled out the last two dolls that had to be her and Jesscia, they too had a string tied to their chests.

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" Ashley mumbled to herself.

"Something beyond your comprehension." Ashley cursed as it felt like her heart was going to explode again. She looked around to see who had spoken but she was still alone in the room. "Return what you have taken."

Ashley slowly turned back to the box. She looked inside to see one more doll laying at the bottom. Running through the list of Bellas this doll could only be Lilly's. Why Lilly made a doll of herself was beyond her but Ashley clearly heard the voice coming from the box.

"I'm sorry." Ashley whimpered, she wanted to put the dolls back but it felt like the doll was staring back at her. "How are you talking to me?"

"Is it so difficult to believe that a master of puppets can control them even from a distance." To Ashley's terror the doll sat up all on its own, grabbing the edge of the box and lifting itself over the rim. "Now you shall be punished."

Ashley scurried to the corner of the room, desperate to get away. She had been backed into a corner, the doll shuffling towards her. Suddenly, the door to her room burst open with the actual Lilly standing in the doorway. The quiet girl quickly strode through the room, picked up the doll and threw it back into the box. The other dolls soon followed with Lilly slamming the lid closed and clutching the box to her chest.

She turned to the frightened girl on the floor. "Don't touch my things." Was all she said before leaving the room. Ashley just sat there, terrified by what she had seen.

"I'm never going into the basement again."
