Jake stirred a bit as he woke up.

"T-Bone?" he asked.

"Well, someone's got their appetite!" a non-binary nurse said as they walked over to Jake.

"Oh, god! What happened?" Jake asked as the nurse put the bed into a sitting up incline.

"You came into contact with an experimental fuel and got pretty sick. Luckily, your fur took most of the damage and you were given an antidote."

"If you're gonna ask me to tell ya exactly what happened, I don't remember…"

"It's okay, your coworkers filled us in on what happened. How do you feel?"

"Nnh… shoulders are a bit stiff," Jake said as he tried to do some shoulder circles.

"Yeah, according to your new coworker, that should last a couple days."

"New coworker?"

"Yeah, the old company's fuel made it into the scrapyard, which you got into contact with."

"How long am I gonna stay here?"

"Bout two more days. We wanna make sure you're hydrated and have enough electrolytes. I'll make sure you can get something to eat," the nurse said as they left the room.

Jake started to pinch himself to make sure he was alive.

Chance had been discharged from the hospital and was waiting for Burke and Murray to pick him up.

He was NOT expecting them to show up in their work truck.

"I thought you were bringing the pickup," Chance said as he got in the truck.

"Yeah… it got wrecked," Murray said.

"How?"

"We thought we had a customer, turned out to be some crazy guy tryna steal somethin', so he crashed our truck."

"And a customer's car and the garage," Burke said.

"What?!" Chance exclaimed. "Did the enforcers get the guy?!"

"Nope, he drove away after he did that and sped off," Murray said. "You cool with picking up supplies to fix the garage after breakfast?"

"Can we head to the garage so I can one, see the damage and two, change into clean clothes?"

"Yeah, man, no problem."

Normally, Lt. Steele wouldn't complain about having another day in charge of the enforcers, but he was hoping to take some time off for himself after the appearance of the jets yesterday.

But considering that Commander Feral had a 'really bad headache', that wasn't happening anytime soon.

He decided to head down to the infirmary, because he heard that Felina stayed there overnight.

He walked into the infirmary and found the nurse on duty.

"Hi, I'm checking to see if Felina's still here," Steele said.

"Yeah, she is. She opted to stay here overnight," the nurse said.

"Would it be alright if I see her?"

"Sure, follow me," the nurse led him to the room Felina was in.

"Did she get a psych eval?"

"We believe sha has PTSD, but we're going to have her see a couple of specialists to be sure of it."

They arrived at the room.

The nurse knocked on the door. "Lt. Feral? You have a visitor."

"Give me a sec," Felina said.

A few seconds later she opened the door.

"Hey, Felina, how are you?" Steele asked.

"A lot better, thanks. Did my uncle send you?" she asked.

"No, I came on my own. Your uncle said he wasn't feeling well."

"So, I guess that makes you acting commander three days in a row, huh?"

"Yeah, believe it or not, but I'm not actually thrilled about it. I'm thinking of taking a day off when he comes back."

"Hey, maybe we can hang out together, then," Felina said with a chuckle.

Steele chuckled back. "Yeah, sounds like a good idea."

Xxx

Chance stood in front of the garage, in shock of how fucked up it was.

The door was half obliterated, two walls were damaged, the thing they used to life cars up off the ground to work on their undercarriages was scrap metal, the counter they had the cash register on was gone, a third wall was 30-40% gone and you could see his and Jake's makeshift workout area.

"Holy—what—how—where are the cars?!" Chance finally managed to get out.

"The ones that could be fixed were sent to a different repair shop," Murray said.

"And the others?!"

Burke and Murray pointed to a black crumpled metal and a silver crumpled metal of to the side of the garage by a salvage pile.

"OH!" Chance put his hands on his head in disbelief. "They look like fucking accordions!"

"Yeah, and I've only had that truck for a year," Murray sadly said as he gave a small gesture to the black metal.

"Isn't the insurance company paying for a replacement?" Burke asked.

"They are, but…"

"I'm going to get dressed and then we'll go," Chance said as he headed to the stairs.

Aerospark was lying on her stomach in the bunker, listening to hear if the kats left yet.

She had transformed into her root form after everyone had left the previous evening, due to new alt mode cramps, so she needed to stretch.

Her audials flicked and her tail twitched subconsciously.

Now would be a good time to describe what she looked like.

Her body would be considered 'masculine' by male/female societies. If she were old enough during the era of Functionalism on Cybertron, she would have been put into the warrior class, most likely a Seeker.

Her natural paint color was a light-medium blue, so the black paint she coated herself in was turning a navy blue, due to a Cybertronian's unique biology. Good thing that the new red paint was staying the same hue.

Her hands looked normal, but the tips of her digits could transform into cat-like claws. Her pedes were pretty much the same basic, brick-like shape as any other bots, but her 'toes' had more flexibility than others, making it easier for her to walk in uneven areas. The bottoms of her pedes also had toe pads, which helped her keep ground on various surfaces, since they acted like the bottoms of running and hiking shoes.

Now, here comes her more… unique traits.

Her audials—the Cybertronian version of ears, sometimes called 'head fins'—were cat ears with the full mobility of the real deal. She could even emote with them.

She also had a tail. A floofy looking one. Sure, some Cybertronians had animal-like physical traits, but a tail?! The only other known Cybertronians with tails were Steeljaw, Trypticon, and the odd Dinobot or so.

Physical animal traits weren't the only things she had. When she was younger, her behavior was much more cat like—granted she was a feral youngling back then. She no longer acted like a cat, but she sometimes had brief slide backs.

Of course, her animal behavior didn't help from being called a 'furry' by assholes on earth. She didn't have anything against them, but it hurt her feelings.

And right now, she was trying to keep her tail from knocking something important over.

"Hurry up and leave!" she quietly pleaded.

Xxx

Ulysses did a squeaking groan as he got up.

To his surprise, his headache was gone.

He got out of his bed.

"Might as well check up on Furlong and Clawson after I eat and get dressed," he grumbled.

Xxx

Chance, Burke, and Murray had breakfast at a diner and were currently shopping at a construction store, getting supplies to fix the garage.

"Are we sure we can fix the garage on our own?" Chance asked as he pushed a lumber cart.

"Yeah, we're just getting what we need to fix it, and things'll be faster when Jake's discharged from the hospital," Murray said.

"Oh, man! He's gonna FREAK when he sees the damage!"

"Good thing the insurance company's payin' for it," Burke said.

"I wonder what Jake's gonna be freaked more at: the garage damage, or you guys being nice foe once?"

"The garage," the brothers said in unison.

"You guys got a shopping list or something, right?"

Murray held up his phone. "Got emailed what we need."

"We all did," Burke added.

Chance checked his phone.

"Our work emails. On our work phones," Murray said.

Xxx

Amelia was on edge since her cover was nearly blown.

She was currently sitting at the office computer, waiting for the blueprints for the garage reconstruction to fully print out.

The boys were nice enough to leave her Chance's work phone, since she never gave them her number.

She heard a car pulling up to the garage.

"What the fuck?!" was what she heard from the driver.

"Ah, scrud!" Amelia ran out of the office and grabbed a tire iron as a weapon.

She ran out and saw a 'tom-kat' (as was the species slang for a male, at least, to her understanding) that was at least 6'8" stomping to the garage with an aggressive look on his face.

"If you're here to rob, murder, or kidnap us, you've got another thing coming to ya, bud!" Amelia said as she held up the tire iron.

"Did YOU cause this?!" the male accused.

"Hell no! who the fuck are you?! A male 'Kareen'?!"

That last sentence caught him off guard.

"D—No! I'm the commander of the enforcers!" he bellowed. "Now, where are—"

"Oh, puh-lease!" Amelia rolled her eyes. "Do you even have any credentials on ya?"

"I may be in street clothes, but—" the alleged commander checked his pockets. "Damnit! I left them at home." He palmed his face.

Burke and Murray's truck then began to come into view of the scrapyard.

"Oh, good! The boys are back. They'll help me deal with you," Amelia said with a smirk.

The tom lightly growled at her in annoyance.

The trucked pulled into the scrapyard and parked next to the garage, backed up to it, of course.

The 3 other toms climbed out of it.

"Can you guys help me get this guy off the property?" Amelia asked as she gestured to the tom with the tire iron.

"That's the commander!" Chance exclaimed. "He's our boss!"

"Wait, what? I didn't know the enforcers ran the scrapyard!"

"Guess that explains the missing email," Murray muttered to Burke.

"What the hell happened here, Furlong?!" the commander barked as he stomped up to Chance and pointed at the garage.

"Ow! Not so loud, Feral, I got a concussion," Chance said has he held his hands to his ears.

"And when did that happen?" Feral crossed his arms.

"Sometime the other day. I hit my head when salvaging. Have few hours missing."

"Can Clawson verify it?"

"Jake's in the hospital," Murray said. "Came into contact with an experimental fuel, but he'll be fine."

Burke, Murray, can you guys explain what happened to the garage to the commander?" Amelia asked. "I need to tell my old company where we needed to send my job info."

"And I need to take an aspirin," Chance said as he and Amelia walked to the garage.

"Wait, miss, I'm going to give you one of the enforcers' employment contact information cards," Feral said as he went to his car and got a business card.

"Thanks," Amelia said as she took the card. "This'll help my former employers. My name's Amelia Boyer, by the way."

"Commander Ulysses Feral."

Jake was currently now screaming into his pillow, writhing in agony on his stomach.

Oh, my fucking god! This is worst cramp I've had in my life!

"Jake, we need you to give us your left arm! You'll need to roll onto your right side, we're going to give you saline!" a nurse said.

Jake, with the help of another nurse, rolled onto his right side, and was given the saline.

"This better work," the nurse who helped him onto his side mumbled as she rubbed his cramping back.

The cramp subsided way too slowly.

Jake whimpered as he tried to bury his face into the pillow again.

"No, don't do that, Jake. We can get you another pillow to hug, if you want," the nurse rubbing his back said.

"O-okay," Jake managed to groan out. "C-could you k-keep rubbing m-my ba-ack. I-it helps a lot."

"Alright then," the nurse kept rubbing his back as her coworker got the pillow.

She then felt something odd.

"Huh? Jake, do you feel like there's little beads where I'm rubbing?" she asked.

"Yeah, a-a little, now that you mention it," Jake said.

The nurse stopped rubbing. "I'm going to be right back; I'm getting the doctor."

Steele was going through paper work (mostly Commander Feral's) in his temporary office (aka, Commander Feral's office) when the telephone rang.

He checked the caller ID and saw that it was an unlisted number.

"Hello?" he asked.

"Ah, yes, this is Utgard Magnus, of Iacon Industries. We have a former employee working at your scrapyard and we may have accidently sent ger information to the wrong location. We're just trying to double check where to send it," the voice on the other end said.

"'Iacon Industries'?" Steele asked. "I've never heard of that company before."

"We tend to keep our projects top secret, for the safety of our employees, hence we aren't very well known outside of certain circles."

Steele could think of a few reasons a company would do that. Mainly, Megakat City's villainous population.

"Guess that makes sense. How are you sending the employee information?"

"Via email, in a word document."

"Okay, I'll give you my email, go over it, and email you bac. Is that alright?"

"Yes, it is."

Xxx

Jake groaned as the doctor pulled out the last of the tiny crystal that had formed in his pores.

"Take these to the lab," the doctor said to a nurse as he put the small, oblong crystal into the container she held.

The nurse nodded and left.

"Jake, do you have any idea what the substance was?" the doctor asked.

"I dunno…" Jake muttered.

The doctor gave him an unbelieving look.

"Quit lyin' hot shot," the doctor crossed his arms.

"All I know is what the nurse told me when I woke up," Jake said.

"Really? 'Cause your injury looked like laser fire."

"I don't know how it happened; I don't remember anything from the day it happened."

The doctor got very close to his face. "I wonder how likely Commander Feral'll believe your little story."

The doctor then left the room.

"What the hell?" Jake groaned.

Xxx

Feral was walking to his office.

Yes, it was still his day off, but he wanted to visit his niece, but couldn't find her.

"Hello, Commander Feral," his secretary, Katniss Genovesse, said to him.

"Hello, Gen," Feral said. "Have you seen my niece?"

"No, sir, I haven't. maybe the lieutenant commander knows where she is."

Feral nodded. "Any I assume he's in my office, isn't he?"

"Says he's keeping the seat warm."

Feral scoffed and entered the office.

Steele was at his desk, working on the computer.

"Steele, is Felina here today?" Feral asked.

Steele practically jumped out of his seat when Feral spoke.

"C-Commander Feral! W-what are you doing here today?" Steele asked.

"I decided to say hello to my niece, but I can't seem to find her," Feral said.

"Well, we were investigating a plane crash wreck when the purple jets flew overhead, and—YIPE!"

Feral grabbed Steel by the collar of his shirt. "I swear, if anything—"

"N-no one was hurt! Feline had a panic attack! Sh-she went home after staying overnight in the infirmary!"

Feral threw him down to the floor. "I'm going to corroborate your story with the infirmary."

Feral stormed out the door.

Gen walked in after Feral left.

"Lt. Steele, are you alright?" she asked as she walked to where Steele sat on the floor.

"I-I'm fine. J-just a little shook up," Steele said as he stood back up with Gen's help.

"Should we contact the IAB?"

"No way! I-I mean, no, he's just worried about Felina."

"Are you sure?"

Steele nodded.

Sgt. Talon arrived at the hospital Jake Clawson was in.

A doctor had called Enforcers HQ about Jake possibly being on something.

Let's get this crud over and done with, her thought as he walked up to Dr. Kieter.

"Sargent Talon, you know that trouble maker, Clawson? I have reason to believe he's done some sort of drug," Kieter said.

"What makes you believe that?" Talon pulled out a notepad.

"These weird crystals we found in Clawson's back. Follow me to the lab."

Talon followed the doctor, even though he already decided that the doctor was wrong.

They arrived at the lab and the doctor held up a sample cup.

"What do you think of this?" Kieter asked.

Talon took the cup and looked at the contents.

"Since when are arts and crafts supplies drugs?" Talon dryly asked.

"Look at the compounds; it must be drugs," Kieter handed him some paperwork.

"How about we let the Megakat City Bio-Mechanical Lab take a look at this? I'm going to ask Jake what happened, then check with his coworkers."

"You aren't gonna arrest him?!"

"And where, may I ask, did you get these samples?"

"His upper back and shoulder area—"

"Who the hell puts drugs on that part of the body?"

Kieter opened his mouth, but Talon raised a hand, signaling him to shut the fuck up.

"As a doctor, you're supposed to be unbiased. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have interviews to do and samples to drop off," talon put the bottle in an evidence bag.

Steele opened the email from Iacon Industries on Amelia's info.

He opened the word doc and read its contents to put into an official file.

He began to put the following into the official file:

Name: Boyer, Amelia

Age: 22

DoB: 19XX/Jan/07

Sex: F

Height: 5'8"

Years Employed at Company: 3.5

Skills: mechanics, first aid, self-defense, mathematics

Reason for leaving company: personal

Steele sighed. "Not much to go on, but, unfortunately, understandable."

He opened an email draft to send when another came in.

He opened it and read it.

Apologies, we neglected some physical descriptions of Amelia Boyer.

Her fur color is light grey, with cropped dark brunette hair.

Hazel eyes

Tail fur length: medium

- Utgard Magnus

He added the info into Amelia's work file.

"Least we know what she looks like," he muttered.

Xxx

Chance, Burke, Murray, and Amelia were about to start rebuilding the garage when a few cars pulled in.

Amelia picked up a 2x4.

"Relax, we know these cars," Chance said.

"Hey, there, Furlong!" an older male said as he got out of his car. "Heard you were doing some remodeling!"

"Yeah, some wacko messed it up," Chance said as he pointed his thumb at the garage.

"Hey, where's the bomb squad maestro?" a thin, tan, and grey-haired male asked.

"Still at the hospital. Workplace mishap," Murray said.

"So… who are these people?" Amelia asked, still holding the 2x4.

"Oh, these guys are people Jake and I sed to work with back when we were enforcers," Chance said. "Most of 'em are retired."

"What caused you and Jake to work at the scrapyard?"

"Ugh, I'll tell ya later. How about I introduce you to some of these guys.

The kats Chance knew were: Lt. Clyde Purkins, his and Jake's drill sergeant; Lt. Michael Sinian, who was in charge of the bomb squad and related to a museum curator; and Mrs. Amanda Talon, Michael's younger sister and wife of a Sgt. Talon.

The occupants of the other four cars were enforcers around Jake and Chance's ages, but we don't have time to name seven other enforcers.

"Nice to meet you all," Amelia said as she put the 2x4 behind her back. "I started working here a couple days ago."

"How is it, dear?" Mrs. Talon asked.

"Aside from, well, that," – she gestured to the garage – "pretty good so far."

"Alright, let's get ready to start working," Lt. Purkins said.

Xxx

"Look, Sgt. Talon, I swear I wouldn't do drugs!" Jake said.

"I know that, Jake, we just want to make sure it wasn't intentional," Talon said.

"I don't think it was, I have some amnesia."

Talon sighed. "I'm going to see if I can get you released from this hospital in the morning."

"Really? Why?"

"Two words: Doctor Kieter."

"Oh, yeah… right."

"I'm sure your coworkers would enjoy your help fixing the garage," Talon said as he went to leave."

"Wait—WHAT?!" Jake exclaimed.

Xxx

Felina was getting some ingredients out as she prepped her kitchen to make dinner when her doorbell buzzed.

"I'm coming!" she called out as she walked to the front door.

She opened the front door and saw Lt. Steele there, who seemed to be pretty shook up.

"Hey, what's wrong?" she asked.

"Y-your uncle showed up at work today and physically threatened me," John said with a small amount of fear in his voice.

"What?! No way!" Felina exclaimed as she let him in. "Wh-why would he do that?!"

"I told him we were investigating a plane wreck when the purple jets showed up. That's when he freaked and lifted me up by the collar. And he's more a foot taller than me! I was fucking terrified!" Steele said as he collapsed onto the couch.

"Look, he may have just been worried about me," Felina said as she sat down next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder. "He may not act like it, but he was affected by the—" she shuddered "—cl-close call too."

"O-oh, hey, it's okay, we're safe here," John held her other hand and patted it to calm her down.

They looked at each other before erupting into a fit of giggles.

"I guess we always know who to turn to in a crisis," Felina joked.

"Ha-he… yeah…" John said.

"Hey, I'm making some spaghetti, want some?"

"Are you sure it's okay?"

Yeah, I make loads of leftovers."

"Ah, why don't you let me help you out?"

"Alright then, you're on the spaghetti sauce!"

They got off the couch and walked into the kitchen.

In an alien spacecraft, high above in the planet's atmosphere a meeting was taking place.

"Soundwave, how is our little plant working?" Starscream asked.

Soundwave audibly groaned. "I told you, it won't be fully working for a week. Be patient."

"Knockout, how is the... er... pink alchemy coming along?" Starscream asked with disgust.

"With the... harvest-" Knockout had a small gag "- we should be fine for another month."

"If we had 50 more kats," Airachnid said.

"What are you talking about, Airachnid?" Starscream asked.

"Standard Cybertronians, such as yourself, won't be able to properly get all the nutrients you need from it. Insecticons can, however. And the vehicons and earadicons are fuel efficient."

Starscream scoffed in frustration. "Fine, do you have any suggestions?"

"We hunt healthier specimens. Simple as that."

"You are now authorized for 'shopping trips'."

"Speaking of 'the hunt', did you confirm those vigilantes' demise?" Flamewar asked as she put her elbows on the table and her chin on the backs of her hands.

"Well, their precious 'Turbokat' has been totaled by yours truly," Starscream said in full peacock mode.

"But are they dead?"

Starscream slumped a bit. "I am unsure of that. Aerospark managed to save them before escaping."

"We believe we know of their location, but it would be too high profile to harvest them," Soundwave added.

"Well, hunting does involve patience," Airachnid stated.

"Soundwave, has Megatron said anything?" Flamewar asked.

"On the energon deposit? Nothing. All he said so far was to keep a low profile make sure Starscream doesn't do anything stupid," Soundwave said.

"Which I have not so far," Starscream stood up straight and puffed out his chest a little.

"The how do you explain leaving with 20 earadicons and returning with only one?" Knockout dryly asked.

"The SWAT Kats missile were highly unconventional!"

"It requires further research," Soundwave said.

"Meeting's over!" Starscream walked out of the room.

"But we still have-" Knockout was cutoff by the door closing.

There was a brief awkward silence.

"So, I'm going to go through the local news medial files, anyone want to join?" Soundwave asked.

Knockout and Flamewar raised their hands while Airachnid shrugged.
