Goldman woke up in a sweat, while the rest of the men slumbered on, ignorant of the terror faced by their hut-mate. He tried to calm down, but he couldn't fall back asleep. He knew he'd toss and turn until morning. Tears fell as he fumbled for his dog-tags.

The sound of an order haunted his thoughts.

No one truly knew what happened to Goldman after his plane went down. His C.O. suggested changing his tags. And Goldman complied. Despite being found by the S.S., he made it to a POW camp. The unfortunate soul captured with him did not.

A/N; microsoft word has this at 100 words. Sorry for the serious change in tone. Late in his life, my father (who rarely spoke about his service in the Royal Navy) told us he changed his ID disc from Hebrew to C of E-Church of England. We don't know if this was true or if he thought he did this. It was the first time my sister and I heard about it. (only a few years before he died)...He had dementia, so we aren't sure, and we were never able to find his disc.
