~Vanji's POV~

"No way," I snorted.

Tsukishima swore up and down that at my first tennis match that he and the whole team would attend.

"Do any of you even understand tennis?" I giggled.

"Absolutely. There's a racket, a ball, and a lot of suggestive screaming right?" He teased.

"Haha I guess that's the general concept."

I forgot how nice it felt to laugh. I had been so absorbed in my own wallowing. I had forgotten how close I had gotten with the others. They were all so supportive of one another. No matter what. I really hoped I could continue being here with them once my season began.

Tsukishima must have noticed I was beginning to wander in my own thoughts because I felt him wrap his arm around my shoulder,

"You think too much kid. Don't be so serious."

I smiled, then, heard someone's steps.

I looked and saw Hinata coming towards us. He looked furious.

Tsukishima instantly moved to be in front of me.

That only made Hinata angrier.

"What the hell Tsukishima? Move out of the way!" He shouted.

"No way.. not until she gives me the word." He said as he crossed his arms.

"What business do you have playing keep away with her?" Hinata growled.

"Oh me.. maybe I like Vanji. Maybe I think she deserves better than to be tossed away when she doesn't meet your selfish expectations." Tsukishima snarled.

"Tsukishima what are you-"

Tsukishima shushed me.

Hinata looked like he would explode but, suddenly, his gaze dropped, "You're right... I took her for granted.. I only was thinking of my own selfish interests. I wanted her to be mine and only mine. I wanted to be her entire world.. and when I was snapped back into reality I realized.. she doesn't need me. Hell quite the opposite.. she's strong.. confident and can whoop my butt in any competition."

"She doesn't need me. But.." Hinata moved to where he could see me fully, "I need her."

"I need your pushiness, I need your temper, I need your compassion.. I need you, Vanji."

I felt my heart fluttering in my chest.

Tsukishima faked a gagging sound, "Well kiddos, I think that's all the mushiness I can take."

He reached over and whispered in my ear, "Let me know if he ever hurts you again. I'll make him or any other guy sorely regret it."

I laughed. He marched past Hinata and smacked him on the back causing Hinata to choke.

"D-dammit Tsukishima.."

That left just the two of us.

*WARNING: Some fluff and light lemons.*

We both stood, just in awe of the confession that had been made. Hinata slowly took steps towards me.

"Oh no.. no no you don't get to come over here looking like that and think I'm going to fall for your tricks again Shoyo,"I pouted.

"Vanjiiii.." Hinata whined.

"No." I took a step backward.

He took two more closer to me. I kept back peddling until I felt my back bump into a wall. I tried to turn to run but Hinata had blocked my escape routes by trapping me in his arms.

"No more games," he breathed into my ear, "No more keep away. You're caught Vanji."

The warmth of his breath caused heat to churn in my stomach. I tried to hide the blush in my cheeks.

"Look at me.." he protested.

I slowly lifted my gaze and saw the familiar flame in his eyes. I felt like I would smolder in it. Then, his lips crushed into mine.

We had kissed before, but never like this. There was an urgency, a yearning need to be close. Hinata was gripping my waist and I had unknowingly tangled my fingers in his hair.

I forgotten how much I loved the warmth of his touch, the curls of his hair, the taste of his lips. We were so absorbed into one another that I barely realized the sound of the coach's whistle calling everyone back to begin warm ups.

I reluctantly pulled back, "You.. you've gotta go Mr. Ace."

He grumbled, "Hmm.. duty calls I suppose.. but.."

Hinata slowly started trailing kisses up my neck and whispered into my ear, "Don't think I'm finished with you yet Miss Manager."
